Nintendo Switch lite - How similar is SmileBASIC4 to Python?

Nintendo Switch Lite - Blue

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I like dabbling with Python since the day, I bought myself a Raspberry pi 3. I was interested in building my own smart car robot and they use python to control it. The good thing is that there are many tutorials online that you can easily follow.

Frankly, I had always wanted to learn to code but didn't get the chance to. When I first heard of the Raspberry pi, I didn't really think much about it. But when I saw that you can create your own smart robot, I decided to get one. That's how I discovered Python and found out how easy it is to learn.

Nintendo Switch Lite - Blue

One of the problems for me is that I don't have the discipline to keep learning. It's not as if I have to take a test for it. But, I like to try out new things and see if I can make them work. It's that eureka feeling that got me excited.

My favorite portable gaming console is the Nintendo Switch lite. When I discovered that I can learn to code and create my own games with SmileBASIC4 and FUZE4, I was really excited and bought both of them. I got more excited when I discovered that smilebasic and python are so much alike.

If you have the Nintendo Switch, you can link to your TV for a bigger screen. It'll be much better for a full coding setup. You can't do that with the Switch lite. So, most of the time, I just try out code on my bed before going to sleep. But, I can still use a mouse and keyboard if I want to.

You can actually game with a mouse and keyboard on the Nintendo Switch but you need a console adapter. With that adapter, you can connect a mouse and keyboard and play like on a computer. This is the same kind of adapter that's also compatible with your Xbox and PS4.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit -Luigi Set - Nintendo Switch Luigi Set Edition

I wonder if someone in Nintendo had actually read my blog. Because I have talked about using my Nintendo Switch to control my raspberry pi 3 smart car before. And, now, they've come out with this? I'm also hoping that there will be a Mario Drone or something like that. You hear it here first!

Now, that will be really cool. Playing Mario or Luigi or Princess drone racing. Would be fun to be able to take videos while you're flying. Of course, you need a good camera, which the Switch doesn't have. I don't know why there is a camera on the 3DS but no camera on the switch?

Coding Games in Python (Computer Coding for Kids)

I actually didn't know or did I? That smilebasic for the 3DS was already available back then. I was wondering if the software is available so that I can use it on my phone with an emulator. Lo and behold! Now, I can use smilebasic 3ds on my phone. Check out my video demo here.

What I like about python is that you can use it practically anywhere. I have a version of it on my phone so that, I can try code whenever I've got an idea. Or if I've learned something new and want to try it out. That's what so great about the smartphone today. It's a powerful mini-computer inside your pocket!

Samsung Electronics Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G | Factory Unlocked Android Cell Phone | 256GB Storage | US Version Smartphone Tablet | 2-in-1 Refined Design, Flex Mode | Mystic Black (SM-F916UZKAXAA)

That's why, if I have the money and it's becoming cheaper, I want to get the Samsung Z Fold 2 or future Z Fold 3? I want to open it up halfway and use it as a laptop. Open it up fully and you can use it as a tablet. This is pretty much the future of mobile phone laptops.

What more do you need when you can practically do everything with a mobile phone? You can play games, check emails, social media, take pictures or videos, edit them and upload them on youtube to share with the world or just with your colleagues.

I want Samsung or Microsoft to expand on this idea and create the perfect blend of mobile phone laptops. They need to improve and think of new innovations for a mobile phone that can be close and use as a phone or open up and use as a laptop or tablet.

Once they have that, it'll be way cool to use Visual Studio, the Android version.

Sony Cyber-shot DSCH50 9.1 MP Digital Camera 15x Optical Zoom Super Steady Shot!

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400 Digital Camera (Black) with 16GB Accessory Bundle

Hey guys,

Check it out!

My bro-in-law just gave me an old Sony Cyber-shot DSCH50 9.1 MP Digital Camera with 15x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot. I search around and found out this came out in 2008. Whoa, that's a pretty long time ago!

Actually, my bro-in-law got it from his younger brother. He's not interested in photography, so he decided to give it to me. I was pretty excited as it still looks in a pretty good condition. Well, the outside. The lens needs to be clean from the inside and there's a whirring sound after a while of usage.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400 Digital Camera (Black) with 16GB Accessory Bundle

The good thing is that it has a 32MB Sony Memory Stick Duo inside and two batteries. The original seems to have a problem re-charging. I know 32MB is pretty small. I'm only able to take a few pictures and at least one short video.

