The Powkiddy X18 is definitely not as powerful as my Samsung Note 10+. Its specs are CPU: MTK 8163, quad-core A53 64-bit processor 1.3GHz. Memory: 2GDDR3+16GB EMMC. It also has a 5000mAh battery. Which last me a couple of hours of usage.

Games like PUBG and Call of Duty mobile don't run that well on the X18. Although, I haven't tried it out again after I've installed clean Rom yesterday. When I was using the stock ROM, pubg mobile downloaded from Apkpure.com was really bad. So bad, I deleted it.

The good thing is that my favorite Zombie fps shooter games by Madfingers run smoothly on it. I don't really like many Android games, mostly because they don't have controller support. But, there are definitely some gems. A game like Shadow Fight 3.

I actually wonder if I can play the game as when I was using the stock Rom, I couldn't play without the Google play service. After I finally managed to install the clean ROM and the touchscreen works (it didn't work at first) I can play it now.

The Shadow Fight 3 can definitely be played with nice graphics and smooth gameplay. But, it loads pretty slow in between duels. And, the ability to remaps the buttons and play with the integrated controller is definitely a plus. Unlike the hassle, if you want to play with a controller on the mobile.

My favorite rally racing game, Rush Rally 3 also plays smoothly on the Powkiddy X18. I also love playing Need for Speed Most Wanted on it. You can play Asphalt 9 Legends but the lowered graphics are really disappointing. That's why I think, the GPD XD Plus, specs-wise, is much better.

The difference in specs also means, there will be a difference in price. Obviously, I can't compare it to my Samsung Note 10+ as it's almost 3-4 times the price. That's probably why the manufacturer had to consider if they want to add or improve anything on it.

Hopefully, when parts become cheaper, I'll like them to improve on the CPU and the GPU. At least good enough to play PUBG or Call of Duty mobile smoothly. They're pretty much the benchmarks of mobile gaming. A better joystick will be good too as the current one 'head' feels kinda flat.

Also, maybe add a camera or create a 4G or 5G version as most Android games need you to have internet access. Part of the reason why I hate Android games. I want the camera because I found out you can use Whatsapp and send voice messages or voice calls on the X18!

Imagine, using this to video calls your friend. I've actually been using it to message my family and friends. Even without the sim card (no sim card slot), you can connect to your Whatsapp account if you have an extra mobile account number. Pretty cool!

You can even use it as a mini Android laptop. You can check your emails, do social media, use it for taking notes in school, or whatever. I actually bought it because I want to use the Termux app. I can install Ubuntu 20 and use its terminal. Want a bigger screen? Use HDMI to link to your Tv or monitor.

The Powkiddy X18 at a cheap price is definitely one of the best Android devices with an integrated controller. A powerhouse for game and entertainment/social media console. Get it if you haven't!

You don't have to buy expensive controllers for your mobile gaming. A gamepad like the AK16 is pretty good enough. It has an ergonomics design that lets you have a good grip and you can play it with other games like racing and even pinball.

Of course, playing with an Xbox one s or PS4 controller is much better. If you already have them, cool. If not, you'll have to fork up a day's wage. If you don't mind paying for a top-quality controller, by all means. I actually bought the Xbox night ops camo design. Which is already sold out!

One of the advantages of cheap controllers like the AK16 is that you don't have to worry about recharging it. Ever. And, when using it, you can even charge your phone at the same time. Although, I hate that it covers up my phone's camera.

I was thinking of using the AK16 as a permanent phone case. It's a little bulky because of the grip design. Although, I like that the grip doesn't protrude out too much. My Samsung Note 10+ is 6.8 inches, so it's a little difficult to put in and out of the case.

Have I told you how much I love my Note 10+? It's a great phone for mobile gaming. It's got a good camera that I always use to take close-up food photos. I also love using the S pen. Sometimes, the S pen actually helps when I want to layout the triggers icon below the physical triggers contact point.

I finally received my AK16 PUBG mobile gamepad today, and I'm actually loving it. I've been looking for an alternative for my Samsung Note 10+ because of its 6.8-inch size. There are not many controllers that can fit it.

I've already got myself the Mocute 058 One-Handed controller. While the glap controller which is pretty expensive. It's probably one of the best that's design for the Note 10+ phone. So, I decided to try the AK16 which is controller design for such games as PUBG and Call of Duty mobile.

I haven't yet tried those FPS Shooter games but I've tried playing and customizing the triggers for UNKILLED and SHADOWGUN LEGENDS. There are a lot of these games which allow you to customize the position of the triggers.

I was wondering if I could also use the gamepad to play my favorite pinball games. And, I can. All I need to do is turn the gamepad around so the triggers will be down below. The game will automatically adjust too.

It's definitely much more fun to play games with a gamepad. Although, I wish I could customize the controller and maybe don't have to turn the gamepad upside down. I also tried some racing games like F1 mobile, Grid Autosport, and Rush Rally 3.

You can definitely play the racing games with the AK16 gamepad but you'll have to customize the controller layout. Rush Rally 3 is probably the best to play with the gamepad. I wish all the mobile games offer the player control customization.

There are many console-level mobile games that don't include the ability to customize the control. They, the game dev prefers to concentrate on touchscreen control. Which kinda suckz. Especially, when your thumbs can get cringy while playing.

One thing I like about this kind of controller is that I don't have to worry about recharging the battery for it. I can play for hours and just concentrate on the game. All I need is to charge my phone. I can even play while charging since there's a cut out for it.

