my new mountain bike MTB bike pedal extender #shorts

BESPORTBLE 4pcs Bike Pedal Extenders with Washers Titanium Alloy Bike Foot Pedal Extenders Bicycle Pedal Spacers (20mm)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Bought a colorful bike pedal extender and fit it yesterday. Test it for a bit and actually feel really comfortable. I actually bought it because I bought a new red color kickstand and it'll hit the back of my crocs while pedaling.

Now, I don't have to worry about hitting the kickstand again. Also, sometimes I had problems finding the pedal when starting off. It's because the new pedal that I've changed is kinda a bit small from the original. It feels weird at first but I got used to it really quickly.

Whenever I post new bicycle parts that I've bought and fit on my bike, there'll always be some smart ass disliking it. They'll comment it's a waste or say shit that to me isn't true. Heck, some even say, my bike is cheap and not worth buying.

First of all, yes, my foldable mountain bike is cheap. That's why I bought it. It's affordable to me and I like buying parts and changing them. It's only recently that I found a workplace that is close to my home and riding also helps my fitness and health as a whole.

I also like DIY-ing and learning the process of bike maintenance at the same time. I'm thinking of changing my fork and crankset. Although I haven't done it before, it'll be good to learn from the experience, even if it's a bad one.

That's why I don't really care about the bad comments on my youtube channel video. I do what I like and just because I did something wrong, I can't learn from it. It's called the school of hard knocks. You learn better from the real-world experience than just reading or commenting about it.

SportsInn Red Ultralight T900 Full Carbon Fiber Integrated Handlebar for Road Racing Touring Bike Bicycle Dropped Bar Bike Stem Length 110mm

I've never owned a road bike. Been thinking if I should get one. But, I have slipped disc so, I worry that I'll have a problem riding it. I bought a stem extender for my mountain bike because it actually hurts my back when riding. Making it a little higher feels better too.

Being me, I'm too curious and if I don't try it, I'll never know. I'll be thinking about it day and night. Hence, I bought a drop bar and going to change it on my mountain bike when it finally arrives. I've already bought the brake lever, wrappers, etc.

Schwinn High Timber Youth/Adult Mountain Bike, Aluminum and Steel Frame Options, 7-21 Speeds Options, 24-29-Inch Wheels, Multiple Colors

I think it'll be an interesting bike with a drop bar and mountain bike design. I don't know anything about the shifters so, I'll just be using the normal standard one available. I'll make it work somehow. I'm doing this because sometimes when I ride, I feel like bunking down using a drop bar.

When I'm on a rough road or pathway, a handlebar is much more comfortable and better controlled. Like I've said, I've never ridden a road bike or used a drop bar, so I'm not sure if I'll be comfortable using them. The good thing is that it's easy to switch.

My new bike pedal extender

Anyway, tomorrow I'll be riding my bike to work with the new pedal extender and I can test how good it is. I did a quick test after fitting it and it does feel good. I'll know more when cycling to and fro from home to work. I always feel excited when I've changed new bike parts. Lol!

my new Ratchet Tool Wrench Repairing MTB mountain Bike Quick Hand release socket

Bikehand Bike Bicycle Repair Tool Kit with Torque Wrench - Quality Tools Kit Set for Mountain Bike Road Bike Maintenance in a Neat Storage Case

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I'm buying tools that would help me do work on my mountain bike. I decided to get a ratchet tool wrench that would make it much easier and faster. I used to study in a technical class and went on to study automotive engineering. Though, I never went on to further my studies or work in the auto industry.

Anyway, since I got my current mountain bike, I've been buying parts and changing them myself. For some reason, I enjoyed doing it. Kinda relaxing. Funny, I wasn't really interested in working on cars back in my school days.

Of course, working on a bike is much easier than a car. One thing for sure, working on a car or a bike, you need tools. I had a problem just changing the brake cable the other day because my old cutter wasn't good enough. Hence, I decided to get a new cable cutter.

