Nintendo Switch Still My Favorite Gaming & Entertainment System

Yup! Lately, I've been playing with my Windows 10 Tablet PC, my Powkiddy X18, a portable Android and Retro gaming console which have the same design as my New (old) Nintendo 3DS XL aka NN3DSXL. In the end, I still come back to my Nintendo Switch lite.

The design, form factor, games, and entertainment, ok, mostly watching youtube. It's the best portable console to relax in bed before you sleep. Although, I definitely still want more apps like Facebook, Twitter, and other social media.

Frankly, I don't really check my social media once I'm in bed. Since my Switch lite doesn't have those apps I normally play some games and then watch youtube until I'm ready to sleep. The Nintendo Switch lite is err..pretty light to hold in one hand and with my Razer Kraken gaming headset, great for listening to music too.

I also realized that I have already many games installed on the 512GB MicroSD card. Some, I haven't even played much less finished them. And, I haven't even count the physical cartridges version. Some of them bought it when I had the first version of the Nintendo Switch.



Nintendo Switch Lite - Zacian and Zamazenta Edition

I've sold my Nintendo Switch and got myself the special edition Zacian and Zamazenta edition. It's definitely a little lighter and smaller. The screen is only around 5.5 Inch but that makes the image a little sharper albeit smaller. I still miss the ability to dock and play on my big screen Tv though.

The thing is, I actually played more on the handheld mode than playing on the TV. I think the main reason is that it's kinda a hassle to dock it, turn on your TV, and play. Whereas, on a handheld mode, you just play. Basically, anywhere and anytime.

The ease of going to the eShop and buy digital games is definitely a plus. Since I got myself the 512GB MicroSD card, I've been buying games that are mostly on sales. Some of those cheap games are actually mobile games adapted to the Nintendo Switch.

I don't really like mobile games because they're mostly touchscreen control. But, some that do have controller supports are now available on the switch. So games that I won't play on my mobile are now my favorite on my Switch lite. Lol.

I can't resist the temptation to buy an external controller though. I even bought a see-through version which looks pretty cool. Check out my unboxing and quick gameplay here. There are definitely many other cool designs available.

The games are definitely the main attraction. Nowadays, there are many latest triple-A PC or console games that you can buy on eShop or retail shops. There are games that I already have for the PC or console but because it's now available for the Switch, I bought it.



Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury - Nintendo Switch

Nintendo in-house games for their own console are pretty awesome too. One good reason why you'll want to buy a Nintendo Switch or a Switch lite. There are many gaming consoles that tried to emulate the success of the Nintendo Switch but nothing beats playing on the original console.

For the price, its main purpose is only for gaming. But, as I've said, I also use it to watch youtube videos and listening to music too. I don't know why Spotify or even Netflix is still not available on the Switch. It's definitely great for entertainment.

Who cares anyway. The Nintendo Switch has sold millions and even some free-to-play games like Asphalt 9 Legends have a million downloads. To me, the Nintendo Switch/lite is still the best gaming and entertainment system!

I bought the first iteration of the Nintendo Switch 2-3 years back. Sold it and got me the Zacian & Zamazenta edition switch lite. Frankly, I seldom dock my switch back then. Although, I like the ability when I have the mood to play games or watch youtube on my Tv.

If you already have the Nintendo switch and want something lighter and smaller then the original to bring along when you're out and about this will be great. Also great, if you're sharing with your family members and want your own.

I use my switch lite more than the original on my bed before I sleep. It's just like using your mobile phone. Only now, it's actually much better to games or watches youtube videos. Simply because it's much more portable.

Get the 512gb microSD card to download all your favorite games on the switch. If you have the money get the 1TB. I have almost 100+ games and already half of my 512gb card used. I do buy some games that are on the cartridge. Those are mostly big-name games.

I used to play games on my phones but most of them suck and especially, most of them don't have controller support. With the switch, it's much more fun playing without worrying about them or internet connection. If you're thinking which one to get? Get the Nintendo switch or the switch lite!

After I got myself the 512GB MicroSD card. I've been checking out the eShop latest deals. Right now, there's a few I've got and some, I haven't yet decided. I did decide to get Resident Evil Zero for my Nintendo Switch lite. And, I'm loving it!

If decades ago, I tell you that you'll be able to play resident evil on a small handheld portable console, you'll think I'm crazy. But, here I am playing one iteration of the game. The gameplay is really smooth and looks pretty good on the switch lite.

What I really like most is that, I can just pick up the switch lite and play anytime and anywhere I'm at. I could be playing this on the bus, train and the plane. I could play this while on a lunch break or when I'm on a holiday somewhere without having to bring along an Xbox or PS4.

Okay. These games aren't actually new. And, there are some versions on the PSP or 3DS. But, on the switch, the quality is much better and you can play it both in handheld mode and also by docking to play on the big screen Tv.

Also, now you are starting to see Triple AAA game dev getting their popular PC and console games on the Nintendo Switch. This means you can play your favorite games on handheld mode pretty much whenever you feel like it.

I'm still waiting for my favorite shooter game like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Dirt, Need for Speed, Forza racing game on the switch. I would also love to play Gears of War on my Switch lite too. There are so many other popular 'oldies' that can possibly come to the switch.

Imagine, having all these games either in digital format or cartridges right at your fingertips. I'm really loving my switch lite. Besides gaming, I also like watching youtube videos and listening to music at night. Too bad, there's no Spotify or Netflix on it.

Yeah, you can listen to music and watch a movie on the phone like some argue. But, won't you rather enjoy entertainment on the switch and save your phone for more important usage, like for work? Sometime, you'll see some people have two phones. Why? Because, one is for gaming, entertainment and the other is usually for work and communication.

Anyway, if one or the other needs to be charged, you'll have something else to use while waiting. What you guys think?

Finally. My switch lite accessories order arrives. The delivery was a little longer due to the coronavirus pandemic. But, better late than never, aye? The essential workers are really essential, serving the people. Kudos, to them. They keep things going at such a difficult time.

Anyway, I got myself a travel case, a transparent case, and a screen protector. Oh, yesterday, I finally decided to get the 512gb MicroSD card. When I re-download some of my old games, it almost filled up my 128gb card. I had to delete some of the free-to-play games, that I wanted to try.

Why can't Nintendo include a 1TB internal storage space? When a lot of new games coming out, you'll be filling that storage space pretty fast. Also, some big games have big file sizes. That's why sometimes, I prefer to buy a physical cartridge. The problem is, all the great deals are on eShop!

I bought a transparent case so that I can see still my Zacian and Zamazenta Edition special edition design at the back. I also like the grey color and protruding design of my travel case. With the screen protector, I don't have to worry about touching the screen.

I saw a Linus tech youtube video saying that the switch lite makes it easy to reach for the screen because it's a smaller size. That's actually true. It's much easier to type when you need to. I just use my thumb like I would on a mobile phone.

The Switch lite, being small and light is rather kind of more portable friendly. Now, besides playing games, at night, I would use it to watch youtube videos or even listening to music. Those videos that only stream music is just like listening to Spotify. Although, I wished it's available on the switch.

My nephew, which I've sold my first-gen Nintendo switch also said the switch lite is pretty cool. He likes that it's small and light too. The portability is enticing to him. Definitely, since he has a brother and sister, the bigger switch is great for family time. The switch lite is more personal.
