Israeli assault on Hamas

Baaahhh ..just when I thought 2009 going to be a new year for me. But, it seems some things never change. I don't know, this couple of weeks leading up to the new year, crazy thing seems to be happening. Is the world getting more bonkers?

I should believe so. Unless, we ourselves want things to change then, nothing will change. It's really up to us. We can't depend on others to do the changing. We need to change together as human beings. I guess with the world economy in tatters, people are getting nervous, edgy and desperate.

What gives eh?

Click here to read about the latest Israeli assault killing more then 200 and injured 400. They can do that because they have their planes, tanks etc. But, what do the Palestinians have?

Is it a fair fight?

Okay, the Palestinian guerillas are partly to blame sending rockets in to the Israeli territory but, I don't think they're going to stop. Things are getting desperate over at the Palestinians territory and in this way they're making the world see their plight. They, know the Israeli would retaliate and now the Arabs and the world are trying to ask for restrain and all that. But, really. Now, everyone will focus their attention at the middle east crisis again. The Palestinians still aren't getting support. Something, need to be done. The Palestinians need to be help with their country. They need help with the government, housing, water, food. The things that we took for granted everyday.

If Palestine as a country fail, then the middle east crisis would fail. That's all to it.

I've said enough for now. Take care and think about it.

Apple support and review staff Incompetence

Note: Apparently, some developers are having problem on getting their games approved to be included to the iTunes store. Here's a letter from one of them.

To know more about Zombie Mangle visit TouchArcade Forum.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I'm Perry Hart, the sole developer at PHARTGAMES.

It's apparent that Apple's systems for reviewing iPhone applications and supporting developers is inadequate and down right amateur.

There has been quite a large amount of hype about my new app ZombieMangle, a first person shooter. Alot of people want to play it after seeing the videos on youtube and especially after the massive disappointment of Zombie Mansion and Cube.

I submitted Zombie Mangle over a week ago now, Which was what i though would be a perfect time to release just before christmas. However, A few days after submission apple sends me an email stating that they require  "Unexpected Additional Time For Review" with no reason whatsoever for the delay. So I do a search for any other developers who have received this email, and it appears there's ALOT of them.

What this email basically means is that your application has joined a queue which never gets looked at and your app wont be approved, or rejected depending on apples discression for months. One developer has been on the queue for three months, and received absolutely no information about what was wrong.

The email address to get help about app reviews, as stated by apple is devprograms@apple.com. Developers can send all the emails they like to this address, they just get ignored.

Developers can call phone support however the people on the other end of the line can barely speak english, and are unable to help with anything. They say they cannot contact the review staff to one developer, to others they say they have sent an email asking for information, others they say they will call back (with no call back). Some developers are told that their application has received an "Escalated Priority" all of which seems like absolute rubbish as they still get no result after months of waiting.

One fellow developer has called numerous times trying to get a name changed on their tax information. They get told the issue has been Escalated however are still waiting months afterward for a simple name change. Apple are even in violation of their contract as they haven't been paid for some regions, even after the 45 days past the end of the month as stated in the iphone developer contract. But this is a seperate issue.

So, with no indication from apple what the issue is with ZombieMangle I figure i'll be proactive and change the game to remove the blood as it may be too extreme, change the effects to green instead of red, change the  zombies into aliens, change all the interface graphics containing red blood to green etc. I even changed the sheep to robot sheep incase they had some issue with aliens attacking sheep. Then I resubmitted under a different name Alien Mangle. In my submission I stated clearly in CAPS "IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS APP, DO NOT SEND ME AN UNEXPECTED ADDITIONAL TIME EMAIL, REJECT IT AND TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS"

Today I received the same canned email stating the requirement of additional time.

Calling out for help on the official forums has yielded nothing more than moderators canned replies stating email addresses and phone numbers.

I think it's time that all developers and potential developers know that they are working with amateurs.

Thanks,
Perry Hart.

Apple buys stake in mobile graphics chip..

My 601 post is about the latest updates on Apple move to buy stake in a mobile graphics chip designer.

In short, look out for better games in the nearest future!

Woohooo!

I can't wait for the next gen iPhone. I'm not really interested in iTouch. I know they got bigger memory but, I think I'm going to buy the next gen iPhone as I know they'll keep improving it for years to come. Yeah, the iTouch will be improved further too, but I like that I can use the phone features. In any case, I won't need to bring an iTouch and a phone right? I'll just need to bring my iPhone!

Enuff chatters. Click here to read up on this latest Apple updates!

Good day and good fun ya all!

Happy Eid al-Adha!

Just wanna wish a happy Eid al-Adha to all Muslims!

Time, wait for no man but man likes to waste time. Do something good in your life so that in return God will give great tidings to you. Remember HIM and HE will remember you. Life, is a journey towards the end and the end will belong to you if you own it. Death is only the beginning, but it's the end for whom who doesn't believe. Believe in HIM and HE will believe in you. You are but a product of your own thoughts. See in the truth and not just what truth does it seem. See things as what they are and not what you perceive. Seek and you shall find but seek not what is wrong but seek what is right. Soon, it will all end but do what you can to save yourself as nothing last forever and we'll all reach our destination come what may. In the end, it's all up to you. Do what is right and in truth. All you peaceful souls will soon return to where you belong...

