I saw this robot dog, Freenove Robot Dog Kit for Raspberry Pi that reminds me of the one created and designed by Boston Dynamics. This is a cool way to make and play with your own robot dog. Learning how to code and assemble the parts. This is especially good for the kids as their brains can learn things pretty fast.

I'm pretty sure the military and even the police would be interested in this. Not, that they didn't know already. Probably, funded by them in some shape or form (I'm speculating). This type of machine reminds you of the movie robocop. Well, of course, it can be used for the civilian too. But, I'm pretty sure, it's going to be more than a pet.

Has the age of AI and robots arrived? I have actually posted about robot dogs before. They could be your security dog one day. They could be your kid's pet dogs too. Of course, all these robots are cold and they don't actually have feelings. Do they? You can't compare with having a real pet that lives and breathes. That's also soft to cuddle and play with.

Even if they don't feel, we humans do. Have you ever had to throw toys or stuff that you have been using and hard to let go of? For me, even if AI evolved and becomes smarter than a human, one thing they'll never have is a real soul. That's something only God has the power to give. I believe in science, but I also believe in God. Faith is distinctions that differentiate us from other beings or things.

It's really fun to play with a raspberry pi or an Arduino. If only they were available decades ago when I was still in school. I still remember the first time, I touch a computer in a military show of all places. Decades later, I had the chance to learn and use a computer at work. That's also when I bought my first computer. For some reason, I feel comfortable using a computer back then.

I know people that are resistant to the computer. My late father didn't even have a smartphone. He doesn't know that we can use WhatsApp to video call. One day, my bro-in-law sis visit him and they video called my sis from my dad's house, he was surprised that we can do that. That's when he also wanted to try it out. But, doesn't understand how it all works. Lol.

That's why I say, kids nowadays are lucky that all these technology have grown and are at a pretty advanced stage. Boston Dynamics already selling their Robodog, and there's the flying man with a just booster at his back and hands. There's going to be a flying taxi soon and things going to be interesting in the next decades. 

One thing though, it seems, getting to see man first spaceship is still too far away. We still haven't even occupied the moon. Yet, we're aiming for Mars. Space exploration and exploitation are still too advanced of technology for us humans. Well, that's why I think with all these new toys and coding the kids of today, could be the engineers of tomorrow. 

We need lots of them and people say it's a waste of money when it'll give people jobs and something far to aim for. Imagine all the ways people will need to learn how to grow food and re-use of water. We will need many engineers, survivalist, doctors, etc. Just like the earlier pioneers of earth, there'll be eager pioneers to explore the universe. Wouldn't that be something cool to look forward too?

I'm not sure if I actually will see that in my time though.

You can do so many things with it. The only limit is your imaginations!

The raspberry pi have really ignited my curiosity and back into checking out linux again. The last time, I remembered playing around with ubuntu was almost 10+ years ago. I had bought an Eee pc with a version of linux on it. Went on to install several versions of ubuntu for netbook and even windows xp.

I know the Raspberry pi have been out for couple of years now but, it's only just the beginning of a new revolution. Children nowadays, are learning about computer, coding and programming at school in a fun way!

If they had the pi back when I was in school, and teaching us about coding while playing games, I would have been more interested. Not that, I wasn't already interested in computer but, I didn't really got the chance to go into it.

I only managed to learn to use the computer in the mid 90s at work. And, finally bought one by paying a monthly installment. It almost cost me 3 month paycheck. But, since I was still young, I learned quite fast and dabbled with windows 3.1, 95, 98 etc.

The price of the Raspberry pi 3 are really the one that will help more children at school to learn computing. Especially, those in 3rd world country. Although, the price of laptops and desktop have gone down but, we have to remember not everyone can afford it.

I've already bought three raspberry pi 3 myself. One, using it to play retro games and entertainment on my Tv. Another, using it as a tablet installed with Raspbian. And, the third for my smart robot project. I've tried installing, Ubuntu-Mate for the pi. But, end up going back to installing the latest version of Raspbian stretch.

I'm still dabbling around with Raspbian and checking out some of the old programs and games that I used to download and play around with. Of course, there are a many projects out there that you can try out. Just go to Raspberrypi.org

Lots of cool stuff you can do!

Definitely, there are so many packages available that you can buy and try out. Like I've said before, the only limit are your imaginations. You can build your own music system for your main hall room. Control appliances, set up security system with camera and much more!

How bout building a roaming robot with camera that patrol your house while you're away. That will send a message to you if there's an intruder and you can take a look on your phone via its camera. It can set out alarm or immediately called the police. Way cool!

The children of today will be the techies of tomorrow!

Can Aliens build spaceship?

I believe, I have talk about this subject couple of years back, on my blog (click here to read old post). People been talking about aliens visiting and most of them describe the alien that look like the greys. The only problem is that, looking at their physical form, I wonder if they can actually build anything that can even fly!?

They are mostly describe as tall or lanky with big head, big eyes and small slit as a mouth. They also seem to have long arms and legs. And, also have long fingers. If you think about their physical form and movement, you'll be wondering can this thing build anything?

You'll imagine them to be clumsy and slow. Before, anybody or any aliens thinking of flying off in a spaceship, they have to start somewhere and they have to build vehicles to go anywhere. For me, I can't see these grey aliens building anything.

