Finally! Bought my first road bike. I decided to get the Java Veloce (main company website) which is within my budget range. Since I'm a newbie and haven't ridden a road bike before, I'm pretty excited to own one. At the same time, I'm also afraid because I have a slipped disc.

When my bike arrived, I took it out for a quick spin. Testing the brakes and derailleur. The seller that assembled and tuned my bike told me they upgraded the headset, crank, pedals, and Shimano Sora shifter. Not really sure why but, I was OK with it.

I'm not familiar with the JAVA brand but as I've said, it was within my budget. I also like the design and it actually fits my height. Though, I think I'm gonna changed to a shorter stem. I had to modify the seat post length as I'm not comfortable with it being too high and the drop-bar being too far.

I already can feel the strain in my back. And, that's only for riding a short while. But, I wanted to try a road bike. Especially, for the speed. I'm still not sure how to use the shifters. I think the left is for changing the front gears and the right for the back gears.

At first, I thought the right was changing to lower gears and the left for moving it to high. While riding and testing I discovered, not. The left was for the front and the right for changing the back. I went to check the right shifters before typing this and only now do I know to use them.

Apparently, if I push the brake lever to the left it's for shifting to the smallest gear and if I pushed all the way in, it's for the bigger gears. I'm thinking of testing my bike again in the evening. I want to see how fast this thing can go. But, my speedometer hasn't arrived yet.

Whenever I rode my mountain bike to the beach or national parks, I always feel like wanting to go low and go faster. That's why I bought a drop bar and changed my MTB handlebar. It feels weird at first but using a drop bar makes me wanna go for speed.

Using the drop bar does really feel nice when you want speed. Whereas when I'm riding my mountain bike, I tend to relax more. That makes me wanna try a road bike. I'm still in the process of adjusting and even changing the bike stems to make myself more comfortable riding the Java road bike.

I don't really care for speed but power when I ride my mountain bike. There's a little slope I need to clear before reaching my workplace every day. It's kinda a good way to train my legs. But, as I've said before, sometimes you feel like wanting to go faster on a straight road.

I'm wondering how fast can my Java Veloce go. Of course, it can't be as fast as other high-end road bikes. I'm not joining any competition or anything. Just want to enjoy the power of my mountain bike and the speed of my Veloce.

As I'm still waiting for a new shorter bike stem and a speedometer, I won't be riding my road bike, yet. I also need to get used to a drop bar. Though I got comfortable when using a drop bar on my mountain bike. Once, I feel ok with the setup. I'll be ready to go on a long ride.

Wow! After watching the Asus ROG Phone 5 Event highlight, I think they're definitely going all out. It's kinda funny that even though Razer has been hyping about going into the mobile gaming phone market, they close shop while Asus just keeps going strong.

I'm already an Asus ROG gaming laptop fan and now, I'm probably going to be their mobile gaming phone fan. Although, I'm still sticking with my Samsung phone. It's because I've bought and used a Razer gaming phone before and now I just have faith in Samsung mobile.

What I hope is that Asus will come out with their own version of the Razer "Project Linda" lap dock aka laptop shell for their mobile gaming phone. Asus boasts about their latest CPU snapdragon 888. That's pretty powerful but what's the use of all that power if you're just playing casual games?

The triple-A game dev needs to port their games to mobile straight. Just like they ported their game to the Nintendo Switch. Imagine, playing Skyrim or Doom on your mobile phone? And, I don't mean streaming. I mean installing the game so you can play it offline, any time and anywhere!

To me, if the game dev doesn't do that, I'll rather play the games on my cheaper Nintendo Switch lite. This gaming phone isn't cheap that's for sure. And, they don't even come with a physical controller. Although, I'm interested to try out the Air Trigger technology.

There are actually 3 versions of the Asus ROG phone if I can remember correctly. The most expensive, obviously, is the ROG Ultimate. It boasts 18GB of Ram, 6400Mbps clock speed, and the most advanced 3200mHZ ram clock.

Another thing I'm mystified by is why nobody making a gaming tablet. Like I've said before, gaming companies like Asus and Razer can easily create a gaming tablet. One thing for sure is that it'll have a bigger screen size. I think a 7-9 inch screen size tablet would be just nice for gaming.

And, with all that power, it can also become a replacement for your laptop or desktop. Sometimes, we don't need a heavy-duty laptop with Microsoft Windows OS. You can use a keyboard case and voila, do your school homework, work project, or just for watching youtube.

Nowadays, Android OS is already powerful enough to run the latest apps. Get a docking system, something like the above Asus laptop dock but using it with your phone or tablet. I actually like this dock more than the mobile dock accessory for the ROG phone.

Oh, I also like the latest ROG Strix Go BT Headphones that they announced at the launch event. The design doesn't look awkward as the rest of their triangle theme headset. It actually looks like the Razer Opus Bluetooth headphone. It boasts 45hrs and AI noise canceling.

Not a bad collection of new devices and accessories. Wish they send me the Ultimate ROG Phone Fans edition. That would be cool. In any case, if there's any update on their availability, I'll definitely post it on my blog. So, don't forget to come back!

I love my Nintendo Switch lite!

When Nintendo announced their new gaming console, the Nintendo Switch, they didn't really wow me. I think everyone else was thinking the same thing too. In fact, I read that the C.E.O of Pokemon thinks the Nintendo Switch will fail.

