this could be the last time i ride a bike #gravelbike #mountainbike #roadbike

Hey guys,

Check it out!

This could be the last time I ride a bike. It's been almost two months and I still can't bend my left knee. Maybe, I'm getting old. It used to heal after over a week or so. But, after I came back from my thailand holiday, it won't heal. I can't even cycle to work anymore.

My last ride was last month. I've wanted to test-ride my new carbon fiber hybrid gravel bike. I also wanted to try out a new cycling route. Before that, it had been over a month since I had cycled. The route back was too far, over 65km.

As I haven't done any cycling for over a month because of my knee problem, I started to strain and cramps. I walked for a while pushing my bike till able to cycle again. I should have tested the bike before attempting the long route.

The seat was too high and my wrist started to feel pain. I already had a problem with my wrists. When I had covid, I had high fevers and it attacked all my joints. It's like it knows I've been having problems with them. Guess, when you're getting old, it all comes back to haunt you.

I've been using oilments, inflammation gel, and knee joint supplements. It works at first. That's how I was able to test-ride my new bike gravel bike. But, I've been struggling to heal my left knee again after that long ride. Was I wrong to overstrain my legs too early?

Maybe, so. Now, I have to bear the consequences. I might have taken my knee problem too lightly. In fact, now, my feet are swollen. I don't even know why. It's not the first time I've had a swollen foot. It's because I've been kicking things when I was angry before.

Well, if you've kicked a wooden chair, you'll know it's gonna get swollen. But, I didn't even do anything. That's why, I'm perplexed. Yesterday, I remembered my late dad had the same swollen foot problem. And, it's because of diabetes

I'm wondering if I have diabetes or even gout? The old man at work told me I might have gout. He advised me to have a blood test. My friend said maybe it's gout too. I don't know anything about diabetes or gout. The last thing I want to do is see a doctor or a knee specialist.

So much for cycling as a form of low-impact exercise. Now, I can't even bend my left knee anymore. The thing is, I did start to feel pain in both my knees and the strain around it. Though I cycled to work every day, it wasn't that far. I was getting fitter and able to cycle far and up slopes.

To be clear, I already had a problem with my knees even before I started cycling again. I trained in TKD, played soccer, did gym, and joined the military. It was only after I started working that I stopped doing any kind of exercise. I even had a slipped disc.

Anyway, I hope my knee will get better and I can start to ride again. Missing it!

insta360 x3 4K test ride my new carbon fiber hybrid straight handlebar gravel bike

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I couldn't test my new carbon fiber hybrid straight handlebar gravel bike for over a month because I had a problem with my left knee. Now, that it got better, I decided to try a new cycling route with it. Then again, I shouldn't have?

It was quite a distance and I started to have cramps before reaching it. I should have tested it before going for the long ride. Turn out, the seat was too high. I began to have neck and wrist pains because of it. Other than that, the bike works really well!

I wasn't sure about not having a front suspension but the tyres make it up for it. People kept asking me what the tire's size and I told them it was 700x40c. The aero design makes it a smooth fast ride. Well, that's what I'm assuming anyway.

I've said this in my other post but I love the smooth carbon fiber frame. I'm lucky that I didn't scratch it when I fell. Hurt my left knee but I continue to cycle back home. Going up-slope was a breeze as the 11-speed cassette gear Sram change worked well.

I'm not a strong rider and haven't cycled for a month, I didn't want to over-exert myself. As a mostly leisurely urban rider, hybrid bikes work well. I can go on gravel, pathways, dirt roads, and whatever. I have a slip disc, hence I opt for a straight handlebar. It also offers better control.

This is my first time using a full hydraulic brake and I like it. Works well, so far. Maybe, too well. I almost, fly over the bar when I pulled an emergency brake. Need to get used to it. I'm not sure how to maintain it though. When the time comes, I'll learn then.

The carbon fiber frame is pretty light too. If I remember, it's around over 9kg. It feels rigid and strong. I didn't measure the handlebar length but it seems wide and comfortable enough for me. I don't have any preferences. As long as it's 720mm and below.

The bike frame is designed like a road bike so they're using a bike stem with cable running through it. It makes the bike look clean and smooth. But, it came out via the stem to the brakes and shifter. I didn't check what kind of shifter they installed and had to adjust the location for my thumb easy reach.

As a whole, I'm really satisfied with the bike. Love the design, glossy white color, great brakes, and shifters. Feels good to hold the handlebar with PU leather bike grips. The 700x40c tires are very comfortable to ride on too.

I'm hoping my knee will get well soon so that I can go ride my new carbon hybrid gravel bike again. Such a joy!

my new carbon fibred hybrid straight handlebar gravel bike #hybridbike

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I decided to finally get myself a gravel hybrid bike. I searched around and finally decided to get the first version of the Twitter V1. You can get it from their main online store shop @ Aliexpress here. They actually have the latest version but didn't have the white color.

Even though this hybrid bike is the first version, I love the smooth and aero design. The white version is really nice. I also opt for a straight handlebar instead of a drop bar. I have a slip disc and everyone keeps telling me, I should get a bike with a straight bar instead.

It is more comfortable to sit up straight rather than hunch over. But, sometimes, I'll miss the drop bar when I want to go for speed. Feels more comfortable holding the drop compared to just a straight bar. Anyway, it's not as if I don't have a road bike

Above are some of the photos I took while unboxing and fixing the bike. I didn't have to do much as the back tire was already fixed and probably tuned. The handlebar was already fixed with the front and rear brakes. The front tire was straightforward.

I had to cut the seatpost around an inch as it was too high for me. Changed the seat to a white color by West Biking. It's an 11-speed with 700x40c thick tires. Full hydraulic brakes which is my first. I worry about the maintenance. Carbon fiber frame and fork. SRAM NX-11S. SUNSHINE-11S,11-42T.

I haven't test-ridden the bike yet as my left knee still giving me problems. Already been a month. I can bend my knee but there's still pain so, it's not totally healed. I don't think it will ever heal as I feel it could easily be twisted. That's why I have to be careful just doing everyday things.

I'm trying out some knee-joint vitamins and hope it'll help heal my problematic knees. Maybe, I'll go out cycling again by the weekend or next week. Been feeling kinda bored after a month of non-cycling activity. I'm also thinking of going hiking at my local nature parks.
