I've bought several third-party controllers for my Nintendo Switch and even for the Switch lite. There are of course many available in the market. I saw this Hori Pac-man Nintendo switch split pad pro version and it really looks cool!

I was thinking of getting an external gamepad for my Nintendo Switch lite. Even though I can't dock my switch lite to the big screen Tv but sometimes you feel like playing sitting down and with a gamepad.
There are many great and cool design controllers. I was looking around and then found this transparent design. Frankly, all of the controllers are the same to me. But, I was looking for something different and I really like the see-through housing shell.
This is not an RGB controller where you can have many LED lighting effects. I wish it is though. Nonetheless, the single blue led indicator light is still cool. You can also see the vibration through the clear case when you change the percentage.
My nephew says the transparent gamepad is ugly. Well, everyone has their own opinion and taste. He might not like it but I do. And, simply loving it. It's kinda cool to see the inside parts of the gamepad. I actually ordered an NDS lite clear housing shell yesterday. That's my coming project.
Yes, I still have an NDS lite and also an N3DS XL. I wish I can play my ds games on my Nintendo switch lite. If it was back compatible, it would have been better. Maybe, one day, they'll have those games available on NSO aka Nintendo Switch Online.
Right now, NSO is only full of retro games. This isn't bad as you have loads of popular retro fun. But what about NDS games? I also wish they'll add more stuff like movies, social media, apps, music, and others like those available on other online stores.

By the way, if you didn't know it, there's a Nintendo switch lite replacement housing shell too. I'm thinking of getting it. Not sure when. My switch lite is the special edition Zacian and Zamazenta edition. So, maybe I'll wait a while before replacing the shell housing.
This is definitely way cool. Why doesn't Nintendo sell this type of special edition Nintendo or switch lite?
Yesterday, I downloaded and checked out the Battle Prime multiplayer FPS shooter game and was impressed. I read the feedback and one guy even said, he thinks the game is even better than pubg and Call of Duty combined.
I like the various maps you can play right out of the bat. The maps look really good and it's really console-like. I like the guns and how they sound. Playing with my two triggers and the rumble effects on my Samsung Note 10+ phone makes the experience more awesome.
I wished there was a story version of the game like Shadowgun Legends. Like an RPG game where you can go and meet people or buy and sell guns, and gears and even take up missions. Which will make the game more fun.
Battle Prime has a subscription payment system. I've never subscribed to pay for games. I'd rather pay for the whole game. It doesn't make sense. The other day, I read a parent is suing a game company because the child spends almost $1000 on in-game items!
Of course, this isn't new. That's how mobile gaming is set up right now. I remember the good old days when I could pay for a game I liked. There are a couple of games that I bought before but they change it to a free-to-play crap. How can that be? What happened to the games I've already bought?
Game developers nowadays are lazy and greedy. They create ONE game and milk the heck out of the gamers. Funny that they fell for this. I used to buy and play games. Now, I don't. I just play a few games with controller support and delete the rest.
I buy good games that are out for my Xbox and Nintendo Switch. It's sad. Mobile game graphics have really improved but no good mobile games to play. Now, they have arcade games that remind me of those Facebook games. I'd rather play retro games.
Remember, you can now dock your mobile phone and play games on a portable monitor or a big-screen TV. Like the Nintendo Switch. But, most game devs only create stupid, auto-play, touch games for it. How are you gonna play the game on TV without controller support?
I'm really exasperated at how degrading the mobile games today are. Back then, I was hoping in the future, mobile games would be on par with console gaming and I'd be able to play with my Xbox or PS3 controller. Turn out, it's more for casual and children gamers.
Those, that's willing to keep paying for items with their parent's credit cards. WTF!?

