You'll only be able to play the game on October 8, 2021. The physical or special edition is not available now. So, if you're the type that likes to buy the physical cartridge version, you'll have to wait.
I like buying a cartridge version but if I have the MicroSD card storage space, getting the digital version is cool too. No hassle having to take out the cartridge to play other games.
I downloaded the Monster Hunter Rise demo a couple of days ago. But, only decided to try out the game today. I've bought and played Monster Hunter Generations on my then-original Nintendo Switch. Although, I haven't played it for a while now.
Playing the game on my Nintendo Switch lite is pretty smooth. And, the graphics really look sharp and great. Mind you the lite screen is pretty small but it doesn't really matter. In fact, after a while, I really like it. I'm definitely going to get it when it's out.
The debut of the new “wirebug” mechanic allows for wire-based grappling actions that can be used to scale cliffs and other hard-to-reach areas, providing new traversal and aerial attack options.
The game will introduce magnamalo, a menacing new flagship monster, as well as other new monsters like the shape-shifting aknosom, the amphibious tetranadon, and more.
New hunting partners called palamutes can be personalized and used to ride across the terrain, providing players with all-new traveling and attack options.
In addition to the plethora of solo and multiplayer quests, the immersive story mode will task aspiring hunters with discovering the secrets behind the puzzling “rampage” events that threaten kamura village.
Play solo, or join up to three other hunters in local or online co-op play. The Nintendo Switch system also allows for hunting anywhere, anytime, and with anyone!
At the moment, I've tried out two characters with their own weapons and design. So far, I haven't found one that suits my playing style. Holding big weapons makes your movement kinda slow. But, there are ways to move faster.
During the battle, I keep forgetting to check my health and also to use the new feature "wirebug". You can use it to get closer to your enemy or to climb high up the hills or whatever. I haven't tried it out yet. I've only tried out the first 'easy' mission that I couldn't finish.
One thing about the demo game is that it seems like the full game. I like that I can immediately start to go hunting. I guess that's the core of the game. Finding a monster and killing it. But, it's not easy. The damn monster doesn't die easily.
In the full game, there's a story mode. I like playing RPG games with interesting stories. Love to explore the open world too. It's like being lost in your own world. I don't really like multiplayer as I'm only interested in enjoying the game the way I want to without being pestered.
Anyway, get the game if you're interested and download the demo from the Nintendo eShop to try out the game yourself. Definitely worth it. Also, to play such a huge game on the go is pretty cool. Especially, on a small handheld like the Nintendo Switch lite!

I told you guys that I was waiting for my Android 10.0 OS 10.1 Inch tablet with keyboard to arrive but, it seems to disappear to nowhere. Luckily, I managed to cancel the order and the seller accepted it without any problem.
I was definitely disappointed as I was planning to test how good it is as a laptop replacement. Frankly, looking at the specs, it seems too good to be true. It offers 10GB RAM and 512GB rom for storage all just for $200+?
I look around if there's any other tablet offer that interests me but to no avail. Today, while browsing through the products, I saw the GPD XD Plus. I've seen this before as it's part of the GPD line of product offers. But, I wasn't really interested.
I'm not interested in Android gaming and also I already have tons of retro gaming consoles. But, then I thought, hey, can I install Termux (wiki) and then Ubuntu Linux on it via Andronix? If the GPD+ has Bluetooth, maybe I can pair and use a keyboard and mouse too.
Again, I can use this Android gaming console like a laptop. If only they had better specs. Also, would be cool if they put another screen below or a touchpad. That'll be pretty useful to move around the menu and screen.
The screen is only 5 inch but you can link it to a Tv or an external monitor. So, you can use it on the go and also set it up at home like an entertainment system. You can listen to music, watch youtube, or social media. And I definitely can check my emails, unlike my Nintendo Switch lite.
The difference between the GPD XD Plus and GPD MicroPC is the price and the OS aka operating system. Like I've said before if you want something light, Android is the way to go. Of course, you can't play your collection of STEAM games.
If I want something that can play PC games, I'll go for the GPD WIN MAX. That'll be my ultimate mini gaming laptop on the go. The best thing is that it's also a laptop but with an integrated controller. You can use it for school or for work.