Once the cable cutter arrives, I might change my rear brake cable next. Just wondering what cable housing color I want to change to. I already changed my front brake cable with new red housing. It's coming around nicely!

14 Pc Extra Long Hex Bit Sockets Allen Wrench Mm+SAE

Nowadays, bike makers don't use screws with the minus or plus head anymore. All you need now is an Allen key. I saw a video where the bike tech use a ratchet to tighten all the screws. Looks pretty easy to work with than fumbling with your screwdrivers.

Okay, you might not fumbles with tools but I do, a lot. I also have a problem with my hands going numb and now it actually hurts to whole things for long. I don't know why. I didn't go and see a doctor. You might laugh but my left-hand middle finger is now permanently numb.

Okay, you can laugh about it. I might have broken some nerves in my hands or something. It's getting harder to work on things. I can't even hold my bike grip for long without getting numbs. I'll have to shake it off while cycling.

In spite of the problem, like I've said before, I still love doing bike work. I pretty much got used to doing things and stopping halfway to let the numbness go away. Right now, I'm typing with the numb in my middle finger. I'm practically just using the fingernail to type.

Dynacraft 26" Slick Rock Trails Bike

When I bought the ratchet wrench, I didn't think of getting the Allen key socket set. Now that I have the ratchet wrench, I need to order them. It'll definitely be easier and faster for me to work with a ratchet to screw and unscrew the Allen hex screws.

My ultimate work will be to change my bike crankset and front bike fork. I have never changed them before so I'm trying to buy all the tools that I needed before starting. I don't want to halfway through only to find out I needed a special tool or something.

My foldable folding mountain bike at Japanese Cemetery Park

I need my bike to commute between home and work. I still have my other foldable bike. So, just in case, I f**k up the bike, I can use it. Anyway, at the moment, I'm just relaxing at home before going out on a planned bikepacking trip to more nature parks trails.

done! changed my mountain bike grips after I ripped it in a fall #shorts

Ergon - GE1 Evo Ergonomic Lock-on Bicycle Handlebar Grips | for Mountain, Trail, and Enduro Bikes | Regular Fit | Midsummer Blue

Hey guys,

Check it out!

So, I ripped my mountain bike right grips trying to do a jump on a pathway. For some reason, I swerved to the right and smashed on a drain railing. I would have fallen into the drain if it weren't there. I scratched my visor, which probably protected me from a broken nose.

My right thumb still hurts. I have bruises on my right hips and cuts on my right cheek and tummy. Which I only realized when looking at the mirror. Nothing serious though. My handlebar turned 90 degrees but luckily, it's not bent or even a scratch.

The right grip and end plug received the worst hit. I only realized later the right grip lock-on ring was missing. It must still be around the pathway somewhere. I have actually bought another handlebar grip before using the current design. I guess it's good to have extra grips prepared.

You can check out the latest mountain bike grips that I've changed video here. I like the idea of changing different grips once in a while. Nowadays, the grips are the type that comes with a lock-on ring and you can easily take it off and put a new one.

Weanas Bike Handlebar Grips, New Generation Ergonomics Comfort Design Mountain Bike Grips with G2 Screw Lock 1 Pair for Bicycle MTB BMX Cycling

The handlebar grips that I ripped had a nice skeleton pirate face design. It's a silicone type. I'm not sure if they sell a replacement as the grip itself is still intact. There are not or almost any bike grips with any cool anime design. Although, I prefer the rubber type with a better grip.

The new current bike grips that I've changed with palm ergonomic design feel pretty good. You can rest your palm on the grips while cruising through the pathway. I wish it has better graphic design though. Now, it looks pretty bland.

Odi, Elite Pro, Grips, 130mm, Army Green, Pair

Everyone has their own preference with the handlebar grips. My original grips which have a simple boxy design was surprisingly good. Even though it looks cheap. I think they modified the size of the right grip as it comes with the Shimano gear shifter.

I can't seem to find a bike grip that has two different lengths for this type of gear shifter. I might have to buy the type of grips that can be easily cut short but still looks as if part of the gear shifter. There also aren't any camo design grips.

