I got myself a new bike seat for my new mountain bike that I ordered last week. It hasn't arrived yet. But, I already bought some new parts that I will be changing. I love to customize my bike with parts that have better design and style. I don't really care for brands with generic boring designs.

The one that I bought was the last in stock. It will fit in nicely with the red color theme of my new bike. I don't have the big money to buy those expensive bikes. Though it's a budget bike, still looks cool and has full suspension, front and back.

I can't wait for my new mountain bike to arrive. At the same time, I feel kinda sad to sell my over-a-year Raleigh bike. It's a good budget bike but I needed to save cash and space. Guess, it's time for a change in 2024. I actually also bought myself a new Fixie bike. 

I'm beginning to love riding a fixie. I didn't think I could ride far on a single-speed bike but I did. Went up a couple of slopes with no problem. And, I have bad knees. I don't want to hurt my knees further, especially at my age now. I've fallen a couple of times and parts of my body still hurt a year later.

Cycling is fun and helps improve your health. I cycle to work every day and always dread having to cycle over a little slope before reaching my workplace. But, I think even though it's just a short distance it helps my overall fitness. To the point that I needed to rest my legs.

I'm already feeling some strains on my thigh. Once in a while, I'll feel a little sharp pain in my left knee. My right knee seems to be getting better. Riding a single-speed bike does put some stress on your knees too. As you're always cycling without stopping and when going up steep slopes.

Nowadays, there are many good bike seats much more bigger and comfortable. Pretty much depends on your preferences. For long-distance riders, having a good bike seat is important. Having more cushion or if you prefer thinner than you can always wear cycling shorts with pads. 

You don't want to wake up tomorrow after a long ride with a sore bum. Most experienced riders will know what I'm talking about. I'm not a pro cycling nor even an amateur. I'm just a leisure cyclist. I like to cycle to places with nice views so I can take nice pictures with my camera or mobile phone.

I'm a leisurely cyclist but I still need a good bike seat because it will get uncomfortable for long distances. That's why even with a good bike seat, I still wear cycling shorts with a pad. A pro cyclist who cycles long distances every day would have a better seat and cycling shorts.

You have to sort out yourself which type of bike seat you prefer. It doesn't matter if it's just a short distance away but if you're going to be cycling for hours you better get it right. With so many choices available in the market today. You definitely can find the right one for yourself.
