When you’re out shooting in unpredictable weather, protecting your gear is just as important as capturing the perfect shot. The Nikon Coolpix P950, with its powerful 83x optical zoom lens, is a dream for wildlife photographers, bird watchers, and travel enthusiasts. With a lens that long, finding the right waterproof DSLR camera rain cover becomes a must.

Whether you’re using a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens, a good rain cover for DSLR cameras keeps your setup safe from rain, snow, dust, and even accidental splashes. Let’s dive into why a camera rain cover is essential and what to look for if you own a Nikon Coolpix P950 or similar long-zoom cameras.

Why You Need a Waterproof Camera Rain Cover

Professional and enthusiast photographers often find themselves shooting outdoors, where weather conditions can change rapidly. A sudden downpour can not only ruin your photos but also damage your camera’s electronics and lens mechanisms.

  • Waterproof protection – Prevents moisture from seeping into delicate camera parts.

  • Dust and sand protection – Ideal for safaris, deserts, and windy coastal shoots.

  • Extended lens coverage – Essential for long zoom cameras like the Nikon P950 or P1000.

  • Affordable insurance – Much cheaper than repairing or replacing gear.

Best Rain Covers for DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras with Long Lenses

When choosing a camera rain cover, opt for one specifically designed for telephoto lenses and superzooms. The Nikon P950’s long zoom demands extra coverage compared to standard kit lenses.

Here are a few highly recommended options: (Open in a new tab.)

  1. Altura Photo Professional Rain Cover for DSLR & Mirrorless

    • Fits long telephoto lenses up to 18” (perfect for Nikon P950’s extended zoom).

    • Clear window for viewing your LCD screen.

    • Easy hand access for controls.

  2. Movo CRC300 Clear Rain Cover

    • Designed for cameras with large zoom lenses.

    • Transparent design so you can still see controls.

    • Lightweight and packable.

  3. Vortex Storm Jacket Rain Cover

    • Durable neoprene material.

    • Elastic drawstring for snug fit around lens hoods.

    • Trusted by outdoor and wildlife photographers.

Using a Rain Cover with Nikon Coolpix P950

Since the Nikon Coolpix P950 is not fully weather-sealed, a waterproof camera rain cover is highly recommended for outdoor shooting. Its superzoom lens extends far beyond the body, which means it’s more vulnerable to moisture.

Tips for using your P950 with a rain cover:

Final Thoughts

If you own a Nikon Coolpix P950 or any DSLR/mirrorless camera with a long lens, a waterproof rain cover is not optional—it’s essential. Protecting your camera ensures you never miss a shot, whether you’re capturing birds in the rainforest, a landscape in the mist, or street photography in the rain.

A small investment in a camera rain cover for DSLRs and mirrorless cameras will give you peace of mind and extend the life of your photography gear.

Celebrating My Birthday in JB: Thai Flavors, Sweaty Moments & Kodak FZ55 Fun

This year, I decided to make my birthday a little different. Instead of the usual stay-at-home celebration, I crossed the border to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, for a brunch adventure with my family. My nephew had been raving about a place called Kampung Carabao, a Thai-style restaurant famous for its rich flavors and spicy dishes.

Kampung Carabao: A Spicy Birthday Brunch

The moment we stepped in, the restaurant’s warm wooden décor and Thai-inspired atmosphere set the mood for a cozy brunch. The menu was loaded with classic Thai favorites—Tom Yum soups, green curries, and spicy stir-fries.

I’m not great with too hot spice, but I wanted to try it. Within minutes, I was sweating profusely. The heat wasn’t just from the Malaysian weather—it was from the food! Thankfully, I paired my meal with hot tea, and to my surprise, I didn’t have any stomach issues the next day. The tea really could be the secret weapon against spice overload.

Capturing the Day with the Kodak PIXPRO FZ55

Since it was a special day, I brought along my trusty Kodak PIXPRO FZ55. I’ve had bigger, more powerful cameras like my Nikon P950, Zfc, and Z8, but sometimes it’s fun to just carry something light and easy.