India Under Terrorist Siege

So, Mumbai became like a war zone. Suspected, Al-Qaeda Pakistan-link terrorist lay siege. Frankly, I was thinking the same kind of strategy that the terrorist should have used years ago. But, I guess they were into suicide bombing kind of thingy. Just like the Palestinians suicide bomber?

Now, that same kind of strategy is maybe planned by Al-Qaeda for the U.S. But, I would have guess that they would do it during President Bush administration. I'm not sure if it will happen during Obama presidency. But, who knows right?

By the way, don't take my word for it. I'm not a counter-terrorist expert or someone who can forsee and prophecise thing or whatever. Only, that, if you put yourself into the terrorist shoe, you might began to know their way of thinking and maybe what they'll do next. I'm sure they're already planning something. But, what?

For one thing, they'll think outside the box. They aren't stupid. They, will plan, and do recon and become a sleeper etc. waiting for the right moment to strike. They might use the U.S. own weapon againts them. That's what they're good at. Use the things around you to hurt your enemy. But, I guess with the world economy on the decline started by the U.S. sub-prime, they'll be a bit happy about that.

Things have been a little quiet right now in the U.S. NOT because of whatever the security apparatus are doing but because, the Al-Qaeda are retreating and consolidating whatever resources it have right now. Remember, in war, just because your enemy is retreating doesn't mean that they're losing. They might be setting up a trap!

These days, it's not the time to let your guard down. The world are currently in financial turmoil. Thailand are in a political conundram, and India just laid siege. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan seems to have no end and what can I say about the middle east crisis that we all doesn't know about?

Baaahh ..the world just can't stop destroying itself ya?

But, back to the India siege. I see that they're totally tactical and well planned. That of course against the backdrop of India incompetency in combating the terrorist?

If you want more in-depth look on this then click here to read an article in Forbes.

Got to go right now. Be safe and have a great weekend.

Cube FPS (First person shooter) for iPhone 3G - FINALLY!

Click here to get your iPhone 3GS!

Hey guys,

So, guess what?

Finally. Cube is available for  the iPhone 3G after what seems like eternity waiting for Apple staff to approve it. I don't know what's the problem were, but I'm just glad that it's finally available and of course I download it immediately after reaching home!

Info posted on TouchArcade Forum: Click here.

A bit of warning though. Don't expect the game to fly right off the bat. Those, that had downloaded and try it out complain about the poor frame rates. Poor control and they definitely hated the music!

For me though, besides the frame rate I don't have any beef with the control or music. I'm just happy I can play an FPS on the iPhone, finally!

The developers are talking about an update version 1.2 that will improve the frame rates. I'm pretty sure the game play will vastly improved. What's more important are that other developers can learn from this Cube port. To create better game, with better control etc. I can't freaking wait!

I don't know why some people keep saying that the FPS type of game is not suitable for the iPhone. That's totally hogwash, and Cube is an example of that.

Well, anyway. For the moment Cube is free for the iPhone so why not try it out?

Just go to iTunes and look for Cube. Check out the video above!

Enjoy!

Touch Arcade: iPhone Games, Reviews and News

Just a quick recommend to a site that I frequent everyday now. Because, they update their site everyday. Also, they have an active forum where you can join and post your comments etc. Some of the game developers also frequent the site. So, you can also give input about their games or whatever. You can even suggest an apps or game that you wish they would develop on the iPhone.

The other day, I read about a game called Zombie Invasion. When, I search for it on the iTunes store, it couldn't be found but through the forum I found out the problem and finally click the link provided by the game dev himself. So, that's how useful the site is if you're interested to learn about the latest apps and games that are being put out for the iPhone.

Check it out now!

Visit http://toucharcade.com

Good night!

P.S. By the way, my nick at the forum is along123. If you're there, say hi to me. C ya!

P.P.S. If you play the F.E.A.R multiplayer or any other multiplayer FPS game if you see the nick along123. That's me too! Remember to say hi!

Download Google Chrome and Google Earth Today!

So today, while searching for new updates on "iphone FPS games" on Youtube, I saw a link to try out Google Chrome, Google shiny new browser. I must say, my first impression was it looks so brand new!

It's like buying a new gadget for me. LoL. It has a nice blue color and everything seems 'zippy'. Well, I'm currently using the Chrome to type today's post. So far, so good. I have actually read about it on Cnet.com. But, didn't really think of trying it out until today. I'm already using Firefox and didn't think any other browser is better then it. But, what de heck. Since, I'm feeling a little curious today, why not download it right?

Also, at the same time, I downloaded the latest Google Earth. Like the Chrome, I've heard about it but wasn't that interested to try it out until today. I guess, today is like Google day for me, huh?

Anyway, Google Earth is way cool man. You should definitely check it out, if you haven't that is. I like it. I tried it out just now and it's definitely accurate. Or almost accurate?

Lucky, they didn't have any camera out there or you can actually see me half-naked right now, typing this post. Ha!

I'm actually waiting and wondering if I can get it on my iPhone. I know in the U.S. version of the iTunes you can already download it, but, I can't find it on my Singapore iTunes store. Bummer. I love this cool software. It's better then the Google map on the iPhone right now. And, it seems more fun to be able to look up your local road or check out italy on my iPhone!

