I've been wanting to buy a new Android Tv for a long time. Recently, I found out there's an offer for a new Samsung UHD 55-inch Tv together with a new cable subscriber. Finally, decided to re-contract and got me a brand new Tv at the same time.

The Samsung Tv finally arrived and they help me set it up. I did the cable management once I came back from work. Luckily, my niece had the night shift yesterday, so she was home to wait for the delivery guys to come. My mom told me she wanted to keep the old Tv.

I think at the moment, it's better to keep the old Tv just in case there's any problem with the new one. Also, my mom wants me to mount the old Tv in the kitchen. So that she can watch her favorite Tv shows while cooking. 

I already mount a small monitor in the kitchen. To me the tv is a little too big though. Anyway, I've put it aside till I make a decision what I'm going to do with it. My nephew might want it back. He can use it for multiple monitor setup.

The 55-inch size Tv is the biggest I've ever owned. Looking at it, probably the biggest I'll ever get for my house. Of course, everyone have their own preferences. Nowadays, people like to buy projector tv. You can basically pair it with anything and everything.

I have never tried the projector but decades ago, my ex-colleague used to swear by it. All you need is the projector and an empty wall. I don't haveI have an empty wall big enough for the projector. Projector Tv nowadays are much better in quality.

I like Samsung product and has been using them for years. Let just say, I feel save and comfortable using a known brand. Of course, not every product is perfect. I've heard and seen some of their products fail. Lucky for me, it hasn't happened to me, so far.

I've only had the Tv for two days and so far, I like it. I like the size, thin bezel and the color. There's a lot of settings you can play with. Currently, I've set the screen to movie mode. I might change it to just standard or dynamic later. The volume and channel control button has a little weird design.

The Samsung UHD AU7000 is an android Tv too with many apps available on Play store. I tried going to the internet and checking out youtube. The browser which I'm not sure if it's chrome, seems a little slow. It could be my internet even though new box and router as it's already slow to load anything.

I'm wondering if it's because I didn't take up 5G that they slowed the 4G I'm currently using. The internet seems zippy a few years ago but getting slower and slower as time goes by. In spite of that when watching movies or Tv shows everything looks big and sharper.

I'm still thinking if I should buy a soundbar but right now the sound from the Tv speaker will suffice.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G is finally here. Well, it's not available now, but you can pre-order on Amazon here. The price is also now a little cheaper than the first 2 Z Fold phones. So, if you've been waiting to get it, the time is pretty ripe, now.

The third iteration of the Z Fold 3 is much better with waterproofing and the add of the new S Pen especially for the Z Fold 3. We must really thank Samsung, because, they went all out to create such an interesting and wonderful product. Even companies like Apple don't take such big risks as Samsung did by building this type of foldable phone.

While companies like Apple playing the safe game by only giving incremental improvement to their products, Samsung came out with the Z Fold phones. Which no other company is brave enough to take the risk. And, the first Z Fold phone was a failure?

Samsung definitely didn't take it as a failure. In fact, they listen to their customer complaints and try to improve on them. Then came the  Z Fold 2. If I had the money, I would have instantly bought it. It was a vast improvement from the first.

As I've said before in my past blog post (read it here), I like the Z Fold phones because it's like a mini laptop when you open it halfway. You can open up and use the on-screen keyboard as if it's a laptop. I'm not sure how good the experience is but it's still interesting.

The best thing about it is that you can also use it as a 7-inch tablet. Open it up fully and enjoy the bigger screen. For playing games, watching youtube, or video editing. As a Youtuber, that bigger screen will be very useful to edit the pictures and videos for your youtube channel.

Sometimes, I'll use my Samsung Note 10+ to record videos or take pictures and upload them on my Youtube channel. Of course, it's quick and easy but even with a 6.8" screen size, it's still kinda small and difficult to edit. 

Having a 2 in 1 mobile device that opens up into a 7.6" tablet is such a nifty useful thing to have. Especially, when you want to travel light. I don't know why Samsung doesn't want to showcase any Youtuber or vlogger in their presentation.

Samsung also announced their new Z Flip 3 5G. My sis is thinking of getting the Z Fold 3 but I told her why not get the Z Flip 3 instead. It's a little smaller and cheaper. The Z Flip is basically for the fashion conscious. It also has all the bells and whistles of the Fold 3 only in a smaller package.

There are still people who prefer a smaller phone and not having to bring around a brick. Even Apple has its mini retro iPhone line. It's good that companies don't just offer one fit-it-all size mobile devices. It's been a while since we have had any kind of variety.

Lately, I've been playing with my 8-inch Android tablet again. Maybe, it's because I got a keyboard case for it last week. I've been wanting to get it for a while. Now, I'm using it as a laptop. An Android laptop. I think it's great for a simple basic task like watching youtube or checking and replying to emails.