Kodak PIXPRO FZ55 Key Specs:

  • 16MP 1/2.3" CMOS sensor

  • 28mm wide-angle lens with 5× optical zoom

  • 2.7" LCD display

  • 1080p Full HD video recording

  • Slim, lightweight design under $200

  • Rechargeable Li-ion battery

  • Digital image stabilization

I kept it mostly in auto mode, but I tried some of the scene modes, and they worked surprisingly well. One thing I noticed: the camera has a stabilization option in the menu, but you still need to keep your hands very steady—especially when shooting video. For best results, recommend resting it on a stable platform.

You can watch a video from this trip on my YouTube channel.

Shopping and a Smooth Ride Home

After brunch, we headed to our usual shopping center. I treated myself to a simple messenger bag—a little birthday gift. Luckily, there was no traffic jam at Singapore customs, and we made it home by 8 PM.

To wrap up the day, I bought a small cake and had a quiet moment. It wasn’t a grand celebration, but it was filled with family, laughter, good food, and a chance to play with my camera.

Final Thoughts

The Kodak FZ55 might not match the power of my Nikons, but for a fun day out, it’s more than enough. It's really a great budget travel photography and videography camera. This trip reminded me that birthdays don’t have to be extravagant—sometimes, all you need is good company, delicious food, and a little gadget to capture the memories.

a Singapore Vlog | Family Lunch Seoul Garden | Kodak Pixpro FZ55 #kodakpixprofz55 #singapore

(All links will open up in a new tab.)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yesterday, I went out for a late lunch with my family at Seoul Garden HarbourFront branch. It was a rainy afternoon, but we reached our booking time. While the rest of the family went to the restaurant, my nephew and I went to park the car.

Parking spaces are always a problem in a shopping center, even during the holidays. We had to wait a while before finding a spot near the lift. Been a while since I last went to Harbour Front. We used to take ferries to Sentosa Island

We used to go to Sentosa to swim and picnics. I remember going there with my schoolmates to watch a rock concert. It's totally different now and they offer more for tourism. I haven't been to Sentosa since then. They have built part of it for the rich to live.

Singapore is a haven for the rich. It's not cheap to live in Sg. To live in sg, you need a job. Sound simple. That's why you have many foreigners working here. As a modern city, you need many workers to work and keep it running like a machine 24-7.

I've wanted to test the Kodak Pixpro FZ55 camera that I recently bought. I'm impressed. I was afraid of stability while taking pictures and videos. You can set the camera to anti-shakiness. You still have to keep your hands from moving all over the place.

Although there is still shakiness to the videos, it makes the videos edgy. I preferably set the mode to Auto. I like to concentrate on taking the pictures instead of dabbling with the settings. If you go out with people, they can be impatient when you're trying to use a camera to take that perfect picture.

People are so used to using their phones to quickly take photos that they forget the process. When I first got my Nikon Coolpix P950 camera and learned to use the camera, I started to enjoy taking pictures. I even started using the technique when using a mobile phone camera.

I began to notice things around me. I began to look at things from different angles and perspectives. I delve more into what I do with my camera and mobile phone camera. I like taking pictures of my food and posting them on Instagram and Facebook.

Yesterday, I didn't take photos of my outing with my phone but concentrated on using the FZ55. Because the size is small, I just keep it inside my pocket. When I wanted to take photos, I pulled it out of my pocket and clicked!

In fact, I mostly use it to take videos. You can watch the videos here or on my YouTube channel. For the price, the FZ55 is definitely a bargain. You can use it for basic everyday photography and videography. And, I love editing videos using the free Microsoft Clipchamp software.

I enjoyed my lunch and taking pictures and videos with the Kodak Pixpro FZ55!

rain rain go away come again another day | iPhone 13 #rain #rainsounds #rainyday

(All links will open up in a new tab.)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

The other day, I saw a guy on YouTube talking about using an iPhone as their main camera, instead of buying expensive cameras and lenses for photography and videography. I commented that I've been using several iterations of the iPhone to do that!

I've talked about it on my blog years ago. Since I couldn't afford a camera, using my iPhone was the next best thing. Sometimes, I'd even use my iPad. In fact, using the iPad is much better as the screen is much bigger for editing.

I discovered earlier that the iPhone camera is quite good. I use it mostly for my unboxing videos. I prefer bigger storage spaces. The most important thing was the free editing app available on the iPhone, the iMovie. I love the iMovie app.

