Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've been talking about and promoting the Asus ROG gaming laptop since last year. It's all because of their latest cool ROG Zephyrus G14 with Anime Matrix. Gaming laptop design is as important to me as much as the specs. That goes for other products too.

One of my favorite gaming laptops that I actually owned was the Alienware M14x. It has a cool design with the latest specs and I was able to play most triple-A games on it. Although, it started to lag after a few years. I even send it for servicing and upgrade the HDD. Finally, trade it for a PS VITA and some games.

You can check out my old Alienware M14x gaming laptop gameplay here on my youtube channel. Of course, you can't compare it to the more powerful gaming laptops today. And, MSI is one of those companies that offer several versions of it.

Frankly, I haven't really seen any of MSI's latest gaming laptops. So, MSI marketing department, if you happen to read my blog, why don't you send me one. I'll definitely like to check out the design a bit closer and see how well it run games. Hehe!

MSI Stealth 15M Gaming Laptop: 15.6" 144Hz FHD 1080p Display, Intel Core i7-11375H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB, 512GB SSD, Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 6, Win10, Carbon Gray (A11UEK-009)

I have never owned a 17-inch size gaming laptop. I remember they were pretty big and bulky back then. They had a full keyboard with a number pad. The latest MSI 17.3 inch laptop looks pretty slim although the keyboard looks a little cramp.

My HP 15.6 AMD Ryzen 7 laptop has a full keyboard and it doesn't look as cramp as the MSI laptop. I also like the placement of my speakers which are located on top of the keyboard and pretty loud. One thing though, the arrow keys are pretty small. Kinda difficult to play racing games using them.

My HP laptop is not a gaming laptop. It only has the Radeon RX Vega 10 integrated mobile graphics. But, I really like the light and slim design. So, I will always compare it to other laptops. My laptop also has a fingerprint sensor. Nowadays, with the gaming laptop price, they should also have it.

I didn't really care about fingerprint sensors on laptops in the past. But, after using it, now I simply love it. It's really fast to login. Unlike, in the past. I don't think MSI has them. They might want to include that in future designs.

I also like the webcam camera. I don't know why Asus decide to go away with them. Especially, during a pandemic time when people use them for checking up with their friends, families, and even video-conferencing with colleagues.

My HP laptop has a front 720p camera so it's pretty good. But, the pics aren't good in the dark. I also used to take videos for my youtube channel. The laptop should always have a webcam. Front and back. With people making youtube videos nowadays, wouldn't it be useful for them to use it to take at least 1080p videos?

Ok, nobody is going to walk around taking videos with their laptop (what if it's a folding laptop?). But, if you're going to use it when you're at home or for certain circumstances when you're out and about? Anyway, MSI now has the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and I really want to know how good it is for gaming and maybe for my recording and video editing. And, where's the AMD version?

In the end, though, everyone has their own design preferences and budgets. So, it's really up to you.