The camera even has a night shot, which is kinda cool. I dig through my old stuff and managed to find an old card reader that's compatible with my current PC USB. That means I can transfer and saved the video and pictures from the memory stick.

SmartQ C368 USB 3.0 Multi-Card Reader, Plug N Play, Apple and Windows Compatible, Powered by USB, Supports CF/SD/SDHC/SCXC/MMC/MMC Micro, etc.

I'm pretty much a newbie and have never owned a digital camera before. I've always wanted one though. I'm interested in taking moon pictures and videos. So, I've been aiming to get the Nikon Coolpix P900 or P1000.

I read yesterday that there might be a P1100. Hopefully, it'll offer much better and sharper moon pictures. People also seem to complain about the quality of the pictures in low light or when taking normal pictures. Personally, I hope for an all-rounder. For the amount of money, you expect it to do everything right?

COOLPIX P950 Compact Digital Camera with 83x Optical Zoom Super Telephoto Lens + Expo Premium Accessories Bundle

Anyway, since I've now got the camera, I can use it for practice. The Sony Cybershot itself is not a bad camera. I actually really like it. It's not that heavy and fits right in my small hands. The buttons to access the features on the right (right-hander) are easy to reach and learn.

Even a newbie like me can quickly learn how to use the camera. Okay, I mostly set everything on Auto. I'm kinda lazy to fiddle with the settings. I'm more interested in taking quick good photos or videos instead of having to dabble just to get that one good shot.

Panasonic LUMIX FZ80 4K Digital Camera, 18.1 Megapixel Video Camera, 60X Zoom DC VARIO 20-1200mm Lens, F2.8-5.9 Aperture, Power O.I.S. Stabilization, Touch Enabled 3-Inch LCD, Wi-Fi, DC-FZ80K (Black)

Nowadays, people are used to using their phones to take pictures and videos. It's quick and easy. You can take quick photos or videos and then upload them to social media instantly. That's why the camera maker today needs to catch up to that instant gratifications.

You need wifi or data connection ability. Maybe, some quick software editing on the camera itself. I'm a Youtuber, so I'm used to taking videos on my phone or iPad, edit them, putting background music or effects, and then upload. All done on my phone or iPad without the hassles of data transfer like the old days.

I managed to get these moon pictures yesterday using the Sony Cybershot. 9.1MP and around 25+ digital zoom (can't go any further on auto settings) and trying out some of the standard features for different shots.

I actually have a good view of the moon from my 4th-floor apartment kitchen and have tried using my Samsung Note 10+ camera to take the moon pictures but I won't get these kinds of pics. It'll only come out far and blur. That's why I want a good camera like the p1000 zooming capability.

If you watch some moon videos taken with a camera on youtube, there'll always be people who tell you to get a telescope. The thing is, you can also use a camera to take normal pictures and videos. A telescope is only meant for checking out the stars. Duh!

Kodak PIXPRO Astro Zoom AZ901-BK 20MP Digital Camera with 90X Optical Zoom and 3" LCD (Black)

I like taking cool pictures and a good zooming camera that can take sharp pictures even way far out is pretty awesome to me. If you're a nature lover or who likes to travel the world, a good camera is of course a plus.

Heck, I don't even have to travel far out as I can take the moon pictures right from my kitchen and also beautiful, busy birds outside my house. I've been wanting to take pictures or videos of them and now, since I have a pretty good Sony Cybershot camera, I might just do that.

I need to clean the dirty lens and get a bigger memory stick duo storage first though.

Sunday Retro Fun with Apple II Emulator!

Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020: Intel Core i7-10750H 6-Core, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 15.6" FHD 1080p 120Hz, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, CNC Aluminum, Chroma RGB Lighting, Thunderbolt 3, Black

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've always been interested in computers since I was a kid. The first time, I touch a computer was in a military show in the mid-80s. I think I went straight to the computer booth a second time with my family. I'm not sure but I think, the first time was with my school class.