I've been wondering why there isn't any huha about tablets anymore. Especially, an Android gaming tablet. I mean, a gaming tablet would have a much bigger screen than a 7-inch phablet. Granted, any bigger than a 7 inch would be kinda awkward to hold and game.

Some people actually think the Nintendo Switch screen is a little too big. That makes Nintendo create a much smaller screen Nintendo Switch lite. Well, maybe that's why I sold the 'big' Switch and got the Switch lite. It does have a slight difference in portability.

Actually, I don't really like Android games. Mostly because they don't have a controller or keyboard and mouse support. You can see for yourself on the Google Play store comments. Most gamers request controller support. I haven't seen anyone asking for keyboard and mouse support though.

If you've been reading my blog, you'll know I'm pretty much crazy about laptops. Especially, gaming laptops. Gaming laptops are so powerful, they can basically replace your desktop computer. Another thing I'm crazy about is the keyboard.

It's because of the keyboard that I got for my tablet that I begin to start using it again. Don't ask me why I'm so fascinated with a keyboard. Another thing is that I'm seeing a lot of new Android tablet that's getting a bump on their specs but still keeping the price down.

Frankly, if I have the money, I'll want to get myself the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. A little pricey than your low-end Android tablet. But, it has better cameras. Which is useful for making my youtube videos. I already have an iPad Pro 10.5 but sometimes, I'll need to use another backup device.

An iPad or a Tablet is pretty nifty because of its portability and flexibility. I can use it as a touchscreen tablet or add a keyboard and voila, turn it into a laptop. Also, I can put them on a tripod stand and take videos or pictures. Most of the time, they have better cameras than a laptop.

Yesterday, I finally decide to get a better tablet with the latest specs update. It comes with a keyboard bundle. The cool thing is that the keyboard includes a touchpad. That is something new I see in today's keyboard case. Of course, I'll be making an unboxing video, so look out for it on my channel.

I'm a little curious to try out the tablet if I can use it as a laptop. Meaning, I'll be opening up a lot of browser tabs, checking out social media at the same time like FB, Twitter, my blog, and watching youtube videos. It's a 10 inch with Android 10 OS, 5G, 8GB Ram, and 512GB Rom.

All that and it only cost around USD$160+. An affordable price for pretty good specs. That's why I said, I was curious about the real-world performance of this lap-tablet. I'll be trying out STEAM game streaming, Android games, and retro-gaming with Retroarch emulators.

If it passes all my personal usage testing, it might just replace my laptop. :)

I personally like the Samsung phone because it's got Samsung Dex. Although, I'm not sure if the phone version supports them. I also actually bought the Samsung Note 10+ because of the S Pen. It's one of the interesting things that comes with the phone. I used to own the Samsung S10+, the S Pen is one of the reasons that I switched to the Note series.

Guess what? Now, the Samsung S21 Ultra comes with an S Pen too. So, it's definitely enticing to get to the S series back. Also, they have definitely improved the cameras, and the ability to record various different versions of videos at the same time is pretty interesting for a Youtuber like me. You can also record in 8K. Wow, imagine that on a phone. Mobile computing technology is definitely getting more advance.

Now, transfer all that technology to the new Samsung Z Fold 3 and I'm sold! Hopefully, it'll be a little cheaper too. This is the kind of phone and technology that probably the pro will love. When I recommended my mom to get the Samsung Note 10+, it's definitely a jump from her Note 3. It's now faster, the battery lasts longer, better screens, and takes great pictures.

My mom uses it to play her favorite android games and take and send food pictures to me and my sister. What I'm trying to say is that technology has it's good and it's bad. Some people say it's bad to let kids play with technology when they're young. The problem is the younger they're used to technology the better they'll be at it. Tech is really the future of mankind.

Nowadays, people are already planning to colonize the Moon and Mars. They're not just talking about it. Technology has to definitely advance faster and we need people that are good at creating new and faster technology to help achieve those dreams. I'm still waiting for somebody to build a spaceship for space exploration. Will it be in my lifetime? Who knows.

What do all these have to do with the Samsung Galaxy S21? Well, you can see for yourself how important it is that we keep improving the technology cause, one day, they'll all be integrated into the world beyond in the future. Doesn't that sound exciting? Also, I'm not sure how good the zoom is but I hope it's good enough for moon watching. If not now, hopefully in the near future. :)

Yesterday, I posted about alternative dual-screen mobile phones to the Samsung Z Fold 2. The Z Fold 2 is pretty expensive. But, there is actually some dual-screen phone which is less expensive. Although, they aren't as fancy or have a better design.

