My Photography with Astrhori 50mm lens and Nikon Zfc | Singapore Japanese Cemetery Park

(All links will open up in a new tab.)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've been re-using, and re-editing pictures and videos I took using my Nikon Coolpix P950 and Nikon Zfc with Microsoft ClipChamp video editing software. You can download it from the Microsoft Store. It's awesome. There are many free templates, background music, cool effects, etc.

You can also purchase more music, effects, and more. I'm impressed. Once, you're done, you can save your videos or immediately upload them to YouTube or other social media. You can save in several formats and ratios. It's easy to use even for novices.

I wasn't happy with some of the earlier videos I edited and uploaded. I could have done better. Luckily, I didn't delete them and kept them still on my hard disk. I kept the main files on my SD card. Once it's full, I just buy a new one. I trust them on my SD card more than other storage offers.

I used to store all my files in external storage devices but they all became faulty. Nowadays, they have the SSD type. I might try them in the future. Seems to last longer. My computer's internal SSD is still fine. My main hard disk died years ago.

The funny thing though is that I re-used my old laptop hard disk and it's still working great. I kept some of my old laptop hard disks as you never know. I've been wanting to upgrade my 100GB SSD as it's running out of space. This could be one of the reasons, I couldn't upgrade to Windows 11.

Anyway, I hope you guys watch my new re-edited video of my photography using the AstrHori 50mm lens with my Nikon Zfc. As I've said, I like the new Microsoft editing software the Clipchamp. One photo effect I keep choosing is the 35mm lens.

For some reason, the image looks much nicer to me when I use the 35mm lens effect. I'm even thinking of getting a prime 35mm lens. People say it makes your picture look much tighter. My favorite prime lens that I've been using is the SE 28mm which I got with my Zfc.

I want to purchase the new 28-400mm lens to go with my Nikon Z8. I have the 50-250mm z dx. From my own experience, the 28-400mm will be much preferred. I could reach further with the 400mm. I'm getting more experience with the more pictures and videos I took.

I'm thinking of getting the latest Fujifilm XM5. I've been checking some videos of it on YouTube and I like it. Though the retro design reminds me of my Zfc. What I'm really interested in is the film recipes that they offer on the camera itself.

You can choose the type of photo recipe you like before taking photos. It's available by rotating the dial. You can also take a 6k video. A 6k is more than enough. You can then download it to your phone and immediately upload it to your social media.

I'm kind of an impatient person and also I think, I suckz at editing photos and videos. That's why the XM5 seems made for me. It's not out yet. The news is that it'll be out mid of Nov. I'm not going to purchase it straight away. I'll get it when I get the chance.

What do you guys think?

NIKON Z8 | CINEMATIC SHORT | LIFE IS RANDOM #nikonz8 #cinematic #lifeisrandom

(All links will open up in a new tab)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I'm loving my new Nikon Z8. I just made another 'Cinematic' video using the Z8. At first, I didn't want to say that it's cinematic but after a while, and watching it repeatedly, it is cinematic. Watch it and tell me what you think. I'm still learning to master the camera.

The more videos I make, the more I'll learn. If you see some noisy parts, I didn't realize it while filming. Later on, I discovered that recording in N-Log you still need to do some settings. I decided to include the videos as it would look kinda interesting.

Someone commented that my video did look interesting. Lol. He also asked me what lens I was using. I told him my primary lens was the 50-250mm Nikkor Z dx. It is my favorite lens as I can zoom between 50 to 250mm. I want to get the latest 28 to 400mm.

I love using a zoom lens. But, after making some videos, I want to try using prime lenses. My favorite is the 28mm. I also have a Viltrox 13mm and an AstrHori 50mm lens. Nikon has some new lenses that I'm interested in. If they're expensive, I'll look at other third parties.

As I've said, currently I'm using the 50-250mm lens. Now that I've done several videos, I should try a different range of lenses. See, which one will make a better video or which one I like. Using my Nikon Zfc with the 28mm makes me realize that 28mm is my favorite.

I discovered that the 28mm is best for close-up. Most of the videos I took were close-ups. When using the 50-250mm, I had to re-adjust my distance many times. Although, even when I can go nearer, I prefer zooming. Anyway, I feel like, I'm slowly learning to use my personal preferences and style.

The most important thing is that I'm enjoying the process. I'm learning to take videos with N-Log and using the latest video editing software, Davinci Resolve. Luckily, they have a free version. I might buy the full version, down the line.

I don't use Adobe or Lightroom since you have to pay monthly. I don't mind paying a one-time fee for a full version like the old days. Why should I pay a monthly payment for the same things? Unless I'm a pro and earning money, I might consider it.

I have finally got myself a camera cage and other accessories. It's mainly because of my budget. I would have bought a gimbal if I had the money. Also, it's better since, I'll be using a camera monitor. A gimbal would be a hassle with the camera fit on it, to bring around.

On a holiday, I usually take more photos than videos. If I use a gimbal, it'll be weird to do photography. Using a cage will be much better. And, if I want to take videos, I can see better with the monitor. That's my take anyway. I'll see how it goes on my next travel.

