Admittedly, it has been a while since I've played mobile games. Okay, any kind of game. Been busy with my cycling and photography projects. But, since it's rainy season and I can't go out, I decided to take out the Ipega red knight 9087s and see if I can play any games on my iPhone 13.

Well, I can connect to the iPhone but the control buttons aren't working. I tried everything and finally gave up. Again, my Samsung S22+ case design is making it difficult to fit in but somehow I managed to. It's definitely much easier to connect and play on an Android mobile device.

I did an unboxing and blogging about the ipega red knight controller a couple of years back. You can watch the unboxing video here and more on my youtube channel. The good news is, it still works fine. And, I prefer the mode press Home+X for RPG, racing, fighting, and retro gaming.

I tried playing the new Diablo Immortal with the 9087s and it works right out of the box. I don't even need the V3 buttons mapping software. Which you can download from the Google play store. I like how the design and color of the red buttons fit the overall look theme of the game.

Someone said the thumbstick is kinda small. He's right. I have small hands and even I think it's too small. It doesn't feel as good as an xbox one s controller. Notice that I said Xbox one s. It's the only controller that I have tried connecting via Bluetooth with my Samsung Android phone.

Yes, you can connect and play mobile games with an xbox one s controller, if you didn't already know. I'm assuming, that all the latest xbox controllers can do this now via Bluetooth unlike in the past. Where you have to buy a PC version of the xbox 360 controller. One more thing, if you don't know is that with Samsung Dex, you can play mobile games on a bigger screen like a portable monitor or even a Tv. Connect your xbox controller, and voila! It's like gaming on a console. Pretty cool. Check out my video here and more if you're interested.

In the early days, mobile gamers like me used to lament about the lack of ability to play mobile games with a physical controller. Nowadays, you're spoilt for choice. There are so many mobile game controllers that it pretty much depends on your budget, best build, and most importantly good games with controller support.

Well, I just discovered the GameSir X2 pro-Xbox, approved mobile game controller. It even comes with 1 month's xbox game pass. I might check this out later on. Imagine, being able to stream play your favorite xbox games and play them on the go.

Mobile gaming or portable gaming has really come far. From being able to play full console-quality games on your laptop and other portable devices like the Nintendo Switch or Switch lite to now your mobile phone. How cool is that? If you search through my blog post, I have been wanting this for years!

Well, who would have imagined being able to play Diablo on a mobile phone with a mobile controller, eh?

It's a nice Saturday. So I decided to re-make a video of me playing PUBG mobile game on my Samsung S10+ using iPega 9087s retractable controller. It's just something fun to do, also in reference to the John Wick movie where he's known to be able to kill with just a pencil.

I haven't yet seen the latest John Wick 3 movie PARABELLUM. I'm saving it for some other day. Anyway, I've seen the trailer where he fought with 2 Indonesian silat masters, Yayan and Cecep. I wasn't exactly impressed with those clips.

The fighting scene between the two 'ninjas' totally looks awkward to me. I might be wrong and could change my mind if I've watched the full movie. I had to return to watching the two original movies, The Raid I and II that both of them were in to remind me how good they were.

One of my youtube viewers asked if I could check that the ipega red knight 9087s controller can be played with the new Call of Duty mobile - Garena. And, it does. But, you'll have to download the V3 shooter app from google store to remap the buttons.

The weapon aiming is a little hard to control. But, in all, it's pretty smooth gaming. Wish, the game dev would have made the control support a little better. For one thing, I can't find the trigger button. Maybe, I miss it but it's autofire. Just like most other shooter games nowadays.

I also haven't yet tried playing the game via Samsung dex. It'll be cool to be able to play it with a mouse and keyboard. Just like the pc version of the game. The graphics look really nice on my S10+ of course. I usually don't like playing multiplayer games but the more I play it, the more I like it!

I hope there'll be a new storyline version of the game. And, be able to play it via my Samsung dex pad with mouse and keyboard support. If not, it'll be fun too, playing with my xbox one s controller. C'mon dev! Make it happen!

What if we can play the original call of duty on our phone. Wouldn't that be cool? Although, it would be nice if it's available for the Nintendo switch. Especially, with the new longer battery hours. It's time to play on the go!

I don't generally like touch screen control games. But, not all of them are bad I guess. You should download and try out Brutal Street 2. Stylish design game with simple touch control. You can upgrade your characters looks, power, and weapons with every fight.

I'm still learning how to play the game. If you watch my video, I didn't realize I should select each character and use their extra abilities during the fight. One thing, I don't like if you use touch control is that your fingers are all over the screen. Blocking the view.

A couple of time, while I was trying to select the lady character to make her moves, I accidentally close the game. That's part of the irritating thing about playing with touch control. In other games, I will tap and tap and wondering why nothing happens only to realize I was tapping at the wrong place.

I get it, that not everyone wants to buy a controller to play a mobile game. But, there are gamers like me who do. That's why I bought the ipega red knight 9087s retractable controller. Specifically, to play mobile games that have controller support.

Heck, I also like to play some games with my special edition Gears of War 4 Xbox one s controller. Which is pretty cool. Coming from a console gamer, of course, we very much prefer to play games with a real controller. But, I also frequently saw during travels people playing touch screen games on their mobile.