MEGHNA PU Bike Handlebar Grips for Trigger Shifter Ergonomic Design Handlebar Grip Mountain Bike Road Bike Dual Lock-On, Brown

Colors, graphic design, and grip patterns are important to me. Okay, maybe it's not really important to other people who just want one that provides a good grip. But, I'm an urban rider mostly using my bike to and fro to work and home.

I like my bike to look as cool as possible while riding. That's why I've changed most of my bike parts. I've changed the bike seat, pedal, handlebar, stem, brake lever, etc. For some reason, I like dong works on my bike too. As much as riding on it.

Well, the more you ride, the more experienced you get. One thing I learned is that, I prefer a bike helmet with a visor. It definitely help protect my face, especially my nose which had once broken before. Though, not from cycling.

Nikon P950 CNY 2022 Cycling Bikepacking with Mountain Bike MTB Pasir Ris Changi Beach

Nikon COOLPIX P950 Digital Camera || 24-2000mmLens || 16 MP || Built-in Wi-Fi || Vibration Reduction + Camera Kit Special Including 64GB Memory, Spider Tripod, Photo/Video Editing Package & More

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Yesterday, Tuesday 1st Feb 2022 was the first day of CNY aka Chinese New Year. I believe it's the year of the tiger. I've been planning to go out cycling either last Sunday or on Tues. It's a public holiday, so, I can rest on Wednesday before having to go back to work on Thursday.

I've also been planning to bring along my Nikon P950 camera. That's why I bought the bike handlebar front bag. I can quickly attach and dis-attached the bag to the holder and bring it along when I need to. Pretty nifty. This way, I don't have to bring along another backpack.

I actually smashed my mountain bike into a metal railing while trying to do a jump at the side of the road and I've forgotten about my camera. I only saw that my new handgrips were ripped and the ring missing. It was only later that I remembered and check it.

Luckily, my camera didn't even have a single bend or scratch. Meanwhile, I hurt my right thumb and scratched my helmet visor. I've decided to order a new one. That visor might actually have saved me from having a broken nose, again.

I also scratched my face and tummy. Only realized it when I look in the mirror after returning home. I don't know what the heck happened. I was confident of clearing the little bump. Might have hit the root of the tree and that askew the wheels to the right towards the railing.

If the railing weren't there, I would have fallen into the big drain. Damn, I was kind of lucky. I checked my nose if there was blood and there was none. Didn't feel any pain and didn't break anything. At my age, it'll be a little difficult to be injured. Yet, I do stupid stuff. Lol!

2021 Gravity FSX 1.0 Dual Full Suspension Mountain Bike with Disc Brakes (White, 21in)

Well, in spite of that little incident, I had a really good cycling, bikepacking day. I went from one beach to another beach, got a little lost but got back to the track following my Google map. Of course, I took a lot of videos and photos both with my trusty old Samsung Note 10+ and P950.

I should have charged my phone when I'm not using it as it died when I was almost home. I brought two extra batteries for my camera and only use two of them. I'm still a newbie photographer and there are some things I still don't understand how it works.

Insta360 ONE R 1-Inch Edition Co-Engineered with Leica – 5.3K 30fps Action Camera with 1-Inch Sensor, 4K 60fps, Stabilization, IPX8 Waterproof, 19MP

I'm thinking of getting the latest Insta360 camera with a 1-inch sensor. I like the idea of being able to get great pictures at night or when the weather or places are a little darker. If I had the camera, I would have actually captured my attempt at the jump and crashing stupidly into the railing.

One of the reasons, you don't see any video of me riding the bike is because I can't hold the big P950 at the same time. I even tried using my mobile phone but it shakes terribly when it's on the handlebar. I don't have any good holder for it.

The pictures above are some of the places I cycle to and took with my Nikon P950. You can see more pics and vids on my youtube video. If you like it, give a comment on my video and check out my other videos on my main youtube channel here.
