Recalbox OS- Raspberry pi 3 DIY Retro gaming quick look and gameplay

Raspberry Pi 3 Board and 16GB, 10class, with NOOBS

Hey guys,

Check out my new video!

The good thing about setting up your own retro gaming set is that you get to choose which games you want to download and play.

Nowadays, you might see a lot of people selling all these retro games console with 1000 of games. But, most of the games are repeated and sometime, you're just not interested in playing some of it.

I would know, I've bought them. But, I don't regret buying them though. I like the design, and the controls are fantastics. Great for playing with friends and family members.

Anyway, not all of us are a DIY guy right?

Raspberry pi 3 are a small single board computer that you can buy standalone or package with power plug and microsd card. The card are important as it's where you'll install your chosen OS.

There are many OS that you can install like Raspbian, Ubuntu mate and many more. If you install them, you basically have a small computer that you can bring anywhere and everywhere!

That's what make it  so wonderful!

To think that the original intent for the creation of the raspberry pi was for students to learn computing and programming.

Here's a quick guide on how to install Recalbox on your Raspberry pi 3:

  1. Once, you have bought your own Raspberry pi 3 retro gaming kit. All you need to do is download recalbox OS from their website to your pc. Extract, the zip files.
  2. Make sure your microsd card that you're going to copy those files into are already formatted to FAT32. Once done, select all those extracted files and copy into it.
  3. Eject and take out your microsd card. Insert to your raspberry pi 3.
  4. Make sure everything like your keyboard, controller or mouse are already hooked up.
  5. Switch on the power to the raspberry pi. It will automatically boot up and install the Recalbox.
  6. After the OS are installed, you'll then need to setup your wifi and controller configurations. Look around the menu and get familiar with it.
There are already some games on it and you can immediately play them. That's it!

If you need any help, just visit their main website. They also have a youtube channel with full of tutorials which are easy to follow.

You can ask me any questions below if you want. I'll try to answer them. I'm definitely enjoying playing the ol skool games!