Sure, there are many other good so-called 'free' apps. But, they sometimes come with watermarks and are worse now with the trial version. Which really sucks. They used to be totally free. I used to enjoy using the GoPro free app. Now, I don't use them.

I also have a Samsung Android phone. Sometimes, I use it for photography and videography. Now, you can use Google or Samsung free video editing software. They're good, too, and free. But, iMovie is still the main driver for me.

In the early days, my iPhone used to stop working in the middle of my editing like my computer constantly froze. I'd have to redo it again unless I had saved it. It was really exasperating. My computer wasn't the high-end type.

I didn't know it back then but if you want to do heavy video editing, you should get a high-end gaming PC or laptop. They usually offer the best CPU and GPU. The minimum is 16GB of Rams. I'm using my gaming PC right now. That is my main daily driver.

My PC seldom hangs when I use it for video editing. It has 16GB of RAM and has it for over 5 years. Think of upgrading to the latest available. I don't use it for video editing now as I'm running out of storage. Currently, I'm using my Apple Macbook Pro M1 Pro.

The Apple MacBook is good. But, it's damn expensive. I took a plunge as I wanted a good laptop for video editing. As always, it has the iMovie for video editing. That's one of the reasons I decided to get a Mac. I have the 16GB version but if I had the extra dough, I would have chosen with more rams.

The MacBook Pro laptop was useful when I brought it along on vacation. I edited my photos and videos when we returned to our Airbnb house. I didn't have to wait to return home. Check out these videos which I took using my Nikon Zfc and edited on my Mac.

I've been making videos for my YouTube channel for years. There are over 1000 videos. I wasn't into YouTube in the early days. I just upload random stuff. It was only later on that I began to do unboxing videos and learn about video editing etc.

Oh yes, the rain has finally stopped!

NIKON Z8 | CINEMATIC SHORT | LIFE IS RANDOM #nikonz8 #cinematic #lifeisrandom

(All links will open up in a new tab)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I'm loving my new Nikon Z8. I just made another 'Cinematic' video using the Z8. At first, I didn't want to say that it's cinematic but after a while, and watching it repeatedly, it is cinematic. Watch it and tell me what you think. I'm still learning to master the camera.

The more videos I make, the more I'll learn. If you see some noisy parts, I didn't realize it while filming. Later on, I discovered that recording in N-Log you still need to do some settings. I decided to include the videos as it would look kinda interesting.

Someone commented that my video did look interesting. Lol. He also asked me what lens I was using. I told him my primary lens was the 50-250mm Nikkor Z dx. It is my favorite lens as I can zoom between 50 to 250mm. I want to get the latest 28 to 400mm.

I love using a zoom lens. But, after making some videos, I want to try using prime lenses. My favorite is the 28mm. I also have a Viltrox 13mm and an AstrHori 50mm lens. Nikon has some new lenses that I'm interested in. If they're expensive, I'll look at other third parties.

As I've said, currently I'm using the 50-250mm lens. Now that I've done several videos, I should try a different range of lenses. See, which one will make a better video or which one I like. Using my Nikon Zfc with the 28mm makes me realize that 28mm is my favorite.

I discovered that the 28mm is best for close-up. Most of the videos I took were close-ups. When using the 50-250mm, I had to re-adjust my distance many times. Although, even when I can go nearer, I prefer zooming. Anyway, I feel like, I'm slowly learning to use my personal preferences and style.

The most important thing is that I'm enjoying the process. I'm learning to take videos with N-Log and using the latest video editing software, Davinci Resolve. Luckily, they have a free version. I might buy the full version, down the line.

I don't use Adobe or Lightroom since you have to pay monthly. I don't mind paying a one-time fee for a full version like the old days. Why should I pay a monthly payment for the same things? Unless I'm a pro and earning money, I might consider it.

I have finally got myself a camera cage and other accessories. It's mainly because of my budget. I would have bought a gimbal if I had the money. Also, it's better since, I'll be using a camera monitor. A gimbal would be a hassle with the camera fit on it, to bring around.

On a holiday, I usually take more photos than videos. If I use a gimbal, it'll be weird to do photography. Using a cage will be much better. And, if I want to take videos, I can see better with the monitor. That's my take anyway. I'll see how it goes on my next travel.

