What I really love is the dual-screen. Frankly, at first, I thought this was a joke. But, after I've started using multiple monitors in my daily computer setup, I realized, it's actually pretty useful.
You can play games, watch youtube and use social media at the same time. I can blog, do research on Google, check my phone notifications, Whatsapp on the second screen just like my Pc setup. When I use my normal laptop, I actually miss this multiple-screen setup.

The specs are another thing to marvel at. The design is pretty cool too. I'm a sucker for good design. No matter if it's a mobile phone, gaming console, or laptop. Design is at the top of my requirement list!
I'll love to test this laptop and see how good it really is. In the picture, it looks pretty big and heavy. You don't want it to just stick to your desktop. Especially, since it's a portable pc.
If you have the dough, definitely recommended going for it. I'll be freaking jealous if you do. Lol!

It's a nice Saturday afternoon, although, it feels like Sunday. I thought I'll play Diablo III on my HP 15S AMD RYZEN 7 laptop with Radeon X Vega 10 integrated mobile graphics. I only played for a while. I don't really spend long hours gaming.
I decided to play the game again after checking my social media and emails. A few minutes in, I decided to record my gameplay, edit it and upload it on youtube. All done on my HP laptop. This time around, I didn't have any image freeze problem while editing.
I guess the other time when the video image froze, while I was editing, could be just a hiccup. Everything was smooth without any lags. I have confidence in the AMD Ryzen 7 processor but not so in the Radeon RX Vega 10 mobile graphics.
I went to a website to compare the Intel HD/UHD/Iris Plus benchmarks and the Vega 10 surprisingly passed most of them all. So, it's actually way much better than let's say the Intel HD 615 which can be found on Microsoft Surface Go.
I must say, I'm pretty interested in the latest Microsoft Surface Pro X. But, I don't know why they're so freaking expensive. With the kind of price, I'll rather get a gaming laptop. I'm actually interested in the surface pro 2-in-1 tablet design. Cause, I'm thinking of using it for taking videos like my iPad pro.
Currently, all my main videos for my youtube channel are taken and edited on my iPad pro. 99% of the time, I've had no problem like lag or stuttering. I'm even thinking of upgrading to the latest iPad Pro with the new M1 processors IF they have it.
I've actually got a quick look at the Apple M1 chip 13 inch and 16-inch laptop at an Apple store last month and I'm pretty impressed. They look so thin and even wonder if it's really a 16 inch. Before me, somebody must have opened all the windows so I closed them. Everything was fast and zippy.
I opened up the browser and went to visit my own blog to check how good it'll look. I was still using a dark background then. At least, my blog didn't show any weird problem on a mac. One with a new M1 processor at that. Wish I have the money to buy them. I'll test the heck out of it.
The gaming laptop that I really want though is the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 with AMD Ryzen 9 and the latest RTX graphics card. I wish they'll come out with a 15.6-inch version. I like my HP 15.6 inch screen size. It's much bigger than the usual 14 inches.
I also like the location of the speaker which is pretty loud for listening to music, watching movies, and of course gaming. Have to remember though that my HP 15S is not a gaming laptop. People keep asking me what games can they play on this laptop.
Even Diablo III on this laptop, the average frame rate is 16.3/s. Although, it might have dropped because I was recording. I didn't see any kind of lags though. But, my setting was on medium-high. I think I did lower the resolution. So it helps.
I might get myself a gaming laptop one day. Especially, if I see one that looks cool and has the specs to wow me.

