Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've always been enamored by laptops. My first Pc was way back in 1995, I think. My first contact with a computer was in the 80s. It was on a military show. It has a black screen with green text. I pretty much hogged it till someone at the back cry out loud about it behind me.

For some reason, I felt really comfortable playing with a computer. It's like it was meant to be (cue heavenly music). After my military service, I got a job as a civil servant and had the chance to learn to use a computer. I learned pretty fast. Being young might have help.

I only really learned about a computer inside out once I got myself one. Yes, it was pretty expensive back then. I got one with an installment plan. After work, I'll always stop by a book store because they have a computer section.

I went there almost every day. Looking for something interesting that I can use on my computer. Like the latest games, music, and videos. They were still using windows 3.1 and every time Microsoft has the latest OS, I'll upgrade. Everything was new and shiny back then, miss the old days!

Later on, I began to look at laptops and itching to get one for myself. They're pretty expensive and with installments interest, it almost doubled the cost. But, I didn't really care. To be able to use a portable computer on the go was too enticing for me.

I didn't just get one, I'll use it for a while, sell it and get another latest brand and design. By the time I discovered Alienware, they're promoting the M11x. Couldn't get it but I managed to get the M14x. Yup, my first ever gaming laptop!

I definitely test and played the heck out of it. You can check out some of the gameplay and other laptops that I've owned on my channel. Of course, back then Youtube didn't exist, so some of the earlier laptops I got weren't recorded. I don't think the smartphone even exist back then.

Feeling old yet? Kids nowadays don't know how good they're having with techs right now. They got their pappy and mommy to buy for them the latest smartphones and laptops. But, one thing for sure. Even though they're still expensive the tech is much more advanced.

At CES 2021, a lot of companies announced their latest gaming laptops with the latest Nvidia RTX 30 series. Now, some of them are already available on their main website and other online stores like Amazon. Specs-wise, they're basically all the same and pretty much depends on laptop design and budgets.

Asus claims to use a new kind of liquid-metal cooling and fan system for all their 2021 gaming laptop. I'll like to see how good it is. One of the main problems with my Alienware gaming laptop back then was the thermal cooling system and loud fans.

2021 Newest ASUS TUF Dash 15.6" Gaming Laptop, 240Hz FHD, Intel Core i7-11370H, Nvidia RTX 3070, 24GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 6, VR Ready, HDMI, Win10, Ghost Manta Accessories

Any of these laptops RTX 3080 laptop could do anything your throw at it. I don't mean just games. But the minimum ram will be 16GB. I read somewhere that DDR5 Rams will soon be available but I don't see it sold anywhere. Maybe, it's not ready yet. I think it's about time for the latest version.

My current gaming desktop specs which I bought a couple of years back has 16GB of Ram and GTX 1060 3GB. It still works great. I can record gameplay, edit it and upload it to my channel without any kind of hiccups. Not sure if it can play the latest games as I haven't bought any for a while now.

I'm just saying that nowadays, even if you buy a budget gaming laptop with a GTX graphics card it's already good enough. The worst is that you can just lower the resolution and set it to mid-high settings. My budget HP AMD Ryzen 7 laptop with Radeon RX Vega 10 can even play Dirt 4 but with lower resolutions and low-mid settings. Pretty cool!

Of course, if I have the money or sponsors, I'll want to try any of these RTX 3080 gaming laptops. Hopefully, some rich filthy company reading this post would want to sponsor me one. Yup, the itch is definitely still there. One last thing is that I suddenly wonder if next year, they'll come out with RTX 4000 series next?
