I bought the Samsung Galaxy S22 plus around a week ago and have been using it for work and play. Before that, I bought iPhone 13. My first iPhone since my last iPhone 8 several years ago. Yes, now I owned and have been using both of them at the same time.

Why just use one phone when you can use both with different OS and UI aka user interface!? Both of them have their cons and pro. For the Samsung android phone, I like just putting my most used app icons near the bottom side. While for the iPhone 13, I don't mind all the main apps covering the home screen.

The Android OS is more flexible and you can install practically anything on it. While on the iPhone it's very rigid. You'll have to go through loops just to install the same app readily available in the Google play store. For example, I like using the app, "Termux" which is like a Linux terminal on your phone.

Termux is not available for the iPhone. Luckily, there's another app that is similar to it called, iSH. You can download it from the App store. Termux allows you to install python 2.7 and use it within the terminal. But, you can't update to the latest version.

I must admit, although I didn't like the iPhone notch, I find myself enjoying using the phone as a whole. Maybe, I haven't owned an iPhone for a while but it certainly felt different. Later on, when I got my Samsung S22+ I felt the compelling urge to use it more than the iPhone.

I have given my Samsung Note 10+ to my mom. The S22+ doesn't have an S pen, like the Note 10+. So, I'll be missing it. It's fun to write or draw on your phone using an S-Pen. Though I have to admit, I seldom use it. One thing both the iPhone 13 and S22+ have is a good camera.

To me, both of the cameras are good. I like how easy and quickly it is to edit the pictures using the iPhone editor after you have taken the photo. You can of course do that too with the S22+. But, you need to reach out to the top while the iPhone is readily available below.

I mostly post my pictures on my Instagram and they'll also be posted on my Twitter and Facebook accounts. Normally, I'll use Instagram picture filters. But, I find if I use the iPhone or Samsung editor, I won't use the filters by Instagram.

I didn't have the budget, if not, I would have gone for both the Samsung & iPhone pros version. Simply because they have bigger screens and better camera capabilities. I like both the OS and user interface. Each has its own uniqueness.

Both of these phones have their own fan base. I'm pretty much in the middle. I like using anything and everything that is new in tech. I hope one day, Apple will finally get rid of the stupid notch and embrace full screen. Just like the Samsung android phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G is finally here. Well, it's not available now, but you can pre-order on Amazon here. The price is also now a little cheaper than the first 2 Z Fold phones. So, if you've been waiting to get it, the time is pretty ripe, now.

The third iteration of the Z Fold 3 is much better with waterproofing and the add of the new S Pen especially for the Z Fold 3. We must really thank Samsung, because, they went all out to create such an interesting and wonderful product. Even companies like Apple don't take such big risks as Samsung did by building this type of foldable phone.

While companies like Apple playing the safe game by only giving incremental improvement to their products, Samsung came out with the Z Fold phones. Which no other company is brave enough to take the risk. And, the first Z Fold phone was a failure?

Samsung definitely didn't take it as a failure. In fact, they listen to their customer complaints and try to improve on them. Then came the  Z Fold 2. If I had the money, I would have instantly bought it. It was a vast improvement from the first.

As I've said before in my past blog post (read it here), I like the Z Fold phones because it's like a mini laptop when you open it halfway. You can open up and use the on-screen keyboard as if it's a laptop. I'm not sure how good the experience is but it's still interesting.

The best thing about it is that you can also use it as a 7-inch tablet. Open it up fully and enjoy the bigger screen. For playing games, watching youtube, or video editing. As a Youtuber, that bigger screen will be very useful to edit the pictures and videos for your youtube channel.

Sometimes, I'll use my Samsung Note 10+ to record videos or take pictures and upload them on my Youtube channel. Of course, it's quick and easy but even with a 6.8" screen size, it's still kinda small and difficult to edit. 

Having a 2 in 1 mobile device that opens up into a 7.6" tablet is such a nifty useful thing to have. Especially, when you want to travel light. I don't know why Samsung doesn't want to showcase any Youtuber or vlogger in their presentation.

Samsung also announced their new Z Flip 3 5G. My sis is thinking of getting the Z Fold 3 but I told her why not get the Z Flip 3 instead. It's a little smaller and cheaper. The Z Flip is basically for the fashion conscious. It also has all the bells and whistles of the Fold 3 only in a smaller package.

There are still people who prefer a smaller phone and not having to bring around a brick. Even Apple has its mini retro iPhone line. It's good that companies don't just offer one fit-it-all size mobile devices. It's been a while since we have had any kind of variety.

