Well, guys, it's all over. The fight to stay alive is dead. No more new Blackberry phone. Just when everyone is hoping for a new Blackberry Key3 in 2020!

TCL announced that they don't have the license anymore to design and sell any new Blackberry phone. I snipped a part of their announcement. You can read it down below.

Everyone is kinda sad and at a loss right now. I'm even still happily using my Blackberry Classic which I bought last year. I was thinking of getting the Key3 if ever it's going to be out. This latest announcement is really one of the downers in 2020.

How much worst can 2020 be? We just started in Feb. Trump is going to get acquitted (kinda a joke), we have the coronavirus thingy going on, nobody still hasn't spared me Starbucks coffee money. And now, no more new blackberry phone. SAD!

The good news is, there's still a bunch of old Blackberry phones being sold. If you're feeling nostalgic, you can still get them. But, they aren't updated. I'm using my blackberry classic as a second phone. I can't use the latest apps but that's fine by me as it's great for chatting on Whatsapp using the keyboard. It feels nice just to run your fingers over the keyboard.

I had the Q10, Blackberry Bold and Blackberry passport once. I regret selling it. An interesting phone. It was pretty big. The passport was quite popular. I'm not sure why they didn't continue on that design. The only reason could be, they're not making money. A company needs profits to survive.

Okay, let's go there. Should we blame Steve Jobs for the demise of a phone with a keyboard? They didn't think much of the iPhone in the beginning. Boy, were they wrong. Never underestimate the enemy. They should have known that. Especially, in business.

Let's hope the Blackberry phone will come back in the future!

What I Want in Blackberry Key3 in 2020?

I just want to talk about what I want in a Blackberry Key3 in 2020, if ever it's coming out. The reason I want to talk about it is that I've been watching videos of the Blackberry Key2 these past weeks. And, I've never seen the reviewer talk about linking the phone to a portable monitor or big screen Tv. Why is that?

The BB Key2 is supposed to be a business phone for professional and they can't link it up to a portable monitor or Tv? I don't have the phone so I'm not sure if you actually can. I presumed since it's OS is android, you surely can use Microsoft Your Phone companion app to connect wirelessly now.

People have been touting how this phone is not for gaming especially being awkward with the keyboard at the bottom of the screen. The thing is, you can connect your phone to a gaming controller via Bluetooth. And, definitely, if you can connect the phone to a monitor or Tv, you can definitely improve your gaming experience.

The mobile phone is not just a phone anymore, it's a mobile computing device. And, if you're touting how this is for working professionals, you damn sure be able to link up your phone to a monitor so that you can immediately work on your documents on a bigger screen at work or at home.

For that same reason, what I want in a Blackberry Key3 are all those features. Being able to connect my phone to a monitor or Tv and being able to work on documents, checking and replying to emails or even gaming. If they can create something like a Samsung Dex UI, that will be better. I'm pretty sure you can do mirroring. Even my Q10 can do that decades ago.

They also need to upgrade the specs. Better camera with the latest CPU and GPU. With the price of the phone right now, they had better upgrade those mid-range specs. Trying to say, they're doing it so that the battery can last longer is not a good excuse. Heck, you can always recharge it. Especially, since there's a power bank.

The phone touch screen should also be bigger. On the Key2 there are the navigational buttons that will disappear when you don't need it and appear when you need it. Why would you need that when there's gesture control. And, you already have a keyboard. Use it to control. Especially, since there are shortcut buttons available. This will increase the screen size significantly.

I'm thinking of a phone design that has a Note 10+ look at the top and has a blackberry keyboard at the bottom 3rd. With all the bells and whistles included. Now, that will be a perfect phone to own next year in 2020. How bout it blackberry?

Get a controller and link up via Bluetooth. Connect the Key3 via USB C to HDMI to your portable monitor or big screen Tv for gaming. You can even connect and use the phone as a computer. It's mobile computing on the go!

Blackberry needs to expand its phone capabilities. It's a business phone with security but it's also a gaming phone when you want to game. With many games available on Google play store, you're kidding yourself if professionals don't game!

There are definitely games available that you can play with the keyboard. It's actually fun than tapping on the cold glass screen. As I said, the blackberry key2 and future key3 can be use as a gaming device. If you install Retroarch on it, you'll be able to play retro games on it too. Unless you're happy with the current phone. Then by all means!

Blackberry Classic 2014 Vs Samsung Note 10+ 2019 - Need for Speed Most Wanted Gameplay

I've been busy playing around with my Blackberry Classic which came out in 2014, five years ago. I recently bought it to be used as a second phone. And, I'm loving it. It reminds me of my Q10, which I had back then. Miss that phone.

The main difference with the BB Classic from the Q10 is that it's a little bigger and has a touch screen. Read up on my past Q10 post here. I've been searching for a good racing game to play on my Blackberry and finally able to install and play Need for Speed Most Wanted.

I was curious how it'll compare playing the same game on my latest Samsung Note 10+. Which, of course, has more powerful specs. Decided, to make a video and you can see for yourself. It's pretty obvious playing the game on a Note 10+ is much much better. But, the Blackberry Classic ain't no slouch either.

In all, I'm just happy to be able to play NFS Most Wanted on my Blackberry. Remember, Google play store is not available for Blackberry. I had to go through loops to install this game. If you're interested to learn how to install Google play on your Blackberry 10, click here. Advisable to access this site via your phone. You'll be able to immediately download the necessary apk files.

Once, you finished installing and able to go to the google play store, you'll be like a kid in a candy store. But, not all games can be downloaded and played on a Blackberry Classic. Some new games are not compatible with a BB Classic. I was able to download and use Facebook lite and updated Whatsapp. I'm glad, I can play Zen Studios Marvel pinball.

I'm actually now looking at Blackberry Key2. It's an interesting android version of the latest Blackberry phone. I'm hoping Key3 would be better though. The screen can be larger without the navigational buttons below the touch screen. You already have a keyboard. Why you need them? The keyboard is practically why people buy a blackberry phone. Use it!

I'm wondering why Blackberry won't design a 'laptop' phone. You can flip the phone open and includes a larger keyboard. You'll have a bigger touch screen too. It would be great to watch movies, checking emails, gaming and of course for work. Blackberry keyboard are one of the best, definitely, people would appreciate having them.

Samsung already came out with their folding phone. So, if Blackberry does a 'laptop' phone it won't look out of sorts with the latest trend. Only, instead of a double screen that folds together, they'll have a keyboard. Which would be preferred by Blackberry keyboard lover. Frankly, I prefer to chat on WhatsApp with a qwerty keyboard then a touch screen.

Okay, both of phone the design could be better. Thinner, bezel-less touch screen. With full blackberry qwerty keyboard. A touch mouse like the blackberry classic. Able to connect to your pc or laptop via wireless. Samsung dex capability would be nice. How bout it Samsung?

Why isn't this making a comeback anyway?
