Unboxing Aftershock custom build gaming pc and Asus vs248 monitor

OMEN 30L Gaming Desktop PC, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics Card, 10th Generation Intel Core i9-10850K Processor, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and 2 TB Hard Drive, Windows 10 Home (GT13-0092, 2020)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Hey dude, if only I have the money. I bought my Aftershock (main website) custom build gaming pc with the Asus vs248 monitor for around $2K, way back in Feb 2017. That's over 3 years ago. The specs was intel i7, 16GB of ram, Gtx 1060 3GB, 109 SSD + 1TB HDD. My HDD died on me the other day. Now, I have to get a new one.

Try comparing that to the latest gaming pc on offer in 2021 at the same price. Just shows within years, the technology has pretty much tripled. One thing for sure, my 'old' gaming pc is still a no-slouch. For my personal use as a Youtuber and blogger, it still runs smoothly without any kind of hiccups. Especially, when editing my videos.

In the old days, when I only had a Pentium PC, it will always hang up whenever I want to make a video for my youtube channel. Sometimes, it will hang up when I opened the Microsoft Moviemaker. There'll be days when half-way through editing the videos and the screen just froze. I'll literally pray that it'll be back to normal or I'll have to re-do everything again.

Nowadays, with my high-end gaming pc, even though, it almost never freezes, I have cultivated the habit of saving my work every time I remembered to. Blogger or Google office actually now automatically saves my works every few secs. I think every software should do that. Well, you never know if suddenly something happens like a loss of power and at least your data was saved.

I'm thinking of upgrading my 109GB SSD though. It's too small for some of the basic software that I need to install. Also, because some of them need to be installed on your main drive. I'm thinking of either getting the 500GB or 1TB SSD. The size of this software and games are getting bigger and bigger. Why can't they get smaller and smaller like the tech advancement?

They also consume so much energy and needed a better cooling system. Especially, for gaming laptops. Even gaming device or phone gets pretty hot if you play high graphic-intensive games. My favorite portable gaming console, the Nintendo Switch lite, will get warm even though I'm just watching youtube videos. My Samsung Note 10+ even had to kill the game Grid Autosport because of heat.

Really, if I have the money, I'll want to get any of these new gaming PC with the latest high-end specs. I'll just sell my old pc and get the new one. I've thought of upgrading it but, the fact the tech has really become more advance and updated, and you really want to try out the new technology too. What with the new upcoming games.

Ahh, how I wish I was rich or sponsored by any of these companies. One thing though, I really wish they can minimize it all. Imagine, all that powerful tech inside my Nintendo Switch lite. I'll be able to play a super high-end graphic intensive game on the go. Hopefully, the battery will last you the whole day and not just 1 or two hours.

Nintendo Switch Lite - Gray

Have you guys seen the latest Xbox Series X and the PS5? Especially, the PS5, it's so huge. Whatever happens to tech getting smaller and powerful? Look, the Nintendo Switch would probably soon reach 100 million sold, worldwide. It is small and portable does entice gamer like me who likes gaming on the go. In fact, I game on it more than on my Xbox or PC.

I found this interesting article about Nintendo Switch and Call of Duty in 2020. Read it here. But, the fcking Big Boss, I forget his name says that COD won't be available any time soon for the Nintendo Switch. What a prick. There I said it. I'm pretty angry because the way he says it sounds arrogant to me. Let's see how long can he ignored the call for COD to come to the Switch.

Anyway, don't forget to check out my Aftershock gaming pc unboxing video. Pls like, share, and subscribe. It will definitely help grow my blog and youtube channel. I still haven't reached the 1k minimum subscribers to earn any advertising money. Not that I can, even if I reach that minimum requirement. In the old days, I would but they changed the rules again.

By the way, come back a couple of years later, and let's see what new technology will be available for the gaming pc then!