Can't freaking wait to download it for my iPhone. Yeah, told you I love my iPhone so much!

Well, I'm off to try out Google Chrome and Google Earth. You should too!

Download it and try it out now!

Have a fun Sunday!

Chow!

P.S. It definitely feels the Chrome is much faster then Firefox writing and posting this post.

Am i an iTunes/iPhone addict?

Top paid apps on the App Store

First off, Singapore is in a recession. Click here to read news. Although, personally, I'm not feeling the heat, but I read about it almost everyday in the papers. I did work in an American company before where they laid off some workers and although, I was new there and they were saying I was safe but when some of us was being called to be told about the laying off, I did feel a little nervous. But, that was almost 10 years ago. Since, then, I've been in and out of jobs. I can't seem to stick to a job long enough. I got short attention span and I get bored doing the same job. Life is too short eh?

Anyway, besides the economy, I think I have another personal problem and that is I'm turning into an iTunes App store addict. LoL. Everyday, when at work and at home, I keep surfing the iTunes App store for new apps especially the game section. I can't stop myself. Although, my 3G iPhone is already loaded with lot of games, I still want more!

I have already spend almost $300++ ($200 in the first month of getting the iphone!) buying games through the App store. I can't freakin' stop myself. Okay, the games might not match the DS lite and PSP but I'm still hooked to it. Even though the new PSP-3000 is on sale (is it already?) and there are tons of games but I prefer my iPhone. You can't really blame me. I think because, I bring my iPhone everywhere. Even, to the toilet! Ha ha. There's so much you can do on the iPhone. It's not just for games but, you can surf, search, read news, check your email, listen to music, watch movies, videos and so on. It's an all in one device and so far, I'm really satisfied with it. It really hadn't disappoint me in any way. Okay, maybe you still can't MMS, bluetooth files or take videos. But, I didn't really miss it. But, I do hope on that side they would offer it in the 3rd gen iPhone and beyond. I'm pretty sure, the iPhone will be improved upon more every year. It's already a powerful device right now!

One kind of game I'm still waiting for the iPhone is the FPS 0r first-person-shooter kind of game. Like the one for the game console of course. There's a couple, coming on the iPhone, but so far there's no latest updates. I read somewhere that it's coming this November. We'll see then. I really hope, the FPS on the iPhone is the kick-ass type of FPS. Then, it will really raise the standard of the iPhone as a gaming platform. Yeah, the cute puzzle and flying games is fun for the iPhone. But, only an FPS kind of game will really draw the hardcore gamers to the iPhone. Not, sissy games!

Add multiplayer capabilities to it and voila!

You'll then see hordes of gamers on the train, buses, school, gardens, cars and don't forget the toilets! LoL!

'Nuff said. I have already surveyed the iTunes Apps store a couple of times today. I'm going to have a look again, see if there's any new updates. He he!

Hmm.. maybe, I AM an iTunes or iPhone addict!

See ya all later!

Download FREE online fps shooters!

Download FREE online fps shooters!

Okay, okay. The world is in turmoil right now. Everybody is on edge and money is a concern nowadays. What with the U.S. banks going bankrupt or maybe soon the U.S. itself is going bankrupt?

Billions of dollars being spend on the never ending "war on terror". Baaahhh humbug! Could this be the work of the 'economic terrorist' you say?

Definitely not! It's the work of 'investor terrorism'!

Well, anyway. I'm not going to talk about the war on the economic front today. I'm not the expert on world economics. But, I'm going to recommend you some cool and anger-venting-first-person-shooter (shoot the wall streets financial adviser?) games. You can play it online or offline in a multiplayer set-up. And best of all? It's totally FREE!

Last week, my sis let me keep her brand new Dell pc with the core 2 duo processor. So, of course, I search the whole of the internet to see if I can find any free FPS shooter game to download and play!

I found a couple and boy, now, I'm hook!

Note: Some of these games I like because, I was able to download it quite fast and also having no problem playing it. The pc I'm using is Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 @2.20GHz 1.18GHz, 1.96GB of RAM. So, if you can't play it, don't blame me and maybe you need a new pc? He he!

Download FREE online fps shooters!
Here's a list of my favorite FREE FPS single/multiplayer shooter games:

