I'm really having fun playing games on my Nintendo Switch lite with a mouse and keyboard. All you need is a good converter. And, I don't even have to remap any keyboard keys. Just plugin and play. It's that easy. Super cool!

You'll need to read the manual to see what is the original keyboard keys mapping. It's generally only for a one-hand keyboard. That's what I discover while playing the games. Even if you use a full keyboard, the key mapping follows a normal controller.



You can definitely remap the keys to your preferences. But, generally, like I said, you follow the controller triggers and buttons. Not sure about other types of the converter but for mine, I'll need to press F11+F12 and then press the controller joycon down button and then chose the keyboard keys.

Personally, I prefer adapting to the original keys instead of changing them. It's pretty standard. The usual WASD for movement, Spacebar is B buttons while ctrl is A. The Q and E are set for the left and right buttons of a controller. For shooter games, you can use the mouse for trigger and scope.

When I was playing Crysis Remastered, there weren't any lags. Everything was smooth as if I'm playing on a pc or gaming console. The only problem for me is my bad eyesight. Since you can't dock a Switch lite to the Tv or monitor. 

For portability, the Nintendo Switch lite is the best gaming console. It's rather small and comes with a controller. In fact, before games like Crysis comes to the Switch, nobody would have thought you can play triple-A games on a small 7-inch screen, much less a 5.5 inch.

Last night, I test more games to play with my mouse and keyboard and most of them played well. It's definitely made for playing shooter games. The only RPG game that I've tried is Torchlight III. There's no pointer and mostly you use the keyboard to play.

I'm hoping more triple-A games will come to the Nintendo Switch. Yes, there are already top games like Doom, Skyrim, and Witcher, etc. But, my favorite racing games like Dirt and Call of Duty are still not available. I read that the top guys not interested to bring COD to the switch. Pretty arrogant!

Of course, the converter is not just for the Nintendo Switch. They stated that you can also use it with other gaming consoles like the Xbox or PlayStation. Currently, I'm not sure if there's any that support the latest Xbox Series X and Playstation 5.

The other day, some kid asked me which have better graphics, the original Nintendo Switch or the Switch lite. They actually have the same CPU and GPU. But, because the Switch lite has a smaller screen, images seem a little sharper.

Well, if you guys interested in how good the graphics are, you can watch my Crysis Remastered gameplay above or here. You definitely will be in awe. Imagine, being able to play Crysis on a handheld gaming console. Who would have thought?

I let my nephew try out the game on my switch lite because he's thinking of getting one. He cited that the Switch lite is definitely much smaller and portable than the original Nintendo Switch. But, I remind him, he won't be able to dock it and play two players with his siblings.

If only, you can dock the Switch lite and play on a Tv or monitor. It would have been the perfect portable gaming console. In spite of that, I really loved my Switch lite and I'm loving being able to play top games on it, on the go. Awesome!

I decided to get myself a mouse and keyboard converter for my Nintendo Switch lite. I look around and found one from DOBE. Frankly, I wasn't really sure if it'll works. I've never used this type of converter before. It's also rather cheap, so why not?

Once I got it, I plug in my mouse and RK61 keyboard to the converter. As I'm using a Switch lite, I needed a USB C adapter which I already have. If you have a Nintendo Switch, you can just plug into the docking station USB port.

Just as a reminder, if you're getting the USB C adapter for the Nintendo Switch lite, makes sure you get one that also allows you to charge your lite at the same time. Some adapter doesn't do that. I tried using a USB C hub which I bought for my Macbook gold and it doesn't charge.

If your USB C adapter doesn't charge your Switch lite at the same time, you'll have to unplug and recharge all the time. Another thing is that it'll (adapter) get hot. Your Switch will get really hot too, so won't hurt to get a stand with a fan or just use your normal fan to cool it.

The mouse and keyboard converter is definitely great for playing a first-person shooter game. Yesterday, I tried playing Crysis Remastered and it works flawlessly. I didn't even have to remap the keys. You can watch the gameplay here.

One thing is that there's no mouse pointer. The mouse does work. While playing a pinball game, the mouse buttons left and right was the other way round. But, I can use the keyboard Q and E to play too. For playing an RPG game like Torchlight III, everything is played with just the keyboard.

I'm actually waiting for my one hand keyboard and mouse to arrives. I decided to get them to play with my Nintendo Switch lite. I like to try out new things. I've never used a one-hand keyboard before. It'll be cool to play my favorite switch games with them.

