I already have a camo backpack that I put my lunch and water bottle. But, I want to carry my phone and wallet for quick access. So, I bought myself a waist-handphone sling canvas pouch. I cross-sling the pouch to my chest while cycling to work.
My nephew actually bought one a couple months back and I thought I'll get the same design. It's not too big or too small. Just nice to fit in my Samsung Note 10+, wallet, and keys. I've already been using it for a week and am loving it.

I got the black charcoal color and my nephew actually likes it. He actually wanted the color as he'll be able to use it when he was with the police force. I thought he wanted the green army, which I'll normally choose for myself.
I can also carry the pouch on my waist if I wanted to. When I was younger, I love using pouches and carry them on my waist but, nowadays, I prefer cross sling. I'll feel like I'm back in the 80s and 90s if I'm going to carry it around on my waist.

This type of cross-sling pouches design is pretty new. Okay, they've been around for a couple of years. But, it's only used by mainly the youth today. I certainly, wasn't interested in carrying a cross-sling pouch before I got myself a cross-shoulders sling bag.
I even thought it's a weird bag design. Why would people want to carry a cross-shoulder sling bag? I have a slipped disc, so the messenger bag is actually bad for my back. That's why my favorite go-to bag is the backpack.

The waist or cross-shoulder sling bag is great if you're wearing pants or shorts that don't have pockets or deep pockets for your phones and other loose items like a wallet and a bunch of keys. Instead of the items all over the place, why not put them all in one pouch?
If you're going to the gym, cycling, hiking, or whatever sports, a cross-shoulder sling bag for your most important items and quick access. Most of the pouches are also waterproof, so you don't have to worry about your mobile or other items getting wet.

If you're not interested in sports, there's also a nice cool leather design sling pouch. You can use it for travel or when you're out and about. Great for passports, cash, or any important items. Your pants and pockets don't have to look bulky.
Personally, I have a problem with my phone sticking out of my pants pockets all the time. I only realize the pockets are not deep enough for my big phone. Mobile phones size are not like the old days where it's pocket friendly. This is where the waist handphone sling pouch is useful.
