The Moon | Nikon Coolpix P950 #moon #nikon #nikoncoolpixp950

(All links will open up in a new tab.)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

The Moon video above was taken a few years back when I bought my first camera, the Nikon Coolpix  P950. It was on offer so, I took the chance. The main reason I was interested in the camera is its capability to zoom to the moon.

I checked out some of the videos on YouTube and I was amazed. Being able to take a close look at the moon was very exciting. There is also the Nikon P1000. The zooming is more powerful than mine P950. I would have gotten it, if not for the higher price.

I also take photos and videos of places like the last fishing village, Jenal Jetty. It's basically, the only existing commercial fishing village in Singapore. Recently, there was news of a big crocodile spotted around that area. Luckily, it wasn't there when I was taking photos by the seaside.

Watch the video to check out the place. Another nice place I went to is the Singapore Botanical Garden. I managed to take videos of wild chickens and monitor lizards. I saw one beautiful black monitor lizard and quickly took a video. Pretty handy to have a zooming camera!

You can also view videos and photographs of the Jurong Lake Garden. Since I was still new to using a real camera, there were certain things I forgot to do or take note of. There are many settings available and scenarios you can choose from. I usually use Auto mode.

I also sometimes feel that I don't have the need to edit the pictures. I prefer it to be as original as possible. The way I see it is what I want others to see it too. I always reset everything back to the original after dabbling with the editing.

I enjoyed going to Changi Beach and took pics and videos of ferry boats and airplanes. Even though I've been there many times, I didn't realize you can watch airplanes by the beach. I remembered watching the news about airplane enthusiasts going there to watch them.

I thought that's a good idea. I can definitely use my P950 to do that too. There are many sides to the Changi area and I decided to visit the Changi Point Boardwalk to take pictures. It has nice views and you can walk on the coastal boardwalk till the end.

I cycled there and when I reached the place, it was low tide. I saw many nice big rock formations. Watch the video for some cool photos that I took. I've lived in my own country and wouldn't have known this place existed. All thanks to my new interest in photography.

That is what I realized. Once, I got interested in photography, I began to see things in a different light. I didn't know you can look at things in various ways. Yes, I take photos and videos with my phone but didn't think much of it until I used a real camera.

Biking to Hampstead wetlands last fishing village and sembawang park fishing pier

2021 Gravity FSX 1.0 Dual Full Suspension Mountain Bike with Disc Brakes Aluminum Frame

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Boy, have I been busy lately. And, also having a lot of fun cycling to parks enjoying beautiful nature. I've been buying and changing my still practically new mountain bike parts. For some reason, I enjoy doing it myself. Kinda relaxing.

Yes, it seems easy enough. But, it's not that I do this every day. So, there'll be some mistakes that I did but somehow, I managed to fix it all. Especially, if you have the tools. The good thing is that nowadays, for the most part, all you need is the Allen keys multitools.

Another tool that I bought and use is the fork aka pipe cutter. It's much easier than using a hand saw. I use it to cut short my colorful handlebar. When I changed my bike pedals, I had a problem taking the original off even with an adjustable wrench.

Luckily, my bro-in-law had a bike wrench which is much better. And, also a whole lot of WD-40. A rubber mallet is also useful. It's much better to protect your bike parts. I even use it to hammer in my handlebar end bar plugs. I was lazy to file the bar ends after cutting them.

I recommend you get a cycling backpack with a water bag. It's much easier for quick sips of water while cycling or at stops. I thought I had a faulty water bag the first time I tried it. But, I didn't realize you have to push up to open and push down for closing at the tip. Silly me.

Well, I only started cycling recently again and buying all these products to try them out. I'm starting to really enjoy cycling. Even though, I've learned cycling as a kid. There wasn't really joy in it. Even when I bought my first mountain bike, it's only for cycling to a friend's house.

Maybe because now, I actually have the time and want to go cycling. Especially, to visit beautiful nature parks around the country. Places, I didn't even know existed. I have to thank Google Maps for making it much easier for people to check out routes and places.

