Mario Kart Live vs Raspberry pi Smart Robot

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit -Mario Set - Nintendo Switch Mario Set Edition

Hey guys,

Check it out!

So, the Nintendo Mario Kart live is available now. You can get it here (Amazon). Like, I've said in several posts ago, I've wanted this type of thing from Nintendo. It already has a screen and controllers. Would be fun to be able to connect toys to it.

Although, I was wishing being able to pair it with my Raspberry pi smart robot. I'm not sure if you can actually already do that after hacking your Switch. You can install Linux distro like Debian and use python to control your raspberry pi.

I've always thought, the Nintendo Switch can be more than just a portable gaming console. It's great for education and being able to connect to a Raspberry pi smart robot will be way cool. Of course, Nintendo prefers making their own toys for people to buy.

I won't be surprised if Mario Drone is out next. Would be another added bonus to fly around your drone and being able to record views or like Mario Kart, racing with your friends. They can even do race events for both of them.

The difference between a Mario Kart live and Raspberry pi is that you can also use the Pi as a computer. You can buy parts for your smart robot or drone and learn to code with python. You can also learn coding with SmileBASIC 4 and FUZE 4 on your Nintendo Switch too.

Someone out there already able to transfer files using smilebasic 4 and creating an emulator. I was already wondering if you can use smilebasic 4 to somehow connect to your raspberry pi or Arduino. That would be way cool!

I was also hoping the 'makers' would come out with something that can be connected and use together with the Nintendo Switch. The Mario Kart live already proves that the Nintendo Switch can be used more than just a gaming console.

I'm surprised that they (the makers) didn't think of this. Or probably did. I wouldn't know what's going on behind closed doors. I'm just saying, or keep saying, how great the Switch is. I can imagine, someone hacking (a driverless car) using their Nintendo Switch and control it with the controllers. I'm not saying people should do it though.

I think what's so great about the Nintendo Switch is the design. Make for portability. Even then, to me, the Switch lite is more portable and flexible because it's around an inch smaller. Everyone has their own preferences of which one is better of course.

If you want to make a Windows 10, portable gaming console, follow this same design. You can even make a raspberry pi with a Linux distro portable computer. There are already many mobile phone Bluetooth controller that you can just fix on it.

You might want to check out the windows 10, portable gaming console above. Which also comes with a controller. A little pricey. But, I hope, it'll become more powerful in the future. Maybe, using AMD Ryzen CPU & GPU.

The design isn't that bad, but the controller a little weird. I also don't like the mini laptop butt coming out at the back but that's for the cooling system. I like how the ram and storage can be much bigger. With STEAM installed, you can game and use it like any other normal computer.

In the future, portability is King!

Ok, maybe, when the computer is in-plant in you, portability will become another matter.

Nintendo Switch lite SmileBASIC 4 NOTOHOHO SHOOTER GAMEPLAY

Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con - HAC-001(-01)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've been playing with SmileBASIC 4 (website), a coding program for a while now on my Nintendo Switch lite. I decided to mod the tutorial code for a shooter game and change the sprites, music, screen background color, and even the text.

Modding a game will also help you in learning how to code your own game. You learn which code controls the buttons, directional pad, and analog stick. It's really fun when you run the game and see it all works. Pretty cool!

If you didn't know @notohoho is the Twitter handle for the CEO of SmileBoom (website). He's the professor sprite I'm using in replace of the spaceship. And, the enemy is the 'punk' in the smilebasic tutorial. I thought it would be funny if I used them as the sprites in my mod shooter game.

There are a lot of different kinds of music, sound effects, sprites that are already available for use. Of course, you can also create your own. If you've been playing games (I know people that don't), you'll have many ideas that you want to try and that's where the fun is.

Nintendo Switch Lite - Zacian and Zamazenta Edition

If you didn't know, SmileBASIC is almost similar to BASIC(Wikipedia) and Python. Hence, the name smilebasic. So, if you're a Python expert, this would be easy. If not, you can also learn Python and test it out on the Switch with Smilebasic.

