iPhone Developer program - Create iPhone & iPad games app!

iPhone Developer Program - Cocoa Touch Programming!

Hi guys,

Read up this latest article on Forbes - Apple App Store Analysis: Here’s The Difference Between The iPad And The iPhone. Click here for the main article.

Once, you finish reading it, right at the bottom of the page will be links to related post on Apple's products the iPhone, iTouch, iPad etc.

If you've read the article you will see how popular the iPhone and iPad are right now. And, I haven't even mention the iTouch or mac desktops and laptops. If you're an investors then buy Apple stocks. No, I'm not a financial advisor. I'm just looking at Apples products and their loyal customer base as a whole right now and it's certainly looking rosy. Apple is cooking something right now and every year they are updating and producing new products line. Bumpy, harvest ahead in the New Year!

That's why, I'm also encouraging you guys to visit Matt's website if you're interested in publishing your own games, app or learn cocoa touch programming etc. Matt's got his own indy company set-up and been publishing and teaching about iphone sdk development on seminars all over U.S.

Now, he has his own iPhone Developer program online tutorial course set-up for those interested to take up iPhone developer training.

You do need some level of programming and have to signup to Apples agreement package. But, other then that it's all up to you. It's an online tutorial course and everything set-up for you to learn everything about creating app and games. Your games could be on iPhone, iPad, iTouch and even on Mac desktop and laptops!

There are many popular games right now at the app store created by indy company and some programmer actually quit their day job after earning US$1000s on their single apps alone!

Heck, I've even 'donate' my face as a zombie on one of those earlier iPhone FPS games!

I think it's called zombie mangled or something. I've post about it before. Just, search for the article on my blog search. LoL!

Okay, I've saved you the trouble. I found it here. A little ugly though. Nice, for zombies!

For more info on Matt's iPhone developer program, visit his site.

Well, it's 31st Dec here and the time is 3:22 am. Soon, it'll be 2011. I certainly, hope for an eventful coming year. Maybe, it's gonna be the same. Whose, looking for a change?

Anyway, have a great day and a Happy New Year 2011!

Oh yeah, read my earlier post about UFO coming in 2012!

Hi guys,

I'm not a developer, programmer or anything like that. Although, I'm interested in anything tech, but, I guess, I'm not smart enough to become a software programmer. I wish, I was though. I love games and thought of learning creating my own games. But, it's not easy as it looks. You, can hire somebody to create the kind of games you want, that's if you're an investor with loads of money!

In any case, creating games or apps for the iPhone, iPad, iTouch is all the rage now. I've heard of kids creating games for the popular iPhone!

That's why I'm posting about it today.

A lot of Software Developers are leaving their cubes behind to sell their own apps!

If you're a software developer bored of working 9-5 and you think you have what it takes to publish your own iOS apps for the iPhone and iPad?

If, you ever thought of joining an iphone developer training program and learn iphone app development tutorial. Interested,  in iphone sdk development, iPhone development online course?

He develop iPhone apps full-time for his own indy app business. He have been at it since the App Store launched in July 2008 and it has been amazing!

Working at home and the coffee-shop on his own software is really exciting to him. When he programmed in his cube two years ago he had 20 users tops. Today, almost 40,871 people have used his apps!

The other thing he does is teach iOS Development.

Soon after his apps were published he was invited to travel to cities like Washington, Philadelphia, Toronto and Seattle to teach iOS development. These are intense three day sessions that cost $1,599 + to attend. This experience taught him a ton of lessons about the best way to learn how to develop for iOS.

So, now, he has an online iPhone development online course for those interested in an easy set-up. If you're interested to learn about iphone sdk development, how to develop iphone apps or how to develop ipad apps then take a look at what his iphone developer training program online course is all about.

Please read some of the technical details you need before signing up for his online iphone developer training course.

Technical Details

This eCourse is meant to be used by registered Apple iOS developers (you can sign up on the Apple website). Some of the technology discussed on the eCourse may be considered confidential so you must agree to the conditions that you agreed to follow when you signed up with Apple.

Requirements

To use the website you must have Safari or Google Chrome installed. Both of these browsers are free and you may use other browsers but if you choose to do this you will need to make some adjustments when viewing your videos.

To develop iOS apps you must use a Mac with a version of XCode installed. The version of XCode used in the demos is Developer Preview version 4 and the best thing to do is install this version of XCode on to your Mac. You cannot use Windows or Linux to develop iOS apps.

The content assumes that you have a background in programming at some level. Preferably an object-oriented programming like C# or Java is what you know. But, if you can do simple things like make webpages and use JavaScript and you are generally technically minded then you should be able to learn enough about programming in our Objective-C lesson to move on.

Apple support and review staff Incompetence

Note: Apparently, some developers are having problem on getting their games approved to be included to the iTunes store. Here's a letter from one of them.

To know more about Zombie Mangle visit TouchArcade Forum.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I'm Perry Hart, the sole developer at PHARTGAMES.

