Computing Technology Are Getting Smaller Faster and Lighter

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Gaming and Entertainment Laptop (Ryzen 9 4900HS 32GB-Core, 40GB RAM, 8TB PCIe SSD, RTX 2060 Max-Q, Win 10 Home) with MS 365 Personal, Hub

Hey guys,

Check it out!

One of my Youtube Channel viewers asked me if my HP 15s laptop is using a combination of SSD and HDD. I told him, it's 512GB SSD. He and you can actually take a look inside of my laptop via the video above. I include a link to the video with my reply.

Frankly, the reason, I opened up my laptop was to see if I can upgrade the existing 8GB Ram to 16GB. I always believed 8GB is the minimum and 16GB would make things a little faster. Opening up the laptop wasn't easy though. I actually had to google it. Why in hell we had to pry it open is beyond me.

Most laptops have a panel below where you can easily unscrew and open it up at the bottom. But, whoever design the HP laptop is an idiot that makes people need a pryer tool to open it up. Just to upgrade the rams or SSD. My new laptop now has small cutting marks.

I'm just happy, I didn't split the plastic casing into half. The material is pretty strong but easy to get pitted. All those 'crack' noises also alarm me. But, it's just the locking as you pry it out slowly on all sides. I wouldn't mind if I've had my laptop for a year or two but I just got it 1 or two months ago.

Anyway, once I pried it open, I was surprised how small and thin the main motherboard was. Also, because it's SSD, makes it much lighter. I thought to myself, no wonder, the laptop is pretty thin and light. Even my 3-year-old, Acer 2-in-1, 12-inch Intel Celeron laptop is heavier.

Computing technology getting smaller, faster, and lighter is not new. Experts already predicted it since the early days. Just look at our smartphone today. It's practically a laptop in your pocket. Android and iOS also help in the advance of technology.

It's not as bulky and slower as the Microsoft Windows 10, operating system. My desktop 120GB SSD, is not even enough to install it. I've been trying to delete everything I can because it's been eating up my storage space every time it updates.

I'm thinking of updating it to 512GB SSD. My main 1TB HDD died on me a couple months back. I need to buy a new one. Currently, I'm using my old laptop HDD as a backup. I actually had to buy a new cable to connect them as my old one broke while I was figuring out how to disconnect.

The One Netbook OneGx1 is probably one of the best examples of a smaller, faster, and lighter mini Windows 10 portable gaming laptop. I would really like the chance to try out this laptop but I'll need the dough or sponsor though.

I mostly like the design except for the butt sticking out at the back. But, it's for the cooling system. The controller is kinda ugly too. I believe you can't charge it like a Nintendo Switch controller. I'm not sure but maybe you can buy an iPad or Nintendo Bluetooth controller that's also compatible with windows.

Somebody needs to combine the OneGx1 laptop with a better retractable third-party Nintendo Switch controller and there you have a cool portable windows 10 gaming console. With my collections of Steam games, it can definitely rival the popular Nintendo Switch.

I just thought of an idea. What if you put another screen behind the mini laptop cover and use it for gaming. And, when you're done or want to use the computer, you open the lid and use it as a normal laptop. It's something like the Samsung Z Fold 2 which has an external screen.

Well, if you can use a third-party retractable controller on the Z Fold 2, you'll now have an android gaming tablet. There are already many controllers for the android and iOS tablet so, you can use them too. These are some of the ideas companies can create new multiple-use portable windows 10 gaming console. Albeit with a better smaller, faster, lighter CPU and GPU.
