Nintendo Switch lite 512GB MicroSD Card unboxing and testing

Samsung (MB-ME512GA/AM) 512GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSDXC Evo Select Memory Card with Adapter

Hey guys,

Check it out!

I've been upgrading my MicroSD card from the basic 32gb, 128gb, and now the biggest 512gb. Frankly, if I had a little bit more money, I'll get the 1TB version. The reading speed for my 512gb is the 100mb/s. But, I saw a 160mb/s. But, it's more expensive.

It took almost a day and a night to download almost 128gb of either free-to-play or games that I've bought from eShop. Right now, I'm left with 319gb of storage space left on my card. I feel as if even with 512gb, it's not enough. Who knows, I might get the 1TB version if it gets cheaper.

I was actually a little torn in getting either the 512gb or 400gb. I read on a website because the extra GB not really that far and it's also a little cheaper. But, I was thinking if you buy the 400gb, the actual storage will be lesser. So, wouldn't it make sense to buy the 512gb? At least, I'll have 400+ of storage instead of 300+ lesser.

My Xbox one s Gears of War 4 special edition storage is 2TB. Even then I don't feel it's enough. Especially, one game could be 60-80gb in size. In the old days, you don't really worry about storage space as most games are on cd or DVD. You only need a memory cartridge to save your games.

The good thing is that I can still buy Nintendo games on cartridge although, it's cheaper when the eShop digital versions are on deals. Also, most of their games are actually smaller in size. I believe it's because the graphics settings are not the higher version.

I'll definitely buy a 2TB MicroSD card with 160mb/s read if ever they come out with one. That read speed would make the games on my switch a little faster. Although, at 100mb/s read and 90mb/s write is already pretty good. Whoa! Imagine, having all your games in one card and being able to play them anywhere and anytime!

That's what I call portable console gaming!