It's apparent that Apple's systems for reviewing iPhone applications and supporting developers is inadequate and down right amateur.

There has been quite a large amount of hype about my new app ZombieMangle, a first person shooter. Alot of people want to play it after seeing the videos on youtube and especially after the massive disappointment of Zombie Mansion and Cube.

I submitted Zombie Mangle over a week ago now, Which was what i though would be a perfect time to release just before christmas. However, A few days after submission apple sends me an email stating that they require  "Unexpected Additional Time For Review" with no reason whatsoever for the delay. So I do a search for any other developers who have received this email, and it appears there's ALOT of them.

What this email basically means is that your application has joined a queue which never gets looked at and your app wont be approved, or rejected depending on apples discression for months. One developer has been on the queue for three months, and received absolutely no information about what was wrong.

The email address to get help about app reviews, as stated by apple is devprograms@apple.com. Developers can send all the emails they like to this address, they just get ignored.

Developers can call phone support however the people on the other end of the line can barely speak english, and are unable to help with anything. They say they cannot contact the review staff to one developer, to others they say they have sent an email asking for information, others they say they will call back (with no call back). Some developers are told that their application has received an "Escalated Priority" all of which seems like absolute rubbish as they still get no result after months of waiting.

One fellow developer has called numerous times trying to get a name changed on their tax information. They get told the issue has been Escalated however are still waiting months afterward for a simple name change. Apple are even in violation of their contract as they haven't been paid for some regions, even after the 45 days past the end of the month as stated in the iphone developer contract. But this is a seperate issue.

So, with no indication from apple what the issue is with ZombieMangle I figure i'll be proactive and change the game to remove the blood as it may be too extreme, change the effects to green instead of red, change the  zombies into aliens, change all the interface graphics containing red blood to green etc. I even changed the sheep to robot sheep incase they had some issue with aliens attacking sheep. Then I resubmitted under a different name Alien Mangle. In my submission I stated clearly in CAPS "IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS APP, DO NOT SEND ME AN UNEXPECTED ADDITIONAL TIME EMAIL, REJECT IT AND TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS"

Today I received the same canned email stating the requirement of additional time.

Calling out for help on the official forums has yielded nothing more than moderators canned replies stating email addresses and phone numbers.

I think it's time that all developers and potential developers know that they are working with amateurs.

Thanks,
Perry Hart.

iPhone finally in Singapore!

Check it out!

Finally! The much-coveted item is here in Singapore shores. After, waiting for seems like eons and eons!

But, err ..I don't think I'll be getting it..just yet. He he. It's just that, only Singtel is offering it right now. Although, looking at the price and data plans, looks pretty tempting to me. I've heard that Starhub will also be offering it's own iPhone package near the end of the year. So, if, I can wait, I'll wait!

Anyway, seems like there's still a lot of issues unresolved with the iPhone right now. Although, I'm just hoping that Singapore wouldn't be having the same technical problem like the other countries. But, still, nothing beats holding the damn thing in your own hand. I'll be checking out the Singtel shops starting this 25th Aug. I wonder, if there's going to be a long line like the other countries. Singaporean are known to be 'kiasu' (i don't really know how to explain the meaning in english) so maybe, people would like rush to be the first in line. Let just wait and see. Should be in the news by today or maybe starting tomorrow.

I think the first batch would be given to the people that sign-up to be in the list on the 22nd at exeter rd. And, starting monday, would be sold around the island storewide. It's going to be a mad rush. Me? I'll just wait for now. Like, I said. I'm tempted to buy it but I hope I can stop myself! Heeeellpppp !!!

Ha ha!

Anyway, since last Friday, I haven't been able to surf the Internet and watching my cable tv. As, suddenly, it went dead. At first, I just brush it off thinking that maybe Starhub were just doing some updating or upgrading or whatever. But, then by monday, I still can't access my Internet and I can't even watch my normal favorite shows. So, I called, the tech support and they ask me to check the cable, unscrewing and screwing the connection but to no evail. Finally, to make the story short they send somebody to come over my house to take a look. So, the guy came and after checking the connectivity he finally discovered that, somehow the main cable connections outside my house were kind of loose. Well, it was kind of wierd as I didn't really had any kind of connection problem before. So, I was kind of surprised that was the only reason. Anyway, finally, today, I can surf as per normal and finally get to blog about it right now.

In any case, I did manage to get connected using somebody wifi near my home with the Eee pc. I use it to surf and cleared my email. Hail! To the Eee pc! It saved me from complete boredness when it matters most. Ha! And, I was thinking of selling it before. Well, anyway, like I've said, time and time again. You never know what's going to happen in the next mins. So, live the life you want to live and don't be chained by circumtances!

I've also learned that we should NEVER say never!

In life, strange things happened. So, anything could be possible in this life. Never say, never. And, give it all you've got!

That's all for now. Cheers!