Since I got myself these triggers to play PUBG and Call of Duty mobile, I find it works as good as a normal controller. But, there are advantages and disadvantages of course. For one thing, you have to forgo the use of joysticks and buttons.
I've been ignoring these PUBG triggers for a long time and only prefer to play with a real gamepad like my GOW, gears of war 4 Xbox one s controller. I also bought other mobile gamepads like the Mocute 058 and the iPega 9087s.
The mobile gamepads work pretty well. But the mocute 058 seems to like to disconnect halfway while I'm playing a game. And, the iPega 9087s didn't fit my Samsung Note 10+ 6.8 inch size. It did fit the Ak16 gamepad though.
I actually like Ak16. It's a little tight but once you fit it in, you can actually just leave it on. It's not too bulky and very nice to hold with the ergonomic design. Only, it blocks my camera view. I like taking food pictures so, a little too troublesome having to take it off and put it on again.
In the end, I bought these transparent triggers. Which looks nice and also has the trigger design. You can tighten the triggers to the phone with the screws. Which will not move around while you're playing. And, of course, I don't have to worry about it blocking my phone camera.
People who watched my ipega red knight 9087s youtube video keep telling me that they're having a problem with the connections. It's supposed to work right out the box. And, you'll need the V3 app to remap the buttons. With these mechanical triggers, you don't have to worry about all that.
All you have to do is go to the game settings and customize the layout buttons. I find that different shooter games have different ways of playing. So, I customize the layout buttons to the way, I want to play. For COD mobile, I'll use my right trigger with ADS. And the left for walking with your head low, kneeling, etc.
In PUBG mobile, my right trigger is for shooting and the left the same as the COD setting. But, in pubg, there are no ADS. So, I'll have to use my left thumb to tap for scope. A little troublesome and slower. Especially, when you'll prefer it to be auto like in COD.
If I'm playing Shadowgun War Games, my left trigger is set to throw a grenade. You can't lower your head or kneel in it. It's not that tactical. Anyway, in PUBG and COD, you can't customize the grenade button layout. So, it pretty much depends on your preferences while playing each game.
I find that once, I set the layout of the buttons to my preferences, I play a little better and having more fun. It'll take a couple of games to finally settled on the layout and adjusting to the gameplay but it's worth it. No more worries about re-charging, buying apps, camera phone blocking. Heck, I prefer keeping the triggers on the phone.
I am thinking of getting the twin triggers type though. Which have 4 triggers? It'll be useful and faster than looking for the button on the screen. That's one of the disadvantages of not playing with a real controller. You can't play with instincts.
Also, longer triggers will be useful when I'm playing my favorite pinball games. All you have to do is turn the game around and you'll be able to play the game with the triggers. Beat, just tapping on the screen. It might block your views at the top though.
Anyway, there are lots of mechanical triggers you can check out here on Amazon. The trick is to find one that suits your playing style. I think I've found mine and I'm enjoying it.

I've been looking for good shooter games to play with my triggers and there are a few that I like. I've downloaded a few but only tried a couple. Some, I deleted. Especially, when they don't allow buttons layout customization.
Without buttons customization layouts you can't shift the shooter buttons to the trigger button. Normally, I'll shift the scope to the left trigger button but nowadays, I like the ADS feature in games like Call of Duty mobile. So in games like SHADOWGUN WAR GAMES, I'll use the left buttons for throwing grenades.
I just tried playing BATTLE FORCES fps yesterday, and I'm actually loving the game. For one thing, they skip the tutorial and let you jump straight into the game. They pretty much assumed you already know how to play this kind of team deathmatch. Also, probably because they have the standard way of playing. The controls aren't anything special.
The game right now is on early access. I've already given feedback but I think I need to ask them if they could make it that after you're done shooting you'll return back to non-scope. Right now, once done shooting it remains on the scope mode until you start walking or running. Normally, you'll use the left trigger for scope but I prefer the faster way of shooting your guns.
I must say, I'm really loving my triggers too. I used it for racing and even pinball games. For racing games, the best to play with triggers is Rush Rally 3. It's the only racing game I know of that allows you to customize the layout of the buttons. Popular games like Real Racing 3, Gear.club, Grid Autosport, and Asphalt 9 Legends don't have that capability. So, they suckz.
One good thing about these mechanical triggers is that you don't have to worry about recharging batteries. I especially like these designs because it looks like a trigger and it's shiny. The cons are that sometime it blocks your view. But, you can just turn around your phone if you really need to see the scores or whatever. And, if like me you leave it on the phone it will also block when you want to use the keyboard.
You can of course, easily take it out. Unlike my AK16 gamepad, which is a little tough since my Samsung Note 10+ is too big. I also have my Xbox one s Night-Ops Camo and recently I bought the Mocute 058. All of them are great for mobile gaming, but the triggers are the more minimal setup for my mobile gaming. Oh and not forgetting my iPega Red Knight 9087s which is too small for my Note 10+.
There are definitely many ways to play mobile games. Mobile game devs have to be mindful of all these gamepads and the best way that can cater to all types of gamers. I really hate games that don't allow control layout customization or only allows you to play a certain way. Especially those games that don't have controller support. And like one of the gamer feedbacks games for a child.
Game devs seem to forget that there are experienced game consoles and pc gamers that shun mobile games because it's pretty much design to be crippled. All these auto-shooting or auto-playing craps are probably for a 3-year old that doesn't know the difference between left and right. And, you wonder why Diablo die-hard fans go up in arms about the diablo mobile?

