iPhone finally in Singapore!

Finally! The much-coveted item is here in Singapore shores. After, waiting for seems like eons and eons!

But, err ..I don't think I'll be getting it..just yet. He he. It's just that, only Singtel is offering it right now. Although, looking at the price and data plans, looks pretty tempting to me. I've heard that Starhub will also be offering it's own iPhone package near the end of the year. So, if, I can wait, I'll wait!

Anyway, seems like there's still a lot of issues unresolved with the iPhone right now. Although, I'm just hoping that Singapore wouldn't be having the same technical problem like the other countries. But, still, nothing beats holding the damn thing in your own hand. I'll be checking out the Singtel shops starting this 25th Aug. I wonder, if there's going to be a long line like the other countries. Singaporean are known to be 'kiasu' (i don't really know how to explain the meaning in english) so maybe, people would like rush to be the first in line. Let just wait and see. Should be in the news by today or maybe starting tomorrow.

I think the first batch would be given to the people that sign-up to be in the list on the 22nd at exeter rd. And, starting monday, would be sold around the island storewide. It's going to be a mad rush. Me? I'll just wait for now. Like, I said. I'm tempted to buy it but I hope I can stop myself! Heeeellpppp !!!

Anyway, since last Friday, I haven't been able to surf the Internet and watching my cable tv. As, suddenly, it went dead. At first, I just brush it off thinking that maybe Starhub were just doing some updating or upgrading or whatever. But, then by monday, I still can't access my Internet and I can't even watch my normal favorite shows. So, I called, the tech support and they ask me to check the cable, unscrewing and screwing the connection but to no evail. Finally, to make the story short they send somebody to come over my house to take a look. So, the guy came and after checking the connectivity he finally discovered that, somehow the main cable connections outside my house were kind of loose. Well, it was kind of wierd as I didn't really had any kind of connection problem before. So, I was kind of surprised that was the only reason. Anyway, finally, today, I can surf as per normal and finally get to blog about it right now.

In any case, I did manage to get connected using somebody wifi near my home with the Eee pc. I use it to surf and cleared my email. Hail! To the Eee pc! It saved me from complete boredness when it matters most. Ha! And, I was thinking of selling it before. Well, anyway, like I've said, time and time again. You never know what's going to happen in the next mins. So, live the life you want to live and don't be chained by circumtances!

I've also learned that we should NEVER say never!

In life, strange things happened. So, anything could be possible in this life. Never say, never. And, give it all you've got!

iPhone 3G on sale tomorrow!

Yay! iPhone 3G will be on sale starting tomorrow on 11th July!

Okay, Singapore isn't among the lucky few countries that's got the opportunity to sell it en-mass. But, it'll be sooner rather then later. News, is that Singtel will be selling it in September. There's no exact date announced but you can actually, already pre-order it online via their site.

I'm still thinking if I want to do that. I'm also wondering should I get the 8Gb or the 16Gb version of the iPhone?

If you know Apple, I'm pretty sure they'll keep updating and improving the iPhone and rolling it out for sale almost every year!

So, since the 8Gb version is a little cheaper, you can buy it and if and when the new version comes out, you'll have no qualm to trade in for a new one. I guess, you can do that with a 16Gb iPhone too. But, the thing is that, I like to install a whole lot of stuff in it. I like to surf up and learn what I can do with the iPhone. I like to put in apps, games, music, videos, podcast etc. That's why I'm wondering if getting a 16Gb version is the best options. Although, if I have a lot of stuff in it, and I had paid for it, I don't think I'll want to just trade in the iPhone and lose all the stuff that I had collected. But, then again. If the next-gen iPhone offers better speed, space or whatever Apple planning to upgrade. Why not right?

The thing with all this tech gadget is that they don't really last long. Maybe, a couple of years. Just look at the Pcs and laptops that I've (you've) had through the years. It all died on me when I freaking least expected it to!

If I had saved up all those money, heck, I would have enough savings in my bank account right now to enjoy a two weeks vacation in Langkawi! LoL!

Well, I can't wait to get my grubby hands on it. I'll definitely blog about it here. Heh!

Anyway, these few days, I've been busy downloading stuff for my ipod. Yeah, the 'old' 5th gen video ipod. It's still working fine for me and I bring it to work everyday. Now, I've manage to install games into it and I'm freaking happy about it. The game is so much fun. Now, I can listen to my fav musics and also play games. Hurray!

Okay, the games isn't as flashy and hardcore like the FPS for my xbox. But, the puzzle games is interesting and quite addictive. You can play while on the bus, during lunch breaks or any free time you have. You can check out the games via iTunes or look it up via Yahoo! or Google.

Right. By the way, I realized today that Singapore is already on the iTunes accepted list. But, all the apps, games etc. are only for iPhone and iTouch. Yeah, I know. I thought, I could buy music and games for my ipod but they left it out. I don't freakin no why. You might want to ask Steve Jobs about that.

3G iPhone finally here!!

Playing games on the iPhone?

So, yesterday, Steve Jobs finally announced the 3G iPhone. All the rumors were true. Now, it's more cooler and can do more stuff. Although, they still say you can't take videos or even mms. What gives? Isn't this the basic essentials that we all already expected on a 3G phone? I thought, you can at least video chat on the iPhone by now. But, who knows, that could be incorparated in 3rd or 4th generation of iPhones.

But still, if even if you offer me the 1st generation iPhone, I would like snap it up in an instant. Because, it's sooooOOoo cooool!

Ha ha. Anyway, here's a video of some games which you'll be able to play on the iPhone. It's way cool. You play by tapping or even tilt the iPhone left and right as if you're driving. Wii? Check it out, you can almost do the same on the iPhone and best of all you can play it anywhere!

Boy! Can't wait for it to reach Singapore. Though, it'll only be available via Singtel. What de heck?

I'm contracted to Starhub and I prefer buying it through them. But, I don't know. I don't know how long I'll be patient to get my hand on the iPhone. Ha ha. As it is, in the U.S. they'll only be sold in July 11. Apple really knows how to make people wait and I think people will be scrambling for it by then. What's more, the price is far more cheaper then the 1st gen. Now, it's only USD$199 for the 8GB and USD$299 for the 16GB.

I think, I'll get the 8GB version. It'll be around SGD$300+ range and maybe when the 3rd or 4th gen iPhone came out, it'll be even better and I can get a better one. He he. I might just give my old iPhone to one of my nephews. Let, them play with it and show off to their friends. But, I think, since it's a little cheaper, every kids in Singapore would want it. Hey, the kids nowadays already have theirs N73, N95 or whatever. So, their parents won't have second thought in buying this $300 or $600+ iPhone.

Anyway, can't wait!
