Learning to create your own game with scratch is really fun and easy. You don't have to create complex games to make a good game. Just think of how popular the flappy bird game are. It's pretty simple but it created such a buzz that everyone are cloning it!

It's always good to start learning to code when you're at a young age. With scratch, it makes more easier to learn the fundamentals. Check out some of the books available on learning to create fun stuff with scratch!

Definitely, a great fun to be able to create your own game. I had wanted to create my own game for a long time and scratch have made it easier. By the way, it's also fun to create or draw your own 'sprite' or character in games.

I'm not an artist, and I also don't have any electronic drawing tools. But, using simple drawing programs, you can draw your own spaceships or cars and see it moves via coding with scratch. See, how your kids get excited when it actually works.

Let their imaginations run wild with scratch!

scratch coding cards creative coding activities for kids

Hey guys,

Check out my latest game using Scratch coding, "Robot Kamikaze"!

https://scratch.mit.edu/users/alongcat/

If you've read my last post, I had wanted to create a flappy bird clone game but end up doing another type of game. The same thing happened today and this time, the game is about an evil robot wanting to take over the world and mankind are doom!

You need to get to the 'choppa' and use the autofire laser gun to kill the robot before it attack and kills you by kamikaze straight your helicopter. Will mankind be safe? Will you be the hero that protect earth and everyone in it?

It's basically a simple game. You just need to press the spacebar to activate the laser gun to autofire and use the keyboard arrow keys to move the helicopter. Oh, and avoid being hit by the incoming kamikaze robot. They're desperate to take over the world!

It's really fun to play around with Scratch and you can also browse other scratchers in the community. You can chat, comment and check out others project. Kids, teens and even adults would love learning to code with scratch!