One of the things I said is that there aren't any other companies that actually doing something like Samsung. A 2-in-1 mobile computing device. I kinda love that concept now. Using it as a phone and when you need a bigger view, you open it up and turn it into a tablet. Isn't that cool?

Today, I went to look up the LG Rollable and Oppo X 2021 concept phone. It's still a concept but that's something to look out for in the near future. Now, they have a touchscreen that can be rolled. That means you can use it as a normal phone and when you want a bigger screen, just tap and it rolled out to make the screen bigger.

Pretty cool concept. Although, I always worry if there's any kind of moving mechanism needed. They'll always have wear and tear. Unless they make it easier to replace. Would be kind of a hassle. Also, people normally just upgrade their phone rather than sending to the repair shop. Which can be expensive.

The rollable screen doesn't have the same crease problem as the Samsung folding phone. Since you don't fold it. You basically let the screen-roll out or roll in. How long can it last though? Will it get stuck at the side? Especially, when dust starting to creeps inside. Or follow the rolling screen?

The kind of problem that comes with the rollable screen phone will be up to the engineers to solve. Or, they'll have the same kind of first-gen phone farce as Samsung with their Z Fold. I kinda can't wait to try it out. Like I say, I love the concept of a 2-in-1 mobile computing phone.



NEW Microsoft Surface Duo 256GB (Unlocked) - Glacier

Unlike some companies like Microsoft, which have billions of dollars but won't pay for product creation or research. Their Surface Duo is so lazy, my grandma would have thought that up. And, you can forget about Apple being innovative. It died with Steve Jobs and Jony Ive leaving the company.

The phone design has stayed stagnant for quite a long while since the first iPhone. How many decades ago was that? Now, screen technology has improved and advance. I've seen a concept phone that you can roll on your wrist. At least the Apple Watch tech is kinda interesting. It needs a bigger screen though. And a little slimmer. The new rollable screen would be interesting.

Right now, I'm using the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. I've been using it for over a year now. I'm thinking of getting the Z Fold 2. But, hopefully, the Z Fold 3 would be announced soon. I want it to come with an S Pen and a better camera. Simply because I'll be using it for taking pictures, videos, and editing on it. Being able to open it up and use a bigger screen will definitely be useful.

I hope Samsung will come out with their own rollable phone. Why not? They definitely have the engineers able to think of something. I also prefer the Samsung phone because they have Samsung Dex. Something the rest of the mobile phone doesn't have. Maybe, we can use the Samsung Dex UI when we open up the phone to a bigger screen and use it like a computer.

Will be kinda nifty. You can use the phone as you normally would and it also fits in your pockets. But, if I need to do some video editing, that ability to open it up or roll it out to a tablet size would definitely help my poor eyesight as everything will be bigger and better to see. Believe me, I tried editing my holiday videos with an S10+, and if only I had a portable monitor or Dex Pad to link to the Tv.

Also, it won't be awkward to take photos or videos with a normal phone size rather than a tablet. But, being able to turn your phone into a tablet for video editing. So, there's definitely a lot of plus for convertible or 2-in-1 phone. I can't wait to have my hands on one. Especially, with the latest Exynos 2100 5G technology!

It seems just like yesterday when Samsung introduced its latest S20 series phone. Before that, it was the S10. I've tried both the S10 and S10+. I didn't get the S20 though. But, I changed to using the Note 10+. I wanted to try out the new S Pen. And, I'm definitely loving the Samsung Phone since.

Right now, if I weren't interested in the Samsung Folding phone, I might have wanted to upgrade to the S21. Especially, with their latest camera features. With 100x Zoom, can I use it for Moon-Watching? I won't have to buy a camera or a telescope.

I was actually hoping that Samsung would announce the Z Fold 3 at this CES 2021. With better camera specs. I wasn't really interested when they announce the first folding phone but the Z Fold 2 piqued my interest. It's also of course definitely better.

Again, as a Youtuber and blogger, the Z Fold 2 would have been perfect for me. Imagine after taking pictures and videos, I can open it up like a tablet and work on those videos. I can use my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Although, like my iPad, I seldom use a mouse.

Hopefully, the Samsung Z Fold 3 would be much lighter, slimmer, and cheaper. This would be perfect for mobile computing. You don't have to lug a tablet or a laptop anymore. Since all you need is your phone in your pocket.

There's a new Exynos 2100 which would be more powerful. So, if the Z Fold 3 comes with it. Whoa, what will happen? You'll be able to game, 5G, take higher quality pictures and videos. Do video editing on the spot, entertainment and so much more. Now, that's what I call mobile computing!

There are two products currently that catch my eyes. One is the Samsung Z Fold 2 and the other one is the Microsoft Surface Duo. First thing first, I've never got the privilege of being sent either of these products for play. I don't do a review, I play with these 'toys'. I either like them or don't. Anyway, if you want reviews, there are tons of them on youtube and websites.