The GPD XD Plus will suffice for a cheap budget. I actually do like some Android games especially those that have controller support. I also have tons of retro games collections. I also like that I can watch youtube on it. Now, you can't watch youtube on a 3DS or PS Vita. Which kinda sucks.
I can also watch youtube on my Nintendo Switch lite but besides gaming, it's the only thing that I can do on it. I like a device that can do it all. Some may just want a gaming console but I find that very limiting. Also, I like to try out stuff if I could.
One guy (I'm assuming) commented on my youtube video that he likes that I always seem to think outside the box. While other so-called 'influencers' mostly promote products, I practically play with it and try out stuff on it like adding a keyboard and mouse which nobody seems to think of.
Like I've said before, I don't like limiting a product to just one way of using it. People nowadays multi-task. People just don't game on their device but as a complete entertainment and social media system. Granted, the cost might affect the final product.
I also see that product designing might be affected too. Like, adding a second screen or a camera for video calling. How bout using a USB c instead for power and connecting accessories? You can definitely improve the GPD XD Plus but will it increase the pricing?
Let's see if there's an evolution of the product!

I've been checking the eShop these past few days hoping that I'll be able to download Apex Legends a little earlier. But, as announced, it's finally available on 9th March. I didn't waste any time downloading the Free-to-play version of the game on my Nintendo Switch lite.
I also informed my nephew about it. I've actually never played the game before. My nephew was the one that downloaded the game on my PC and playing it. I wasn't really interested. But, I got really excited when I found out it'll be available for the Switch.
Free-to-play multiplayer shooter games are pretty much all the same. Only the world and the characters are different. That's why I wasn't really interested to play the game on PC. But, if it's available for a portable console like the Nintendo Switch, that's where I'm curious.
Everyone was curious when they first announced games like Skyrim and Doom coming to the Nintendo Switch. How good is it to play on a small handheld? Are the graphics good and the gameplay smooth? Well, now there are more triple-A games coming that I'm actually running out of storage to install!
Talking about storage, at first I saw that you need 30GB to install the game. But, was surprised that it's gone down to only 18GB. Maybe, they managed to trim the game size, somehow. The other day, one commenter laugh at the idea of buying a 512GB MicroSD card for the Nintendo Switch.
I replied that even with 512GB, it's not enough. I guess it depends on the type of gamer you are. If you're like me, like to buy and download a lot of games, even 512GB is not enough. If you're like my nephew who only interested in a few games, maybe 128 or 256GB is more than enough.
Another thing is that I was right when I post on my blog a few weeks ago talking about more free-to-play games coming to the Nintendo Switch. Two games that I'm still waiting for are Call of Duty and Dirt racing. The franchise has yet to announce that it'll be available for the Switch.
I'm not sure what's the reason is but I feel like they're a little snobbish because they think the Nintendo Switch is not worth it. They're not even considering porting the COD Mobile to the switch when every other free-to-play FPS game is already ported.
Well, it's their loss. It's kinda funny they're resisting when other triple-A is already available. I'm glad that Apex Legends finally arrived. Hopefully, more android mobile FTP shooter games will come over as there are actually some that I really like.
Especially, great for my handheld console the Nintendo Switch lite!

The Asus ROG Gaming phone 3 is out now and it seems really popular. But, this got me thinking about the difference between a gaming phone and my Nintendo Switch lite. I have actually kinda done an Asphalt 9 Legends gameplay comparison video before but it's between my Samsung Note 10+ and my original Nintendo Switch.
The Samsung Note 10+ is not marketed as a gaming phone but it can play basically any mobile games out there. It got the latest CPU and GPU to play any console-like games that are available. Although, it does get hot especially when playing a graphic-intensive game like Grid Autosport. One time, the phone killed the game because it was getting too hot.
I was actually doing some testing playing the game using Microsoft Your Phone App on my PC monitor. I didn't look out for the heat so, maybe I had pushed it too much. After that happened, I went on looking for an external mobile radiator fan or a cooling fan. I never thought I'll need one as I don't really game that long.
As a gaming phone, Asus ROG claims to have a cooling system internal and external that will help cool your phone down when gaming. I don't have their phone, so, I'm not sure how good they are but they also have one of the best gaming laptops with new liquid metal cooling. So, that could boost your confidence about their products.