CES 2018, Razer showed their latest "Project, Linda". A laptop dock that can be used with their Razer Phone. Now, they have close their Razer Phone project and forget about project Linda. With all the big talks on joining the mobile market, they folded just after the release of the Razer Phone 2.

Disappointed is an understatement. I actually bought their CNY, Gold version Razer phone. I really hope Project Linda would be a reality. Finally, our phone has become as powerful as a laptop. And, we literally can use it as a laptop with Project Linda.

I was pretty pumped up when I got the Razer phone. It was actually a pretty good phone. Though, I should at least waited for the Razer Phone 2. I love the design, which is kinda Blackberry-ish. Pretty slim with a finger or thumbprint sensor on the right side.

For some reason, the touchscreen and front camera would always give me problems. I end up selling it off and got the Samsung S10+ instead. My last Samsung phone was the S3. I didn't really like it before because I hated Android back then. Now, I simply love them!

Now, my current phone is the Samsung Note 10+. I actually sold my S10+ and bought the Note 10+ because of the S Pen. The S Pen is much better now because you can also use it to take a selfie, control your screen with gestures, and of course for writing or drawing.

Okay, why exactly am I talking about the Samsung phone in this post about Razer, Project Linda? Because I'm hoping (praying) that Samsung or a third party will create something like Project Linda but for the Samsung phone.

I love Samsung Dex. I even bought a Dex Pad, so that I can connect my Samsung phone to a portable monitor and use it as a laptop or desktop. Nowadays, you can just connect with a USB C cable. But, I prefer a Dex pad because it comes with a cooling fan.

Samsung should make a lap dock for their mobile phone because their phone is getting more and more powerful. Especially, with their latest Exynos 2100 CPU and Mali G78 GPU for mobile gaming. With that kind of power, would be great be using it as an Android laptop with a keyboard and mouse.

I've tried using the phone as the main computer with Samsung dex and Dex pad but unless it's your main computer, it's kinda a hassle to take out your mouse and keyboard, set them up, and then keep it again once you're done. 

Having that experience, that's why an all-in-one lap dock will be very nifty. All you have to do is take out the lap dock, dock in your phone and start using it. The best thing is that you can charge it at the same time. Although, I feel there should be a cooling fan below the phone cause it can get really hot!

If ever Samsung wants to emulate Project Linda, they should name it Project Sarah. Get it? Sarah, S for Samsung? Anyway, there's actually a concept art of a Dexbook which I got from a site and make a video. You can check it out here. Would be cool if they decide to make it into a reality.

SmileBASIC 3ds on Samsung Note 10+ with Citra NDS emulator - works with S PEN!

I love playing around with SmileBASIC 4 (Nintendo eShop). It's a great software to learn to code on the go. It's available for the Nintendo Switch. You can dock your Switch like a desktop computer and code away. The good thing is that it has mouse & keyboard support.

I didn't really know that there was a Smilebasic NDS (Nintendo eShop) version until much later. I think because it's only released in Japan and Europe or Australia. Although I already have a Nintendo Switch or rather Switch lite version. Sometimes, I felt like it'll be cool if I can play it on my computer.

Yesterday, I decided to look into my collections of NDS Roms to see if I actually downloaded the software before. Nope. As usual, Google is your friend. So, I did a quick search and actually found a website that has the Smilebasic for NDS.

I thought the rom will automatically work with Retroarch. Apparently, you need to download the Citra NDS emulator. You also need to decrypt the software before able to play it. I'm not sure if I can share it, that's why I'm not linking directly. You can easily find more information via Google search.

I tried it out on my computer and was really excited to play an NDS version of smilebasic. The NDS version is actually a little different than the latest SmileBASIC 4. I've noticed it when I was searching around to learn how to code on my Switch lite.

It's a little funny to me that I learned to code on SmileBASIC 4 before on the NDS version. Which is more updated. But, in spite of that, I still managed to get used to the latter version. That's when I thought, wouldn't it be cool if I can play it on the go on my Samsung Note plus?

I did a quick search on the Google play store and found an Android version of the Citra NDS emulator. Download it, find my smilebasic 3ds file on my phone and load it. The software load pretty quickly without any problem. You can imagine how ecstatic I was that it actually works.

I was already wondering if I can use my Note 10+ S Pen with the smilebasic software. It'll be just like playing on my 3DS. If you're thinking of course it'll work, not really. There are some or mostly retro NDS games that don't work with an S Pen. I've tried it. Although, now I'll want to test it again.