I took this picture using my Nikon Z8, 50-250mm lens. jpeg format edited in Nikon Nx studio. I like it. What do you think?

AstrHori 50mm Manual Focus Lens Nikon z fc sample pictures - Japanese Cemetery Park

AstrHori 50mm F2.0 Large Aperture Full Frame Manual Prime Lens with Blur Effect & Filter Slot Compatible with Nikon Z-Mount Mirrorless Camera Z50,ZFC,Z5,Z6,Z6ⅡZ7,Z7Ⅱ,Z9,etc(Black)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yesterday, after work it didn't rain and it was a nice sunny afternoon. Last week, I checked the weather forecast and it was supposed to be a rainy week. But, still, I brought my Nikon z fc camera just in case. I'm glad I did. Turn out to be a nice day for photography.

I guess, my prayer was answered and I now have the chance to test my new AstrHori 50mm manual focus lens. I've read some reviews on it and there are pros and cons. For starters, I'm just a newbie photographer but personally, I think it's awesome!

AstrHori 50mm F2.0 Large Aperture Full Frame Manual Prime Lens with Blur Effect & Filter Slot Compatible with Nikon Z-Mount Mirrorless Camera Z50,ZFC,Z5,Z6,Z6ⅡZ7,Z7Ⅱ,Z9,etc(Black)

Of course, this is just my personal view and preferences. First, I love the manual focus and aperture ring control. In my last blog post, I said I preferred using an autofocus lens. Using the astrhori 50mm makes me change my mind. I got the hang of it really quickly.

I think it's more suitable if you're in a relaxed environment just taking your time to take a picture of flowers or any still interesting images. Take your time to manually focus on the subject, and also your ability to control the aperture ring.

AstrHori 14mm F4.5 Ultra Wide Angle APS-C Manual Lens Strong Anti-Distortion with Filter Slot Compatible with Nikon Z-Mount Mirrorless Camera Z50, ZFC(Silver)

The picture looks really sharp and I love the bokeh. The Japanese cemetery garden I went to is a great place to test the lens. I primarily save in jpeg because I'm lazy to do too much editing if used raw and also I want to save space on my 64GB sd card

I read somewhere it's advisable not to edit too much or you'll make it much worse. Kinda true, every time I try some editing I end up returning to the original value. At the same time, I learned in another video that exaggerating some of your pictures is also good. Lol.

SanDisk 64GB Extreme SDXC UHS-I Memory Card - C10, U3, V30, 4K, UHD, SD Card - SDSDXV2-064G-GNCIN

This time around though, I only edited a little bit trying to make it more natural. And, probably because of the astrhori lens, I didn't edit some of them as they already look fine to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I always felt that movie makers have a good eye for great pictures or videos.

I believe you need a good eye to make a good picture. A work of art that people will recognize and enjoy. I'm trying to learn how to see things differently. To make my own photography style and make my own work of art that people will appreciate.

This is probably why I simply love my Nikon z fc. The cool retro design and it's no slouch either. Add a good lens like the AstrHori 50mm, and it'll make for an interesting collection of pictures and videos for me. I really like some of the pictures I've taken yesterday. Check out the video!

Below are some of the sample pics that I like:

I've been to the Japanese cemetery park before and I can't remember if I've used my Nikon P950 to take photos or just used my Samsung phone. I think my Nikon z fc with the astrhori 50mm lens takes much sharper pictures. They also brought something different. Especially, the bokeh.

my new retro design nikon z fc 28mm se lens pictures and videos

Z fc DX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body w/NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR - Silver

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I could finally go out and test my new beautiful retro Nikon z fc with a 28mm se lens camera. I actually have the Astrhori 50mm but kinda lazy to use it also I thought it's best I concentrate on what the 28mm can do first. And, it's good, especially the ability to autofocus.

I can always try out the Astrhori 50mm later on. Though, right now I'm still waiting for my Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens. I think one of the reasons I was a little hesitant to use the Astrhori was its manual focus.

Z fc DX-Format Mirrorless Camera Body w/NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR - Silver

My first camera was the Nikon Coolpix P950. What I really like about it is the 83x optical zoom and 2000mm digital zoom. It's also autofocus. When I bought the z fc, I bought it together with the 28mm see which has autofocus too. Yesterday, when I need to autofocus fast it really helps.

I was trying to catch a moving train and if I had used the Astrhori, I don't think I'll be able to manual focus as fast. Still, I might be trying it out some other time. I'm thinking of revisiting a local Japanese cemetery park. They have some nice flowers growing there.

NIKON NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Ultra-Compact Long Telephoto Zoom Lens with Image Stabilization for Nikon Z Mirrorless Cameras

I'm really starting to have a hang of it. Really fun to go out and take photos using either my P950 or now my Z fc. I also have the GoPro Hero10 black. I like it too. Useful when I need to take some action videos while cycling. One of my friends was amazed by the video quality.

