Powkiddy X18 - The New Nintendo 3DS XL that I Had Always Wanted!

Powkiddy X18 Handheld Games Console 2-Player Video Game Machine 5.5-Inch WiFi

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yes, I'm still going to talk about Powkiddy X18. It's because I'm still messing around with it. Well, yesterday night, I took out my retro ROMs MicroSD card from my Android tablet and put it into my X18. I forget how big the storage was until I realized it contains all my ROMs, music, pictures, etc.

Since I seldom use my tablet anymore, might as well used it on my X18. Anyway, retro gaming or any kind of gaming is much more fun with a physical controller. And, the X18 comes integrated with one. With a couple of thousands of retro games available, this is becoming my ultimate retro gaming system.

• Long-lasting battery life, 5000mAh large-capacity battery adopts a lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 5000mAh. The battery is smaller in size and lighter in weight and can be used more times.
• CPU: MTK 8163, quad-core A53 64-bit processor 1.3GHz. Memory: 2GDDR3+16GB EMMC. Battery: 5000 mAh.

The funny thing is that the form factor design is obviously copied from the Nintendo 3DS. I make a quick physical comparison on my unboxing video. You can watch it here. I wish they copied everything though. Like a second screen, a stylus pen, and the camera.

Back in the day, I wish they'll improve on the NN3DS XL. Especially, the graphics. I remember watching youtube on it but now you can't. I still have it so, not being able to watch youtube kinda sucks. I can't quite remember if you can browse the Internet or do social media back then.

Now, I have the Nintendo Switch lite but as much as I love it, I'll always feel something missing. Yes, that's the part the Powkiddy X18 or the GPD XD Plus can fill it up. The difference with the X18 is that it uses Android O.S. which is like a lighter version of Microsoft Windows.

I don't really game all the time. I check my emails, read up on news, do research on Google, messaging, voice messages, video call my family and friends with Whatsapp, watch youtube, listen to music and social media. You know, the everyday thingy.

GPD XD Plus [Official distributor, Latest HW & Most Stable Update] Foldable Handheld Game Consoles 5" Touchscreen, Android 7.0 Fast Mediatek MT8176 Hexa-core 2.1GHz CPU, 4GB RAM/32GB ROM

Yes, I know. I already do all that on my Samsung Note 10+. In fact, I even have my Blackberry used as my second phone. Now, I consider the Powkiddy X18 as my main device to do all that. I even use it occasionally to Whatsapp my family and close friend.

That's why I wish the X18 has a camera like mine 3ds xl. I would have used it for video calls. Imagine, if the X18 also has a second screen, you can use it for a touchscreen keyboard or touchpad. That big empty space in between the controller is such a waste of space.

If you want something light and portable for entertainment and social media, you don't need Microsoft Windows software. I used to hate the early version of Android, now, you can do everything as if you're using a Windows PC. The best part that the mobile phone and a laptop don't have is the integrated controller.

The integrated controller is what makes the difference. That's why I love gaming on my Nintendo Switch and NN3DS XL. Even if you don't like the integrated controller you can buy an external controller. But, the important thing is that there's an integrated one for on-the-go gaming!

The Powdiddy X18 and the GPD XD Plus though also lets you use it as a mini laptop. It's what I had always wanted to do on my NN3DS XL years ago. And, even on my Switch lite now. But, if they put a second touchscreen/touchpad and a camera for video-calling, it'll be 90% perfect!

Lenovo Legion 2021 Gaming Laptop Innovation

2021 Newest Lenovo Legion 7i Gaming Laptop, 15.6" FHD 144Hz Screen, Intel Core i7-10750H Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RGB Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10, KKE Bundle

Hey guys,

Check it out!

If you have been reading my blog, you'll know that laptop design is pretty important to me. Especially, a gaming laptop. There is one laptop that always catches my eyes but I'm not really sure what attracts me to it.

I used to work as an office building technician and there's one laptop brand that is pretty commonly used. Lenovo. Not really sure why everyone using them. Maybe, it's company-sponsored although it is touted as a business laptop.

2021 Newest Lenovo Legion 7i Gaming Laptop, 15.6" FHD 144Hz Screen, Intel Core i7-10750H Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RGB Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10, KKE Bundle

Most of the Lenovo laptops that were used are old. Some are still using Windows 7. Well, that was a couple of years back. Maybe, they have updated to the latest. The latest Lenovo laptop design is not that bad either. They're now slim and modern looking.

I was actually surprised when I found out later on that Lenovo actually has their own gaming laptop department. And, they look pretty good too. Nothing fancy, just nice black, straight business-like, sharp design. Wish, I could test how good they are at gaming though.

I'm considering getting a 2nd-hand Lenovo laptop and turn it into a Linux laptop. I don't know why I prefer Lenovo. They seem to be on better offer than the rest. Also, like I said, their business like design is very enticing to me. Especially, the recent version.