So I get it. My solution would be, to provide both types of controls for the game. You'll make both parties very happy. Instead, of reading complains and feedbacks about the lack of better controls for your games. I'm not sure why dev is so inclined to create games without controller support. In the earlier days, you would understand but it's 2019. There are tons of mobile controller available in the market right now.

I've read feedbacks on Google play store how some gamers would delete a game once they found out it doesn't have controller support. Another thing is, of course, the pay to play concept. There aren't many good full games selling right now. There are players though who still play and even willing to pay. Brutal Street 2 is a pay to play game too. A pity.

I would pay for a full Brutal Street 2 game with controller support. I don't think, they're gonna make it. Simply because the pay to play concept is making the dev good money. The gamers are the one that supports such concept. If it doesn't work, the concept would have been long gone!

I found another game that works with the iPega Red Knight 9087s retractable controller. Granted, it's not a new game and you've probably played it. But, this game works great with a controller. And, of course, you can replay it again and again. I think, you can pay for a full version. I'm definitely getting it.

There's another game by the same company pixelbite called xenowerk. It also works with the 9087s controller. Both of these game is kinda the same. But, definitely lots of fun. The controller work right out the bat without any buttons remapping.

I like how you can hide behind a box or barrier and shoots at your enemies. You can also use stealth to go behind and put them to sleep. You can get both of the games on Google play store. Play it with a controller for added fun!

If only, they have a first-person version of these games.

Like I've said before, there aren't many games on the google play store that's worth playing or with controller support. There are big companies like EA with games like FIFA Soccer and you can't play with a controller. For peep sake, there's been a couple of time in my frantic playing that I couldn't score because I was tapping at the wrong place!

I tried the game with the ipega controller and it didn't work. I tried all the modes and none of them works. Anyway, from the reviews that I've read, the game sucks. It's not like the FIFA soccer we've played decades ago. So, good riddance, I've deleted it. I deleted all games that don't have controller support. And, worse when you need the internet to play.

The game industry is not like it used to be. Now, they're even promoting game streaming via clouds. Of course, you'll have to pay monthly to play. And, you definitely need good bandwidth. If not, just stick with retro gaming. That's what most gamers are doing anyway. Thank goodness, my ipega controller works with Retroarch.

By the way, also check out glap dual shock wireless controller that will fit with your Samsung Note 10+ 6.8 inches size. I'm thinking of getting the Note 10+ but apparently, the ipega 9087s only fit phones that's 6.2 inches and below. Kinda a bummer. Well, hope ipega will create a larger version of the 9087s.

You can play Alien Shooter 2 The Legend with iPega Red Knight 9087s retractable controller too. First off, you need to press HOME + X for mode 3. You'll then be able to control the menu albeit slow and play the game.

You can use the left joystick to move around while the right joystick to aim and fire. I'll rather use the right trigger to fire but, you can't change the setting. Other than that, you can use the buttons B or A to select. I can't remember if I've ever played the game on Pc but for a port, it looks and plays well.

Now, if only more oldies shooter games like these are made available for the phone. How bout Left for dead? I'm pretty sure, the phone today be able to take it. Nowadays, we don't have to worry about touch control. Since there are tons of mobile controller out there!

Mobile games are evolving, but they're not moving the right way. It's sub-par and not really console or pc standard. It's just dev on a quick buck. Well, they're thinking of playing games from the cloud with subscriptions. Yup, another damn subscription to pay every month.

That's why I almost never play mobile games. Lucky for me, I have the Nintendo Switch and tons of great games are available for it. Full console-level game. And, you can either play it on your big screen Tv or on the go. With the ipega controller, my phone actually can become like the switch.

The only problem? Games! We need more good android games!

The Samsung phone like my S10 plus have Samsung dex. And, with the dex pad, I can turn it into a computer. Which in turns mean, I can play games like I'm playing on a computer. But, currently, there are not many games optimizes for the dex. Which is a bummer?

You can definitely do more with a phone nowadays. Use it as a phone, your daily communications device. In the office, you can dock it to the dex pad and use it as a computer. On your way home, or during breaks, put it on the iPega and play games like the switch. Voila!

I love playing a basketball game and my favorite team is always Chicago Bulls. Okay, the only reason I support the team is that they were champion back then with Michael Jordan. Who could forget the best team in the NBA!

Frankly, I don't know much about basketball beside that. I don't play it in real life. But, I like playing the game just as I like playing FIFA soccer. I decided to try if the ipega 9087s will work with NBA 2K Mobile. It does!

You need to press HOME + A for mode 1 to be able to use the controller. Make sure, the phone camera is on the top left or you'll find the controller working weird. You can't go through the menu using the controller though. Other then that, you'll learn which buttons are for which.

In all, I really like the game. I don't really care which players are inside my team. I wanted to play the latest NBA 2k20 mobile but I'll have to pay. And, I think the controller will work. I saw video gameplay of it with the ipega controller. Only that, I don't like having to pay to play!

I'm not sure what's going on with the game dev today. Why can't it be like the old days where you got what you pay for. Now, you'll have to pay to get the game and then keep paying to play. What the hell?

The worst part is that there are gamers out there that support such games. They're willing to pay to play. Hundreds if not thousands of $$ have been paid to get gems or whatever. I worry about the game industry.
