Why I'm Not Getting the PS5 or Xbox Series X - Yet

Xbox Series X

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Have you checked out the few top YouTubers that got their hands on the Xbox Series X, S, and PS5, doing their unboxing videos? I must say, I'm a little jealous. Ok, I'm feeling envious and jealous! At the same time, I'm feeling, meh!

Yeah, it's all new and dandy with the latest specs. While Xbox Series X/S design is simple and kinda Zen, although, they could go for much smaller and slimmer. The PS5 is like something from the future. See that I said, "future". Because we're still not advance yet. In terms of technology and the way we live or do things.

Xbox Series X

  • Introducing Xbox Series X, the fastest, most powerful Xbox ever. Play thousands of titles from four generations of consoles-all games look and play best on Xbox Series X.
  • Experience next-gen speed and performance with the Xbox velocity architecture, powered by a custom SSD and integrated software.
  • Play thousands of games from four generations of Xbox with Backward compatibility, including optimized titles at launch.
  • Download and play over 100 high-quality games, including all-new Xbox Game Studios titles like Halo Infinite the day they release, with Xbox Game Pass ultimate (membership sold separately).
  • Xbox Smart delivery ensures you play the best available version of your game no matter which Console you're playing on.

Xbox Series S

  • Access your favorite entertainment through apps like YouTube, Netflix, and more
  • Enjoy over 100 games right out of the box with a 1 month Xbox Game Pass trial
  • Watch 4K Blu-ray movies and stream 4K video on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Microsoft Movies & TV, and more
  • Play with friends and family near and far—sitting together on the sofa or around the world on Xbox Live, the fastest, most reliable gaming network
  • Xbox One games and accessories work together

At the moment, I still have my Xbox One S Gear of War edition. I haven't been playing games on it for a couple of months now since my trial version of the Xbox Game Pass or was it Live Gold ended. This is part of the reason why I hate the gaming world today.

I also stop buying games when they have all these confusing versions of the games. You can buy games that include game pass or live gold. And, even if you have subscriptions, you still have to buy new games when they come out.

PlayStation 5 Console

  • Lightning Speed - Harness the power of a custom CPU, GPU, and SSD with Integrated I/O that rewrite the rules of what a PlayStation console can do.
  • Stunning Games - Marvel at incredible graphics and experience new PS5 features.
  • Breathtaking Immersion - Discover a deeper gaming experience with support for haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D Audio technology.
Of course, Sony Playstation has the same deal too. Makes you more confused about which one to choose. By the way, the PlayStation 5 also has a digital version. Most gamers today prefer buying games via the system online store.

Gone are the good old days when you go to your local game store to get the physical version. They'll sometimes have cool offers with posters or special editions. I don't see the point of buying a physical version if the only thing you're gonna get is the game disc or cartridge.

I'm not saying I dislike buying the digital version of the games. In fact, I bought so many games on the Nintendo Switch stores which are always having good deals. I'm running out of storage. Even though, I just bought a 512GB MicroSD card.

If you're wondering what does a Nintendo Switch have to do with the latest Xbox Series X/S and PS5? Well, I'm gaming more on it than I ever will with either the Xbox or Playstation. Well, my Playstation 3 died on me a couple of years back. That's why I'll probably get the PS5 later on, if ever.

Nintendo Switch Lite - Gray

Owning the Nintendo Switch lite right now, makes me realized, I'll be using it more than the Xbox X Series or a PS5. Simply because it is more accessible and flexible. Turning on both of the consoles is a hassle. I might turn it on once in a while to enjoy the advanced graphics and play games on the big screen Tv.

In the end, it really depends on your own preferential. Some like to sit down and enjoy playing their games for hours on their console. Some like me prefer playing on their handheld whenever and wherever we go. Especially, if you travel or move around a lot.

To play a console game, you need to set a time to play it. Playing on a portable console, you play anywhere and anytime you want. It's always with you. Just like playing mobile games. Only, the Nintendo Switch has 'real' games. Not games that need an internet connection or full of advertisements!

Yup, I'm not getting the PS5 or Xbox Series X, yet. But, I'll definitely get the latest Nintendo Switch if ever they're coming up with a more advanced version. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy playing games more on my portable game console. That's for sure!

That's why I love the Nintendo Switch. A portable gaming console that you can play the latest popular games or simple indie game. I sold my original Nintendo Switch to my nephew and he brings it along everywhere he goes. He loves it!

