I Stop Playing Mobile Games After Bought Nintendo Switch lite

Nintendo Switch Lite - Gray

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yup! Since the first day I've had my Nintendo Switch lite, I have literally stop playing mobile games. Doesn't mean, I stop using my phone. Just that, for gaming, I prefer playing them on my Switch lite. Which is way much better than on a 'gaming phone'.

The first thing is that I hate touch-base control games. To me, most of those touch-base games are stupid. Why? Because it's touch base, most games are on auto or dumb-down and don't need much interaction or control skills.

Go to google play store and look at the comments. The most complain you'll see is that the game doesn't have controller support and the touch control sucks. It doesn't help that most of the games need you to be online. The reason being, ads. They're full of fckin ads!

I used to spend time downloading tons of games only to find out they don't have controller support. So, I delete them. Yes, they're free-to-play. What's the use if I can't play them when I don't have internet access? I end up playing good old retro games when I'm traveling.

There are times when I'm playing a game, tapping furiously only to realize I'm tapping on an empty space instead of the control. I end up dying or losing at some crucial moment. That really gets me mad. Probably, one of the worst reasons why I hate playing games with touch control.

Even when a game has controller support, it's not really accurate or good. It's pretty much a hit or miss thing. You even have to pay an app just to remap your controller buttons. Which is stupid. Gamers today are not willing to pay for a full games but they're willing to pay for a controller and an app to make it work?

Granted, there are some good mobile games. A few, I still keep on my phone. But, like I've said. I haven't played any since I bought my lite. There are actually mobile games that have been ported to the switch. Asphalt 9 Legends is one of my favorites.

Asphalt 9 Legends is still free-to-play on the Nintendo Switch. Last I heard, they had 3 million-plus downloads. At least, you don't have to watch ads or having one popping up every now and then when you're playing. Of course, right out the bat, you can play with the switch controller.

One thing I hope is that game dev will include keyboard and mouse support for Nintendo switch games. There are Nintendo switch owners who connect their switch to a monitor. Would have been a plus if you can play RPG or shooter games with a keyboard and mouse.

I'm happy that Nintendo has also listened to their customer's feedback and open up its system to more indie game devs.  We are also starting to see triple-A games coming to the switch. Which is like so awesome. Now, there are great collections of popular pc/console games to play on the go!

Recently, I bought myself the 512GB MicroSD card. I've bought and downloaded so many games via eShop online store that I'm running out of space. I'm left with around 135GB. I don't even think if I bought the 1Tb micro sd card, it'll be enough. So, I'm hoping for a 2TB MicroSD card?

If Nintendo expands its eShop to provide movies, music, apps, ebooks, or even podcasts, it'll definitely explode. The Nintendo switch or switch lite is a great entertainment system. Not just for gaming. I even think it's great for education too.

I bought SmileBASIC 4 and FUZE 4 an educational program that teaches you how to code and create your own game. Which is way cool. What will be more cooler is if I can also learn python on the go with my Switch lite. Now, that will be awesome!

Definitely, this is just part of the many reasons why I stop playing mobile games and also why I spend more time on my switch lite. Now, if only Nintendo listens to me about expanding its eShop!?

What you guys think?
