rain rain go away come again another day | iPhone 13 #rain #rainsounds #rainyday

Hey guys,

Check it out!

The other day, I saw a guy on YouTube talking about using an iPhone as their main camera, instead of buying expensive cameras and lenses for photography and videography. I commented that I've been using several iterations of the iPhone to do that!

I've talked about it on my blog years ago. Since I couldn't afford a camera, using my iPhone was the next best thing. Sometimes, I'd even use my iPad. In fact, using the iPad is much better as the screen is much bigger for editing.

I discovered earlier that the iPhone camera is quite good. I use it mostly for my unboxing videos. I prefer bigger storage spaces. The most important thing was the free editing app available on the iPhone, the iMovie. I love the iMovie app.

Sure, there are many other good so-called 'free' apps. But, they sometimes come with watermarks and are worse now with the trial version. Which really sucks. They used to be totally free. I used to enjoy using the GoPro free app. Now, I don't use them.

I also have a Samsung Android phone. Sometimes, I use it for photography and videography. Now, you can use Google or Samsung free video editing software. They're good, too, and free. But, iMovie is still the main driver for me.

In the early days, my iPhone used to stop working in the middle of my editing like my computer constantly froze. I'd have to redo it again unless I had saved it. It was really exasperating. My computer wasn't the high-end type.

I didn't know it back then but if you want to do heavy video editing, you should get a high-end gaming PC or laptop. They usually offer the best CPU and GPU. The minimum is 16GB of Rams. I'm using my gaming PC right now. That is my main daily driver.

My PC seldom hangs when I use it for video editing. It has 16GB of RAM and has it for over 5 years. Think of upgrading to the latest available. I don't use it for video editing now as I'm running out of storage. Currently, I'm using my Apple Macbook Pro M1 Pro.

The Apple MacBook is good. But, it's damn expensive. I took a plunge as I wanted a good laptop for video editing. As always, it has the iMovie for video editing. That's one of the reasons I decided to get a Mac. I have the 16GB version but if I had the extra dough, I would have chosen with more rams.

The MacBook Pro laptop was useful when I brought it along on vacation. I edited my photos and videos when we returned to our Airbnb house. I didn't have to wait to return home. Check out these videos which I took using my Nikon Zfc and edited on my Mac.

I've been making videos for my YouTube channel for years. There are over 1000 videos. I wasn't into YouTube in the early days. I just upload random stuff. It was only later on that I began to do unboxing videos and learn about video editing etc.

Oh yes, the rain has finally stopped!

What do you guys think?

I decided to buy My New K&F Concept 32L Camera Backpack #camerabackpack

(All links will open up in a new tab.)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I decided to purchase a new bigger size camera backpack. After checking around, I thought the K&F Concept fit the kind of backpack I wanted. After owning the Nikon Z8, I've bought more accessories for it. That's why, I thought, getting a bigger 32L would be useful especially, for travel.

Well, it didn't disappoint. It has two top hard cases. One, at the top and the other near the base. It's good because I'm putting my camera inside the sling bag provided for easy access. I can take the whole bag out or just take out the camera.

There's space beside the sling bag when I put it in horizontally. I use the pads provided to create a section for my top handle and field monitor. Now, I have everything in one place. Currently, I'm using the 28mm lens. If I want to change a lens, it'll be inside the top side of the bag.

I can also put my camera on the top side. Especially, if I'm using the 50-250mm lens. Which is obviously longer. It won't fit inside the sling bag. The reason is, I have the wheel handle on the left side. One of the reasons I like the bag is because you can improvise.

Yesterday, I decided to redo the topside compartments with the pads provided. I needed a flat space for my pouch. I bought it separately as I thought, I could put all the loose items in it for quick access. The backpack has many pockets but it'll be for other things.

I plan to use the backpack when traveling to other countries. I bring luggage but that's mainly for clothes and maybe some souvenirs. My family sometimes uses my extra luggage space for their souvenirs. lol. They like to shop while I'm into taking photos and videos.

When I got the Nikon Zfc, I brought it along to Hatyai Thailand for a week's vacation. It was a total blast. You can watch the video here. The Zfc is a great camera to bring along. It's not heavy. If you bought it with the 28mm SE edition it's a good lens for street photography and videography.

I mainly use the 28mm lens. Once in a while, I'll use the 50-250mm when I need to zoom. A zooming lens gives you that flexibility. For me, traveling is like a job. I'm more interested in taking photos and videos than relaxing and enjoying the vacation.

I do enjoy the experience though. I had great fun there and enjoyed myself taking photos and videos. That's also part of why I decided to get the Nikon Z8. The camera is a hybrid for photography and videography. I'm interested in learning to make cinematic videos.

Now that I have built my camera rig with the Nikon Z8, I can't wait to try it out. I won't be able to use the field monitor or the top handle all the time. The cage, side wheel, and hand straps will help with stability. I also learned from some of the mistakes I made mostly during taking videos.

I've learned and improved a lot and have done some practice videos. Check it out on my channel!
