This morning, I read an article about an expat who had been 'advice' to leave Singapore every chance she get. If you ask any Singaporean, most of them will tell you the same thing. It's like a mantra we practice all day long. Ha ha!

But, to her it's a non issue as she thinks that it's not important where you are but what you do with your life that is. Yes, Singapore is getting over-crowded, it's small, it's too competitive, too expensive to live in and blah blah etc.

It's still a country she love to live in. Time to time, she'll travel to other Asian countries for a holiday with her family but even her son ask her why would they have to hassle to other places looking to relax beside an over-crowded pool when they have a better pool at their condo?

I've read other articles about how some other expats open their own business or find work as actress or singers base in Singapore. Venturing out to other Asian countries. To them, Singapore is a great place to live in and work. It's like a goldmine to them. Hey, you go where the money is. True?

The recent Youth Olympic Games (YOG) shows two side of Singaporeans. The Ugly, who finds fault in everything there is about Singapore and the proud Singaporean who in spite of it's flaws still gave their best in everything they do no matter what others say.

It's been on the news for the whole world to see and now with the Internet it's been totally rampant. Just, go to any forum and you'll see plentiful of un-ashamed Singapore bashing. Bahh.. you can't please everyone right?

Personally, I'm happy living in Singapore. Well, not because I'm rich. I know, some say only the rich can afford to live in Singapore. But, I beg to differ. Just, like what one of the expats say, it's really up to you to make your life a living hell or a comfortable place to live in for the rest of your lives.

Although, I'm not rich or successful. I don't shift the blame to the Govt like what some Singaporeans seems to like doing. If you can't succeed in Singapore, then you should blame yourself. If you don't study hard, work hard, live within your means why blame others when you fail or totally in debt?

Why gamble away your life savings in the two new casinos?

Only, idiots will do that. I believe if you're freaking rich and feel like gambling away some of your money 'for fun' then do so. But, if you have family to support, kids to feed or only work as a manager with earnings of only a few thousands why take the risk. For the sake of making a quick buck?

Greed, will bring you nowhere.

Yeah, I know Singapore ain't perfect. So, does the other countries that you think is way better then Singapore. Anywhere, you go in the world there's always something that's going to bug you. Bad politician with bad policies. Cruel dictator. War, famine, drought and what have you. Look, life isn't perfect. All, of us have our own problem.

It's all in your mind.

I'm born and bred here and since I was a boy I've been through a lot. And, I mean a lot. I have a broken nose, long scarred thigh, broken back bone and been in a fist fight couple of times. I'm 38 and still single, not rich and my job suckz. BIG TIME!

Yes, there's pressure and once awhile I do get angry with what's been happening in Singapore. But, there's nowhere else I can go or want to go. This is my land, my country and one day I'll die and be buried somewhere in lim chu kang. IF, there are any more space left by that time.

In short, stop whining and just do it!

If you think you're able to leave Singapore and lead a better life somewhere else then do so. There will always be people who will come and live in Singapore and there will also be people that will choose to leave. It's your personal choice. Whatever, reasons. Good luck!

What do God wants most from you?

So, the other day I was thinking to myself about God. About different religions all that. Yeah, I'm that kind of person who thinks about God and religion almost all of the time. Every time, I watch my favourite shows on History channel bout the Universe, UFOs about humans etc. sometime with my knowledge I know bout religion would make me realize how everything is connected to God. Makes you realize why things happen the way they do.

Right, ok. So, back to my question what do God wants from us?

Absolutely nothing!

Let's think about it. God, didn't ask us to build temple of gold. He doesn't care what you do in this world. You want to fight for land, money, women. You want to be kings and queens?

Heck, you want to be conqueror of countries, civilizations and the human species. God, let you choose and decide. Everyone, have their own agenda in this world. But, the only one thing that God wants from you is to acknowledge that He is your God!

That's it!

To think of Him constantly. To say daily prayer to Him throughout the day. And, in those prayer to seeks solace, forgiveness, patients etc.

But, why is it so difficult for us to do that?

Why do some people still doesn't believe in God?

God is not asking you to fight each other for gold, land or women or anything. He doesn't need all that stuff because, He is the provider and doesn't need you to provide him. He provides you with land, with seas full of fishes and marine life that can sustains you with food for eternity!

