Ces 2021 RazerStore LIVE Exclusive News and Products Announcement

Razer Blade 15 Advanced Gaming Laptop 2020: Intel Core i7-10875H 8-Core, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q, 15.6” FHD 300Hz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, CNC Aluminum, Chroma RGB Lighting, Thunderbolt 3

Hey guys,

Check it out!

You've probably watched live the Razer Ces 2021 on their latest news and product announcement. I'm not going to talk about everything that's been announced though. Especially, since, I skipped here and there. They talk about last year's products and collaboration with other companies. This year, it's kinda the same. With new collabs.

The updates that interest me the most is that just as with Asus ROG laptops, the Nvidia RTX 30 series GPU will be coming to the latest Razer's. This makes me think how powerful the laptop has become. Comparable to a gaming desktop. To have all that on a portable machine is really a feat itself. But, as always, I wonder about the heat and how long can the battery last?

I've never actually owned a Razer laptop. Well, I almost got myself the Razer Blade Stealth. They were offering some music software that could really be useful for making background music for my youtube videos. Even with the kind of specs they offered back then compared to now, I'll probably still be using it today.

I'm actually looking for something like the Microsoft Surface Pro. Which is kinda like a tablet. But, with Windows 10. I think this kinda form really suits what I'm doing as a Youtuber and a blogger. Currently, my main device to take videos, pictures, and editing is my iPad pro. The iPad Pro also has iMovie and Garageband. Which is a plus.

What I mean with the tablet form is that I can put it in a holder on my tripod and use the camera to take my videos. Even if you have a 2-in-1 laptop, which I do, when you fold it, it's either too thick or the camera is blocked. Also, most laptop camera sucks and there's only one facing you. The surface pro is just like my iPad only, I can't find any good FREE video editing software like the old Movie Maker.

I've never owned a Surface Pro, so, I'm not sure how good or smooth it is. How good is the camera? Will, it hangs or stutters while I'm editing my videos? I don't want to be like the old days when I had a Pentium pc with less than 4 GB of rams. It used to freeze so much. Sometimes, it will hang just trying to load the videos.

What I'm getting at is that Razer should create something like the Surface Pro + Ipad pro, combined into one product that will be great for my work. Of course, it has to be able to play the latest games too. With big storage, the latest RTX GPU, and a powerful processor. Either by AMD or Intel. Although, nowadays, I'm more inclined to AMD Ryzen.

I have an HP AMD Ryzen 7 laptop with  RX Vega 10 mobile GPU. I opened it up and was really surprised by how thin the motherboard was. No wonder it's light and pretty slim. Although, it does get hot. Even if I'm just watching movies or youtube. I wonder if that new cooling paste that Asus is using for their new laptop will help with the heat dissipation.

Razer actually made the Razer Edge. It was probably the most powerful, Windows 10 gaming tablet back then. I don't know what happened to that project. It's the same as their Razer phone. Which I used to own. In spite of all the problems they had, I really like the design. I like the rectangular size, it was made of some kind of metal and smooth to the touch.

I like the Razer phone so much, I was wondering if they're gonna do like what Apple did and do a tablet version of the phone. In fact, they should do that same design with the speakers at the top and bottom. When you're playing games, it'll fit nicely with a mobile game controller like the Razer Kishi. If any company can do a tablet, Windows 10, portable gaming console, it'll be Razer.

I'm surprised that Razer has stop production or improved on their gaming tablet and gaming phone. Well, I guess, I'll just have to wait and see if anybody can build gaming windows 10 tablet with the kind of specs and design that I want. So that I can use it to take my videos and pictures with a better camera and also immediately edit it without the hassle to transfer them to another pc or laptop.

Having an all-in-one device for Youtuber and blogger like me would be nice!

Razer Edge: The World's First Tablet Designed for PC Gamers

Razer Edge: The World's First Tablet Designed for PC Gamers

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure many of you have already seen the latest offering by Razer, the Razer Edge - gaming laptop in a tablet form.

I haven't been stoke about a product as much as this tablet. The reason being, I've been wanting a portable gaming laptop for so long, that's why I bought my current Alienware m14x (r1). It's still my main gaming rig. I'm actually typing this article on it right now. Nice, springy keyboard, I might add.

My m14x r1. Alienware tablet on the horizon maybe?

I have always love laptops (my first laptop was a Compaq more then 15 yrs ago!) more then a desktop mainly of course, because of it's portability. Also, I realized that every time I use the battery when normal surfing, it actually save on my electricity bills. Lol. Recently, I've bought an iPad for the same reason. I pretty much love it. It's so light, quick to access and you can use it basically everywhere. My only biff is that, you can't play the latest games like my favorite Dirt 2 or any modern FPS games on it. Ok, I play some FB games and even that I can't play some of it on my iPad because Apple don't like flash!

My 16gb iPad. I have more games then I can download on it!

That's why, I really like the Razer Edge gaming laptop in a freaking tablet form!

It's portable, it only weigh around 2 pounds. It's on SSD, which is pretty fast. Hate, that it's only 256Gb. I like to have my whole Steam games collections downloaded but you can't with just a 256Gb size. A windows 8 with touch screen. I have only heard or read bad things about W8 but I like trying out new things. The other day, I played with a HTC win phones and I kinda like it. It's different then what's android UI offering. I guess, windows 8 aren't that all bad, right?

Some gamer say that the Razer Edge are too expensive or the battery die out faster then you can reload your mp4. But, I see the Razer Edge as like any other portable gaming laptop. The battery will always suckz, BIG time. Unless, someone can come out with a better battery solution that can last as long as you would like to game on it then, you can't do much about it. Razer, are offering accessories like the console controller and keyboard dock with extra battery pack. So, at least it add a bit of more playable time to it. You'll have to come out with more dough though.

Right now, Razer doesn't have any competition for the 'gaming tablet' category. But, I'm wondering if Alienware or Dell looking at this niche market? I'll bet that they're waiting to see if Razer Edge gonna be a hit. I won't be surprise if Origin, Asus or any other company specialized in gaming laptop is looking at it too. Things, might just get interesting in the future. Yay, for consumers!

For now, I won't be able to get my hands on the Razer Edge (unless, any razer pr reading this wanna surprise me with one) as it's only on sale in the U.S. and Canada. But, I'll be patient for now. Hey, patience is a virtue ay?

If it's on sale in my country, I'll certainly get the Razer Edge Pro. I'm a tech freak, so, I want this! Lol.

I'll definitely post video game play on my Razer Edge just like I did for my Alienware m14x. Until then, I'll just oggle it on youtube. For those of you living in the U.S. or Canada you can get it or order it online now at Razer main site.
