Which Laptop Is Good Enough For Video Editing and Microsoft Office?

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Gaming and Entertainment Laptop (AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS 8-Core, 40GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, 14.0" Full HD (1920x1080), RTX 2060 Max-Q, WiFi, Bluetooth, Win 10 Home) with USB Hub

Hey guys,

Check it out!

A lady, which I assumed she is, by her Youtube picture, asked me if the HP laptop that I bought is good enough for video editing and using Microsoft Word or Excel. I replied that it is. Although, for video editing, even though it didn't lag, a video image did freeze while I was editing a gameplay video.

I also told her that she might want to upgrade the Ram from 8GB to 12-16GB. The AMD Ryzen 7 processor is definitely good enough but I worry about the Radeon X Vega 10 mobile graphics. It can only play the latest, graphics-intensive games on low to medium.

She told me that she's not into gaming but for video editing, I wonder if the Vega 10 graphics have any effect. I still haven't upgraded my rams, so I don't really know if upgrading will help. Other than that, I don't think she'll have any problem when using Microsoft Office.

I have a gaming PC with a 16GB DDR4 Ram, an i7 processor, and GTX 1060 3GB graphics card. I use it for gaming, video editing, and blogging. It's already a couple of years old but it still runs smoothly. If you're looking for any minimus specs, this should be it.

New Apple iPad Pro (12.9-inch, Wi-Fi + Cellular, 512GB) - Space Gray (4th Generation)

I also use my iPad Pro 10.5 for taking videos, editing, and uploading to my Youtube Channel. In fact, it's my main device for most of my current content on my channel. Before that, it was my iPhone 8. I never had any problem editing any video big or small with Apple devices.

That's why I was a little perplexed when a video image actually freeze while editing video gameplay on my HP AMD Ryzen 7 laptop. To be clear, the laptop didn't freeze. The video was running and I can even hear the sound. I realized the image wasn't moving.

I kinda like the new Apple iPad Air. I wish I have the money to get it. I've been thinking of upgrading from my iPad 10.5. I need a bigger storage and a better camera. Not that, my current iPad isn't any good. It's still one of the best iPad I've owned.

I prefer to use my iPad for making videos, editing, and uploading it to my Youtube channel because I love using Apple's iMovie app. That's one of the main reasons. With an iPad stand holder, the iPad is also easy and flexible enough to be used to take videos.

ASUS ZenBook Duo UX481 Laptop, 14” FHD NanoEdge Bezel Touch, Intel Core i7-10510U, GeForce MX250, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, Innovative ScreenPad Plus, Windows 10 Pro, Celestial Blue, UX481FL-XS74T

I've talked about the latest Asus ZenBook Duo before, and I think the 2nd screen will definitely be useful for video editing or for other usages. Hey, like they say, two heads or screens are better than one, right? I'll definitely get it, if and when I have the money.

One thing is that there isn't really any good FREE video editing software that I like, you can use on Windows 10 PC or laptop. I still prefer the old Microsoft Movies Maker. I don't know why they stop supporting it. Luckily, I downloaded it somewhere (can't find the website anymore) and am still using it today.

Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop, 14" Full HD IPS, AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Octa-Core with Radeon Graphics, 8GB LPDDR4, 512GB NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Backlit KB, Fingerprint Reader, Alexa Built-in, SF314-42-R9YN

Yes, I know there's a new free video editor for Windows 10. But, I still prefer the old one. It's much easy and quicker. Especially, when you want to snip or re-arrange the videos. Adding text was also simple. The new editor kinda limited and 'obstructive' to my working flow.

Lol. I really detest that Microsoft doesn't allow us to use the software anymore. Would have been fine if they just update it with new text designs, image, sound, and music. But, they change the whole user interface. If it ain't broken why fix or change it?

It is, of course, my personal opinion. My whole blog is base on my own experience and opinions on the old or latest products and services. If you like my youtube channel and blog would appreciate the support by 'buying' me Coffee via the link below!

Apple iPad Air 2020 - I Need This!

New Apple iPad Air (10.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 64GB) - Space Gray (Latest Model, 4th Generation)

Hey guys,

Quick promo!

I like the new 4th generation iPad Air with the 10.9-inch display. Yes, I haven't even owned it and I already like it? Yup. I like the latest specs. Especially, with the new Bionic A14 chip. 12MP camera and 7MP in the front.

Obviously, the iPad camera isn't anything better than my Samsung Note 10+. It has a better camera spec with 12MP wide, 12MP 2x Zoom, 16MP Ultrawide. Another thing I keep stating my preferences for iPad is the iMovie app. I've been using it for decades especially on the iPhones.

New Apple iPad Air (10.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 64GB) - Space Gray (Latest Model, 4th Generation)

  • Stunning 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone and P3 wide color
  • A14 Bionic chip with Neural Engine
  • Touch ID for secure authentication and Apple Pay
  • 12MP back camera, 7MP FaceTime HD front camera
  • Available in Silver, Space Gray, Rose Gold, Green, and Sky Blue
  • Wide stereo audio
  • Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
One thing for sure, the iPad Air is certainly an upgrade from my 10.5-inch iPad pro. I love my current iPad. Normally, I'll sell off my old tech device when I want to get a new one, but I have misgivings about re-selling it.

My iPad isn't slow or anything. It doesn't even look old. Even though, I've had it for 2-3 years now. And, the camera is actually still good. Especially, when I'm still using it to take videos, editing, and uploading on my Youtube channel.