  1. F.E.A.R Combat Multiplayer - My TOP free favorite first-person-shooter game! I like F.E.A.R multiplayer because it's free, it's fast and it's addicting! Download it, install and play. Doesn't get easier then that. By the way, the graphics and sound is like scary ambient. It's a great experience.
  2. AssaultCube - A fast and fun first-person-shooter. I like cube and Assault cube. As always, because it's free and fun. It got single player and also multiplayer. They have lots of players and servers.
  3. Cube Engine Games - Click to go to this main Cube website and from there you can download Cube, Cube 2, AssaultCube. All the games are based on the Cube Engine. Don't worry it's free and fast to download. You'll be up playing in no time!
  4. Warsow - Another great free FPS. The graphic is a little cartoonist and freaking' bright orange and purple! But hey, as long as it's free and fast to download and play? Check it out!
  5. Netuiz.com - A free open-source first person shooter. It's fast, immense, intense and did I already said it's free? Click the link to go to the main website and check out the graphics, videos and much more!
  6. AlienArena - Shoot Alien in this fun multiplayer first person shooter. You can play it online and offline too. Great fun! Check out the site for more info eh?
  7. Quakeunity.com - On this site you can download Urban Terror 4.1 FULL (.EXE). I just freakin love this game. The graphics are superb and the gameplay are fast and furious. If you haven't try it out yet then visit site to download. Can be a bit slow to download but worth the wait!
  8. idsoftware.com - The maker of Quake and other FPS which also includes Quake Arena Demo. So far, I've download Quake Arena, Quake 4 multiplayer demo (latest) and able to play the single/multiplayer online/offline Death match (DM) games. It's still load of fun though. Click to visit main site.
  9. Croteam - Get Serious! - Dev site for Serious Sam Series. To download the demo Click here to go to Cnet Download.com
Of course, there's more out there but, for now, these are some of the free online fps shooters that I manage to download and play online and offline. There's a few that I didn't download or did download but, for some stupid reason I can't play it. So for the moment, if you haven't heard or played these games yet then shoot away!

Have fun,  download first person shooter games!

Play these great free FPS games in this dark, gloomy, recession days. Enjoy!

Singapore heading for a recession?

I've been reading the news lately in particular starting from the U.S. subprime 'catastrophe' and finally, it's going to hurt Singapore too. Singapore largely depends on the U.S. economy and finally the 'subprime tsunamis' waves hit Singapore. Although, the impact was a bit slow to hit the European and Singapore shores but the people were already alerted of it's coming.

Although, I'm not a professional economist or anything like that but as a man on the street, I'm a bit worried. Time is already hard for the common man and with the U.S. dilly dallying on the rescue package it's not going to get better any time soon. Truly, the U.S. really need to learn from all that's been happening right now and maybe the rest of the world need to re-think their total dependency solely on the U.S. markets. Yes, the U.S. is the biggest pie you'll want but there's still other small pie that can be eaten and also it's a little safer then putting all your eggs in one bloody basket!

Singapore came through from the last recession and I'm just thinking that with Singapore strong stability and past profitability we might just get through it again. Our market are strong enough and the people will continue to work hard. Our engine are still strong and together as one people we'll get through it again. We did it before and with the Government backing we'll do it again. The government been all along advising the people to be ready and prudent and for those who had saved for the rainy day, that day has come for us to take out that umbrella!

All in all, although, I'm a little worried about the economy right now but I'm also quietly confident that we will get through it and come up a better country. We might be taking a bit of a knock but that could be good since, I think for a couple of years since the last recession people need to learn that life isn't going to be all glossy. There will be up and there will be down. And when we're up there, just remember to saved a little bit for a rainy day. You might need it.

The kids are getting a little fatter on the waist if you get what I mean. Ha ha!

So, hang on people, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

Good day and take care.

Android - Google phone

So like, I'm not sure if you know about a phone with Google Android software is coming out soon this Oct 22nd. I'm not sure if it'll be on sale in any retail shop even. For me in Asia, Singapore I don't think it's on offer anyway.

Though, at first I didn't really care much bout the "G-phone" with the 'ugly' and 'stupid' design but I'm slowly warming up to it. Because, it's using a platform that any developers can create and design cool games, apps etc. just like the iPhone. I like the idea of the freedom it gives to the developers and I suppose only good things will come out of it. Who knows right, this could be the only phone/platform that can challenge the iPhone?

Okay, maybe not in design but the ultimate platform for the next-gen smartphone.

I sure hope, the G-phone is going to be a lot cheaper then the iPhone 'cause I'm really thinking of getting and playing with it. I like to try out new stuff and beside the iPhone this is the latest new platform for me to dabble with!

Although, it's not out in retail store right now but you can check out the G-phone online by visiting the link below. Check it out!

Okay, then. It's almost midnight and I'm going to bed. Gd nightie!

Happy Hari Raya Aidil fitri

Just wanna wish every Muslims a Happy and Joyous Eidul fitri!

For more info on this celebration all around the world check out this wiki link at >>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hari_Raya_Aidilfitri

Also, tomorrow I'll start another 6 days of special fasting and maybe after that I'm thinking of fasting every Monday and Thursday. I've been wanting to do that for a long time but every time I change my mind. This time though, I'll try to make it. Ha ha. It's just something that I had wanted to do. What I'll get from it, I'll leave it to God. But, I know, it's good for my mental and physical state. Anyway, it's not a must. Like, I said. Something, I've been thinking of doing.

So, again. Happy celebration and to those who's also starting their 6 days of fasting. Let's do it man!

Good day!

On another subject, the other day, I was reading 'The Art of War' by Sun Tzu II. Waging War on my iPhone. Yeah, I have the book but, it's kind of cool to read it on your iPhone!

You can get it via iTunes App store. Just type "Sun Tzu" on the iTunes search. You can also definitely get it right from your iPhone too. There's also a whole lot of nice e books you can buy and download to your iphone. Check it out!

Anyway, I came to point no. 6 >
There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.

As you can obviously see, the U.S. army need to pull back as soon as possible from Iraq and Afghanistan. There's no use in staying too long and prolonged the war. Billions of U.S. dollars had already been wasted on this useless war that seems to have no ends (Click here to read in .pdf format of the cost of war on terror - The Cost of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Other Global War on Terror Operations Since 9/11).

