Hey guys,

Check it out!

I love the Dirt series racing game and one of them is Dirt Showdown. I've been wanting to do a live gaming stream of the game and finally did it. I've done a couple of other live gaming streams before but this time, I also wanted to try out the chat feature too.

I know, I should have put a schedule first but like I said, it's kind of a test for the chat feature and also I'm not sure which is the best time to stream. Especially, if you're not sure what's the timezone for other countries. It was also at the spur of the moment to stream.

The other day, I did a quick research on how to stream gameplay and putting a video of myself playing on my HP laptop. I think, having multiple monitors is useful. You need a window for your gameplay and another monitor to control your streaming.

It's a little cramp if you only using one monitor for everything. It definitely was, if I wanted to stream from my laptop. Also, since my laptop is not a gaming laptop and only has AMD Radeon Rx Vega 10 mobile graphics and 8GB of Ram, the Mass Effects game I was playing, lag badly.

If you have the money or a professional streamer, the Asus ROG Zephyrus DUO SE with a second monitor would be perfect. Although, if I'm not wrong, they don't include a webcam for video calling or streaming. That means you'll have to get an external streaming webcam.

For something that's pretty expensive, why didn't they include a webcam? One of their video commenters noted that especially in a pandemic where it's obviously needed. Well, somebody asked about the camera on their store page and it's confirmed the laptop doesn't have it. Weird.

I'm already using 3 monitors for my desktop setup. But, I don't have an external webcam. Never thought I needed one. I might get one if I'm going to do streaming. When I'm using my laptop, I kinda miss how I can multi-task on separate monitors.

That's when I realized how useful the portable monitor is. I actually bought my first portable monitor for my Samsung S10+. The Samsung Dex with using the Dex pad or just a USB C cable to turn your mobile phone into a computer.

What I like about using the portable monitor is that you can use a USB cable to power it. You can plug it into your laptop or computer USB port. It also doesn't use a lot of power. But, it's better to get one that uses a USB C cable instead of the mini USB.

My latest portable monitor uses a USB C to connect to power and it has no problem starting up. While the other one that uses the mini USB cable is very sensitive and turns on and off by itself pretty often. That's why I'm advocating that every device should be standardized to use the USB C. It's more stable.

I really like to try the Asus Duo gaming laptop. Not just because there's the latest one with RTX 30 series graphic cards but to check out the second monitor. If you're a multi-tasker, a second monitor is pretty useful. It definitely, be useful for streaming since you'll have a 2nd monitor for control or chat.

Again, they need to include a webcam. Streaming, especially on the go is pretty useful. That is if you can find a good wifi connection of course. You also don't want to have to add more accessories to your already heavy laptop.

I also like to connect my mobile phone to my laptop and desktop and it's useful to have them on separate windows. So, I can do my stuff on the main screen while at the bottom, I can reply to my Whatsapp or check out FB and Twitter notifications. Pretty nifty!