Well, last Sunday for some reason my phone couldn't get connected to the internet and I got lost. I didn't think of re-starting my phone to solve the problem until I reached home 3 hours late. I was planning to reach home from Sembawang park beach by 3pm.

I had to use my instincts and of course, read the road signs which sometimes doesn't help. I was going round and round an unfamiliar area and actually got really exasperated. Thank goodness, I finally reached and saw a familiar park and even asked a passerby to confirm my direction.

I need to bring along my portable battery charger next time. I didn't think I would need it as I only plan to cycle for a couple of hours to planned destinations. Turn out, if I hadn't found my way out, my phone would have probably gone flat and it'll be worse if there's an emergency.

My ride. Folding, foldable mountain bike.

My friend, whose house I went to visit earlier was worried that he couldn't get me on the phone. I only managed to reply to his message once I finally reached home. It's always good to be prepared for the worse and maybe inform someone before you went out cycling on your own.

In all, it was really fun to cycle and check out Hampstead wetlands, the last fishing village, and Sembawang park fishing pier. This is where I actually first learn to ride the bike in the 80s. Later on, I lost my first bike which my father bought for me.

Singapore The Last Fishing Village - Nikon Coolpix P950 83x Optical SuperZoom #Nikon

Nikon COOLPIX P950 Digital Camera: with 83x Optical Zoom, 4K and Built-in Wi-Fi (Black) + 128GB 1200X SDXC Card + 2 EN-EL20 Batteries + Case + Flexible Tripod + Pro Bundle: International Version

Hey guys,

Check it out!

A friend asked me if I wanted to follow her to check out a place called #thelastfishingvillage, The Last Fishing Village. It's literally, the last fishing village as there's no other place like it anywhere else in the country. It's not that big though.

You can view the pictures and videos here on my Youtube Channel. Don't forget to like, share & subscribe. There are also a few other videos more on the P950 that I have uploaded to my channel. So, please check them out too. Thanks!

Of course, I wanted to go mainly because I now have the Nikon Coolpix P950. A chance for me to take interesting pictures and videos with it. As I've said before, photography and videography are still new to me. I'm still testing and checking out all the settings of the camera.

I met an older gentleman with assuming his wife and we had a nice chat. He saw me showing the camera to my lady friend and finally came over. He's kinda a bird enthusiast and has been to many locations just to take pictures of birds.

His daughter recommended getting the Nikon P1000 because of the zooming capabilities. It's obviously great for bird watching. He asked me if the camera was any good, how heavy it is, and which one is better. Well, the first thing I told him was that I'm still new at photography and at using the camera.

I told him, the camera had already been out for a while and the pictures might not be up to his standard if he's a pro. He showed me his kinda old looking small camera. I think it's a sony. The P950 is a tad heavy but certainly lighter than the P1000.

Well, one thing he really likes is the zooming. Keeps talking about it. Definitely, great for taking pictures and videos of birds. He showed me some eagle pics and one with prey on its leg. Pretty amazing. Although, I didn't see any while checking out the fishing village.

He also showed me some other birds' pics that he took. I definitely need to go and check out some of the places that he recommended me to go to. I'm not really a bird-watching enthusiast. But, I'm interested in taking some eagles' pics and videos.

Even if you're not using zooming to watch birds or other animals, it's still great for zooming to a faraway area. I get to zoom to boats far out at sea or big ships docking at the other side of the land. Been many a time, I wanted to do it when I didn't have the camera before.

A lot of people actually were interested when they saw the camera. Maybe because most of them only use their mobile phones. I did see some other guys using different kinds of cameras. Next time, I might want to talk to them or check out their gears.

Check out some of my photos below:

More pics and videos on my upload youtube video here. Check it out!

I really had a fun day, taking pictures and videos. And, frankly, to me, the pics and videos that I took are pretty cool. But, I only realized, I didn't use the UV filter all the while. Anyway, I tried the neutral variable filter for the last few shots. Looking forward to more adventures with my P950!

One last thing, surprisingly, the battery lasts for almost 4 hours. Maybe because I seldom use the zoom?