They should have tried to avoid going to war in the first place and instead use the various Intelligence agency to get their man - in this case Osama.

How long have the war been going on? I remember when I first heard and watch CNN, BBC on my cable tv. I didn't see the first plane going into the World trade center of course but I did watch the second plane 'live' going straight for the second towers and also watch how both of the towers finally crumbled with smokes and debris everywhere. It was like watching the movies. I didn't really believe what I saw. I thought it was some kind of mistake. Some kind of crude joke. But, it did happen.

What happen next is of course the current and still the U.S. president George W. Bush decided to go to war in spite of what others think. Yeah, the crude speech, "either you're with me or againts me" I guess every one is againts him now eh?

And still, Osama is at large!

Well anyway, here's another excerpt from Sun Tzu no. 7 >> It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war that can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on.

I wonder if George Bush actually knows what de heck he's doing!

'nuff said!

Fuzzyshot.com - My iPhone photoblog

First off, I want to wish every Muslims a peaceful and happy Ramadan. Ramadan, is a 'magic month' where it's time we evaluate ourselves and concentrate solely on better-ing ourselves in 'One-ness' with God. May, HE accept our prayers and our sacrifices. Amin.

So, it's been almost 2 weeks since I got my new iPhone 3G. Ha ha. I've been busy playing with it. Downloading stuff, testing the apps, the 3G receptions and the phone itself. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. It actually exceeds my expectation of it. Even, my friend keep asking me to sell it to him if ever I wanted to. He can't get it from Singtel telco carrier like me as he just got his Samsung under a new contract. I think. Anyway, he's been like telling everyone I got it and I had to like demo it to them. Hey, Singtel, should PAY me for my part. Haha!

Anyway, I think I've exceeded my total expenditure for the month, what with the downloads and surfing. I wonder if I already exceeded my 1 gig data allocations. I think I have. I already spend almost $200 buying apps from the iTunes store. Crap!

I wanted to upload a video of the iphone on youtube and put it up here but, I'm having problem installing my nokia phone. Can't freakin get it to sync to my pc. Once, I get it to work and finish uploading it to youtube then I'll post it here. For now, check out my new iPhone photo blog online!

YES! Finally! Got my own iPhone (3G)!

Click here to get your iPhone 3GS today!

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yes! Finally! Got my very own 3G iPhone today!

Okay, okay. I know, I should have waited till Starhub offered it since I'm already with the carrier. But, I can't freaking stop myself!

So, here it is. Some of the pictures, I took of my brand new iPhone. I haven't played with it much yet. Just, getting the hang of it.

At the shop, I didn't even know how to 'On' the thing. I thought, I need only to press the 'Home' button. So, I was a little embarrass when the salesgirl showed me that I need to press the 'Standby' button first before pressing the 'Home' button.

So, right. Okay, I knew that! Ha ha!

I was a bit lucky, as I was afraid there will be a long queue when I reach the Singtel shop at Sengkang-Compass point.

But, in the end I didn't really had to wait that long. My sis were there before me and she told me that the iPhone was sold there and there are still a whole lot of stocks. There were already many people there buying the phone.

The whole time I was wondering if I should go to another place at Hougang Point where there are Singtel Shop too. But, anyway, glad I decided stick to Compass Point.

So, finally after a half-an-hour wait, I finally got my iPhone. I was a bit nonchalant but deep inside I was freaking excited. I felt like shouting out loud when I finally finished the transaction.

Way, cool man. I haven't felt so excited in my whole life. And, just for buying a phone? Ha ha. That's what the iPhone are doing to me.

What about you? Did you had the same feeling as me, when buying your first iPhone?

Check out the photos!

Heh! I bought the iPhone covers too!

Got, to protect your investments!

Ha ha!

I took all of the photos with my Nokia 6210. So, it isn't that good. But, hey, still okay hmm??

I'm still charging it. This is how it looks when it's on saving mode or 'Standby' mode. So dark and eery ain't it?

Ahh ..much better when the iPhone is on. See, all of the pre-installed icons. I don't know why, it looks so appealing to me. I just wanna kiss it!

Ha Ha. I'm not a nerd okay!

I just love tech gadgets!

Check out more photos below!

A little closer look!

All you need is, touch!

I haven't yet, try the ipod. Haven't uploaded any songs or movies. But, I tried, sms-ing my other phone and it works!

They say, my Singtel line would be activated in 2 days time. But, I could already msg my other phone with a Starhub account. Hmm.. what gives.

I haven't tried messaging or calling my sis and friends yet. I'll try it out maybe later. I need to save up my old contacts!

And, I'm doing it manually one at a time.
Before that? More photos!

Okay, I know. Where's the pic of the other windows? All, the pics I've taken is the 'Home' screen. Err ..I didn't realize it until now. Ha! I'll take some more photos later on with other screens. For now, these will do.

Oh yeah. I also haven't tried the wifi or 3G connection yet. I'm still charging it and I'm not sure if I can get any wifi at this time.

Anyway, there'll be lots of time to try that later on. A lot of places I wanted to try especially at home.