He provide you with water, with air to breathe, with meat and mild to drink so that you can live a healthy and blissful life. Let's face it, life here could be heaven on earth but we choose to destroy ourselves. We choose to fight over limited land and food. Whereas, all this doesn't really belong to any of us. It belongs to God. He owns the land, the sea and the whole Universe for that matter. He wants you to share. If the world doesn't have boundaries wouldn't it be good for mankind?

There'll be no war and famines. There'll be no you or me. There'll be only us!

God, give us free will. He let us govern ourselves and we think, we're better then God. That's what happen to human. A little bit of land and we think we think we are kings!

Well, God is KING of kings!

He is the master of all the lands, seas and the Universe!

But, what does he ask of you?

Absolutely, nothing but quiet allegiance to Him. And, what do we get in return if we do that?

Heaven. Hopefully, heaven on earth and the after life. He gives you more then what you get in this pitiful earth.

Think about it people. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Holy Sh*t! I'm 38!

Yup!

Whoa!

First off, august 9th was my birthday and now I'm fully 38. And, in 2 years time I'll be 40!

Wow! It just blows my mind that I'll soon be that OOoooldd ..haha!

Truly, to think back all those years that had passed. The good and the bad. A whole lot of sh*t been happening in my life. But, as they say ..life goes on. Sometime, though. I wonder if it's worth it going on. Bleh ..it's just sh*t talking.

I haven't post on my blog since like forever!

There's some certain things that I just stop doing and just didn't have the time or the mood to post anything. For one thing I stop doing my internet marketing online. But, since I'm on the subject if you're looking for some way to make money online then I recommend you start learning here. I've been with this company for so loOonnngg. The CEO by the way is dead in a car crash but the thing is, his company is still making money online!

I'm feelin kind of new today

So, it's my birthday today. And, I feel kind of new today. I don't know why. The feeling is as if it's another new beginning for me, I guess. New age, new day, new adventures. I do feel like I want everything to be new. Like maybe, it's time for a new girlfriend? Haha!

I also want a new handphone, not need but want. I want new cloth, a new laptop (I'm typing on my 'old' Eee pc) and basically everything new. Out with the old and in with the new!

Sometimes, in life, new changes are needed. Some, try to resist change in their life but for me? Nope. I like new changes in my life once in a while. Things, kind of get old pretty fast nowadays anyway right?

I've been bored with my life for a while now. I need to do new things. But, I'm still wondering what. I look around and there's really not much to do or anything new. I do like my new iPhone though. Okay, not so new now since the iPhone 3G S is out. But, I like the fact that there's basically new games coming out practically every day for the iPhone.

I like visiting http://toucharcade.com every day to check out if there's any new game on the App store. I'm still wondering if there's any new FPS for the iPhone. There's one coming up new from Gameloft. Really looking forward to it. I hope it won't disappoint though.

I guess I like to read about new tech stuff news too. Especially, new gadgets. I like visiting http://engadget.com and http://www.cnet.com. These are just some of the sites I like visiting everyday 'cause you never know what new things you can discover.

Talking about discovering new stuff online, I also like watching History Channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, etc. They offer new stuff for me to learn and it's pretty interesting. I like the show about the Universe or about life millions of years ago, about the past world where we didn't know exist. We are basically living in worlds within worlds!

Think about it, when we think we already know or see all the things in life then life surprises us with new info and new knowledge. Well, it's not really surprising. God, already stated that if you cut all the trees on earth to use as pens and all the water on earth as inks, it's still not enough to write all the knowledge that there is.

There's nothing static in life and we will keep moving on even after we are dead. It makes you think, doesn't it?

Ahhh... the wonder of life. I guess I was wrong, there are still new things to be discovered in my life and I just need to get off my butt. Haha!

Don't lose your soul

So, you know, I've been people watching. Actually, I like to study human in general. Not, for any school paper or work but just as a personal interest. You, see, it's true. Everyday, I see people doing exercises in the gym, then I also see parents sending their child to swimming classes, ballet classes. In the morning they would attend pilate or whatever. There was also this one time a mother told me how her children has all this classes that they attend to and they have no time to play with a friend daughter. Obviously, all this classes is important to her and what she think is for her children. I'm not sure her children actually agree with her. But, hey, what do I know all this people who has money to burn?

