Nikon Coolpix P950 Night Camera sample pictures at Bedok Reservoir Park

Nikon COOLPIX P950

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I had planned to go to a reservoir park after work to try to get some sunset pictures either with my iPhone, Samsung S22+, or my Nikon Coolpix P950 camera. I was hoping to finally use the magene cadence, speed, and heart rate sensor but having a problem re-connecting them.

I also had a problem putting the speed sensor on my Raleigh mountain bike's rear wheel. That damn rubber and the spoke blocking my hands. I was in a hurry trying to get everything ready but end up not using them except for the heart rate sensor which I thought was working.

Nikon COOLPIX P950

I only realize when I reached home later that the heart rate sensor disconnected leaving me frustrated with no data of any kind. Even my magene c406 bike computer keep pausing and not recording. I had to manually re-press the record button while cycling.

It's kinda weird that it records correctly the route that I took but the data is all wrong. I didn't have the proper speed or cadence. I'm wondering if it's because I connected my speed and cadence sensor but I didn't put it on the bike. That's why it's all wrong.

I need to do a proper test of the bike computer and the sensors to see how it really works. I was in a hurry yesterday because I'm only able to go cycling after work and thought, I have prepared everything earlier. Also, I've only just received my magene heart rate sensor.

Well, I went ahead and did a quick check, re-setup of my HR aka heart rate sensor, and this time I bind it to the bike computer. I also edit and customized its first page to show my latest heart bpm. I think yesterday, I didn't bind it to the bike computer that's why it doesn't work properly.

I thought, I just need to connect it to the iPhone app and it'll all work out. Such a waste. Yesterday's ride was a little tough with a lot of little slopes. It'll be interesting to have a read of my maximum bpm. Guess, I can do a proper sensor test next Sat or Sunday.

I'm not a health freak but I'm beginning to have fun using all these sensors to see how I'm doing. Of course, my data won't be as good as the young and pro athletes but still knowing how you level up with them is interesting, to say the least.

I'm even feeling muscle growth in my legs. But, I really need to do more exercise for my bloody tummy. It seems to get bigger and wider no matter what I do. Anyway, yesterday I learn a new cycling route. I won't need to see Google Maps reach there again.

By the way, check out some of these pics taken with my Nikon Coolpix P950. You can use it for night photography, but you'll need to save it in raw and edit it later. I was lazy so I just use jpeg. But, later I edit the brightness and contrast to make it as bright and sharp as my iPhone.

The two pictures above were taken with my iPhone 13 camera. It's actually way better than my Nikon Coolpix p950. Which isn't as bright and clear as this. The iPhone camera definitely has a better processor but the p950 has good long-range zoom capabilities.

I love cycling and I also love taking pictures of places I visit. I don't just bring my P950 but my GoPro Hero 10 and of course my phones. Each of them suits certain situations of how I want to go about taking pictures and videos. Subscribe to my blog and youtube channel to join my latest adventures!

done! change new road bike R87 Titanium promend pedals #shorts

ROCKBROS Advanced 4 Bearings Mountain Bike Pedals Platform Bicycle Flat Alloy Pedals 9/16"

Hey guys,

Check it out!

My new PROMEND R87 titanium road bike pedals arrived and I immediately go to work fitting them to my Java Veloce road bike. Yes, I know, it's not the road bike pedal with cleats. As I've explained in my last blog post, I don't have road bike shoes and I mostly cycle to nature parks and beaches.

I like visiting those places and taking pictures. Walking around in a road bike shoe with cleats won't be practical. I don't even like wearing those road cycling shirts and shorts. Though, I'm thinking of trying it out maybe in the future. Check out some of the places I've been to in this video.

Well, I tested my new pedal on my Java Veloce road bike and it actually feels good. It's a little smaller than a mountain bike version. On my commute to work, there is a lot of stops so, wearing shoes with cleats would be troublesome.

I also don't ride on the roadside but on the pathway. So, it's a slow ride having to navigate through people hogging the path. Traffic in the morning is heavy and the road isn't smooth on the side. There are cracks everywhere. I'm afraid of slipping and falling where cars might run you over.

