Have Razer build a new portable gaming console?

Ok. Maybe, not. It's just my old DS lite with a Razer logo sticker paste on top of it's cover. I think, it look really nice though. What if Razer build something like this. Would you be interested?

I certainly would. If the price is right. The question is, should the main OS be android or windows?

For one thing, if it's windows base, you can play lots of pc games on it. Especially, if you have a steam account. There are many android games available too but, it's not really a triple A type of game. Retro gaming would be easy with Retroarch!

Integrated graphics are getting better and it'll help for a portable gaming console small form factor. I'm thinking of something in between the GPD mini laptop and portable window base and android with game controller.

Frankly, I really prefer the form factor of the DS lite. The control are a little cramp and the screen aren't that big. But, it's still fun and there are backlog of NDS games. The Nintendo Switch are definitely way bigger and more advanced with bigger screen and better control.

In the end, it's really up to you and your gaming preferences. The latest games such as Fortnite and PUGB have gone mobile, and being able to play on a portable console would be really popular. In fact, they should be available for the switch by now!?

Each of these system have their cons and pro but, it will basically satisfy most gamers. The only setback would be for a better graphics and cooling system. Who knows what the industry leaders like Intel, Nvidia and Amd can come out with for the portable section.

Hoping also, that we'll have better games for the portable pc gaming market. Seems like, it's all about competing and less on stories. That's why I practically stop buying and playing games anymore. Most of the time, I just check out my favorite or retro games that I haven't yet played.

On these portable products, you can install retroarch and start playing immediately. And, you don't need internet or logging into servers. For long train, car, bus rides or holidays, you don't have to worry about finding wifi to connect. Just open up your system and play!