Another thing is that I might be biased towards Samsung, cause I'm actually a fan of their products. Not so of Microsoft. Although, I'm using a Windows 10 pc. I like the Mac computer, but I don't have the money to buy them. I do have an iPad and once bought the Macbook gold. Love that laptop. But, I've sold it. I'm just saying, you might not agree with what I'm going to say about the Surface Duo. :p

Right off the bat, I'm going to say Microsoft is lazy. Why? Because just look at the Surface Duo. It's like they take two touchscreen tablets and screw them together. It's not even a full-screen touch tablet. Hello, it's already 2020. Most phones are full screen and bezel-less. One of the reasons, I bought the Samsung S10+ and later upgrade to Note 10+ over the Apple iPhone X with that stupid notch.

You really have to give an A++ to Samsung for their research effort. That's why I'm surprised when Apple came out with the notch. It's like they say, fck it. There's no way we can make this better. I wonder if Steve Jobs were alive if he'll see the notch and like, yucks. They have billions of dollars and they can't find a solution for the front camera notch?

When the Galaxy Fold was announced, I wasn't actually head over heels falling in love with it. Immediately, I thought that hinge won't last forever. In any product design, you try to remove any kind of mechanical movement. Because there definitely will be wear and tear. It goes for the screens too. I thought, with all the open and closing, how long can the screen last?

I didn't think much of the phone till I saw the Z fold 2. The moment I saw it, I'm like hey, that bronze is pretty nice. As I watch all the unboxing and revelations, I discovered they have actually improved to a front full screen. Yup, which the Surface Duo doesn't have. Some might argue, so what? Well, unlike the SD (Surface Duo), You can still use the Z fold 2 even when it's folded.

That's what I like about the Z fold 2 is that it looks and feels like a phone when closed. You can also definitely put it inside your pocket. I'm not sure if you can do that with the SD. The SD looks pretty wide and it looks like a book. A thin book. When you open the ZF2, it becomes a tablet. Even with the crease, it's still a tablet. While when you open the SD, it looks like two tablets with a hinge.

I don't know about you, but the parting in the middle is like you using two monitors. My desktop setup is actually like that. I have one big screen at the top and a smaller portable monitor at the bottom. Having two screens to multi-task is pretty useful. That's why I get the Surface Duo two monitors design. Also, using the bottom part as a touchscreen keyboard makes it like a two screens touch laptop.

I'm not really knocking off the Microsoft Surface Duo. If you're the type who likes the concept of having to monitors or tablets to multi-task than, by all means. It's also a phone, albeit bigger than your usual phablet. I remember one of my colleagues actually used his tablet as a phone and we were all laughing how funny that looks. 

That's why I'm pretty set at getting the Samsung Z Fold 2. I actually wished the ZF2 screen will be a little bit wider like my Note 10+ when closed. But, I'm not really complaining. Admittedly, I haven't even seen both of the product screens so I wouldn't know which actually is much better. At least I know you can't poke the ZF2 with an S Pen, which I really loved.

My main phone right now is the Samsung Note 10+. I sold my S10+ because I like how useful the S Pen is. Which is only available for the Note series. I like the phone so much, I recommended it to my mom and friends. That's why I was a little disappointed that the Z Fold 2 didn't have an S Pen. That would be an icing on the cake. Well, you can't have everything right?

I would have gotten the Note 20 Ultra 5G if I hadn't already got my Note 10+. Also, I don't have the dough. That's when my attention goes to the ZF2. Even though, the price is almost like getting a 13inch Macbook pro. I really like the new concept of the 2-in-1 phone. One moment, you're talking on the phone and another moment you're opening it up and using as a tablet.

I don't know the price of the Microsoft Surface Duo but I wouldn't be surprised if it's around the same range as the Z Fold 2. All I know is, the price is like paying for 2 mobile phones or an expensive android tablet. I think the price might go down once, the Chinese create their own cheaper 2-in-1  folding phone. They're becoming like the Japanese.

I remember back then, everyone was knocking off the japs cars. Copying from the Europeans. Now, they have a strong brand and even better products. Well, I see the Chinese doing the same thing. The Chinese have gone to the moon and already planning to go to Mars. That's how far their knowledge has grown in just a short time.

Ok. I'm going off scripts again. I'm just saying, look out for new better technology in the folding phone section. While Microsoft has tried to create its own brand of phones and failed, they might succeed with their portable folding laptop or tablet. Leave the phone market to Apple and Samsung. 

Right now, I'm giving the win to Samsung Z Fold 2. Based on their much better beautiful, practical, and forward-thinking industrial design!
