ROG Zephyrus G15 (2020) Ultra Slim Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 240Hz FHD, GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS, 16GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD, Windows 10 Pro, GA502IV-XS76
Hey guys,
Check it out!
I actually pre-ordered Warcraft III Reforged last year. Or was it early this year? I can't remember but decided to download and try out the game on my new HP laptop 15s AMD Ryzen 7 with Radeon X Vega 10 graphics.
I figured, my laptop can play the game as it can play Diablo III pretty well. Although, it's pre-set on low-medium. The HP 15s is not a hardcore gaming laptop. It lags when playing Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. It can only go on low. I had to lower or off some specs. Still playable though.
Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop, 14" Full HD IPS, AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Octa-Core with Radeon Graphics, 8GB LPDDR4, 512GB NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Backlit KB, Fingerprint Reader, Alexa Built-in, SF314-42-R9YN
The only real gaming laptop I had was the Alienware M14x. Which I bought a couple years back. I actually wanted the M11x. But, couldn't get it as it was only sold for a year, I think. I really had fun with it and try out many games.
The specs weren't that bad when you can almost play any games on it sets on medium-high. It can play Crysis and even Gears of War for PC. Stupid Microsoft, I paid for a digital version of the game, and now I can't play it because they delete the game from the store.
HIDevolution ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401IV, Moonlight White 14" FHD 120Hz, 3.0 GHz Ryzen 9 4900HS, RTX 2060 Max-Q, 16 GB 3200MHz RAM, 1 TB PCIe SSD
The reason I got myself the HP 15s is that it looks like the latest Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop. Of course, if I had the money, I would have got it. The HP 15s is half the price of the G14. The G14 is the only gaming laptop that got me as excited as my M14x.
Also, if you look at the G14, it doesn't actually look like the usual crazy design gaming laptop. It's something that you can bring to work or school without anyone looking weird at you. Although, they might when you 'on' the anime led lights on the laptop lid cover.
ASUS ROG GU502GW-AH76 Zephyrus M Thin and Portable Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 240Hz FHD IPS, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, Intel Core i7-9750H, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, Per-Key RGB, Windows 10 Home
I must say, Asus has some nice other gaming laptop design. I don't like the design of most Alienware gaming laptops anymore. I prefer the old slick M14x. Gaming laptops don't have to be weird or out of the world's design. At first, I kinda like the new PS5 design, now, I think it's too far out.
I'm not sure about you but nowadays, I prefer the slick, simple modern design for my digital devices. I read how Steve Jobs was so into industrial design and you can see that on Apple's products. Nowadays, I don't think they follow that mantra anymore after he died. I mean, just look at the iPhone 12?
ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 300Hz FHD IPS Type, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080S Max-Q, Intel Core i9-10980HK, 16GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe SSD, Per-Key RGB, Thunderbolt 3, Win10 Pro, GX550LXS-XS96
If you're looking for something different, you might want to check out the Asus Duo. I found this weird at first but now, I kind of like it. That second screen might actually be useful. I'm using a dual-screen for my main pc setup. So, I kind of get it.
I recorded the Warcraft III Reforged on my laptop and it went smoothly. The game might lag a tiny bit because of that. I also tried editing using the Microsoft free simple video editor. There was an instance when I thought, I didn't record properly but turn out the video froze.
I think it's because the AMD Vega 10 graphics isn't good enough. So, that might be something for you to think about if you're getting the same type of laptop specs as mine. I still think it would help a bit if I upgrade my rams to 12-16GB from the 8GB.
I remembered upgrading from 4GB to 8GB for my Intel Celeron N4200 with HD 505 laptop and it immediately improved the laptop performance. So, upgrading rams does help. I used to think 8GB was the minimum for Windows 10 laptops. Now, it might be more than that.
Well, if you're thinking of getting the Warcraft III Reforged, I definitely recommend it. It's just like Starcraft but with a Warcraft theme. I just played the game yesterday, and I'm definitely going to play it again today if I have the time. Especially, since my laptop can play it.