To build a spaceship, you need to do a whole lot of things and thinking to do. I don't disagree that the aliens might be million time smarter then us, they have to be. We human, still haven't build any kind of vehicle that can bring us to mars and back. We have been to the moon, conspiracy theories might think not.

They need to be able to build computers, wiring and coding. Okay, I know maybe some of these Aliens have ways either then using their physical form to build anything. But, can you imagine the works that need to be done to put things together?

Unless, they look like the 'engineers' in the covenant movie, then I'll agree. They are big and they have body form that almost look like us. But, if you're talking about the greys then I don't believe they're the one that's paying us a visit.

I dream, I went to the moon. A motivational dream?

Hey guys,

I just had the weirdest dream, ever!

I dreamt with my own ship I fly off to the moon!

Together, with an old friend of mine, I pilot the ship up to the sky. Well, I was a little afraid, so I didn't manage to get past through our atmosphere at first. I tried a second time. I thought, I've failed again but finally, the clouds began to thin and I was off to the moon!

When, we finally reach and landed on the moon, another weird thing that I noticed is that the moon is already populated by a bunch of human caretakers. I also noticed that they are all Singaporeans!!

On the moon, we didn't have to worry about breathing as the atmosphere are like earth. With, all the trees and houses. Oh yeah, and a few weird ornaments.

Kind to think of it, I feel like a tourist there. We even had a kind of a craft that we control using booster rocket to move front and backwards.

After awhile of looking around, I finally wake up from my dreamzz..

Weird, huh!??

Up till now, I'm still wondering, why the heck did I had that dream?

I've never thought or dream of going to the moon. But, yesterday, I did watch a show called Top Gear. A show about cars and on this particular show, the guys were given task to drive through the African salt desert to the country border.

On reaching their final destination, they get to see a beautiful red moon. At first, I thought it was the Sun but it's actually the moon that turns red because of the dusty African plane.

Furthermore, the friend that I went with was my old schoolmate, that I haven't met for some time. He came over my place maybe a couple of months back. But, I haven't seen him since.

A friend of mine told me that maybe because, I'm going to meet an old friend soon. Well, to me, I thought it's kind of a metaphor for me. Maybe, finally, I'm reaching my own dream too?

We all have dreams don't we?

What is your dream? Do you dream of being successful? Dream of getting that job or that post?

Sometime, in life we give up too easily. But, maybe, it's not meant to be?

When should we give up?

Should we give up?

Ahh ..life is so un-predictable. Guess, if life is predictable then where's the fun right?

Can Alien build a Spaceship?

As promised, the other day. I told you readers, if any, that I'm going to talk about aliens!

Ha ha. I know, what's with the question?

Well, I like reading about UFOs and stuff. I also like watching movies about aliens phenomena or whatever. One question that pop up in my mind watching all the movies is that how did or can they build such big/small spaceships in the first place?

Just look at the aliens in all those movies. Look at their physics. Look at their fingers. If any. They are very much different physically then us. Personally, I have problem holding tools and putting wires together with my hands. I can get cramped just holding the newspaper to read!

So, how in the world can these aliens build any freaking thing, you wonder. And, can they even type in a keyboard or something to create complex codes for their computerized system?

MIT for aliens anyone?

Here's a joke, do alien blog? Ha ha!

Okay, okay!

I know, if they exist, in a sense they would have to follow the universal laws. We all live in the same universe right? They would have also known or have to learn about mathematical calculations (calculation of moons circling their planet for example), about the universe, about gravity, about engineering and so on. Because, our universe is govern by laws that already exist or set. Personally, I believe GOD set those laws. If not, the universe would be in total chaos! But, that's another matter. So, in a sense everything works the same way anywhere out there in the universe right now.

If any aliens wants to conquer us, and come to our solar system, they have got to have the intelligent, the skill, the technology, the physicality to build freaking BIG spaceships and weapons of mass destruction. They would have to know about the law of the atoms, they would have to learn about oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and whatever gas there is out there. They might not have the same physical characteristics as us as the world they live in might be totally different. Certainly, their physical traits would have been something that allow them to become builders of houses and machines. How can they build spaceships without all these knowledge and abilities?

So, all this is very complicated. If you're wondering why there's no sign of alien that can be found until now, then maybe there aren't any or they're too far away or that they are not as intelligent as us. Maybe, they don't have the physical form to build anything much less a spaceship. They might be in a form of an animal. Maybe in the form of worms, fungus, bacteria or whatever is out there. I think the environment that surround them would have help in their creation or evolution into lifeforms. Into thinking beings?

But, in spite of that. I believe in this universe that we're living in, there's nothing impossible. We can't close our mind to the possibility of life out there beside earth. Who knows right?

Life always find a way to exist in any kind of environments (National Geographic.. he he). Maybe, there's a kind of animal that's floating around up there outside earth. Maybe, there's something living inside the Sun. Life exist in such unexpected places. Because, we can't close our mind to any kind of possibility. The problem or questions would ultimately come back to us. It will show why we are here. Why are we able to live and cope in this world. Why do we even exist?

Yeah, there's a master plan to all of this. What's that? Maybe, you should think about that for yourself eh?

You might enlightened yourself.