The similarity is one of the reasons why I like smilebasic. When I learn some python code, I'll try it out on smilebasic and it'll work. The code is a bit different but it's not that much. You'll be able to work it out. Like the 'FOR' or 'WHILE' which you will always be using.

Python Programming for Beginners : The Ultimate Guide for Beginners to Learn Python Programming: Crash Course on Python Programming for Beginners (Python Programming Books Book 1)

The best part is that the Nintendo Switch especially the switch lite is a portable gaming console. You can practice or code your own game in a jiffy. Anytime and anywhere without needing a computer or a laptop. Heck, you can code and play simple short games within half an hour.

That's how cool smilebasic and Nintendo Switch are. Although, with the switch lite, you can't dock it and link it to a monitor or a Tv. The Nintendo Switch will make it easier to use a keyboard and mouse if you're serious about creating and coding more complex games.

I didn't actually think, I would enjoy playing the games that I had mod from the tutorial as I was afraid it won't feel like a 'real' game. But, I actually was having fun. The more I play, the more ideas that came to my mind. And, I found out some new things I can do or add.

I'm trying to push the idea that the Nintendo Switch is not just a gaming console. But, it can also be an educational system. SmileBasic 4 and Fuze 4, another game programming software is a great example. This will be good especially for students.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit -Mario Set - Nintendo Switch Mario Set Edition

The Nintendo Switch is already powerful enough, but I hope, Nintendo will improve more on it. Especially the storage, graphics, and battery. I'm glad they thought of the Marko Kart Live. The ability to control a smart car instead of the Labo

Wouldn't it be cool if there's also a Mario Drone or Mario Robot that you can learn to control with coding? Just like with a Raspberry pi robot. The possibility is endless!

*UPDATE: NOTOHOHO SHOOTER SmileBASIC 4 server published KEY = 4QAS3R3X3 - I didn't know where to save it so it's just named as Workspace. I'm not sure how to rename it. But if you click on it it'll show the game title, NOTOHOHO SHOOTER. Pls, like it if you enjoyed playing. Download and enjoy!

(Matrix)Trinity has contacted me on my Nintendo switch lite #matrix #trinity #nintendo #nintendoswitch #switchlite

Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con - HAC-001(-01)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yesterday, as usual, I was playing with my Nintendo Switch Lite and decided to open up SmileBASIC 4 to play with some codes. If you didn't know, smilebasic 4 and Python are almost the same. Smilebasic is a much easier and shorter code to write. In fact, if I learned something new about Python, I'll also try it out on smilebasic. Pretty cool.

One thing I like about smilebasic 4 is that it also has a terminal. I love playing in the terminal. Although you can't connect to the outside world. You can do simple things like the basic "hello world". You can perform calculations, change a font color, play sound effects, and even background music. You can also call out sprites right on the terminal.

While doing some basic looping coding, I remembered the Matrix movie where the message "Neo" appeared on his computer terminal. It'll be fun to do that on my Switch Lite terminal. Play it as if they set a meeting for me to meet Trinity. And, I can easily do it with smilebasic 4. There's basically no other way you can do it.

People don't realize what they can do with a Nintendo Switch and learning to code with SmileBASIC 4. There's another game coding program called FUZE 4. Both of these programs are great for learning to code and creating your own games. I want people to know that the switch is not just for gaming!

Nintendo Switch Lite - Coral - Switch

The Nintendo Switch is already a great portable gaming console. It already has a good screen and controller. People, especially kids, can learn coding on it and even program their own games. It would be fun and educational. SmileBASIC 4 and FUZE 4 both have keyboard support. Since you need to type a lot when coding.

The ability to use a keyboard and mouse should be right out of the box for the Nintendo Switch. You can already dock your Switch to a big screen TV or a computer monitor. Some people play games on their TV and monitor, like a gaming PC. That's why Nintendo should do that. Smartphones today are as powerful as a pc.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit -Mario Set - Nintendo Switch

I'm not sure if it was last year, but when Nintendo announced Labo, I was like, meh. I'm more interested in connecting it to a Raspberry Pi. Imagine being able to connect to a Raspberry Pi robot. Control it like a car or a robot. That would be way much cooler than the cardboards.