Once in a while, usually in the evening, the road and pathway are clear and I'm able to go fast. In fact, yesterday I was able to go a little bit faster. But, I was afraid of making a mistake as it's not a smooth pathway with many metal grating and little holes.

I have fallen from my road bike before that's why I'm careful when riding on bad or slippery surfaces. Unless it's an empty road or cycling lane that's clear of other cyclists or people. Then, it's a joy to ride and go for speed. So far, I'm happy with my new road bike pedals.

I'm also starting to learn and enjoy using the magene c406 bike computer. I didn't understand how to use it at first. On my last cycling trip I was fed up not being able to link it that I decided to use the Strava app on my iPhone 13 instead.

It's only now I realized that I've made a mistake and using the wrong app. I thought, I already bound it to the magene app at first but because I haven't been using it, I forgot. I know now how to start recording, save it and upload it to the magene and Strava app.

I'm not a professional or even an amateur cyclist. More of a hobbyist. I don't do any kind of training except cycling to work and home. But, using a bike computer and using the Strava app to check my daily stats is actually kinda nifty and fun.

I didn't think I want to at first but now I want to know my heart rate data. That's why I decided to get the magene H64 heart rate monitors. It'll be interesting to know my heart rate reading, especially when going up the "little slope of hell". Cycling is way fun!

my new magene c406 gps bike computer speed cadence sensors and accessories

Magene C406 Bike Computer with Holder, Waterproof GPS Cycling Computer, Wireless Smart Road Bicycle Monitor, 2.5 Inch LCD Screen

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I finally got myself a better bike computer for my Java Veloce road bike. Not saying that my 'old' cheap speedometer isn't good. But, the magene c406 offers more data than I ever wish for. You can watch the #shorts video of my cheap speedometer here.

Yes. After thinking of going for the Xoss G+ bike computer, I decided to instead go for the Magene C406. I watched a youtube video where the guy compared both of them and I thought the bigger screen and ability to see more data analytics would be better (for me).

Magene C406 Bike Computer with Holder, Waterproof GPS Cycling Computer, Wireless Smart Road Bicycle Monitor, 2.5 Inch LCD Screen

I might not be a pro cyclist but I like the idea of being able to see more data on screen and later on analytics of my performances. I'm also not saying the C406 is better than the Xoss G+. It's a personal preference. Some might prefer the smaller size Xoss.

In the beginning, all I wanted to know was how fast I was going or able to go on my bike. That's why I bought the cheaper type. After a while of cycling, I'm now interested to know more about my cycling ability. One thing, I know now is that I can go the distance.

XOSS G+ GPS Bike Computer, Bluetooth ANT+ Cycling Computer, Wireless Bicycle Speedometer Odometer with LCD Display, Waterproof MTB Tracker Fits All Bikes Electric Bike (XOSS APP Support)

I think cycling every day to work actually helps me maintain my leg strength and stamina. Although, it's just a short distance. Because of the difference in gradients, going to work takes a little more work than going home. I didn't know it at first though.

I was a little afraid at first to go further and didn't want to end up poops out in the middle of nowhere. I waited until there was a long weekend holiday to try it out. Surprisingly, I managed to go way over 100km and didn't even feel that tired.

Magene Outdoor/Indoor Speed/Cadence Sensor for Cycling, Wireless Bluetooth/Ant+ Bike Computer RPM Sensor for Road Bike or Spinning Bike and Trainers Compatible with Onelap, Wahoo Fitness, Zwift, Strava

As I've said, I'm not a professional cyclist, and joining the competition. Pretty much doing it for leisure. I also have a slipped disc and bad knees. I'm also not that young. I'm not planning to go all out and hurt myself while cycling. There have been too many bike accidents lately involving old gen cyclists.

If I hurt myself, I'm not going to have any kind of medical support unlike the pros do. I don't think in my old age, I could heal better or much faster. Just a reminder to myself and those old gen cyclists. I heard one of my old ex-colleague was involved in a cycling accident and bed-ridden in hospital.