Even though it was my first time, it felt natural. I forget all about it until after my Army stint and I got a job with a government department. That's where I get to learn to use the computer for work and for play. It was such a fun time working there.

Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming Laptop 2020: Intel Core i7-10750H 6-Core, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 15.6" FHD 1080p 120Hz, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, CNC Aluminum, Chroma RGB Lighting, Thunderbolt 3, Black

I just remembered that we actually have computer class when I went to a technical school to learn automotive engineering. But, I didn't really learn anything as the teacher only let us play games. And, we had to share so, I didn't get to do much.

I've actually worked in an Apple factory before and back then, I was pretty impressed with the video capability. It was such a long time ago, I don't even remember what kind of Apple computer it was. Everything is a blur to me right now. One time I met an Apple fanboy that won't touch a PC. Now, that's hardcore. Lol.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus S Ultra Slim Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 144Hz IPS Type, Intel i7-8750H Processor, GeForce GTX 1070 8GB, 24GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD, Military-Grade Chassis, Windows 10 Home - GX531GS-AH78

The only interesting part of my life was when I get to own a computer. That was when I really dabbled with everything that I need to know about it. I remember having to reformat my computer a dozen times because I fcked it up so bad. That's what you call learning by trial and error. Haha!

Frankly, there are things that I know now that I wish I had learned during that early days. That's why I love emulators. With emulators, I get to re-discover things that I should have done differently all those years ago. Best of all, I get to try out an old operating system that I didn't get the chance to play with.

Eluktronics MECH-15 G3 Ultra Performance 15.6" Gaming Laptop PC: Liquid Metal Intel i7-10875H NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 QHD 165Hz Calibrated Display Windows 10 Home 2TB NVMe SSD 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM

Gaming is part of everyone's life growing up and me too, no less. But, I grew up in a poor, broken family that doesn't even have a house of our own until later on in our life. I remember playing games in a neighbor's or friend's house and at a small arcade shop.

The only thing that sticks with me is how sore my thumbs were. Being a kid during the early days of gaming and computer time means, there are things that I didn't get the chance to learn or play with. Like I've said, that's why I freaking love emulators.

The thing I really LOVE most is the laptop. The first time, I saw a laptop, I knew I want one. Don't exactly remember where I actually first saw one though. I only remember I had to sell my soul to get it. Somehow, I managed to get my hands on several different brands throughout the years.

Like they say, if you want something badly, you'll get it hooked or by crooked. Nowadays, you can easily get to enjoy all the glory of the past and probably the future. You have a computer right in your pockets. And, emulators are also available for them.

ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 15.6" QHD Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - 1TB SSD - Eclipse Grey - Eclipse Grey

I guess I have to thanks the genius that created them for us oldie lovers. One thing I hope is that maybe the companies can do a retro build of their machine for the future gens. I'll love to get my hands on the early Apple I or II. Heck, I still have diskettes of files from the 90s.

Wish, I didn't throw away or sold my old PC and laptops. I still keep lots of old diskettes, CDs, thumb drives of games, and software (mostly copyrights). The thing is, because of emulators, lots of the files I saved back then are now easily available online. :p

Check out archive.org full of emulators, games, and old software. Pretty cool!

My Friend Ask Me To Recommend Laptop for His Children Usage

New Precision 7550 AI-Ready Data Science Workstations Laptop 10th Gen i9-10885H 8 Core 5.30 GHz vPro 15.6" UHD Non-Touch Quadro RTX 5000 16GB Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 5G LTE (12TB SSD|128GB RAM)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

So, my ex-colleague WhatsApp me this morning basically asking me to recommend a laptop for his children. He said that their current laptop lags and what brand am I using right now. I actually just bought myself an HP laptop last year. Did an unboxing video and blogging about it.

You can watch my HP laptop unboxing video here. Surprisingly, the video got a lot of views. The weird thing is that most of the viewers are from India. I know because some of them asked me questions in the Indian language. Most of them are probably students.

New Precision 7550 AI-Ready Data Science Workstations Laptop 10th Gen i9-10885H 8 Core 5.30 GHz vPro 15.6" UHD Non-Touch Quadro RTX 5000 16GB Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 5G LTE (12TB SSD|128GB RAM)

I asked my friend a couple of questions about their laptops. Like, what's the CPU and GPU, or how many rams it has. As, probably, they can just upgrade the rams if it's only 2GB or 4GB. I'm assuming they're using an old low-end spec laptop.