Well, I spend the night playing with the smilebasic 3ds and also checking out what the Citra NDS emulator features are. I think it's still in beta mode. You can view the smilebasic horizontally or vertically. You can hide the on-screen controller inlay, resize it or change the layout. 

One thing though, unlike SmileBASIC4, you can't use it with a mouse and keyboard. I haven't tried out any other NDS games on it. Can't seem to find my MicroSD card location. I discovered just now that the emulator eats a lot of my resources. My device assistant pop up and advice me to kill it. 



Nintendo New 2DS XL - Black + Turquoise

I thought that I've closed the program after playing with it. Seems like as long as you don't close it, it'll run and eat up your phone resources without you knowing it. Maybe, that's why the smilebasic software suddenly went blank on me at one time.

I'm still not sure why the smilebasic 3ds won't open in Retroarch. The Citra emulator is available on the PC version but I can't find it on the android version. I also tried using a different NDS emulator but they don't work. Seems like it only works with Citra.

For now, I'm just happy that I can play around with smilebasic for 3ds on my Note 10+. It's also a plus that I can use my S Pen with it. Since I've played around with SmileBASIC4 on my Switch lite, I won't have a problem with the slight differences. If only there's a smilebasic for Android gaming!

Right now, if I weren't interested in the Samsung Folding phone, I might have wanted to upgrade to the S21. Especially, with their latest camera features. With 100x Zoom, can I use it for Moon-Watching? I won't have to buy a camera or a telescope.

I was actually hoping that Samsung would announce the Z Fold 3 at this CES 2021. With better camera specs. I wasn't really interested when they announce the first folding phone but the Z Fold 2 piqued my interest. It's also of course definitely better.

Again, as a Youtuber and blogger, the Z Fold 2 would have been perfect for me. Imagine after taking pictures and videos, I can open it up like a tablet and work on those videos. I can use my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Although, like my iPad, I seldom use a mouse.

Hopefully, the Samsung Z Fold 3 would be much lighter, slimmer, and cheaper. This would be perfect for mobile computing. You don't have to lug a tablet or a laptop anymore. Since all you need is your phone in your pocket.

There's a new Exynos 2100 which would be more powerful. So, if the Z Fold 3 comes with it. Whoa, what will happen? You'll be able to game, 5G, take higher quality pictures and videos. Do video editing on the spot, entertainment and so much more. Now, that's what I call mobile computing!

A Cheaper Samsung Z Fold 3 With Better Camera and An S Pen?

A cheaper Samsung Z Fold 3 with a better camera and an S Pen in 2021? Why not? First off, I've never owned a Z Fold 2, for obvious reason. It's pretty expensive. I can get an Asus ROG G14 gaming laptop with the kind of price it's selling now.

Granted, the Z Fold 2 is pretty unique and the technology is pretty advanced. The fact you can fold the screen is pretty amazing. Also, there are new apps that you can use specifically with the phone. You can use it as a normal phone, open it up, and voila, it becomes a tablet!

Right now, I'm looking at it from the point of view of a Youtuber and a Blogger. If you've been reading my post, you'll know, my main device for taking videos, editing, and even background music is my trusty old Apple iPad Pro 10.5. 

I used to use my iPhone which is pretty powerful. Because of the stupid notch on the latest iPhone, I decided to switch to Samsung. Also, the latest Samsung phone has Samsung Dex. Which turns your phone into a desktop computer with a desktop-user interface (UI).

The Z Fold 2 is pretty perfect for me as sometimes when I'm going out, I'll always use my Samsung phone to take pictures and videos. In fact, on my last holiday in Thailand, I used my then Samsung S10 plus. The only problem is, my favorite video editor, iMovie is not available for Android.

I look around and decided to use the Adobe app. Don't really like it as the user interface a little too clunky for me. Here's the video. I only discovered a better free video editor, Quik, later on. Editing on a phone can be tricky. Especially, with a smaller screen.

That's where the Z Fold 2 phone comes in. You can use it to take pictures or videos like you normally do and once you're back at the hotel or home, you can open the phone up for a bigger view in tablet mode and start editing. 

Also, I like the S Pen. It's pretty useful. I didn't think much about them until I got the Samsung Note 10+. I actually got the phone because of the S Pen's new features. Like for taking selfies, sending written messages, and of course for some gaming.

Get a Bluetooth keyboard and now, you have an android tablet with a desktop setup. These quick setups are great if you're going traveling and want to quickly edit and upload to your channel. I'm not sure if it's better when you open up the phone and use the Samsung Dex desktop mode.