I'm also wondering about the bills. How much would it cost me by the end of the month?

I bought the 8G model for SGD$348 with the $56/mth package deals. I got 200 mins outgoing calls and free incoming. I also have 500 sms.

Let's just wait and see heh?

Well, they were right. The back of the iPhone is easily smudge with your fingerprints. Lucky, I bought the iPhone covers. So, I quickly put it on. It came together with the screen cover. So, it's okay now.

I love doing the touch with the iPhone. Ha ha. Nice, feeling. And, yeah the keyboard works great!

All, you need is to confidently touch-type it. Don't worry, about mistakes and you'll be fine. I tried test-type the virtual keyboard and send myself the sms.

I was pretty quick. Maybe, because, I'm used to typing on my treo. So, it seems normal to me.

I don't know bout the others but I'm cool with it.

Check out the camera. The pics taken by the iPhone is 'Okay' I guess. Too bad, they can't take video. But, I know there are software I can use if I wanted to.

This are the 2nd products, I've bought from Apple. So far, so good. I like their design and hype!

Wish, it was a little cheaper though. I don't have a Mac because it's too freakin expensive unlike the Pc. And, anyway, I'm afraid about the compatibility with other products.

I've been a Pc user for like so long and I tried an Apple mac before borrowed from my ex-girlfriend. Kind, of cool but, a little wierd in using it.

It was freakin slow. Maybe, it wasn't the latest version. I don't know. But, I'm using an old pentium III right now and it isn't as slow as an old mac!

Anyway, I'm just glad I finally got my very own iPhone 3G. Woohooo !! Feeling great and there are tons of things I wanted to try out with the iPhone.

I want to try the wifi and 3G connections. Also, the ipod, the virtual keyboard. Which, I'm not really having problem with. I have already tried messaging to some people and it already works fine. Way cool!

So, until later updates. Good night and sweet dreams!

By the way, what you waiting for? Get your iphone today!

Ha! Apple should pay me for this free advertisement!

Good night!

iPhone finally in Singapore!

Check it out!

Finally! The much-coveted item is here in Singapore shores. After, waiting for seems like eons and eons!

But, err ..I don't think I'll be getting it..just yet. He he. It's just that, only Singtel is offering it right now. Although, looking at the price and data plans, looks pretty tempting to me. I've heard that Starhub will also be offering it's own iPhone package near the end of the year. So, if, I can wait, I'll wait!

Anyway, seems like there's still a lot of issues unresolved with the iPhone right now. Although, I'm just hoping that Singapore wouldn't be having the same technical problem like the other countries. But, still, nothing beats holding the damn thing in your own hand. I'll be checking out the Singtel shops starting this 25th Aug. I wonder, if there's going to be a long line like the other countries. Singaporean are known to be 'kiasu' (i don't really know how to explain the meaning in english) so maybe, people would like rush to be the first in line. Let just wait and see. Should be in the news by today or maybe starting tomorrow.

I think the first batch would be given to the people that sign-up to be in the list on the 22nd at exeter rd. And, starting monday, would be sold around the island storewide. It's going to be a mad rush. Me? I'll just wait for now. Like, I said. I'm tempted to buy it but I hope I can stop myself! Heeeellpppp !!!

Ha ha!

Anyway, since last Friday, I haven't been able to surf the Internet and watching my cable tv. As, suddenly, it went dead. At first, I just brush it off thinking that maybe Starhub were just doing some updating or upgrading or whatever. But, then by monday, I still can't access my Internet and I can't even watch my normal favorite shows. So, I called, the tech support and they ask me to check the cable, unscrewing and screwing the connection but to no evail. Finally, to make the story short they send somebody to come over my house to take a look. So, the guy came and after checking the connectivity he finally discovered that, somehow the main cable connections outside my house were kind of loose. Well, it was kind of wierd as I didn't really had any kind of connection problem before. So, I was kind of surprised that was the only reason. Anyway, finally, today, I can surf as per normal and finally get to blog about it right now.

In any case, I did manage to get connected using somebody wifi near my home with the Eee pc. I use it to surf and cleared my email. Hail! To the Eee pc! It saved me from complete boredness when it matters most. Ha! And, I was thinking of selling it before. Well, anyway, like I've said, time and time again. You never know what's going to happen in the next mins. So, live the life you want to live and don't be chained by circumtances!

I've also learned that we should NEVER say never!

In life, strange things happened. So, anything could be possible in this life. Never say, never. And, give it all you've got!

That's all for now. Cheers!

Malaysia should open up to compete in globl market

Malaysian PM vetoes call to open university to non-Malays
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Premier Abdullah Badawi has vetoed a call to allow other races to enrol in a university that only admits Muslim Malays and indigenous groups, a proposal which caused a furore and a student protest.

What de fck!?

What gives man ... Frankly, I'm a little ashamed as I'm a Malay myself although, I'm a Singaporean. I have a Singapore mom and my dad originally from Melaka, Malaysia.

I understand that the Malays there want to protect the Bumiputra's right. But, I think it's counter-productive. Why won't they open up the University for all Malaysians?

Malaysia, should open up. In this age of globalization and opening up to foreign markets. How are the Malaysians going to improve themselves and compete with the rest of the world?