I took this picture using my Nikon Z8, 50-250mm lens. jpeg format edited in Nikon Nx studio. I like it. What do you think?

My new Mountain bike seat #mtb #mountainbike #bikeseat

Venzo Comfortable Bike Bicycle Saddle Seat - for MTB, Road, Exercise, Trekking, Folding, Hybrid & Cruiser Bikes - XC Saddle Seat

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I got myself a new bike seat for my new mountain bike that I ordered last week. It hasn't arrived yet. But, I already bought some new parts that I will be changing. I love to customize my bike with parts that have better design and style. I don't really care for brands with generic boring designs.

The one that I bought was the last in stock. It will fit in nicely with the red color theme of my new bike. I don't have the big money to buy those expensive bikes. Though it's a budget bike, still looks cool and has full suspension, front and back.

Venzo Comfortable Bike Bicycle Saddle Seat - for MTB, Road, Exercise, Trekking, Folding, Hybrid & Cruiser Bikes - XC Saddle Seat

I can't wait for my new mountain bike to arrive. At the same time, I feel kinda sad to sell my over-a-year Raleigh bike. It's a good budget bike but I needed to save cash and space. Guess, it's time for a change in 2024. I actually also bought myself a new Fixie bike

I'm beginning to love riding a fixie. I didn't think I could ride far on a single-speed bike but I did. Went up a couple of slopes with no problem. And, I have bad knees. I don't want to hurt my knees further, especially at my age now. I've fallen a couple of times and parts of my body still hurt a year later.

6KU Fixie Urban Track Bike

Cycling is fun and helps improve your health. I cycle to work every day and always dread having to cycle over a little slope before reaching my workplace. But, I think even though it's just a short distance it helps my overall fitness. To the point that I needed to rest my legs.

I'm already feeling some strains on my thigh. Once in a while, I'll feel a little sharp pain in my left knee. My right knee seems to be getting better. Riding a single-speed bike does put some stress on your knees too. As you're always cycling without stopping and when going up steep slopes.

TOSUOD Bike Seat Comfortable Bicycle Saddle for Women Men Wide Bicycle Seat Cushion Memory Foam Padded Soft Bike Seat Saddle Universal Fit for Peloton Exercise Stationary Bikes Indoor Outdoor Bikes

Nowadays, there are many good bike seats much more bigger and comfortable. Pretty much depends on your preferences. For long-distance riders, having a good bike seat is important. Having more cushion or if you prefer thinner than you can always wear cycling shorts with pads.

You don't want to wake up tomorrow after a long ride with a sore bum. Most experienced riders will know what I'm talking about. I'm not a pro cycling nor even an amateur. I'm just a leisure cyclist. I like to cycle to places with nice views so I can take nice pictures with my camera or mobile phone.

NEXTCOVER® Bike Seat with Memory Foam 2.0 and [Volume-Air] Suspension I Maximum Riding Comfort I Bike seat Cushion for Men & Women I Mountain Bike Saddle, Road Bike Seat, Bicycle Seat

I'm a leisurely cyclist but I still need a good bike seat because it will get uncomfortable for long distances. That's why even with a good bike seat, I still wear cycling shorts with a pad. A pro cyclist who cycles long distances every day would have a better seat and cycling shorts.

You have to sort out yourself which type of bike seat you prefer. It doesn't matter if it's just a short distance away but if you're going to be cycling for hours you better get it right. With so many choices available in the market today. You definitely can find the right one for yourself.

my nikon z fc 28mm se video sample - woodlands jetty #shorts

Nikon Z fc DX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body (Black) 1673 with 28mm F2.8 SE NIKKOR Z Special Edition Lens Bundle with Deco Gear Microphone + LED + Filter Kit + Backpack + Photography Accessories

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I'm really having fun with my new Nikon Z FC retro design-style camera. Yup, I can see people looking at the camera when I'm out and about taking pictures with it. I bought it with the 28mm se lens and it's pretty sharp. Comparing, it to my Nikon P950, I think there's a difference in style.

Well, maybe because the lenses are different. Whereas the P950 has an 83x optical zoom and 2000mm digital zoom. I love using the zooming lens. I practically use it for taking pictures of everything. Meanwhile, you're stuck with just 28mm and you're the one having to move to take the pictures.