Okay, so? You may ask. If you notice one thing and that is what's happening around us right now is they are only doing what's best for them in this world. They are only exercising to be fit, to have a better figure, to look well and feel great. It's all for the physical world. What kind of training or classes are they doing or attending for the betterment of their inner being? Their soul? I'll tell you, absolutely nothing!

I used to exercise in the gym and I can tell you, it's not all physical and mental training that we do. We do our own cleaning, we take care of the gym, to us or me, the gym have a soul and we should respect it. To me it's a kind of Zen. We learn how to be humble and not show off our physical assets. Yeah, we compliment each other but we respect each other, we respect those equipments. We wipe it clean with a towel every time we finish using it. We return the dumbells and the bar bells to it's places. But, I don't see all that anymore. People, just leave stuff all over the place without returning to its rightful stand. They don't care how messy the place looks and it's even dangerous as people need to walk around the gym without tripping over on dumbells.

They just took their keys and dump their water bottle and go off without even the thought of switching off the lights or the fans since they are the last person using the gym. I mean, can you see what kind of people they are?

If they have a personal trainer, I realized they didn't even bother to advice or teach their client how and why they should respect the gym. I mean, people do get hurt and I know if you don't respect it, it can certainly hurt you. Damn, idiots. Doesn't even have basic common sense!?

Don't they know there are other human beings who used the gym?

It makes me angry how inconsiderate all these people are. How they don't respect the gym, the other users etc. That's why I'm saying all these people really don't know the essence of the soul and they're just happy with what they see in the mirror every day. They are but an empty shell. Empty soul. Whose only interested in the mundace physical world. They are incomplete. Truly, I can't respect somebody who doesn't respect anyone else beside themselves.

All, I'm saying is, people keep saying the end of the world is coming. And, I already see the end before it even begin. If these kind of emptyness is creeping into everyone then the world might as well end right now. Remember, all those stupid classes you send your children or you yourself attend to are useless if you still lose your soul in the end. It's no use if you are the richest man in the world or the strongest but if you lose your soul. You will feel empty, you will still feel sad or useless cause, your inner beings are not taken care of. That's why some people keep doing what they do and still feel they need to do more cause they still feel empty even with all the success that they achieved. Even, having a mountain of gold they'll still feel it's not enough!

Having a good life doesn't mean, you're at the beach, sipping nice cold ice lemon tea. You can still have it good if your soul feel good and content with what you have. You feel happy playing with your grandson, having a nice dinner outing with your girlfriend or whatever that makes you happy.

So, how do you feed your soul and teach it and fill it full unlike the physical world?

To me, it's religion. Some people may beg to differ but I can tell you, even if you say you doesn't feel fulfilled with religion it's because maybe you're in the wrong one? Or, you haven't really learned it. It's not just about reading old text. It's about understanding what religion is. What it teaches. The truth behind all those written words. But, that's another story. You'll have to do your own research. Read, the story behind it. Understand it, learn and understand the meaning behind all those stories told.

Religion doesn't ask you to sacrifice yourself, your wealth and give it to your 'leader'. If you have more, you give a little back to society. If you're not rich then you can contribute by giving a helping hand to an old lady crossing the road. You can be nice to another person or whatever. You can help a person in need or maybe help your neighbour, a school mate. Religion feed your soul with wholesome goodness and can lift up your spirit. Sometime, you need a break from your hectic working or school schedule and look around you. Be free from the binding world that only pulling you closer to your grave. Why do some people die young? Because, their soul are empty and easily being led to destroy themselves. Teach, your children religion. Teach your children not just ballet or swimming classes but how to feed and fill their mental and heart with dedication to the survival of the human race. Teach them about GOD.

We can't avoid doomsday but they say we can hold it off much much longer if we cleanse our soul and teach our children and their childrens children the reality about religion and God. Don't just hanker over physical health, money and wealth or the world. They don't last forever. God does..

I don't know why I'm being nostalgic but the past few days I've been digging old songs that I've heard since I was a kid. I especially like Cat Stevens Father and Son. But, here's another song I like. I thought it was from Boney M, a band which I like too but it was actually from another band I didn't know exist!

Anyway, I was a kid back then and most of it I heard from a radio or from my dad's collection. Actually, I can't exactly remember where I first heard this song!?

It's been in my head for so 30 odd years!

There are still poor homeless people, new diseases, Africa is still in turmoil, new wars, corporate corruption, corrupt government, military ruled country n blah blah..shit!

But, I guess, he's just doing his part trying to help through his music.