The other day, I read that even the Malaysian soccer league are going to kick out the foreigners and instead the reason given that to give the local more chances of playing. Of course, some are saying it's because of money problem. Well, that could be one of the reason but really, we need foreigners to improve our own standard of football. Every soccer league in the world has them. Why can't the Malaysian League?

Back to the problem of not accepting non-Malay, non-Muslims into the University. I mean, how are they going to improve inter-racial harmony if they create this kind of segregation. I remember a verse in the Al-Quran that states that God creates man with different cultures so that they may learn about each other. Aren't they going against God wishes this way?

There's even protest by their own students. Ha! I'm just wondering what their reason could be. Are they the student themselves afraid of competition? Of losing out to deserves non-Muslims and Malays? Are they that stupid? What kind of things do they teach in this University anyway, so much so that they're afraid in losing out.

All, I know is that, only those who deserves it are able to go to Universities. I know, I'm not intellectually competent to be accepted into them. I wonder, if I was a Malay in Malaysia, can I buy my way into them. Makes, one wonder.

Anyway, click here to read more on the news update. Kind of get you thinking about the future of Malays in that country.

Happy Birthday to me!

Happy birthday to meee ..happy birthday to meee ..happy birthday to meee meeeeeee ! Happy birthday to meeeeee !!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee .... why de heck i'm so happy about? I'm just a step closer to my grave ... haha ..

Well, well. 36 years of ups and down. Yeah, never thought, I'll still be alive right now. So much had and is happening right now. Not, just my world but the world around me. Such is life. It ain't over till it's over. So, I received a birthday card from one of my friend enjoying himself in London. I wonder if he's reading my blog right now. Anyway, he told me soon I'll be 40 so like they say 40 is the age that could truly change your life. And, it's up to you where your direction would be for maybe the next 25 years or so.

It makes me think. The more I think about it, the more I'm sure that there's nothing really for me to change the way I am. Cause, I've been true to myself all through this years. I might have change a bit but that's kind of normal. Everyone, change through the years. Maybe, a little more experience and more down to earth. Because, we have seen the world. We know what the world can do to a man. It hasn't really change. I haven't really change. I'm still the old me and in the next 4 years when I'll be turning 40, I'll still be the same. I won't change. I've got nothing to change. I like the way things are right now. In fact, this couple of years, things have been a little quiet. There's nothing really for me to look forward to and there's nowhere that I wanted to go to. So, I'm just hanging it there right now. Just, minding my own business.

Yeah, that's me. Although, been a bit kind of boring with life right now. But, as I say, the more I think about it. There's nothing really that surprises me anymore. Man, are the same since the day we started walking on this earth and they won't change. There still will be wars. People fighting each other for land, oil, power, money or whatever. That's their life. That's the kind of life they want to live in.

For me? I'm just a plain simple man. Just minding my own business. Just doing the mundane things everyday. Working to put food on the table. Yeah, I won't trade anything for this simple life. It's too precious for me. Freedom. Yeah, that's what I have right now. I don't really have anything to worry much.

Well, anyway, it's kind of late and I'm kind of sleepy. Tomorrow or rather today is a new day for me. Ha ha. Hope, things won't change. I just want to be and stay happy.

Peace .. out!

P.S. Nothin lust forever eh?

P.P.S Oh yeah, before I forget. My country is also celebrating it's national day today. haha! Have fun watching the fireworks today!

ExtremeTech.com - for the hardcore techie ..

Click here - To Learn How To Build A Gaming Computer For Under $1000 now!

Well, I'm not into all this build-your-own-pc and tweak stuff. Too lazy, no money and it's freaking too time consuming. I'll rather surf and read stuff on the Net. But, to those of you nerds/nerdettes or techie out there, ExtremeTech.com is a haven!

I first heard about the site via DL.tv video podcast. I like the show. It's a tech show about techie stuff and games review etc. You can go download the podcast via iTunes to your ipod. Check it out!

Another great show that I love watching is Crankygeeks.com video podcast. The show is hosted by John C. Dvorak with his partner in crime Sebastian Rupley. They usually have two guest which contributes to the show on general tech news, latest gadgets or whatever gets them cranky. Pretty, funny stuff. You can go to the website to download the latest shows or you can download it via iTunes of course!

Why does break up hurts?

Okay. I just got to get this out of my chest. A month ago, a friend gave me a woman mobile contact number. Heh, you know the drill right?

I just got discharged from the hospital after four days being warded for a spine slip disc. And, I've got 45 days of MC. So, what's a guy to do right?

So, through the days, I chat up with the woman via sms. Yeah, same ol same ol. She was friendly, able to take my crude jokes etc. It's been some time since I last chat or talk with any woman intimately. My friend actually given me a couple of numbers before but all the woman seems disinterested. I don't know why. I guess, it's hard to find a woman to talk to nowadays eh? Or maybe, it's me?

So, when this woman named "Linda" actually bothered to even 'entertained' me, I was kind of happy. Everyday, every minute, every hours, I check my phone if she had send me a message. Even, my nephews noticed it. And, they joked to me about it. The only problem is I wanted to meet her but she kept insisting that she's afraid I'll run away when I meet her. So, I didn't bother to try to meet her anymore after that. Even, though, I totally wanted to. I guess, if I wanted really to meet her, it wouldn't be a problem. It's just that, something stop me to 'further' the relationship. I think, I have this relationship self-distruct button inside of me. I always find a way to screw it up!