I don't really have any favorite brand though. I have used many computer brands throughout the years and they're all basically the same. Even Apple products will start to give you problems in the later stage. Right now, my iPad 10 pro seems to start to lag. I feel it's because of the bloated iOS updates.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Anime Matrix Gaming and Entertainment Laptop (AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS 8-Core, 24GB RAM, 4TB PCIe SSD, NVIDIA RTX 2060 Max-Q, 14.0" QHD (2560x1440), WiFi, Win 10 Home) with Hub

If I have the money, I'll want to get the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 Anime Matrix gaming laptop. With the latest AMD Ryzen 9 and RTX graphics. Now, that's what I call a high-end gaming laptop. Asus, been saying they have the latest liquid metal cooling system, I wonder how good is it.

Heat is always the main problem for a gaming system. Be it my Nintendo Switch/Switch lite, Powkiddy X18 Android gaming console, the Xbox, PS5, or even my Samsung Note 10+. My Note 10+ system app actually had to close the game Grid Autosport because it was over-heating.

2021 HP 15.6" FHD Touchscreen Laptop Computer, 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, HD Audio, HD Webcam, Intel Iris Plus Graphics, Bluetooth, Windows 10, Silver, 32GB SnowBell USB Card

When getting a laptop, it primarily depends on your budget. I'm not sure what's my friend budget is but, if you want something for the kids that could last them for years, get the best specs that you can afford. Minimum 8GB ram, i5-i7, 256-1TB SSD, and a good webcam.

Nowadays, because of the pandemic, your kids need a good webcam. The Intel Iris or AMD Radeon mobile graphics are good enough for some low-mid range gaming. I'm not sure how old my friend kids are but I don't think they do hardcore gaming. If they do, the price might go way up just for the GPU.

2021 Acer Aspire 3 15.6" FHD Laptop Computer, 10th Gen Intel Quad-Core i5-1035G1, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD, Intel UHD Graphics, Built-in Webcam, HDMI, Windows 10, Black, 32GB SnowBell USB Card

The design is actually important for me too. Although, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's also good that the laptop of today is getting slimmer and lighter too. The problem with that is sometimes everything is integrated into the motherboard that you're pretty much stuck with the specs.

Samsung has even designed and boasted a laptop that's like the mobile phone today. The specs aren't that bad either. Although, I'm not sure about the gaming aspect. I don't know why they like to hide the Intel GPU. You have to search through everything to finally find it.

It's always good to look out for great sales offer though. That's how I got my HP laptop. It got a standard webcam, touch ID for logging on to your laptop. 15.6" screen and a full backlit keyboard with a keypad. Mine is an AMD Ryzen 7 with Radeon RX Vega 10 mobile graphics.

I also got a minimum of 8GB DDR4 Ram and 512GB SSD for storage. Got it for around USD$640. Pretty much a budget purchase. If I'm to recommend my friend, it'll be this specs-wise laptop.

earth pak- Original Waterproof Dry Bags for The Adventures!

Earth Pak -Waterproof Dry Bag - Roll Top Dry Compression Sack Keeps Gear Dry for Kayaking, Beach, Rafting, Boating, Hiking, Camping, and Fishing with Waterproof Phone Case

Hey guys,

Quick promo!

I saw this waterproof Dry Bag on Amazon and think it's kinda cool. It's great for the adventurer's type or even if you just want to go to the beach. One important thing that I see that they don't promote is the bag color, especially the yellow one.

If you like going hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating, or whatever, in time of emergency, that yellow color is bright enough to grab rescuers' attention. From high above, people searching on helicopters can distinctly notice it. That's what you want.

Of course, we don't want to attract unnecessary attention to ourselves. Just remember that shit can and will happen. So, I'm just giving a reminder that a bright color bag, might help you get located in times of emergency. Other than that, this bag looks cool enough, even for everyday usage.

Another thing I like about this design, how easy it is to clean it. Just wipe away the sands, muds, or whatever on its smooth surfaces. Since it's waterproof, you can clean it without worrying about it being wet on the inside. Pretty nifty, don't you think?