My youtube video, doing an unboxing and a little demo of the HP 15s AMD Ryzen 7 with Radeon X Vega 10 graphics is getting a lot of views. Much faster than my usual other videos. And, I'm wondering why is that so.
I didn't buy this laptop just to make a video. I wasn't really looking for a laptop until I saw it on sale. I was actually more interested in the latest Asus Zephyrus G14 laptop. Especially, with the anime led lightings. That is pretty cool.
This is actually part of the reasons, I was interested in getting a laptop again. Not, necessarily a gaming laptop. Also, why I decided to get the Hp 15s, which has almost the same design as the G14. With its nice slick, silver color, keyboard palm rest top cover.
I wasn't sure that it has a backlit keyboard but it did. So, that's a plus. Also, the fingerprint login is actually useful and fast. Love the 15.6-inch FHD screen and also the full keyboard with a number pad. The surprise for me is the speaker. It sounds loud and clear. Great for Spotify and youtube music!
The Asus G14 laptop hoopla is what actually draws me to AMD Ryzen CPU. It has the latest Ryzen 9, which is equivalent, and report say better than the Intel i9. Anyway, I've been using intel CPU desktop and laptop since the 90s. So, a little change in 2020, aye?
I did buy an Acer laptop with AMD Radeon r5 m240 graphics a couple of years back. You can watch video gameplay here. Even then, it got lots of views. So, the interest in the AMD base laptop has always been there. As I've said, I have lost interest in gaming laptop since I sold off my Alienware m14x. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, Ryzen 9 has certainly driven the interest on AMD CPU. Although, I'm not sure about the graphics. My HP 15s Vega 10 graphics don't impress me. As I can't play my DIRT 4 on high. At first, I thought I can only play on ultra-low but after updating everything, now I'm able to play on medium. Even then, I had to lower some settings.
I actually like my HP 15s, 15.6-inch Ryzen 7 laptop. Everything runs pretty smoothly. No hiccups or lags whatsoever. Asus should think of coming out with a 15.6 version of the G14. I guess, they'll call it G15.6? I also like the full backlit keyboard with a number pad. I used to prefer small screen laptops, but after using the HP 15s, I'm loving it!
If you're wondering, why I'm not posting the same HP 15s laptop, that I bought here, it's because I couldn't find it anywhere on Amazon and even the HP main website. It's kinda weird as if, it never exists. Yet, I got it on offer.
So, I did the next best thing, finding something similar to recommend. I would definitely recommend the ASUS ROG G14 with the anime led lights if you have the dough. If you can wait, they might come out with a 15.6-inch version. I'm recommending base on the specs that I read, obviously.
The other Ryzen 7 laptop from other companies isn't that bad either. Almost, the same design as my HPs. AMD is definitely offering something different, better, and cheaper? Some of my youtube video viewers asked me if they should get it or which laptop is better that I'll recommend?
My advice or general rule is to get the highest specs possible that you can get within your budgets. Which can last a couple of years and not regretting it later. The design is mostly up to you. Everyone has their own preferences. An AMD base laptop is offering at a good price right now. So, look out for a bargain deal!

I'm using my HP 15s, AMD Ryzen 7 with Radeon X Vega 10 graphic laptop right now and I just want to update about it. I'm not typing using the laptop keyboard but on my RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK61 Wireless 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. This keyboard is really compact and portable. Not, as clicky as my Razer Chroma but that actually depends on what type of switch you choose. Mine is Brown. But, I should have chosen Blue for a more authentic click sound.
I still love it though. I don't actually need to use this keyboard. But, I thought I'll try using it with my laptop. I do love the laptop keyboard as it actually feels good typing on it. Almost, as good as typing on my Razer keyboard. Yes, I'm going to compare every keyboard that I'm using with it. It's like a benchmark for what a good keyboard is or should be. Although, my preferences could be different than yours.
One important update about the laptop is that, at first, I thought the Radeon X VEGA 10 integrated graphic card suckz. When I tried playing Dirt 4, it lags terribly. Although, I realized later that the STEAM game original settings were for my Aftershock gaming pc. Which has a GTX 1060 and 16gb of rams. After a couple of system updates and dabbling with the AMD Radeon Software, I can now play on custom Medium. Which is way better than the ultra-low settings.
Now, I know that the graphic is pretty good. I'm really happy with my purchase. What's more, I got this on a deal. I was actually, about to pay for it before finding out that they're going to reduce the price couple of days later. So, I decided to wait. But, if you have read my last few posts, I make the mistake of giving in to my emotion and thought I could get the Asus Zephyrus G14 on the cheap!
I'm really surprised at how many people watch my video on this laptop. I thought people will be more interested in the latest Ryzen 9 laptops. Apparently, ryzen 7 is also still popular. Maybe, because it's much cheaper than the latter. Also, I think, people like the new silver color and the laptop backlit keyboard. It really looks slick and modern. Unlike, the usual crazy gaming out-of-the-world design.
The design is so minimal and kinda, Zen-like. Oh yeah, I kept forgetting to mention the fingerprint login sensor on the bottom side of the number pad. It works with minimum fuss. I actually, don't really care about security but login in by just putting my finger on the sensor is so fast, I'm actually loving it. They have definitely improved on this technology.
I received a lot of questions regarding the laptop. One guy asked me where they can get it. Well, they can go to HP or check out via my Amazon links. The one, I got was an offer from my local online store. So, if you're from other countries, you'll have to check out your local stores. Especially, if you're looking for special prices. The store that I bought has stopped offering discounts on it.
Also, HP is not the only company that offers this kind of spec. You can see some of the other companies that also have laptops with different kinds of prices and specs. Really depends on your budgets and preferences. For me, I'll go for the highest specs that I can get from the budget I have. HP is not sponsoring me, so, I wouldn't care if you're buying from them.
If there's one laptop, I would recommend you to get (if you have the budget) is the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop. I myself am dreaming of getting it. Especially, with the anime led lighting at the back. That is way pretty cool. But, alas, I ain't rich, and if only Asus wants to sponsor me. Asus, are you reading this?
Well, I guess, I'll just keep dreaming. In the meantime, I'll enjoy using this laptop for a while yet. Maybe, Asus will have the latest G15.6 version. Just like this laptop. I'm really digging this laptop size. I have always liked small laptops. The smaller the better. Because of the portability. But, after using this, I think this is just right. Not too big and not too small.