You don't have to buy expensive controllers for your mobile gaming. A gamepad like the AK16 is pretty good enough. It has an ergonomics design that lets you have a good grip and you can play it with other games like racing and even pinball.
Of course, playing with an Xbox one s or PS4 controller is much better. If you already have them, cool. If not, you'll have to fork up a day's wage. If you don't mind paying for a top-quality controller, by all means. I actually bought the Xbox night ops camo design. Which is already sold out!
One of the advantages of cheap controllers like the AK16 is that you don't have to worry about recharging it. Ever. And, when using it, you can even charge your phone at the same time. Although, I hate that it covers up my phone's camera.
I was thinking of using the AK16 as a permanent phone case. It's a little bulky because of the grip design. Although, I like that the grip doesn't protrude out too much. My Samsung Note 10+ is 6.8 inches, so it's a little difficult to put in and out of the case.
Have I told you how much I love my Note 10+? It's a great phone for mobile gaming. It's got a good camera that I always use to take close-up food photos. I also love using the S pen. Sometimes, the S pen actually helps when I want to layout the triggers icon below the physical triggers contact point.
There are many controllers like the AK16 available. Some designs are a little different and there are even some that come with fans. I heard that some of the fans aren't that good. So, you'll have to do your own diligence.
I finally received my AK16 PUBG mobile gamepad today, and I'm actually loving it. I've been looking for an alternative for my Samsung Note 10+ because of its 6.8-inch size. There are not many controllers that can fit it.
I've already got myself the Mocute 058 One-Handed controller. While the glap controller which is pretty expensive. It's probably one of the best that's design for the Note 10+ phone. So, I decided to try the AK16 which is controller design for such games as PUBG and Call of Duty mobile.
I haven't yet tried those FPS Shooter games but I've tried playing and customizing the triggers for UNKILLED and SHADOWGUN LEGENDS. There are a lot of these games which allow you to customize the position of the triggers.
I was wondering if I could also use the gamepad to play my favorite pinball games. And, I can. All I need to do is turn the gamepad around so the triggers will be down below. The game will automatically adjust too.
It's definitely much more fun to play games with a gamepad. Although, I wish I could customize the controller and maybe don't have to turn the gamepad upside down. I also tried some racing games like F1 mobile, Grid Autosport, and Rush Rally 3.
You can definitely play the racing games with the AK16 gamepad but you'll have to customize the controller layout. Rush Rally 3 is probably the best to play with the gamepad. I wish all the mobile games offer the player control customization.
There are many console-level mobile games that don't include the ability to customize the control. They, the game dev prefers to concentrate on touchscreen control. Which kinda suckz. Especially, when your thumbs can get cringy while playing.
One thing I like about this kind of controller is that I don't have to worry about recharging the battery for it. I can play for hours and just concentrate on the game. All I need is to charge my phone. I can even play while charging since there's a cut out for it.
I wish it was a little slimmer though. And, has a cut-out for the camera. I wouldn't have to take it off and just use it as a phone case. The triggers aren't in the way if I used it as a phone. Would have been the perfect mobile gaming case.
Well, at least it's cheap. Have a good ergonomic design. And, I can play most of my favorite mobile games with it. You also don't have to worry about recharging. Get one if you're interested. Just make sure your phone will fit into it.

There are many good joysticks and triggers for playing PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile (COD). I've been looking around doing my own research and I was thinking of something that could be fixed onto the phone without ever the need to take it off.
Currently, there aren't any really good design case with triggers and buttons for mobile gaming that's not too bulky or big. You want something that's able to be put inside your pocket and take it out whenever you feel like gaming.
Of course, you'll want to be able to use the phone like any other phone without looking like you're holding a Nintendo switch to your ears. I have kind of a rough sketch of my own mobile gaming case. It's just something I've been playing around and nothing serious though. Take a look at the design below.
If there's a design engineer out there or a company looking to create new products, they should think of making a mobile game case controller. Something, that you'll be happy to put on and also use as any other normal phone. It has to be ergonomic, slim, slick and compatible with games that have controller support.
The mobile game case should be able to extend and fix it into a 5-7 inch sized phone. I think the biggest phone should be up to 7 inches. Any bigger then that would have been a tablet. Unless you're the type who loves using a tablet as a phone.
My design can definitely be improved a lot. Especially, when you want it to be practical and easy to produce. For one thing, the joystick could be flexible enough that you can just flip it and use it as a kickstand or put behind the phone when not in use. You can use one or both depending on your preference.
The triggers should be able to slide in and out along the phone side. Again, depending on your preferences This design would be for gaming using touch and controller combined. I think for most games, you'll usually prefer a joystick on the left side of the phone. The rest can be control by touch.
There are one or two trigger and joystick designs that I like and if you put them together could be something that I'm talking about. These products are also what I think would be best for playing PUBG and COD. Check them out below!
Well, you get the idea. If you're a pubg and Call of Duty gamer, you can mix and match the joystick and triggers. You can definitely, leave the triggers on the phone without ever taking it off but, you can't do the same for the joystick. Unless you can find one that can be flip to the back of the phone.
I wish there was a Bluetooth version of this kind of joystick and triggers available. So that you can also use it to play other games. Like soccer or racing game. Some shooters have a different kind of gamepad setup. Where you can't shift the touchscreen control.
Another thing I'm quite surprised about is how so few complete kits with joystick are available on the market right now. Most of the product designers only concentrate on the triggers. What about the joystick. For sure, I'm not the only one that hates playing games without a joystick?
