Nintendo switch lite Smilebasic4 PETITKEY Digital Keyboard - keyboard support

Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con - HAC-001(-01)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I just discovered yesterday that there's a digital keyboard program called, PetitKey. Created and published on SmileBASIC 4 that can be played with your physical keyboard. There's another keyboard program available but it doesn't have keyboard support. Another app that is not from SmileBASIC, called 'Piano' can be purchase from the eShop. But, it too doesn't have keyboard support.

Almost, all of the games created and published on SmileBASIC 4 don't have mouse and keyboard support. I find it weird because you can use a keyboard when creating programs or games. But, the program itself doesn't have keyboard support. Looking into the smilebasic program itself, there's only manual for coding the relevant buttons. But, nothing on the keyboard.

I just remembered, if you create a text-based RPG game, using SmileBASIC 4, you can definitely play with a keyboard. And, you don't have to code anything. Well, you have to include 'input' in your code. The 'input' code is almost similar to Python.

That's why I loved learning Python and SmileBASIC 4. Whenever I learned something new on Python or on smilebasic, I'll try it out on either of them. The code might be a little different but the execution is the same. It also helps me understand more.

I would really love it if I can learn python on my Nintendo Switch lite. The switch is definitely great for the educational program too. Especially, when you can use a mouse and keyboard just like a computer. I'm still hoping there'll be apps and more programs available instead of just games.

Granted, you can already do all that on a mobile phone. Now, you can use your mobile phone as a computer. There are games, apps, note-taking apps, creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and much much more. In fact, my Samsung Note 10+ is already a mini-computer.

The latest Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G is definitely one of the most powerful phones on the planet. Dock your phone with a Dex Pad to your Tv or portable monitor and you don't even need a laptop or computer anymore.

I've tried using my Samsung phone, the S10+, or Note 10+ as a computer like watching youtube, surfing the net, and even blogging. The Samsung Dex, desktop UI (user interface) will make your phone look like a computer desktop. It's not just mirroring like the Microsoft Your phone app.

My only problem though is not with the phone. But, mobile games. They suck. Unlike the games for mobile, the games for the Nintendo Switch are way much better. First, they have a real physical controller and 2nd, real console-level games.

Yes, the graphics on mobile games are pretty good. But, most of the games are basically, half-fck or like one of the feedback, a dumb-down game. Meaning, you either have to watch ads to continue playing or you have to pay for items in games. Whereas a dumb-down is gaming on a rail with the need for little input or skill.

Also, have you tried tapping on the screen controls? There are times when I lose in a game because I miss the controller location. That is pretty stupid. Like I said, gaming on the Nintendo switch with a controller is way much better. Where you have better feels and a sense of control.

The Nintendo Switch will always be the best portable gaming console. And, I'm not asking it to be a phone. All I'm asking is that for there to be some content for it that is not just games. I enjoy setting up my switch lite with a keyboard and using it as a computer.

You can watch Youtube on the switch and surf the eShop both have keyboard support too. You can use the keys to move around and type for search. My switch lite can't be dock but with the Nintendo Switch, you can. Voila! A gaming console that's also a computer?

You can already actually do all that. If you hack it. Now, Nintendo wouldn't us to do that, right?