Lenovo has announced their new laptops with the latest Nvidia RTX 30 series and AMD Ryzen 5000. So, you might want to look out for that. If you want something affordable but still able to play the latest triple-A games, then anything latest than GTX is already pretty good.

Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming Laptop, 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) IPS Screen, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Processor, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti, Windows 10, 82B1000AUS, Phantom Black

Lenovo is pretty much the Blackberry of the business world. To me personally. Their design and specs policy is mainly base on business usage. Blackberry, should have its own laptop and desktop department. Not sure why they only concentrate on mobile.

In any case, it's interesting that Lenovo decides to have their own gaming laptop and desktop. But, I'm not sure how popular it is with gamers. In fact, it's a brand I seldom heard or see people talk about. Even, I'm not sure if it's a brand I should look at when getting a gaming laptop.

2020 Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17.3" HD+ Laptop Computer, AMD Ryzen 7-3700U Processor, 12GB RAM, 1TB HDD+128GB SSD, AMD Radeon Vega 10 Graphics, Dolby Audio, HD Webcam, Windows 10, Grey, 32GB SnowBell USB Card

The Lenovo laptop specs above are almost the same as my HP AMD Ryzen 7. It even has the same Radeon RX Vega 10 integrated mobile graphics. My HP unboxing video is pretty popular. But, I'm not sure why it is. Although, it's probably the design.

That's why I keep saying, a product design is important. You should give a good first impression of your products. If at the onset, people don't like your design, it doesn't matter if your specs are way better and cheaper than the others.

ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 14" Ultra-Slim Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q 24GB DDR4 RAM, 1024GB PCIE SSD, 0TB HDD, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 Home Moonlight White

I would definitely have got the G14 if I had the money. But, then again, the RTX 30 series and AMD 5000 gaming laptop will probably be available soon. Not all laptops are offering it right now. I guess they need to do design and testing before rolling it out.

Hopefully, I'll have enough money in the future to get one. Would be great if any of the companies would sponsor me their latest gaming laptop. I love laptops and had bought and use many brands throughout the years.

The funny thing is, there's actually no company that I'm really a fan of. Well, I used to love Alienware. Not anymore. Nowadays, I'm more into the design than the specs. If you have the money, you'll want the latest and the best specs but, if you don't like me, the HP is good enough.

If you have the money, take a look at what Lenovo can offer. You might be surprised!

See Beautiful White Clouds Plane flight take-off from Krabi Thailand - Samsung S10+ Camera Video

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G | Factory Unlocked Android Cell Phone | 128 GB | US Version Smartphone | Pro-Grade Camera, 30X Space Zoom, Night Mode | Cloud Mint Green

Hey guys,

Check it out!

The video I took using the Samsung Galaxy S10+ camera video was before I sold it to get the Note 10+. I have owned several Samsung phones and back then, I wasn't really impressed. I even hated the Android OS because it's always laggy and freeze up.

The only reason, I bought the S3 was because I couldn't get an iPhone 4. It was pretty much sold out then. That was how hard to get an iPhone. I remember waiting for almost a year before I got my hands on the 2nd Gen iPhone.

Since I got the S10+, Samsung has totally impressed me with the latest iterations of their mobile phone. Love the screen size, especially without the notch, one of the reasons I didn't get the iPhone X. My last several phones were the Blackberry, iPhone 8, and Razer gaming phone.

I miss the blackberry keyboard, the iPhone iMovie editor, and the Razer phone? Well, it was a first-gen and it had a lot of problems. Especially, the touchscreen and the camera. I think Razer 2 solved those problems. Not sure why they stop selling their own brand phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 256GB N985F/DS 8GB RAM S-Pen 6.9" Triple Camera GSM LTE Factory Unlocked Smartphone (International Version) (Mystic Bronze)

Razer had a good concept idea for their phone though. Something like a laptop dock. Where you can charge your phone and also use it as a touchpad. That's why I was surprised when I read the news they close down their new phone department.

The laptop dock would have been pretty cool. Turning your phone into a computer. That's why I prefer the Samsung phone. Now they have the Samsung Dex with a desktop-like, familiar user interface. Too bad they didn't want a laptop dock for their phone. Would have been pretty cool!

Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G | SM-F916N 256GB | Factory Unlocked - Korean International Version (Mystic Bronze)

I wasn't really impressed with the Z Fold phone when they first announced it. And then, everyone was complaining about the small front screen, the inside screen with the notch on the right and the hinges. I was in a technical class and they always say, products with moving parts won't last long.

I believe it still holds through even with the Z Fold 2 new hinge design. Although, if you're like me, always changing the phone, that wouldn't be a problem. In spite of that, the new Z Fold 2, reminds me of a folding laptop. That's why I'm thinking of getting it, if and when the price goes down.

