Echo Show (2nd Gen) – Premium sound and a vibrant 10.1” HD screen - Charcoal
Hey guys,
Check it out!
Have you seen the part on Aliens movie how Ripley video calls burke? I've been waiting for that ability for decades and now you can even do that on your mobile phone. Even my mom prefers to video calls her daughter instead of just calling like they used to. It helps that the video is much better than before.
I recommended her to get the new Samsung Note 10+ to replace her Note 3 as she prefers something familiar. And now she's video calling with her new phone. She was afraid, it'll eat up her data but I told her, data are pretty cheap nowadays. And, she doesn't have to wait until she reaches home to use the wifi.

Nowadays, you have many products that you can use to video calls, check the news, listen to music and so much more. It's becoming more and more common. More needed to be done though. I haven't yet seen a video call booth in the streets or malls. They need to have a product or apps that can be used across any platform.
I think if people prefer video calls then you won't have any more prank calls. Because you can see who is calling. There have been many instances of old people receiving calls telling it's from the bank or the police asking for bank details or whatever. One time, someone called my dad telling him to pay $3000 he owes to a bank. Of course, that's b.s. Luckily, my dad didn't fall for it.
I found out recently that Facebook has its own video calling product. If you use FB a lot and have been chatting with friends or family members via messengers, now you can video call them. Pretty cool. I like the design and usefulness of this product.

Google also has its own video calling product now called, Google Nest Hub Max (link to their main site). It pretty much offers the same thing. You can get the latest news, watch youtube videos, listen to music and also control other linked products in your home.
I've used Google Nest mini before and it was fun. I would ask it simple questions like how's the weather, play music from Spotify, set reminder and alarm clock. When I bought my Note 10+, I received the Harman Kardon One Smart Speaker as a free gift which I paired with my phone.
This speaker is a beast. If you get two of these, you'll get stereo sound. Listening to music on this is a joy. Since I've paired with my phone, I set an alarm clock, reminder, listening to the news or playlist. I can even use it as a speakerphone and gaming is definitely fun with a loudspeaker!
Is the video calling product going to be more popular and common in the future? Especially, since data is getting cheaper. It's always better to see a face you're talking to instead of just listening to their voices right?
They need to make it cheaper and accessible to all. It would be good to start using it in school. Maybe, connecting to other students from another country. Talking and learning from each other cultures. Being able to connect that video phone to a big screen Tv, a monitor or a projector is a big plus.