Magene P325CS Crankset with Rechargeable Power Meter for Cycling, Dual Side Crank Based Bike Power Meter Power Sensor

I decided to go for the Magene C406 packaged with two sensors. One for speed and the other one for cadence. I didn't know anything about the power meters until I saw the Magene P325CS crankset with a rechargeable power meter.

You can still know your average power on the C406 screen. You can choose between 3 screen setups. I'm not sure how you can change it but at the moment, I just use the right button to switch between them. I prefer one with the time but it doesn't show other data that I wanted at a glance.

Check out my new Magene C406 road bike computer pics below:

I've only downloaded the apps Onelap and link with Strava. Link and bind the sensors etc. You should definitely read and follow the simple instructions included. I did one funny thing putting on the casing the back to front. No wonder the button was on the wrong side. Silly me.

Can't wait to try the bike computer with the two sensors!

GoPro Hero 10 Vids and Pics Test Cycling on my Java Veloce Road Bike

Woodland Hills Camera GoPro HERO10 (Hero 10) Action (Black) with Deluxe Accessory Bundle – Includes: SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSD Memory Card, Carrying Case, Chest Mount Grip & Much More Black Kit

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I finally got a chance to go cycling and test out my new GoPro Hero 10. I'm glad I bought a multifunction bike computer and clamp mount. I used them to mount my GoPro for different views. Though, I forgot to turn the cam to face me.

Well, I can always try them out the next time I went cycling. It's actually kind of a little hassle as I had to screw and unscrew several times. But, I guess it's worth it. Nobody said, making a cycling video gonna be easy. Still, it was fun.

I really like the GoPro 360 mount adapter. I'm able to turn the camera left or ride while riding. Pretty nifty. Like I said, I can even turn the camera around to face me so that viewers can see the rider. The clamp mount was good and useful too.

I can clamp my camera anywhere on the bike frame for different viewing angles. But, I was a little lazy and only decide to clamp it on the mainframe. It's a little low and only see my drop bar and up. Guess, it's another interesting point of view.

I also brought along my chest mount and selfie stick but decided not to use them. I don't like the idea of having to wear a chest mount all day long. I rarely use a selfie stick for anything. What's more, while cycling. But, I might do it some other day.

I wanted my nephew to come with me so that he can take a video of me riding the bike but he had to work. It'll be nice to have a whole view of the rider on the bike. Guess, I can always do it some other time too. There are still places I haven't gone to, yet.

Okay, I talk so much about the GoPro mount. How bout the camera itself? Well, this is my first ever GoPro and I'm really satisfied with it. I bought a CPL filter and I think it makes my pics and vids a little better. Yes, it does get hot. It is expected as there's no good cooling system for such small devices.

I don't intend to take long videos as in the end, you'll cut them later on. So, I just take certain videos that I think I'm going to use. That way, the camera will not get overheated. So far, I didn't have any problem with the camera. I have 3 batteries and I used 2 of them.

TELESIN 4-Pack Lens Filter CPL ND8 ND16 ND32 Compatible for GoPro Hero 10 Hero 9 Black, Neutral Density and Polarizing Lens Filter Kit Lens Protector for Go Pro Hero 10/9 Accessories

I like how smooth the video is. Although, at a certain point, it does shake when I go over the freaking too many road bumps. The pictures are not that bad either. Though, I still miss the zooming capabilities of my Nikon P950. Other than that, I'm a pretty satisfied customer.

Last but not least, I really love my Java Veloce road bike. It felt good riding on the road and I felt I could go far with it. Though, I should have worn my underwear cycling shorts with a gel pad. I still like cycling on my mountain bike but for long-distance, now I prefer a road bike.

Check out some of the photos I took with the GoPro Hero 10 below:

I think the pictures aren't bad at all. Pretty sharp. I thought I'd set it to Raw but it was saved as a jpeg. I might have done something that changed it and didn't realize it. Anyway, I'm the lazy type and if it's good enough to my eyes then it's good enough for others. Depends on your taste though.

If you're the type who spends a lot of time outdoor adventure and only have a GoPro, I think it'll be good enough.