Nikon Z fc DX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body (Black) 1673 with 28mm F2.8 SE NIKKOR Z Special Edition Lens Bundle with Deco Gear Microphone + LED + Filter Kit + Backpack + Photography Accessories

My first camera was the Nikon P950. I bought it because it could zoom to the moon. I also bought it at half the price as it was used as a demo. But, everything still looks like new. I still have it, and I'm still loving it. Now, I have a second camera the Nikon z fc and it's pretty much a different beast.

I finally get to go out and tried it out on a public holiday. The feeling is very much a different camera. Especially, with just the 28mm lens. I kept missing the zoom capability of the P950. But, it's a prime lens so I used it as it is and that's why I said the experience is much different.

NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 (SE) Lens

The Nikkor Z 28mm SE aka special edition autofocus lens is very sharp. The bokeh is nice and definitely good even if you can't zoom. There's a video where the guy said if there's only one lens he could have it's the 28mm. I'm still learning but one of the reasons I decided to get it with the camera.

The Nikkor Z 40mm SE for the z fc is said to be coming out the early next year 2023. I might be getting it. I'll have time to save up for it. I was thinking of getting the Viltrox 13mm lens with super wide-angle autofocus. I saw a video sample and it was a really sharp and wider shot.

VILTROX 13mm F1.4 f/1.4 Nikon z Mount Lens, Super Wide Angle Autofocus APS-C Lens for Nikon Z50 Z30 Z6II Z7II Z6 Z7

As a newbie in photography, I'm really excited and want to try practically every lens there is available for the Nikon z fc. I can't really get my hands on those expensive lenses though. As long as it's within my budget, I'll definitely get it. Especially, if it helps my photos and videos look better.

I've already got my hands on the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens. Still waiting for a good time to go out and test it. I basically bought it because I wanted the zoom capabilities. Just like my Nikon P950. Although, using zoom on the p950 is much faster, for me.

NIKON NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Ultra-Compact Long Telephoto Zoom Lens with Image Stabilization for Nikon Z Mirrorless Cameras

I haven't yet test fully the Nikkor Z Dx 50-250mm. So, I can't really comment on how good it is. I'm still waiting for a good view of the moon to see how good it is for taking moon pictures and videos. It's the rainy season and even my room now is getting dark as I type this.

I did a quick zoom test and it was pretty sharp. Can't find anything interesting far-off to zoom out from my house windows. Well, I'm not in a hurry anyway. It just started raining. I hope, it'll be sunny during the X'mas and New Year holidays. Planning to go to nature parks and use the 50-250mm lens.

Check out some of the pics I took with the Nikkor Z 28mm lens below:

Note* Last pic was edited and added on 22nd Jan 2023 to this post.

The weather is kinda a little cloudy and moody. Would have taken better pictures if the sky was brighter and bluer. Other than that, I can't stay for the sunset pics as I cycle all the way there and wanted to reach home before it gets dark. Anyway, might not be a good sunset with all the clouds blocking.

Finally! My new retro design Nikon z fc camera with 28mm lens unboxing

Nikon Z fc DX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body (Black) 1671 Bundle with Deco Gear with Deco Gear Microphone + LED Light + Backpack + Photo Video Software & Photography Accessories Kit

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Finally! Bought my second-ever digital mirrorless camera and I decided to get the Nikon Z fc. Simply because of its cool retro design with all the bells and whistles. I did think I should buy the z50 instead, but I already have a modern-looking camera, the Nikon Coolpix P950.

I'm not selling my P950, yet, because there's still so much I haven't learned from it. I also love the zooming capabilities and don't need to buy expensive, bigger lenses. Though, I might, for the Z fc. In any case, for a photography newbie like me, the 28mm should be enough for now.

Nikon Z fc DX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body (Black) 1671 Bundle with Deco Gear with Deco Gear Microphone + LED Light + Backpack + Photo Video Software & Photography Accessories Kit

My next target camera is the z7ii or who knows the z9. But, they're expensive and I'll need to get better photography skills. I'll say, they're pro-level cameras. Those who need it for work. If you're not making money taking photography I don't see why you'll want an expensive camera setup.

Okay, photography hobbyists might beg to defer. If you have the money then go for it. I would too. Lol. Anyway, for now, my new favorite camera is the z fc. I really love the design. It's fun to play around with the dials control. It's actually much faster than looking around at the LCD touch screen.