I took some photos with the hero10 and it's actually not that bad. Forget about the zooming quality though. You can watch my GoPro videos here and another one here. The stability is very good. I can't say much for the z fc. It's not as smooth as a GoPro.

GoPro HERO11 Black - Waterproof Action Camera with 5.3K60 Ultra HD Video, 27MP Photos, 1/1.9" Image Sensor, Live Streaming, Webcam, Stabilization

I should have waited for Hero11. It even has 27mp photos. If I was impressed by Hero10, the Hero11 is definitely another step up. For now, I'll stick with Hero10 as it's my first GoPro. I seldom use it but I always bring it along during my cycling and photography trips. Just in case.

I'm even thinking of getting the Fujifilm X-H2. Looks like a super good camera. But, there are rumors of an X-T5 with almost the same spec as the x-h2. I've never owned a Fujifilm camera but it sounds interesting. The X-T4 already has good reviews.

FUJIFILM X-T4 Systemkamera (26,1 Megapixel, X-Trans CMOS 4 Sensor, 7,6 cm (3 Zoll) Touch-LCD), schwarz

I'm feeling like a kid in a candy store. So many good cameras but no money. Lol. Well, I always say to myself that I have a whole lifetime to try them all out. I'm only just started learning photography and using both my Nikon P950 and Z FC. Both are really good cameras.

I'm also starting to learn which type I prefer. The zooming capabilities and the autofocus is really important to me. I heard that zooming lenses aren't as good as prime lenses. The good news is they're getting better. I hope the Nikon Nikkor Z Dx 50-250mm won't disappoint. Can't wait!

my new AstrHori Full frame 50mm F2.0 Manual prime lens for Nikon z fc z mount #astrhori #nikon #nikonzfc

My new AstrHori Full frame 50mm F2.0 Manual prime lens for Nikon z fc z mount #astrhori #nikon #nikonzfc

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I was looking for a budget(cheap) lens for my new Nikon Z fc and found one from AstrHori. It's a 50mm full-frame F2.0 prime lens and Z mount. Nicely fits on my ZFC. It's also within my budget. So, what the heck? It's fun to play and try out the new lenses.

Of course, I researched a 50mm lens. It's a manual and a third-party product for a Nikon camera. I'm a newbie in photography, and my first camera was the Nikon P950. I love that camera because of its zoom capabilities, and I still have it.

AstrHori 50mm F2.0 Full Frame Large Aperture Manual Focus Prime Lens with Blur Effect & Filter Slot Compatible with Nikon Z Mount Mirrorless Camera Z6 Z7 Z6II Z7II Zfc

I love my Nikon Zfc; it's a different beast altogether. It's a Retro design with all the bells and whistles, but a different camera altogether from my P950. For starters, I have the 28mm and now the 50mm lens. The Nikon 28mm autofocus prime lens is a special edition for the Zfc.

When I bought the Nikon P950, I didn't have to worry about getting a lens. It has an 83mm optical zoom and a 2000mm digital zoom. I bought it because I can use it to take pictures and videos of the moon. It's also great for normal digital photography.

AstrHori 50mm F2.0 Large Aperture Full Frame Manual Prime Lens with Blur Effect & Filter Slot Compatible with Nikon Z-Mount Mirrorless Camera Z50, ZFC, Z5, Z6, Z6ⅡZ7, Z7Ⅱ, Z9, etc(Grey)

I love the look and design of my new 50mm AstrHori lens. It's manual focus, though, and it's not like my Nikon 28mm S.E. with autofocus and CPU link to my camera. So, you have to manually adjust everything. Which I actually like. Well, how am I supposed to learn if everything is auto?

That's why I don't like it when people give low stars in their reviews of products. You bought it because of what it does, not what it can't do. If you want a product that does what you want, buy it. Yes, it's definitely going to be expensive!

AstrHori 85mm F2.8 Macro & Tilt & Medium Telephoto 3-in-1 Manual Full Frame Insect Jewel Portrait Lens for Nikon Z Mount Series Mirrorless Cameras Z5, Z6, Z6II, Z7, Z7II, Z9, Z50, ZFC, etc. (Black)

I bought the AstrHori 50mm manual prime lens because it's cheaper and within my budget. I might get a Nikon or other expensive and more capable lens. Heck, I've been watching videos of the latest Fuji X-H2/X-H2S camera. I like some of the sample videos shown on YouTube.

X-H2 is for videographers, and the X-H2s is more geared toward photographers. Or is it the other way around? Lol. A video or movie showcased by someone using the X-H2 is good. Which to choose because I love taking photos and videos.

Fujifilm X-H2 Mirrorless Digital Camera XF16-80mm Lens Kit - Black

I'm a total beginner in photography, and I just got my Nikon P950 and Nikon Z Fc. I would like to add to my collection of cameras and lenses. It's a new hobby of mine, albeit an expensive one. It's interesting, and I need to get more experience.

I also just started cycling, and because I like to cycle to parks, beaches, and nature reserves, I also started photography. Cycling and photography. Oh, I also have a YouTube channel and this blog. You have seen and read my blog, so don't forget to visit my channel too!