Anyway, the last few days, I finally decided to offer her phone number to one of my male colleague. At first, she didn't want me to. But, I lied saying that I've shown her pic to my colleauge and that he likes her. I tried, a second time and she finally gave in. Well, once, I've given her number, I decided not to contact her anymore. You know, I thought I didn't want to get in between those two as in a way, I was trying to 'run' away from her. I don't know why, I did that. Although, I've been happy chatting up with her but I guess I did it because, I wanted to pretend that I was helping my friend and her. Do I sound stupid to you? Ha!

So, to make the story short. They meet up and now they're seeing each other. Although, in a way, I was happy for them, but inside me just feels a little hurt. I don't know why. Finally, today. I send an sms asking her to delete my number from her contacts and told her that I'll be doing the same. I said that, I didn't want to get in between both of them and I felt that it was better that way. She asked, why couldn't we still be friends then? I replied, that I was afraid I'll get in between their relationship. I was freaking lying to her and myself. Inside me, in truth, I was a little hurt that she actually went out with him after the second day of chatting on the phone. Whereas, I didn't even get to hear her voice much else meet her. I know, it's my own freaking fault!

She send me the sad face icon :( but I didn't care. I just wanted out of the short 'relationship' if you can call it that. I was kind of exasperated that she actually went out with him even though at first she didn't want to. She said, she was only interested in me and not anybody else. But, then she agreed to meet him. What gives! How can I take it just like that? I thought she did it just to spite me. Well, who have the last laugh huh?

At work, during lunch break earlier. I usually sleep, as I've taken my brunch at the 10:00am tea break. I didn't manage to get a single wink! I was thinking the whole time how to tell it to her that I wanted her to delete my number and that we shouldn't stay in contact anymore. I wanted her totally out of my life. In a way, I was angry and I wanted to tell her off and all of that. But, in the end I just told her that maybe, we shouldn't contact each other anymore. I told her to delete my number and I was going to delete her's. So, that was that. But, why do I feel a little hurt inside? Why do I feel the sensation of the break up?

Even, though, I've only known her for almost 2 months. I haven't met the girl, haven't even hear her voice on the telephone. And, it still hurts? Why the hell-freaking-so!!??

I guess, it's been some time since I last felt a little connected to someone since my break up with my ex. Which, I actually still think of once in a while. I still think that I'm doing my former girlfriend an injustice and if in any way, I can get back with her. I'll do it. The thing is, even if we're back together would it be any better then the last time? I've had an on-and-off relationship with her a couple of time. I'm in a freaking dilemma.

Right now, in a way, I'm happy that I'm single but also, deep inside maybe I need someone. Heck. When, I did had a girlfriend, I wanted out and when I didn't have one? I wanted one!

Duh! This pain going to hurt, and last a couple of days, maybe weeks. The bad thing is that my colleague is going to be talking about her to me. Which, I didn't want. Cause, I just want to forget about her and move on. Maybe, find me another woman eh? Hurt again? You bet!

I guess that's part of my life right now. Maybe, I'll find someone special again like my ex. Maybe, I'll get back with my ex-gf together again. Or really maybe, I don't freaking care about all this relationship thing. It's just such a hassle! But, who knows right?

Nothing is carve in stone in this world.

Even if I don't? Duh! I'll still be happy being single. And, that's that.

So, have a nice weekend and maybe, I'll read up more news about the 3G iPhone to soothes the hurt. Yeah.. baby. Come to papa ...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Latest updates:
17th July. Well, I finally decided to ask my friend for her number again. And, we chat about what had happens. Right now, we only chat occasionally again. But, I think now it's a little easier for me to 'slowly' disappear rather then abruptly stop contacting her. Seems to be working and doesn't hurt as much. Also, I tried contacting my ex via email. So, far. No response. But, hey, at least I tried right? Although, I know, I can do better.

Latest updates II: 18th July. So guess what? I went to meet the girl finally after only chatting with her for almost 2 months. Well, she isn't that pretty in real life. She's okay I guess. A little too thin. And, she likes to wear the head scarf. I told her I preferred to see her let her hair go. I'm sure, she'll look better. But, anyway. At least I got to meet her and she's the first woman I met (consider as a date?) after 2 years breaking up with my long-time gf. A little awkward. I don't know how far this relationship going to go. But, we'll see. For now, I'm just going with the flow ..

Latest updates III: 20th July. Sigh! So, guess what again. Now, the girl decided to break up with me. Saying that I wasn't really serious about the relationship. Actually, she's right. Well, you can't really blame me. I just met her what 2 days ago? I guess it's my fault that I introduced her to my friend in the first place. I should have just keep it to myself and not pass her number around. She wasn't really happy about that in the first place. And, also, I can't move on, until I settled things with my ex. Got, to find a way to meet her and talk things through. Anyway, I'm supposed to be over about woman and now, I'm in this mess I created myself. Baahh ..relationship is not for me. I should just stick with being alone. Again. Life goes on .. I guess. I think this is going to be my last updates for this post. Any comment?