'PUDDLE KNIGHTS' LAUNCHES TODAY ON NINTENDO SWITCH

A Poorly Designed Sanitation System Gives Ample Opportunity for Heroism

October 8th, 2020 -- Lockpickle is excited to announce their first game Puddle Knights is out now on Nintendo Switch.  Puddle Knights is a turn-based puzzle game featuring medieval scenery and unique mud-and-cape based gameplay. You direct knights with a cape trailing behind them in a snake-like fashion, trying to get nobles to their goal without getting mud on any fancy clothes. The game builds up depth on top of an elegant set of unique core mechanics to provide a variety of challenging puzzles.

As the player, you will coordinate the movement of both the Knights and their less mud-resistant superiors with the goal of escorting them to their designated exit. To achieve this noble purpose, no sacrifice is too great: capes will tear and heads will be stepped on. However, it is your head that will be doing most of the heavy lifting in these puddle puzzles!

Features
  • 100+ head-scratching levels of increasing difficulty
  • Step on heads
  • Tear up capes, hold down the drawbridge, and perform other inventive tactical maneuvers
  • A fresh take on logic puzzles: no pressure plates, keys to collect or boxes to push
  • Mistake-making and experimentation encouraged by undoing and reset functions
  • No rush: all the time in the world to think and analyze
  • Brand new Sky High and Lava World updates included with the Switch version.
Puddle Knights is available on Nintendo Switch and Steam for $9.99.

About Lockpickle

Lockpickle was founded in December 2018 by ex-NVIDIA engineer Olli Etuaho. After succeeding to secure 2nd place in Ludum Dare game jam with "Everything Building" - he wanted a chance to pursue his passion projects more seriously. However, to really succeed, he knew he had to build a carefully picked dream team of other like-minded people. So he bode his time and the company existed as a one-person consultancy until a fated Global Game Jam 2019 in Helsinki, where Olli teamed up with designer and musician Harry Damm. Harry joined the company in spring 2019, and the two of them started the development of Puddle Knights, the company's first commercial title.

Go! Go! Get the game on eShop!

=============================================

The game looks easy but it gets harder. It took me a while to solve the last puzzle in my gameplay video. Really, work your brain. Not sure, if you should play it before you sleep, cause, if you're stuck, you might get workup, like me. lol.

If you have any games or products to promo you can contact me via the contact form for more info. We do an unboxing, gameplay, and also blog about it here on Games & Tech.

Nintendo Switch Lite Resident Evil Zero gameplay

Resident Evil Origins Collection - Nintendo Switch

Hey guys,

Check it out!

After I got myself the 512GB MicroSD card. I've been checking out the eShop latest deals. Right now, there's a few I've got and some, I haven't yet decided. I did decide to get Resident Evil Zero for my Nintendo Switch lite. And, I'm loving it!

If decades ago, I tell you that you'll be able to play resident evil on a small handheld portable console, you'll think I'm crazy. But, here I am playing one iteration of the game. The gameplay is really smooth and looks pretty good on the switch lite.

What I really like most is that, I can just pick up the switch lite and play anytime and anywhere I'm at. I could be playing this on the bus, train and the plane. I could play this while on a lunch break or when I'm on a holiday somewhere without having to bring along an Xbox or PS4.

Resident Evil Triple Pack - Nintendo Switch

Resident Evil Revelations Collection - Standard Edition - Nintendo Switch

Okay. These games aren't actually new. And, there are some versions on the PSP or 3DS. But, on the switch, the quality is much better and you can play it both in handheld mode and also by docking to play on the big screen Tv.

Also, now you are starting to see Triple AAA game dev getting their popular PC and console games on the Nintendo Switch. This means you can play your favorite games on handheld mode pretty much whenever you feel like it.

I'm still waiting for my favorite shooter game like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Dirt, Need for Speed, Forza racing game on the switch. I would also love to play Gears of War on my Switch lite too. There are so many other popular 'oldies' that can possibly come to the switch.

Imagine, having all these games either in digital format or cartridges right at your fingertips. I'm really loving my switch lite. Besides gaming, I also like watching youtube videos and listening to music at night. Too bad, there's no Spotify or Netflix on it.

Yeah, you can listen to music and watch a movie on the phone like some argue. But, won't you rather enjoy entertainment on the switch and save your phone for more important usage, like for work? Sometime, you'll see some people have two phones. Why? Because, one is for gaming, entertainment and the other is usually for work and communication.

Anyway, if one or the other needs to be charged, you'll have something else to use while waiting. What you guys think?