The Nintendo Switch is a portable gaming console. It's not a phone. You can't make calls, take pictures or videos, and share them online. Yes, you can take short game clips and pictures. But, only internally. It does come with a controller and playing games to me is much better on the Nintendo Switch and now my Nintendo Switch lite.
The one thing I hate most about mobile gaming is the games and the lack of game controller support. Yes, there are console-level graphics games for the mobile but they're mostly touch-control games. They're also not a full triple-A type of game. Meanwhile, a lot of triple-A games are already available like the latest Persona 5 Strikers, NBA 2K21, and others.
Another thing I hate about mobile games is that you need internet access to play the game. Why? Because they need the advertising money. Yes, it's free-to-play but if you can't play with Wifi or data connection, you're screwed. I end up playing old retro games on my Nintendo DS lite. I didn't have a Nintendo Switch that time.
Talking about the controller, it actually cost almost a gaming laptop which is around $2k just to get all the complete accessories. Yes, pretty expensive. It's also actually kinda a hassle to put on a retractable controller every time you want to play a game. Unlike my Nintendo Switch lite, every time I have the itch to play Asphalt 9 Legends, I just pick it up choose the game, and play.
They do have some cool accessories like the TwinView dock 3. It definitely looks like my 3DS XL. I like the idea of a dual-screen phone that would make multi-tasking easier. The ability to game on the top screen while video-calling your friend on the bottom screen. Browsing the internet while watching youtube on either screen.
As I've said before the mobile phone today is like a computer, so you'll be using it as a computer. For work and for play. While the Nintendo Switch is a dedicated portable gaming console. I've seen people playing games on one mobile while talking to someone on another mobile. In the end, why not get a portable gaming console like the Nintendo Switch for gaming while your phone for what it's meant for. A phone.
A Nintendo Switch is only almost cost a quarter of a gaming phone. An expensive gaming phone that doesn't have triple-A games. Unless you're the type like to play games that my mother plays like those puzzle 3 gems game. I'm not even sure if you can use the controller to play popular mobile games like Call of Duty or PUBG mobile.
Add to that insult is the need for an 'app' to remap your buttons. Which, you actually have to buy to be able to use the full features. I'm not going to pay to use a freaking controller to play a freaking mobile game. Games should have outright come with controller support. In the past, I used to look for games that look like it has controller support but end up doesn't. I deleted all of them. A waste of my time.
I finally give up and get myself a Nintendo Switch lite (sold my original to my nephew). I can play triple-A games and even mobile games too. Now, there are already a few free-to-play games available which I actually enjoyed playing on my mobile like Asphalt 9 Legends. I don't mind them as long as you can play with a controller.
I still like the gaming phone technology though. Maybe, one day, I can dock a gaming phone and play a real triple-A game with a mouse and keyboard instead of just a 3 gems game. If they still keep treating the phone as just for casual gaming or a phone then no point in making a gaming phone. I bought a Razer gaming phone once, and now they don't even sell it anymore. Maybe, there's a reason why?
Frankly, the mobile gaming phone tech might actually be better than my Nintendo Switch lite. But, playing real games on a portable gaming console like the Switch is definitely much more enjoyable and stress-free. Even my nephew is a believer and he was actually the one that pushes me to buy a Nintendo Switch. It's all because he can play FIFA18 on the go back when it was first available to the switch.

I just found out the other day that Apex Legends is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2021!
To be frank, I have never played the game. Because I don't like this kind of game. Where you walk around, get all your cool setups, and then a few mins later you die from a snipe or someone from behind you. Wtf!
I do like deathmatch though. Which is much better because if you die, you get to respawns and kill that idiot who killed you in the first place. I have seen my nephew played this game on my computer before. He didn't even ask me if he could download it.
I have bought and played Overwatch for the Nintendo Switch. I guess Apex Legends is basically the same. There may be a difference here and there. But to me, they're all the same. You can check out my Overwatch gameplay here. I put in the background song by RATM.