The irony is that, while playing Torchlight III and pinball, it seems, I only need half of the keyboard to play. A one-hand keyboard will also be more portable and light if ever I want to bring them along to play on the go.

The above pic is my current Nintendo Switch lite mouse and keyboard desktop setup with the converter. Now, I can play anyway I want. That's why I wish there'll be social media apps or some working and entertainment apps. Turning the Switch just like a computer.

The converter that I bought can also be used with other gaming consoles like the Xbox or ps4. I'm not sure if it'll work with the new consoles and the mobile phone. I might try using them on other devices. So, look out for my video uploads on my Youtube channel and Blog!

Mysterious monolith discovered deep in the desert

I'm not sure if you have seen the news about a monolith that's been found in the Utah desert. It's weird and at the same time funny. It's funny because it's done probably by some prankster. It's weird because what does the monolith suppose to represent?

2001: A Space Odyssey

If you have seen movies like the Space Odyssey, you'll know it looks something like the monolith in the movie. To be clear, they already check it, and it's definitely man-made. Everyone, have their own theory of what it's actually is.

To me, it looks like a metal cabinet. Also, could it be a chimney or ventilation? I've seen they check on top of it and there's no opening. Well, there goes my theory. Maybe, it's just supposed to be a symbol or an art piece. It does look a little artsy.



Arrival

Another movie, "The Arrival" is also linked to the monolith. Would be cool if aliens finally arrived on earth. They probably come at the wrong time though. Since it's the pandemic and all. Or is it the right time? When humans are in perils right now.

The Aliens leaders probably discussed among themselves and say, "humans, are in danger of being extinct. Although it's their own fault for their own demise, they're too important to be extinct?". Lol. Well, you never know. 

Contagion (2011)

Here's something to think about. The 'reality' that we're in right now isn't really a reality. Do you think we humans are 'native' of this earth? Do you think, we're born just to slaves for others? Working 24hrs for paychecks? No, we're humans. We're not robots.

There's more to life than just blindly following what we are told to do. Although, there are certain rules that we must follow. Even animals have instincts of basic rules. That doesn't mean, we shouldn't think for ourselves.

Look up to the skies and tell me what you see? Possibilities. Look how vast the universe is. There's a reason we are here. There's a reason we are living. There's a reason for everything. Life is much more than you think!

Whoa! It's been over a decade and finally, I can play Crysis (Amazon) on a handheld gaming console. Crysis Remastered (Nintendo Switch) is now available for download on Nintendo digital store. It's been a long time coming. And, I'm loving it!

If you're like me, bought the game Crysis for PC and gaming console, you'll know back then, you'll need to have a good CPU and GPU to play them. I bought an Alienware gaming laptop just to be able to play triple-A games.

I bought the Alienware M14x gaming laptop just so I can play my favorite triple-A games on the go. I really wanted the M11x which is much smaller and 'portable'. But, by the time I had the money, a year has gone and they stop selling it.

As you can see, I've always been fascinated by the ability to play triple-A games on the go. Yeah, gaming on a big gaming monitor or Tv is great but technology really has to be advance and smaller before you can play games like Crysis on a smaller yet powerful device.

Frankly, when the Nintendo Switch first came out, I wasn't really impressed. But, when they announced that FIFA18 and Skyrim were coming, my nephew and I took notice. My nephew kept bugging me to get it because he was interested in playing FIFA18 on the go.

Yo! That was some big game to be able to play on a small portable gaming console. Everyone was wondering how good will it be on such a device. The next big game was DOOM. I had actually already bought the game via Steam. If I knew it will be coming, I'll rather buy the Switch version.

I actually just ordered myself a one-hand keyboard and mouse with an adapter for my Nintendo Switch. I'm not really sure if this will work, but that's basically what I do. I always like to try out tech that I can use to play my favorite games in various ways.

Would be really cool, if I can play games like Crysis on my Nintendo Switch with a mouse and keyboard. Some gamers like to play console games like they play a pc game. Of course, vice versa too. In fact, they'll play a mobile game if it has a controller or keyboard and mouse support.

Check out the beautiful scenery. This game is also a remastered version. The image is pretty sharp and beautiful even on a small 5.5-inch screen. In fact, it's noted because of the small screen size, image resolution is much better. Yes, the gameplay is as smooth as butter!

This makes me love my Nintendo Switch lite more!