Well, a couple of months back, they were reporting that over 50 million units were already sold. I only decided to get it (on a whim) after news of Skyrim and Fifa18 will be available for the Switch. My nephew also prompted me to buy it because he wanted to play FIFA18 on it.

Basically, I bought it because I was curious. But, the games were really limited back then. I only got Zelda Breath of the Wild and some free games. Skyrim and Fifa18 couldn't have come soon enough. My nephew really loves playing both of the games on the switch.

The fun thing about the Nintendo Switch is that you can dock it and play on a big screen Tv or monitor. Sometimes, I'll play games on my Tv but my nephew prefers playing on the handheld mode. I guess that's why Nintendo came out with the Nintendo Switch lite.

I finally cave in, sold my original Nintendo Switch to my nephew, and got the special edition Zacian and Zamazenta switch lite. Now, my nephew is also thinking of selling off the original switch and get his own Switch lite.

The Switch lite is much more portable than the portable Nintendo Switch. If that even makes sense. It's being much smaller in size. But, the controller is fixed and you can't dock it. I miss being able to dock my Switch and playing on my Tv.

Hopefully, we can dock the Nintendo Switch lite in the future iteration. It's really part of the appeal of the Switch. Big or small. Also, it'll be cool to have Spotify and Netflix available. I love watching youtube on my switch lite before I sleep. It's great for listening to music too.

The other day, I bought a mouse and keyboard converter for my Switch lite. Now, I can basically play any games using a mouse and keyboard. I specifically bought a one-handed keyboard and mouse for this purpose. It's really fun to play fps and RPG games with it.

One thing to note is that you'll need a USB C adapter if the converter has a USB A connector. It's also best to get a USB C adapter that has USB A ports and also allows you to charge your Nintendo Switch at the same time.

I also bought myself a Razer Kraken Gaming Headset for my Switch lite. It really sounds great to me. I use it when I'm watching youtube or listening to music. Well, it's good for gaming pc, but it also works well with my Switch lite. Razer should design one, especially for the Switch.

In today's world, it's kinda weird that you can't use Bluetooth to connect directly to your headphone, keyboard, and mouse or controller. I know you can. But, you'll need to buy a third-party Bluetooth connector. Why can't I use my Xbox one s controller to play on the Switch? 

It's like every company wants to make more money from controlling what you can or cannot do with the gaming device that you PAID for. There's still no one solution for all. I thought USB C gonna solve that. Apparently, not.

Talking about the controller. I saw a see-through design, and am really mesmerized by it. You can see the buzzer inside it working. Wish mine have more led lightings. I love my devices that also include RGB lighting effects.

My room is mostly dark. I only switch my light on when I need it. Hence, having devices with RGB lighting is kinda fun. Currently, I've been looking around for a good and cool looking Nintendo Switch lite charging case with a fan. But, the products are pretty limited.

I've actually been thinking of getting a mobile phone game cooler. The other day, my Samsung Note 10+ got so hot when playing Grid Autosport, my device care app actually kills the game to cool it down for me. I thought the cooler might work with my Switch lite too. 

Somebody, need to design a Nintendo Switch lite cooler that looks cool like the product above. Most fan design for the Nintendo Switch is pretty ugly. They also don't work well enough. I'm keeping an eye out for a cool looking, good charging case with a fan.

One more thing is that I'm running out of storage space for my games. My 512GB card only left with 100GB. I might get the 1TB MicroSD Card or even a 2TB version if they have it. It's kinda a gamble as I'm not sure if it'll work with the Nintendo Switch and if it's good for gaming.

I finally found and bought a military tactical sling bag that basically ticks all my checkboxes. I'm basically looking for a crossbody shoulder bag that could carry my Nintendo Switch lite and the accessories.

The big problem is my Razer Kraken gaming headset. It's freaking hogging all the space in most of my sling bag. Some of the bags I bought are too slim and a tight fit. So the only way is to just bring earphones. I don't like using them. They hurt my ears when long usage.

I don't care what kind of earphones in the market right now, but I hate wearing them. And, I don't like poking them into my ears. My preferred listening device is an over-ear headphone. Since I got my Razer Kraken headphone, that's the only one I use when gaming.

I have bought and tried several single shoulder strap bag and this tactical bag is the best. It has 3 pockets outside that I can actually put in my external controller and even the whole of my Switch lite case. That's how big it is.

Since, both my Nintendo Switch lite and external controller can fit in the pockets outside, that leaves me more space inside. My Razer headset will snugly fit at the bottom, and the pockets inside for my 60% keyboard and power bank.

Of course, I don't usually bring my keyboard along, if I'm just going out for a while. I'm just testing out, how much stuff I can actually carry with me with just the sling backpack. And this bag has proven to be much better than others that I have bought.



Nintendo Switch Lite - Zacian and Zamazenta Edition

I might be biased as I'm ex-military but I like the design of the sling bag too. I like how wide the strap is. And, they also include an extra sling if I want to change sides from right to left. Would be cool if they include free carabiners but you can use them to hook to the various straps.

There are various colors available but I chose black. It kinda looks nicer and a little stealth. Oh, there's also a handle at the top for quick carry on the go. If you have an insignia, you can patch it too. I tried putting my old name tag but the velcro is on the wrong side.