Well, at least it's cheap. Have a good ergonomic design. And, I can play most of my favorite mobile games with it. You also don't have to worry about recharging. Get one if you're interested. Just make sure your phone will fit into it.

Playing a console-like racing game with just your phone? Who would have thought? And, Grid Autosport has been out on the Google play store since 2014. But, with an advance phone like the Samsung Note 10+ and the ability to play it on a monitor with a dex pad is truly awesome!

The game can be played with an Xbox controller right out of the box. That's the reason why I got myself the Night-Ops camo edition. The gameplay is smooth and the graphics are on par with a pc game. Things are going to get more interesting when Samsung Exynos 990 comes out next year.

One thing for sure, we need more console-like games for the mobile phone. And, I'm not talking about those games that want you to pay to upgrade or whatever. Worst, when they don't even have controller support. I hate such games.

Touch screen control games aren't all bad. But, FPS or RPG games should have controller support. There are no two ways about it. Even my favorite sports, soccer games can't be played with a controller. If they can, I certainly didn't know. Most games don't even tell you if you can play with a gamepad.

There are few gems like Rush Rally 3 and Grid Autosport. You'll just have to pay once and you can enjoy playing the game offline. Just like the good old days. It's also fun to be able to play retro games too. It's like having a gaming console or gaming pc in your pocket!

I was thinking of buying the special edition Gears of War 5 Xbox one x controller. But, it was a little expensive. I  decided to look at the ps4 controller especially for use with my Samsung Note 10+. The thing is, I don't own a ps4. But, it would be cool to play a mobile phone game with the controller.

I found a sales near my home for the camo green color controller and decided there and then to get it. It was a close shop sales. What great timing. Finally, I got it and did an unboxing and some gameplay. Check out the video above or on my youtube channel here!

Frankly, I don't really like the ps controller. They seem small and not ergonomically designed. That's why I prefer playing games using the Xbox controller. But, once I tried playing with my new camo green controller, it doesn't seem all that bad. It actually felt nice.

I had to google for instructions on how to connect the controller to my phone. Unlike my special edition Gears of War 4, Xbox one s controller which has a button that I just need to push to connect. For the PS4 controller, you'll have to press the button, 'Share' + Home buttons to activate Bluetooth. Scan the controller on your phone and connect.

The controller might take a while to connect. If it doesn't just try again until it does. Once it's connected press the setting for the controller and make sure you can also use it for phone input. Instead of having to touch the screen, now you can move through the phone apps drawer to choose your game. Cool!

As always, it doesn't work with games that don't have controller support. Lucky for me, my favorite racing games like Rush Rally 3, UNKILLED fps zombie shooter and even F1 Mobile can now be played with my PS4 controller. F1 Mobile has just added controller support for their console like racing game. Funny, you can't go through the menu with the controller though. What gives!?

A little note. You can't play Call of Duty Mobile Garena and PUBG with the controller. The games don't have controller support, yet. Someone told us on one of my youtube videos that there will be controller support for COD mobile in the future. God, knows when!

The PS4 controller seems lighter and smaller than an Xbox controller. So, I'll prefer bringing it along when traveling to and fro to work or during vacation. With some great console-like games available for android phones with controller support, your phone will become a true gaming machine!

My note 10+ screen is around 6.8 inches. Actually, much bigger than my Nintendo Switch. I can connect my phone to a portable monitor for the bigger screen. With the Dex pad, I can turn my phone into a computer or a portable gaming console.

I'm pretty much happy with my purchased and can't wait to try out more games with it. And, with my Note 10+ with the bigger screen are great for gaming. I'm still waiting for my folding keyboard and Bluetooth mouse. All these will be great accessories for my mobile setup!

Finally! I discovered I can play my favorite rally game, Rush Rally 3 with the iPega 9087S controller. With this setting, I can also play retro games too. I've also tried playing Gear. Club and it's better than using the PUBG mode 1. Heck, I can even control my phone with it.

If you're wondering what I'm talking about, the iPega 9087S controller has several modes you can choose from by pressing HOME + the key buttons. For example, if I want to play PUBG, I'll press HOME + A for mode 1. For Rush Rally 3, it's HOME + X.

You must scan and reconnect your phone's Bluetooth when you change modes. For now, I'm letting it stay in mode 3. I haven't tried playing PUBG or similar games with this mode, but I'll try it out later. Visit the product page for more info and download the PDF here.

This controller is great for its price. My Samsung S10+ fits nicely into it. It's cheaper than an Xbox controller for playing with my phone. The 9087S isn't perfect though. It doesn't have rumbles and you can't charge your phone while playing. You'll need to take it off your phone.

I definitely like the red and black color design with LED light buttons. I keep repeating this but it's just like having the Switch Lite. I call mine the Switch Phone. The form factor is quite comfortable in the hands. I could be biased since I'm used to the Nintendo Switch. 

It's light and sturdy built. I chucked it inside my backpack and took it out when I wanted to play games.

This is nitpicking but the joystick controllers are small. I used my switch joy-con cap to cover it. It's a little better but, while playing Rush Rally 3, it came off in the middle of playing the game. Other than that, the trigger and key buttons felt great.

I'm really enjoying playing games more using the iPega Red Knight. I hope they improve or add more features to the controller—, without increasing the price. I've looked at other iPega products for mobile phones, and this is probably the best.

Oh, one last thing. I don't know why the START, SELECT, and TURBO buttons are small and don't have LED lighting. I find myself searching for the buttons when in the dark. They could improve on that too.

Game dev. Take note. We need better games for the mobile phone with controller support!