So, I decided to try and play Dirt 4 on my new Hp laptop. It has the AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor and Rx Radeon Vega 10. Although, I only have 8gb of ram and 512GB of storage. All these new games are pretty big in size. That's why I always say if you can get the bigger 1 or 2TB if possible. If not, you have to choose which games to install and maybe delete them once you finished playing.
Right up, when the game starts, it began to stutter. I checked the game custom set to Ultra-high. I remembered playing this game on my gaming pc. So, maybe that's where the setting came from. I forgot as I'm downloading from my STEAM account. I'm really surprised, as I thought, the AMD graphics card would at least be on par with my pc GTX 1060 graphic card. Apparently, not.
Ok, blame it on me not doing my research. I didn't actually buy this laptop to play games. If not, I would have got a gaming laptop. But, most of them are out of my budget. But, of course, me being curious, I tried and lowered the settings and it had to go really low. In fact, Ultra-low. Even then, it still stutters. That's why I was really, really surprised. How good is an AMD laptop?
I went for a quick search and found this website that shows the real benchmarks that Vega 10 isn't a match for the GTX 1060. Almost, half of its capabilities. It even states that most games you can play are set to minimal settings. Well, that explains the ultra-low settings I had to set to be able to play the game. Kinda a disappointment. I thought I could at least play on medium.
Once again, if or when I have the money, I want to get the Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 with the anime led lightings. Why aren't any other computer company doing this? Don't get me wrong, I actually like the HP 5s laptop. I love the size, the full backlit keyboard, and the sound which is pretty loud when gaming. I don't think, you actually need a headphone to enjoy the great sound effects.
Earlier, I tried to download and play Modern Warfare Warzone free multiplayer game and I'm surprised how smooth the gameplay is. I didn't even have to set up anything. The game set itself up, so I don't have to dabble with the settings and just play. If this laptop has a better graphic card, I would have been very satisfied. For now, I'm just happy to have a new laptop for my basic usage and occasional gaming.
If you have the money to blow, you'll want the specs above. One thing for sure, you won't have to worry about the minimal settings for a long time. And, with 2TB of storage space, download as many games as you want. Although, now I prefer the 15.6-inch widescreen and the full keyboard of my HP 5s, the G14, 14 inches will make it a little more portable.
The portability makes you want to bring it everywhere you go. Of course, without the internet, it's just a brick. That's why I prefer buying a full game that you can play offline. All these online streaming, makes you stuck to a desktop or your home. And, you have to keep paying for stuff that supposed to be already in the game. Read my past blog post and you'll know I hate this kind of 'free-to-play' game.
I think the G14 design is very modern yet a low-key design for today's gamer. As I've said before, that's part of the reason I got the HP 5s. It has a similar silver color and backlit keyboard as the G14. AMD Ryzen laptop seems to be popular as my unboxing video already has hundreds of views. Maybe, I thought, I'm the only one that's interested in the G14 design?
HP should upgrade their laptop specs to Ryzen 10 with RTX 3090? If they aren't already working on it. Yeah, I'm crazy. Lol. Who knows, they can actually do it. Haven't the Ryzen 9 already been a year? If not, it sure seems so long ago that a Ryzen 9 laptop appeared. I hope they include the anime led lights for the new laptops. It's fun to play with led lights.

Even in ultra-low, the graphics aren't that bad. You can slowly adjust up a bit here and there to improve the graphics. This laptop is definitely for the budget-conscious but also want the ability to play some of the latest AAA games. Albeit, with the lowest of settings.
*Update: After dabbling with the AMD Radeon software, updating my windows 10, and lowering the resolution, I can now play the game on custom low-medium. Now, it plays pretty smoothly and the graphics aren't that bad either.
I guess, the Radeon X Vega 10 isn't that bad after all. That is after you play around with the graphics setting.
