Unboxing Aftershock custom build gaming pc and Asus vs248 monitor

OMEN 30L Gaming Desktop PC, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics Card, 10th Generation Intel Core i9-10850K Processor, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and 2 TB Hard Drive, Windows 10 Home (GT13-0092, 2020)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Hey dude, if only I have the money. I bought my Aftershock (main website) custom build gaming pc with the Asus vs248 monitor for around $2K, way back in Feb 2017. That's over 3 years ago. The specs was intel i7, 16GB of ram, Gtx 1060 3GB, 109 SSD + 1TB HDD. My HDD died on me the other day. Now, I have to get a new one.

Try comparing that to the latest gaming pc on offer in 2021 at the same price. Just shows within years, the technology has pretty much tripled. One thing for sure, my 'old' gaming pc is still a no-slouch. For my personal use as a Youtuber and blogger, it still runs smoothly without any kind of hiccups. Especially, when editing my videos.

In the old days, when I only had a Pentium PC, it will always hang up whenever I want to make a video for my youtube channel. Sometimes, it will hang up when I opened the Microsoft Moviemaker. There'll be days when half-way through editing the videos and the screen just froze. I'll literally pray that it'll be back to normal or I'll have to re-do everything again.

Nowadays, with my high-end gaming pc, even though, it almost never freezes, I have cultivated the habit of saving my work every time I remembered to. Blogger or Google office actually now automatically saves my works every few secs. I think every software should do that. Well, you never know if suddenly something happens like a loss of power and at least your data was saved.

I'm thinking of upgrading my 109GB SSD though. It's too small for some of the basic software that I need to install. Also, because some of them need to be installed on your main drive. I'm thinking of either getting the 500GB or 1TB SSD. The size of this software and games are getting bigger and bigger. Why can't they get smaller and smaller like the tech advancement?

They also consume so much energy and needed a better cooling system. Especially, for gaming laptops. Even gaming device or phone gets pretty hot if you play high graphic-intensive games. My favorite portable gaming console, the Nintendo Switch lite, will get warm even though I'm just watching youtube videos. My Samsung Note 10+ even had to kill the game Grid Autosport because of heat.

Really, if I have the money, I'll want to get any of these new gaming PC with the latest high-end specs. I'll just sell my old pc and get the new one. I've thought of upgrading it but, the fact the tech has really become more advance and updated, and you really want to try out the new technology too. What with the new upcoming games.

Ahh, how I wish I was rich or sponsored by any of these companies. One thing though, I really wish they can minimize it all. Imagine, all that powerful tech inside my Nintendo Switch lite. I'll be able to play a super high-end graphic intensive game on the go. Hopefully, the battery will last you the whole day and not just 1 or two hours.

Nintendo Switch Lite - Gray

Have you guys seen the latest Xbox Series X and the PS5? Especially, the PS5, it's so huge. Whatever happens to tech getting smaller and powerful? Look, the Nintendo Switch would probably soon reach 100 million sold, worldwide. It is small and portable does entice gamer like me who likes gaming on the go. In fact, I game on it more than on my Xbox or PC.

I found this interesting article about Nintendo Switch and Call of Duty in 2020. Read it here. But, the fcking Big Boss, I forget his name says that COD won't be available any time soon for the Nintendo Switch. What a prick. There I said it. I'm pretty angry because the way he says it sounds arrogant to me. Let's see how long can he ignored the call for COD to come to the Switch.

Anyway, don't forget to check out my Aftershock gaming pc unboxing video. Pls like, share, and subscribe. It will definitely help grow my blog and youtube channel. I still haven't reached the 1k minimum subscribers to earn any advertising money. Not that I can, even if I reach that minimum requirement. In the old days, I would but they changed the rules again.

By the way, come back a couple of years later, and let's see what new technology will be available for the gaming pc then!

In 2021 Nintendo Switch Lite Still Best Portable Gaming Console

Nintendo Switch Lite - Zacian and Zamazenta Edition

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yes, it's still January 2020 and I'm already stating that the Nintendo Switch lite is still the best portable gaming console? You can say the Xbox Series X or PS5 is the most advanced gaming console. But, who cares? Yes, I love beautiful graphics too. It's not like I've never owned an Xbox or a Sony Playstation.

In fact, if I can remember correctly the Playsation One was the first-ever gaming console that I bought with my own bonus work pay. I went to visit my colleague's house and was pretty impressed with the latest 3D graphics. Decided there and then to get one. But, I bought the modified version. Hehe!

I still have 100s of those games that I bought 3 for $10 deals. Hoping one day, I can get the same PS1 modified version. It got fried because I was fed up that I had to keep on and off the thing to play. I plug it directly without the adapter in anger.

The stupid thing is that my Xbox 360 and PS3 also got that same kind of 'ROD'. I stopped playing console games for a long while. Well, I bought a gaming laptop, an Alienware M14x. Bought games via Steam of course. Later on, I trade my old M14x for the PS VITA which includes some games.

PlayStation Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Model Crystal Black Limited edition (PCH-1100AB01)

That's how cheap my Alienware M14x had become. Although, I think it has a problem with over-heating. And, the casing was going sticky. When it just came out, it was probably the best gaming laptop ever. You can basically play anything on it.

The main thing with the Alienware M14x or M11x was the portability. I'm not sure about other gamers but being able to play a triple-A game on the go has always been my dream. Yeah, you have the handheld console, but the games aren't a console-quality.

