I decided to try out, Path of Exile - Free to play available via steam. Okay, it's been out for awhile but I was bored. There are so many games, sometime, you're pretty much overwhelmed. And, you just don't feel like playing.
The game, not really as fancy as Diablo III but, it offers something different. A different story line and adventure. My gaming rig can handle the game quite well too. Almost, all on high. I was lazy to dabble in the setting. So, I let them set on auto.
My pc have 16gb of ram and a GTX 1060 3gb. Although, I'm running out of space to install new games. That's why I had to delete those that I stop playing. I hate that the games today are so big, it ate up most of my hard disk drive.
I get it that, the games today are massive with latest graphics and files. But, not all good games got to have beautiful graphics. What about having good story line that make you want to finish the game?
Frankly, I've never finished any kind of games for so long. I've even stop buying games, because they're all about multiplayer and having to pay to play. Most game console got the subscription offer with latest games. I just ignore them all.
Nowadays, I just stick with retro games. There are so many out there that I haven't even heard of. I love the fact that I can just slowly enjoy playing the game whenever I want even without wifi or eating up my data.
I discovered, a couple of months back that most of the games that I've downloaded via Apple app store or Google play can't be played without internet access. That's when I realized, all that latest fancy games depend too much for you to log in and play.
The older games doesn't have that kind of problem. You can play the game, basically anytime and anywhere. If you're travelling or on a holiday, you don't need internet access to play. That's part of the reason why I like buying full version of a game.
Anyway, if you're looking for a gaming rig, check this one out!
For this month, Skillz have selected Cube Cube as their tournament game. All you users have to do is enter the match code CCJUNE18.
To join, just click the text links for the tournament- one for Samsung and another for iOS. Simply cop follow the links below on to the site, which includes the Match Code:
If you didn't know yet, This War of Mine, is FREE to play for 3 days!
You can download it on steam right now!
Watch my video gameplay if you're not sure what the game is all about. It came out in 2014 but, doesn't look that old. This is actually, the first time, I've heard of it. I'm not really a fan of survival games but, it was pretty interesting.
I only managed to survived for 14 days, but I'm sure, I'll get better if I keep at it. Although, I don't play any kind of game that long. Nowadays, we're like kids in a candy store. So many good games to play and you don't want to be stuck into only one.
That's why I prefer to buy and play a full game instead of the new paying system. Where you keep having to pay to play. It's becoming irritating. One of the reason, why I don't buy any more games on Xbox is because they keep attaching to the Gold or whatever club crapz.
Maybe, I'm the ol skool type of gamer and the gaming world today, suits more to the millennial. In any case, everyone has their own gaming preferences. The important thing is you enjoy the game. Don't get lost into it though.

I just got my very own BBC micro: bit wear it kit last Friday. This is great for kids who like to wear it on their wrist, hang it over their neck or clip it to their bag. It comes with extra wrist wrap, clips, double AA batteries, casing, and a quick guide.
The BBC Micro: bit is really fun and interesting to play with. It's generally built for kids to play and learn coding with but adult alike will find it fun too. It's relatively cheap and if you buy a motor shield and dc motors, you can even make a smart robot car.
You can visit their main site @ https://microbit.org and learn to code online with Javascript Blocks editor or MicroPython. Design your own game or project online and download it to your pc or direct it to your micro bit. Pair it with your phone via Bluetooth and code on the go!
I've been learning coding with python for my other raspberry pi 3 and even Arduino smart car robot project. So, I'm also happy that I can even use python to code for the micro: bit. Although, I've been playing with the Javascript blocks editor more as it's much easier.
I've actually created my own version of the "brick breaker" game for the micro: bit. You can check out the game and code here. Download it to your micro: bit and try it out. Edit and mod it if you want. I'm thinking of creating a racing and pinball game.
The more you dabble with the coding, the more you'll learn. I also check out some of the great tutorials on youtube and the micro bit main site. It's incredible that you can do so much with one tiny board. Brilliant!
Get yours if you haven't!
