HP V8H07UT Elite X3 Lap Dock
Hey guys,
Check it out!
I just found out that you might be able to connect your S10+ to the HP V8H07UT X3 Lap dock and use Samsung Dex. And, it's not too expensive. Maybe, because, it's been around for quite awhile now. That would be way cool!
One good thing about this is that, your phone will be the main central computer. And, the laptop will be just an added accessories. Now, you don't have to carry around extra keyboard, mouse and portable monitor.
The HP Elite X3 Lap Dock, is an all-in-one accessory for your S10+. You can link your phone via dual usb-c cable or wirelessly. If you connect it via usb-c cable, you can even charge your phone at the same time. Pretty nifty, don't you think?
Now, that's what I call mobile computing. The S10+ and other phones are getting more powerful and it certainly can be an all-in-one workhorse for you. All you need are the ability to connect it to a projector, large tv or a monitor and you're ready to go.
If only Samsung, will do something like this. The dex pad are very useful and light. You can carry it around and just connect to basically anything. But, if you're on the road and you want a bigger screen with keyboard then something like the HP Lap dock would be nice!
How about it Samsung?

- Go wired or wireless.
- Talk, text and run mobile apps on your HP Elite x3 and work with Windows and corporate apps using Windows Continuum
- Easily extend your HP Elite x3 with a large FHD screen and backlit, spill-resistant keyboard.
- Show and share your work on an external display or projector with the micro HDMI connector, and add your accessories with two USB-C ports.
- Keep working with a generous 46.5 WHr battery, and get your HP Elite x3 back to full battery power with USB-C charging, even when the display is closed.
I'm actually wondering, if Samsung knew about the HP Elite X3. Because, lo and behold, you can pair this with your Samsung phone from an S9, note9 to an S10. Do you remember the Razer phone and laptop dock demo a year or two ago?
The mobile phone are already considered a mini computer inside your pocket. It can pretty much do what a laptop or pc can do right now. You can already check emails, read books, visit website, watch movies and of course listen to music.
You can link up your phone to a projector for a presentation, or watch movies on a bigger tv screen and play your favorite games. Although, you can't compare gaming on a console to a mobile phone, yet. What's worse are that most mobile games are not even a full game with lots of ads and in-purchased.
If good pc games can be ported to android. That's a good start. Imagine, being able to play Diablo or Skyrim on your phone. If you're tired of the small screen, you can just dock it to your laptop dock or to a dex pad.
Right now, there's already bigger storage, 1TB S10+ and microsd card. You can download all the big games you want and play it anytime and anywhere. You don't need a separate computer or laptop with separate hard drive anymore. You have a mini computer right in your pocket!
Are mobile computing the future?
It's been a long journey but we're getting there!