Nikon Z 6II FX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body Black

The z fc is basically a z50 with a retro-looking design. You basically want a z fc because of the looks and the manual dials control. They have the same sensor. If you're not into retro design, then get the z50. Never had a hands-on of the z50 so I can't comment much about it. Oh, it's also cheaper.

Those who have the z50 recommend it over the z fc. To me, I wanted to learn how to use manual control. I find the z fc to be a fun camera to play with. I think if you're a newbie to photography like me, this would be the perfect camera. Unless you prefer the modern look and usage.

Nikon Z 7II FX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body Black

I'm not saying you can't set the other cameras to manual control. It's just that the z fc with all the dials and buttons control makes you want just fiddle with them. I'm happy just looking at it. I even put a picture of it on both my Samsung s22+ and iPhone 13 home screen.

Currently, I've only taken a few test pictures of my Samsung s22+ with the 28mm lens. From what I've seen it's really sharp. I can zoom in to the words on my phone. Testing the ISO, aperture, exposure, etc. I'm really excited to go out cycling again soon and take pictures with my new z fc and 28mm lens.

Nikon Z 9 FX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body

I've only just pick-up cycling and photography. Yes, you can travel light and just bring your mobile phone to take quick pictures and post them on your social media. But, photography with a camera is very much a different process and experience.

My nephew keeps comparing the pictures of the iPhone and my camera without realizing that it's a totally different processor and even the lens capabilities are different. My P950, can zoom to ships or boats far out at sea and take good sharp pictures.

Check out some of the photos I've taken on my channel here.

You can also do a search on this blog as I've posted videos and links here.

My new Samsung Galaxy S22 plus Phantom white 256gb

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I bought the Samsung Galaxy S22 plus around a week ago and have been using it for work and play. Before that, I bought iPhone 13. My first iPhone since my last iPhone 8 several years ago. Yes, now I owned and have been using both of them at the same time.

Why just use one phone when you can use both with different OS and UI aka user interface!? Both of them have their cons and pro. For the Samsung android phone, I like just putting my most used app icons near the bottom side. While for the iPhone 13, I don't mind all the main apps covering the home screen.

SAMSUNG Galaxy S22 Ultra Cell Phone, Factory Unlocked Android Smartphone, 256GB, 8K Camera & Video, Brightest Display Screen, S Pen, Long Battery Life, Fast 4nm Processor, US Version, Burgundy

The Android OS is more flexible and you can install practically anything on it. While on the iPhone it's very rigid. You'll have to go through loops just to install the same app readily available in the Google play store. For example, I like using the app, "Termux" which is like a Linux terminal on your phone.

Termux is not available for the iPhone. Luckily, there's another app that is similar to it called, iSH. You can download it from the App store. Termux allows you to install python 2.7 and use it within the terminal. But, you can't update to the latest version.

I must admit, although I didn't like the iPhone notch, I find myself enjoying using the phone as a whole. Maybe, I haven't owned an iPhone for a while but it certainly felt different. Later on, when I got my Samsung S22+ I felt the compelling urge to use it more than the iPhone.

I have given my Samsung Note 10+ to my mom. The S22+ doesn't have an S pen, like the Note 10+. So, I'll be missing it. It's fun to write or draw on your phone using an S-Pen. Though I have to admit, I seldom use it. One thing both the iPhone 13 and S22+ have is a good camera.

To me, both of the cameras are good. I like how easy and quickly it is to edit the pictures using the iPhone editor after you have taken the photo. You can of course do that too with the S22+. But, you need to reach out to the top while the iPhone is readily available below.

I mostly post my pictures on my Instagram and they'll also be posted on my Twitter and Facebook accounts. Normally, I'll use Instagram picture filters. But, I find if I use the iPhone or Samsung editor, I won't use the filters by Instagram.

I didn't have the budget, if not, I would have gone for both the Samsung & iPhone pros version. Simply because they have bigger screens and better camera capabilities. I like both the OS and user interface. Each has its own uniqueness.

Both of these phones have their own fan base. I'm pretty much in the middle. I like using anything and everything that is new in tech. I hope one day, Apple will finally get rid of the stupid notch and embrace full screen. Just like the Samsung android phone.