Nikon COOLPIX P1000 16.7 Digital Camera with 3.2" LCD, Black

As a Youtuber and blogger. I like taking pictures and making videos. That's why a mobile phone with a good camera is important to me. I'm still waiting for a mobile phone camera that I can use to zoom to the moon. Much like the Nikon Coolpix P900 or P1000.

I'm not an expert on cameras but most experts and amateurs users agree that the Nikon P900 or P1000 is one of the best for moon-watching. Although, they're complaining the P1000 'upgrade' specs isn't worth spending the extra dough on.

Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop, 14" Full HD IPS, AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Octa-Core with Radeon Graphics, 8GB LPDDR4, 512GB NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Backlit KB, Fingerprint Reader, Alexa Built-in, SF314-42-R9YN

What's great is that the camera on the iPhone, Samsung, and other mobile phone zooming capabilities are improving. To me, Samsung has the edge because of Samsung Dex. If they improved the camera for moon-watching, I can use Samsung Dex to view directly on my laptop for easier and quick editing.

Yes, the whole video and pictures above I took from my S10+ with the phone camera and edited on the phone itself. Didn't need the hassle of downloading to a computer for editing and uploading. Now, all done easily right from your phone. You couldn't do that in the past.

My old Pentium computer used to hang a lot when I tried editing videos using the free Microsoft Movie Editor. The worst part is when you're half-way through and it hangs. Imagine the frustration when you realized you didn't save and had to redo the whole thing again. Those were the days!

Now, the mobile phone has become a powerful mini-computer that fits in your pocket. Mobile computing is definitely the future.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go Reminds me of Macbook

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go - 12.4" Touchscreen - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD - Sandstone

Hey guys,

Check it out!

The first thing, I remembered when looking at the Microsoft latest Surface laptop go is my old Macbook Gold retina. It looks almost the same. Of course, there are differences in specs. Like, the MacBook is 12 inch with retina display.

I loved my Macbook back then and so did my nephew. Whenever he comes over my house, he'll use it. He wasn't happy when I decided to sell it off. He likes how long the battery lasts in between usage. It's also light and quite portable.

Apple MNYK2LL/A 12in MacBook Laptop - Gold (Retina Display, 1.2GHz Intel Core m3 Dual-Core Processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB, Intel HD Graphics, Mac OS (2017 Newest Version) (Renewed)

• SPEED: Small but mighty, MacBook includes 256GB SSD storage and 8GB of memory so you can have the superior performance you deserve in a sleek and slim laptop.
• GRAPHICS: 12-inch retina display with over 3 million pixels for vibrant, bright colors, and Intel HD Graphics 615 takes visuals to the next level.
• FORCE TOUCH: The Force Touch trackpad allows for precise cursor control with pressure-sensing capabilities and the Taptic Engine provides haptic feedback that brings a sense of touch to what you see. MacBook also feature's Apple's redesigned keyboard for precise typing.
• PERFORMANCE: 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M3 Processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.0GHz, the MacBook delivers faster performance.

I took this picture of my Macbook Gold Retina with my Blackberry passport. Which is used. It was an interesting phone with that size. But, I always like blackberry phones, especially with OS10. You'll need a bigger pocket for the phone though. lol.

I don't know why Apple is not continuing with the Macbook. All they need to do is update the specs and maybe lower the price more. Both of the Surface laptops go and the MacBook is great for light usage. For students, this would definitely be great for school.

If the screen is a touchscreen, you might as well make the laptop's ability to fold. So, people can use it as a tablet. Would definitely benefit school artists. Or, if you want to hold it while laying down watching youtube videos.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go - 12.4" Touchscreen - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD - Platinum

It's great that they're putting the 720p front camera though. During this pandemic just shows how essential communicating through video-call is. I'm kind of an advocate of the video call. It's crappy that you have to wait until there's a pandemic before everyone takes video-call seriously.

Hello, my mom always video call my sis through Whatsapp. I've seen people at work using it to call their families. It's kinda weird that people don't use it for work. Ok. maybe because it's expensive back then and the camera, plus connections weren't that good either.

Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop, 15.6" Full HD IPS Display, AMD Ryzen 7 3700U, RX Vega 10 Graphics, 8GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 Home, A515-43-R6DE

Nowadays, tech has definitely improved. For example, I used to hate the fingerprint sensor on mobile phones. I was surprised how smooth it is on my current laptop. I can easily log in to my laptop within secs. So, I assumed it will be great for the Surface laptop go. So, enjoy it!

I hope they can lower the price though. At that price, it got me an HP 15s AMD Ryzen 7 with Vega 10 graphics, 15.6-inch FHD with a full backlit keyboard. It's not a touchscreen, but I seldom need it, unless I can fold it. Also, comes with 512gb SSD.

I guess, if you're a student, you might be able to get a special prize, so look out for that.
