Insta360 X3 Cycling on my Raleigh mountain bike to the Japanese Cemetery Park

Insta360 X3 with Official Sticker Set - Waterproof 360 Action Camera with 1/2" 48MP Sensors, 5.7K 360 Active HDR Video, 72MP 360 Photo, 4K Single-Lens, Stabilization, 2.29" Touchscreen

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I decided to get myself the Insta360 X3 action camera because my GoPro Hero10 went dead on me. It's my own fault as I forced one of the bloated batteries into the battery compartment without thinking. Something happened while prying it out and now it wouldn't charge or turn on again.

I'm going to get it repaired, someday. Meanwhile, I'm glad I got myself the Insta360. I've been considering it between the GoPro back then. I'm glad I waited as the X3 is super-awesome. The main reason I wanted it is because you can hide the selfie stick view in the video. Which is a cool feature.

Someone asked me about my GoPro Hero10 the other day. He has been pondering about getting it for years. I told him, it took me a while too to finally get it. And, I simply love it. My friend even commented about how good the quality of the video I took.

I did tell the guy about the Insta360 camera. But, his mind seems set on the GoPro. It's a brand name that people associate with quality videos. And, he's right. But, the insta360 offered something more and something different. Especially, for a cyclist who likes to make videos like me.

Now, with an Insta360 X3, I don't need to keep asking my nephew or anyone else to come along with me to go cycling or hiking. I can go solo and record myself. People won't know that I'm actually using a selfie stick. Just a moment ago, my friend asked how I record myself riding from behind? Lol.

I showed my niece a bit of my video on my insta360 yesterday and she was wondering where did I mount my camera. I told them all that you can basically mount it on any part of the bike. I also realized, I need another camera mount to support the stick as using one main isn't strong enough to support it.

If you want to mount your selfie stick on your bike, you need a good strong holder. The insta360 camera is a tad heavy and your selfie stick will probably slide down. That's why I decided to buy another mount with a double clamp. That'll hold it up.

When going out cycling, most of the time, I'll carry a backpack. Yesterday, I got the idea of putting the selfie stick inside and there's actually a small holder that I can use to hold the stick straight up. I think it's supposed to be used as a key holder. That's a plus. I got a good top-down camera view.

The Insta360 X3 desktop and phone app is very good too. You can also watch some tutorials and videos from other users. I found the editing software to be simple, fast, and easy to use. I didn't understand how to use the keyframe at first but once you know how, you're set!

You can export your video to your favorite video editing software and upload it to your youtube channel or wherever. I'm not sure if you can edit direct without taking the MicroSD card out from the camera. I decided to use an adapter and transfer it to my MacBook after a few tries.

The video I uploaded on my youtube channel is the first one I took using my new Insta360 X3 action camera. And, it's been a blast. I love how you can set it to your choice keyframe from just one video. It is a 360-degree camera so you can choose from various points of view. Cool!

my new magene c406 gps bike computer speed cadence sensors and accessories

Magene C406 Bike Computer with Holder, Waterproof GPS Cycling Computer, Wireless Smart Road Bicycle Monitor, 2.5 Inch LCD Screen

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I finally got myself a better bike computer for my Java Veloce road bike. Not saying that my 'old' cheap speedometer isn't good. But, the magene c406 offers more data than I ever wish for. You can watch the #shorts video of my cheap speedometer here.

Yes. After thinking of going for the Xoss G+ bike computer, I decided to instead go for the Magene C406. I watched a youtube video where the guy compared both of them and I thought the bigger screen and ability to see more data analytics would be better (for me).

I might not be a pro cyclist but I like the idea of being able to see more data on screen and later on analytics of my performances. I'm also not saying the C406 is better than the Xoss G+. It's a personal preference. Some might prefer the smaller size Xoss.

In the beginning, all I wanted to know was how fast I was going or able to go on my bike. That's why I bought the cheaper type. After a while of cycling, I'm now interested to know more about my cycling ability. One thing, I know now is that I can go the distance.

I think cycling every day to work actually helps me maintain my leg strength and stamina. Although, it's just a short distance. Because of the difference in gradients, going to work takes a little more work than going home. I didn't know it at first though.

I was a little afraid at first to go further and didn't want to end up poops out in the middle of nowhere. I waited until there was a long weekend holiday to try it out. Surprisingly, I managed to go way over 100km and didn't even feel that tired.

As I've said, I'm not a professional cyclist, and joining the competition. Pretty much doing it for leisure. I also have a slipped disc and bad knees. I'm also not that young. I'm not planning to go all out and hurt myself while cycling. There have been too many bike accidents lately involving old gen cyclists.

If I hurt myself, I'm not going to have any kind of medical support unlike the pros do. I don't think in my old age, I could heal better or much faster. Just a reminder to myself and those old gen cyclists. I heard one of my old ex-colleague was involved in a cycling accident and bed-ridden in hospital.

Magene P325CS Crankset with Rechargeable Power Meter for Cycling, Dual Side Crank Based Bike Power Meter Power Sensor

I decided to go for the Magene C406 packaged with two sensors. One for speed and the other one for cadence. I didn't know anything about the power meters until I saw the Magene P325CS crankset with a rechargeable power meter.

You can still know your average power on the C406 screen. You can choose between 3 screen setups. I'm not sure how you can change it but at the moment, I just use the right button to switch between them. I prefer one with the time but it doesn't show other data that I wanted at a glance.

Check out my new Magene C406 road bike computer pics below:

I've only downloaded the apps Onelap and link with Strava. Link and bind the sensors etc. You should definitely read and follow the simple instructions included. I did one funny thing putting on the casing the back to front. No wonder the button was on the wrong side. Silly me.

Can't wait to try the bike computer with the two sensors!

What do you guys think?