I could use something like the SmileBASIC 4 to code and control the robot. That would be way super-cool. Well, Nintendo just announced their Mario Kart Live, and I'm like, that's what I've been wanting from them. You can't code anything, but this is a good start. Next, they can do a Mario Drone. Now,  Arduino and Raspberry Pi makers should find a way to bank on this.

Freenove Robot Dog Kit for Raspberry Pi 4 B 3 B+ B A+, Walking, Self Balancing, Ball Tracing, Face Recognition, Live Video, Ultrasonic Ranging, Camera Servo Wireless RC

There are already almost 60 million-plus Nintendo Switches sold. There's a ready market for makers to take advantage of. You need to work out something with Nintendo. I will give feedback to Nintendo and open up their systems for educational purposes. I would like to play the Linux terminal on my Switch Lite, one day.

Yes, I know, you can already hack it, but I'm not interested in having to solder my switch lite. I suck at soldering. Also, I don't want to brick my system and be banned from my Online gaming. Anyway, doing things the legal way will support more devs and probably makers (in the future). That's why I buy games and support instead of paying the counterfeiters, which I used to do.

Windows Subsystem Linux (WSL) in Microsoft Visual Studio Code

C 8.0 and .NET Core 3.0 – Modern Cross-Platform Development: Build applications with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core, and ML.NET using Visual Studio Code, 4th Edition

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've been dabbling, playing around with Python and WSL aka Windows Subsystem for Linux using a separate editor. But, yesterday, watching a video on learning python, it was recommended to download and use Microsoft Visual Studio Code.

Recently, I saw a youtube video showing that now, you can use WSL right from inside the Visual Studio. I was intrigued. That's part of the reason I wanted to download and install the Visual Studio code. Seems like will be something new for me to learn.

C 8.0 and .NET Core 3.0 – Modern Cross-Platform Development: Build applications with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core, and ML.NET using Visual Studio Code, 4th Edition

For me, this is something new to try and play with. Installation was pretty fast and easy. Once, I installed the Visual Studio code, it immediately asked me if I wanted to add the WSL since I already have it. That's really helpful right from the start.

Of course, the first thing I tried was trying some simple python, "Hello World" code. But, first, it installed and add python for me. You can practically install and use anything from inside the visual studio code. This is a pretty powerful editor.

Visual Studio Code: End-to-End Editing and Debugging Tools for Web Developers

This is funny but after a while doing some python stuff, I go to the terminal and instinctively type, wsl. And, immediately I was brought to the windows subsystem for the Linux command line. I was like, oh ok, that's how I can go to Linux.

It was actually cool to be able to use wsl right from inside the virtual studio code. This way, I can do python stuff, run it, debugs, or whatever and then can just go to Linux terminal and try it there too. You can also do other usual Linux stuff like update and upgrade.

Windows Subsystem for Linux: Tactics, Mindset, and Tips

I didn't show it in the youtube demo video I uploaded but you can also play Linux command line games too. Being able to learn coding in python and at the same time using Linux from right inside the Microsoft editor is really useful for me.

Yeah, I'll still just use the wsl or python thonny editor separately for trying out or checking quick stuff. If I'm really getting into it, I'll then open up the visual studio code. The studio code is not just for python. If you're working on other stuff like Ruby, C#, or whatever, they have it all!

Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con - HAC-001(-01)

I'm actually also learning coding with SmileBASIC 4 (website) and FUZE 4 (website) on my Nintendo switch lite. It's almost like python. Just the coding and keywords are different. There was a game that also includes a Ruby editor. But, Nintendo discovers it and the game dev had to delete it.

It will actually be fun to be able to use the Ruby editor on my switch lite. It's so powerful that even Nintendo banning the game. That's really a bummer. It would have been a good way for people to learn about coding with Ruby. Money is not everything, Nintendo!

Well, there's so much you can do to have fun!