Would be great to be able to switch between the normal tablet and desktop UI. I don't own a Samsung tablet but I think you can do that. I find using Samsung Dex is much better and cleaner than your usual phone UI. Unlike the iPhone, my main Samsung phone page is not cluttered with an app's icons.

If the Z Fold can be used in both the tablet mode and Samsung Dex mode when you open up the phone, it'll be an added bonus. So, you don't have to link to an external monitor or PC to use it. You can straight up choose which mode you want to work with.

I was monitoring the news about the latest virus outbreak. The story is about the doctor who sacrificed himself to save not just China but the world. A new, Novel virus that could infect from animal to people and then, from people to people.

It takes WHO a couple of months to declare a global pandemic. By that time, Italy has been hit hard with thousands of death daily. Germany, Britain, and some Latin America were trying to control the spread with lock-downs.

Meanwhile, in the U.S. you have an idiot that is the president of the United States of America, the most powerful country in the world denying the virus's existence. Because of his negligence and incompetence, the healthcare was basically overwhelmed and causes death to doctors and nurses.

Personally, I know there will always be a new unknown disease that would come. It's just a matter of when. A wise man has prophecized about it, medical experts have talked about it too. The way we are living right now, you don't need a degree. It's just common sense.

Even now, there are people that don't want to wear a mask. They don't agree with lockdowns because they want their 'freedom'. Well, you can have your freedom when you're dead. Just don't let others suffer because of your stupidity.



Nintendo Switch Lite - Zacian and Zamazenta Edition

It's all not doom and gloom though. Well, for me at least. In spite of the pandemic, I sold my Nintendo Switch and got the Zacian and Zamazenta edition Switch lite. I'm still loving it today, and of course, I made an unboxing video and blog about it. Watch it here!

I also bought the Razer Kraken headphones. Bought it specifically for my Switch lite. And, it sounds great. You can use the 7.1 surround sound though. You can if you use it with your pc. I mostly use it with my lite. The cool color and design too. Watch my unboxing here!

I also bought myself a new HP laptop with AMD Ryzen 7, RX Vega 10 mobile graphic cards. I really like the 15.6-inch screen and full keyboard with number pads. The fingerprint sensor works like a charm. The silver design is cool but difficult to open up if you want to replace anything.

What I really wanted was the latest Asus ROG Zephyrus G14  Ryzen 9, RTX 2060 gaming laptop. Besides the killer specs, it also has a cool anime matrix on the laptop screen cover. It seems difficult to find the anime matrix version. Also, it's freaking expensive.

Asus should create a G15 with a 15.6-inch screen. I also just realized there's no front camera. Hello, people are practically doing video calls because of the pandemic. And you take out the most important feature? A full keyboard with a number pad would be nice. And, also a fingerprint sensor.

Another video of mine that got a lot of views is about the 512GB MicroSD card I bought for my Nintendo Switch lite. There are people that bought it and having problems with heat and the system. I didn't have any problem with mine. Watch my video here.

Some asked why would anyone need such a bigger storage space? Lol. Umm, so I can download and play more games on the go? In fact, I'm already left with just 100GB. That's why I'm thinking of getting the 1TB card. But, I do worry if it'll overheat or whatever.

I was thinking of upgrading to the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 20 from my Note 10+ which I'm still using now. But the Z Fold 2 makes me think again. If only the Z Fold 2 comes with an S Pen. I love the S Pen. It even helps me customized my FPS shooter games in UI settings.

The Samsung Z Fold 2 would be my ultimate 2-in-1 tablet phone. Use it as a phone, open it up, and use it as a tablet. Use it with a mouse and keyboard, voila! Especially, when you can use it as a desktop with Samsung Dex. An advantage Samsung phone has over other rivals.

These are all the games and tech that I've been doing an unboxing and talking bout on Youtube Channel and Games & Tech blog throughout 2020. So, I've definitely been busy. Some people complain about not being able to go out and stressing at home, but not me. 

Okay, maybe because I'm single. Families that had to work at home with kids have to find a way to keep their children busy since schools had to close down. Some are jobless and many other problems. That's what the govt of each country has to cope with too.

One thing for sure, we're all in it together. If we do our part, it'll only help humankind survive. It's a time like this, we get to learn who our friends are and who the enemies are. Who we can depend on and what should we do so that it won't happen again.

I'll know what I'll still be doing in 2021. I'll still be doing unboxing videos and blogging. It's the only thing that makes me sane in 2020. Oh yeah, I'll also like to thanks those that support us by shopping on Amazon via our links. You're also helping keep the economy going!