Anyway, it's not that I have the money to buy. I'm just looking up for my options when I have the dough. I love tech, and I love checking out what's new to play with. The design looks nice and slick. Beautiful retina display with a true tone screen.

This iPad Air would be more than enough for me as I was also thinking of getting the Macbook pro. But, I'm definitely going to be using more of the iPad Air for taking my youtube videos. I'll want a bigger hard disk space too.

The iPad and the iPhone are great for taking videos and editing. It's also easy and fast upload to Youtube. Although, I don't know why I can only upload up to 15 mins long. I've read, you can change the limitation but it only works for a while.

In any case, I try to make short videos because, nowadays, people are too busy to look anything beyond 5-10 mins. Unless it's something worthwhile or interesting. That's probably why TikTok videos are so popular even though they're short.

Apple Event September 15 - Freaker126 My Opinion

New Apple iPad Pro (12.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 128GB) - Space Gray (4th Generation)

Hey guys,

Check it out!

The Apple Event September 15, 2020, is over and done with. I watch it for a while on my Nintendo Switch lite but fell asleep half-way through. Anyway, later on, you can always watch updates from youtube channels and blogs all giving their take on the event. Well, this is my take. After watching some of the updates.

There isn't really anything new that you already know Apple is going to do. Increment updates to their products like the new Apple Watch 6 series, iPad and Ipad Air with new chips, and more subscriptions offering to their services. They sure know how to make money. They aren't a billion-dollar company for nothing.

New Apple iPad Pro (12.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 128GB) - Space Gray (4th Generation)

I'm surprised that there isn't any new iPhone 12 announcement. With all the hypes talking about a new iPhone coming out. I was curious to know if it's going to be the same design with that stupid notch or admitting defeat and following Samsungs. C'mon Apple, you know you want to. Every other phone out there has a damn full screen with a small peephole for the camera.

If you're wondering, why I seldom talk about product specs because I'm assuming you already read it and there's nothing much to know except it's more powerful than the last specs. Anyway, most average users don't even care about specs. All they want is the damn thing to work. I recommended my mom and friend products that I myself use. And, they never ask me about the specs.

Magic Keyboard for 11-inch iPad Pro (2nd Generation) - US English

Most of us don't use feature-rich products to the fullest. I tried to, but unless you have the needs, you don't. They're announcing the new 8th Gen 10.2 iPad with the 'new' A12 Bionic chip and the iPad Air 10.9 with A14 chips. I actually want to upgrade to either a 12.9 or 11 inches iPad Pro which already has the A12 chips from my 10.5 iPad pro.

I use my iPad for taking videos and editing it with iMovie. The upgraded chip and better 12MP camera are useful to me. Of course, I'll love to use it with the Magic Keyboard and Apple pencil. Again, if I have the money. I really need a good storage device to save all my videos. I'm running out of space. But, I don't trust them. Because for some reason, they're always fck-up.

Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS, 44MM) - Silver Aluminum Case with White Sport Band (Renewed)

There will be a new Series 6 Apple watch with an added blood oxygen level sensor. You can watch it on the Apple event video above. They'll explain it better. The only thing I know is that I still don't like the thick almost square watch design. Are they going to stick to the design forever? Well, I hope not. Although, I have to admit I'm curious about how good and useful it is.

I'm into games and tech, so definitely I'll like to check out the watch. But, it's kinda pricey. I'll imagine only professional sportsmen or women will buy this kind of watch. Or a health freak. And, those who have a health problem like diabetes. If you need to know your heart rate, have high blood pressure and hypertension this will be useful information to have right at your wrist.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (41mm, GPS, Bluetooth) Smart Watch with Advanced Health monitoring, Fitness Tracking, and Long lasting Battery - Mystic Bronze (US Version)

If you're interested, you can read up on VO2 Max here (Wikipedia). This sensor would have been good when I was in the military 20 + years ago. Back then, I thought I had a breathing problem. Went to the local area doc and they say, there's nothing wrong with me. It's during a routine medical check-up for a job in the hospital that I was recommended to see a nose specialist since I keep sniffing even though I wasn't sick.

Turn out, my nose was broken and the specialist tried pushing a metal rod up my nose but couldn't get through. My nose was so badly broken, it was shaped like an 'S'. Yup, I didn't know I had a broken nose. I think it might have happened during the amateur boxing competition that I entered. Got into the final and lost. I remember my corner guy telling me there's blood coming out my nose.

Yeah, it's kinda funny if you think about it. Imagine, someone broke your nose and you didn't even realize it. I actually didn't feel any pain. But, I had a horrible time having to spend almost two weeks in the hospital after the nose ops. I didn't return for a checkup until several years later. This time, after I started having a hearing problem.

I went to see the ears specialist and he told me because I didn't return for the nose checkups, all the water, and ear wax had hardened and blocked my ears. They offered to drill my left ear as it's affected more but in the end, it was not advisable for fear of infections. Which could make matters much worse. At least, my right ear still has 80% hearing.

Lol. I'm rambling off topics again. In any case, I guess this kind of watch does help you in some ways. Now, if only I have the money to buy them. That's pretty much there is in the Apple Event. They are offering Fitness + subscription service which would help and motivates you to do exercise. Professional athletes and fitness junkies will love it.

I might talk more about the products later on if there's anything new. So, don't forget to subscribe to my blog and youtube channel!
