Hey guys,

Check it out!

I told my friend to check out for any updates about his laptop purchased last weekend. Turn out, the order was canceled and his money refund by the seller. They also called to inform him about it. Apparently, they didn't have the stock for it.

Anyway, my friend told me to recommend another and I recommend him an upgraded version of the same HP laptop that I bought last year. It has almost the same specs as the laptop I'm using now. AMD Ryzen 7 4700U 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD, and Radeon mobile graphics.

You can check out my HP laptop unboxing video here on my Youtube Channel. I only wish that I had the 16GB Ram. I can definitely upgrade but opening up the case is pretty 'scary'. You have to peel out the bottom case with something sharp and avoid pitting it.

You can watch the inside of the laptop here. I've posted about it before. I'm pretty surprised by how thin, and light the motherboard is. Of course, most of the parts are integrated. Thank goodness, I can upgrade the rams. That's why I advised my friend to just get the 16GB ram to avoid all the hassles.

My friend just told me that instead of getting the 16GB Ram version, he got the 8GB ram instead. He was thinking of upgrading it later and saving some money. I told him, that it's not worth the hassle. I've already told him how hard it is to peel open the bottom case cover.

The case might get pitted from the peeling tools and I feel as if it can break if you use too much force. Also, you might void the warranty if shits happen. I don't like opening up a new laptop and disfigured it. I'll rather wait maybe a year or two before opening it up.

Frankly, I'm surprised that HP design the bottom casing this way. If you look at other laptops, well, decades ago, I used to open up laptops to upgrade the ram or hard disk. And, it was pretty easy. All you need to do was just unscrewing the screws.

I don't know of any laptop that needs a peeling tool. I actually thought it would be easy. I had to search Google to see how to open up the case. I almost break the bottom case trying to force it open. Coincidentally, I had and used the tools that I bought to replace my DS lite casing.

It's gonna be a while before I'm opening the case again. Even with just 8GB of ram, my laptop still runs fine. Although, I feel it'll run much better with a 16GB ram. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with my HP laptop. Also, kinda weird that my unboxing video had a lot of viewers from India. :p

I think like me, they like the silver design. It has a backlit keyboard with a nice typing springy feeling. I put a silicone keyboard cover over it. My first time using a silicone cover feels a little weird, but I guess I'll get used to it. As long as it protects the keyboard from dust and spills.

Love the webcam that I used with Whatsapp to video-chat with my family. And, definitely love the fingerprint sensor. It's much faster for quick logging into the system. I didn't like the fingerprint sensor decades ago. They have definitely improved the technology.

My friend going to enjoy using the laptop I'm recommending to him. HP and AMD should pay me for recommending their products. It's the first time my friend actually using an AMD processor. He thoughts AMD was an Intel processor. Keep asking me if it's the 11th gen version. Lol.

As popular as AMD is right now with their latest products, people still are used to Intel and NVIDIA. Okay, non-gamer like my friend, might not know NVIDIA. But most gaming laptops use their graphics cards. The previous laptop I recommended to my friend had the MX330.

Since he got this HP AMD laptop, it'll be his first experience using the Radeon integrated mobile graphics. Not bad for low-medium gaming.