When I bought the New Nintendo 3DS XL, I was already impressed with its features and games. I love RPG games and the 3DS have loads of them. But, of course, it can't play triple-A games, especially FPS shooter. There were one or two but not console level.

I was hoping Nintendo will improve on it. Instead, it came out with the 2DS. When they suddenly announced the Nintendo Switch, I wasn't really excited or impressed. Especially, since the early games weren't the usual Triple-A popular FPS or RPG.

Fifa 21 (Switch) (Nintendo Switch)

That's when they announced games like FIFA18 and Skyrim will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. My nephew was as excited as me as he wanted to play FIFA 18 on the portable console. The thoughts of being able to play a real console game on the go were pretty enticing.

So, on a whim, I finally gave in and bought the Nintendo Switch. Even though, I recently bought an Xbox One S Gears of War edition. Gears of War is one of my favorite console games, and I'm wishing that I'll actually be able to play it on my Nintendo Switch lite.

I still love a gaming laptop and one that caught my eye is the One Netbook OneGx1 portable gaming laptop. I saw a black color version the other day and it looks way cool. Can't seem to find that version anywhere. The black color actually makes the controller which is sold separately much more appealing to the eyes.

I was wondering if you can buy a retractable controller for the tablet or iPad and use it together with the laptop. The controller design is definitely much nicer. For God's sake people, if you design anything, make it looks sleek and cool. Also, would be nice if it comes with RGB lighting effects.

Well, that's why I love my Nintendo Switch lite which is the Zacian & Zamazenta version. If there's Spotify, Netflix, and other social media apps available for the Switch, it'll definitely enhance the entertainment system. It is right now to me, the King of the portable gaming system, and hell yeah, I can play Crysis on it!

By the way, about time, they upgrade the Nintendo Switch system. Let's talk about that some other day!

Mouse & Keyboard Converter for Nintendo PC PlayStation Xbox and Mobile

USB C Wired PUBG Mobile Game Keyboard Mouse Converter Adapter, no Lagging Gaming controller gamepad with HDMI USB 3.0 Port for shooting games 4k@144Hz Monitor TV, Compatible with Android phone/tablets

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've been testing my mouse and keyboard converter, playing some of my favorite RPG and shooter games on my Nintendo Switch lite and I'm really loving it. Yesterday, my one-hand keyboard and mouse combo arrived, and it's enjoyable to use them for games.

I'm a little curious if I can use the converter to play mobile games. Actually, for mobile gaming, you don't really need a converter. You can already connect and use your mouse and keyboard via Bluetooth or wired connection.

The problem is, you need to find mobile games that have mouse and keyboard support. Since I've already had my converter setup, playing Nintendo Switch games yesterday night, I switch (no pun intended) to my Samsung Note 10+. Currently, my favorite gaming and work phone!

I tried playing Marvel pinball and I can't seem to use the keyboard to control the flippers. It does work with my mouse though. Next, I tried playing Call of duty mobile and as always it doesn't work. Not surprising since my Xbox One S Camo controller doesn't work too.

Xbox Wireless Controller – Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition

Remember that the converter is kinda mirroring your controller. That's how you map your mouse & keyboard keys, and buttons. You'll have to follow your converter instructions. Anyway, I go for the safe bets and played Dead Trigger 2.

It works right out the bat. I think I didn't confirm my controller settings for the game. But, once I started playing, it's like playing a pc game. The keyboard WASD works and the mouse can be used for aiming and shooting. Now, that's what I'm talking about. Why can't COD mobile do that without going through loops?

USB C Wired PUBG Mobile Game Keyboard Mouse Converter Adapter, no Lagging Gaming controller gamepad with HDMI USB 3.0 Port for shooting games 4k@144Hz Monitor TV, Compatible with Android phone/tablets

There is a dedicated converter for PUBG mobile games like the one above. To me, it's kinda rubbish that you need a converter to play mobile games with a mouse and keyboard. Like, you can already use a keyboard and a mouse without them. So, what gives?

Isn't there any kind of organization or something to streamline mobile gaming? What I like about the smartphone today is that it's turning into a computer. People practically use it every day for social media, entertainment, gaming, and work too.

If the smartphone is turning into a computer, why can't we play games on it like a computer? It was interesting to play games with gyro and touch, back when Steve Jobs introduced the first-ever iPhone. A few years later, everyone is clamoring to get a physical controller.

I was the few guys that actually tried connecting a PlayStation or Xbox controller to a mobile phone but of course, it didn't work back then. It was when I bought an Xbox one s controller with Bluetooth that I realized you now can. But, again, depends on the game.

Mobile game dev needs to get this into their head. Make RPG or shooter games with controller, mouse, and keyboard support. Nowadays, you can easily connect your phone to a big screen Tv or monitor. Portable monitors are pretty common nowadays too.

Check out the first portable monitor I bought and did an unboxing video around a year ago, here. I'm still using it today. Although, I've got another 15.6 inches. Watch the unboxing here. I did a lot of videos on my portable monitor so, check them out too!

One thing though, I've stopped playing mobile games. As a whole, they suck. Too many advertisements and 99% don't have controller support. I do most of my gaming on my Nintendo Switch lite. The best portable gaming console.

Even though the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 is interesting with their latest design, powerful CPU, and GPU. In the end, I will always prefer gaming in handheld mode. Okay, and now also playing my Switch lite in desktop mode with a mouse and keyboard. It's the flexibility that counts!