Today's game needs a lot of storage space. You definitely need to get a big MicroSD card. Currently, I'm using a 512GB MicroSD but I'm already left with around 100GB. That's why I'm thinking of getting a 1TB. If not, I'll have to start deleting or archiving some of the games I seldom play.
Heck, if there's any bigger storage size MicroSD card, I would get it. Hopefully, the price will go down of course. The more common it becomes. Would be much better if Nintendo sells a Nintendo Switch with an internal SSD or 1 or 2 TB of storage. Wouldn't that be better?
For some reason, I kinda feel excited about Apex Legends coming to the Nintendo Switch. If you have read my blog post a couple of weeks ago or was it a few days ago. I see that a lot of Free-to-play games are coming to the Switch.
Like I've said, I've bought and played Overwatch on the Nintendo Switch even though I have never played it on a computer. It's the same thing as Apex Legends. I've never played it on a computer or console but because it's coming to the Switch, I'm definitely going to get it now.
The Nintendo Switch is definitely becoming one of the best portable gaming consoles. Now you can play games like Apex Legends on the go. Okay, you'll need good wifi connections. That's why I think if you have your mobile 5G data connections, you can use it with your Switch.
There's also news that Apex Legends will be coming to mobile phones. Tell you what, a Nintendo Switch is a much better gaming console and it's much cheaper than a gaming phone. For starters, it already comes with a controller. For obvious reasons, gaming with a controller is much more fun!
Also, if you use your phone for works, social media, or even for making calls, you won't want to drain your phone battery in case of an emergency. That's why the Nintendo Switch is a much better portable gaming option. I'll blog about it maybe in my next post. Meantime, get the game now (pre-order)!

Since that day, where my Samsung Note 10+ device app popup message said, it's going to kill the game Grid Autosport because my phone was getting too hot. I decided to look for a mobile phone cooling fan. But, I didn't just want any cooling fan. I want something that can also be used with my Nintendo Switch lite.
Well, I look at the cooling fan for the Nintendo Switch and I'm surprised how ugly and awkward they look. While I find the design for the mobile phone cooling fan is more stylish and even had cool lighting effects. It's like the designer doesn't care much about the Nintendo Switch. As long as it works.
I finally decided to buy a mobile cooling fan that used suction cups to attach to the phone. As most mobile cooling fan witch clamps are a bit too small for my Nintendo Switch lite. This way, I can use it both on my mobile phone and my Switch lite.
Of course, there are several designs which I can choose from. Some need external power, while some have a rechargeable battery. It's kinda a hassle to have to use an external power bank so, I bought one with rechargeable capability.
If you do a search for the mobile cooling fan, you'll find many for the mobile phone. Maybe because the Nintendo Switch is only a few years old. So, there aren't many companies that are making especially for the Switch. Although, the Nintendo Switch does get pretty warm while gaming.
Like I've said earlier. it's because I got that message warning on my phone that I started to take notice of the need for a mobile cooling fan. Both for my phone and Switch lite. I actually also use a cooling pad for my laptop too. Definitely, it's much worse for gaming laptops.
I've talked about this before but, I'm hoping there'll be a better cooling fan for my Switch lite but with added features. Like a good case with a cooling fan and charging the battery. Yes, there a few out there but the design really sucks.
That's why I decided to get the mobile cooling fan version. Which looks much nicer. It's also pretty light and not too bulky. If it was a case, I would have bought it too. When I tried attaching the cooling fan, it actually feels nice to hold while gaming. Watch the unboxing video!
If I'm playing a mobile game or my Nintendo Switch lite, I'll normally face the fan. So, the fan is actually keeping both me and the devices pretty cool. I think the fan wind was blocked by my desktop PC on my table and my phone didn't cool down fast enough in between my game testing.
It was the first time, I had that kind of popup message about my phone being too hot. Lucky for me, Samsung has a device care app. I don't know what will happen if I had kept on playing. I wasn't holding it. I put it on a phone holder. So, I wouldn't have to notice how hot it was.
Now, I''m an advocator of the mobile cooling fan and I advise you to get one. For any kind of gaming phone or portable console. Especially, if you notice it getting hotter. There are many kinds of fan and cooling system that would save your device from potential burning. Just like those cases of mobile phone that caught fire while you're charging and using at the same time.
