Life is like a roundabout

What is a roundabout? A roundabout is when a car has to do a semi circle to reach the other side of the road rather then like a cross junctions. Or you'll have to drive a one big circle to do a U-turn.

A couple of things happened last month that make me say that "life is like a roundabout". Here's what happen. I had wanted to look for a loan to invest in my online biz. So, I check out my local newspaper classified. I found a couple adverts that offer a loan through a financial institutions. So, I sms or called for more info. A lady called me back saying that I'll have to sell my house to ask for a loan. What!? If I had to do that I wouldn't have to call them for a loan right? I might as well thought of that earlier and just do it myself. What kind of a loan company is it?

Anyway, the others had another way of helping me get a loan and that is by purchasing 2 laptops at a department store. That's a clever idea. If I had known, I would have do it myself without going through them. Well, I thought what the heck. I wanted the loan and I'll just give them the new laptop get my money and pay the loan for the monthly instalments. But, I'll have to wait for at least 3 days before my purchases are approved by the department store credit department. Guess what? My purchased wasn't freaking approved!

What's the deal with this creditor? They'll be making money off me and they rejected my purchased! Well, I guess maybe they felt I couldn't afford to make the monthly repayment. And that they have too many customers that are paying them money. Well, I can guarantee you that the department store will close down soon enough if they reject customers. What I hate about all this is that, I have to wait a freaking 3 days to know if my purchased is approved. I mean, can't they do it within 24hrs at least? Don't they know that fast service is the order of the day? I can tell you if a department store are willing to accept EVERY customer and the creditors approved a monthly installment within 24hrs then the more profit they'll make compare to other department stores?

I almost felt sorry for the guy (middleman) who I applauded for being sincere, good service, and doing everything he can to make the deal go through but alas the freaking creditor didn't approved my purchased for the 2 laptops + smartphone treo 650. If they don't want my money I'll give it to the shop that want it.

Okay, so what does all this have to do with life being a roudabout? Well, I actually got the loan from another source. My girlfriends' mother. See? I had actually ask her to ask her mother for a loan but she didn't want to giving me a whole lot of excuse. But, in the end she did and got it. Geez, if she had done that earlier I wouldn't have to go through all the fuss of looking for a loan from so-called financial institutes and paying freaking high % on interest!

Hey, I'm a man of my word and I'll definitely pay her back. The good thing is, there's no freaking interest and I'll be able to pay her back fast and easy. In the end, it all ends well. What I've learned from all this episode is that, never give up or that if shit happens doesn't mean its the end of everything. Sometime, bad things happen for a reason and you never know it's actually for your own good. One bad thing happens doesn't really mean it's the end and your life will sucks for the rest for your life.

When good things happens doesn't mean you'll have a good life forever either. But, it's part and parcel of life. Always look forward, think forward. Last year, the tsunami killed 150,000 people in asia and maybe more. But, it's not the end of the world yet. Yes, the catostrophe is devastating but it's not the end of the road for the survivors. Life still continues. No matter what you have to continue living. This could be shocking to you when I say this but, some good will come out from the tsunami. It's up to them or us to see what it is. Remember, things happen for a reason and I don't mean in just religion sense. Life covers everything and not just religions. We are human, that lives for a reason. Even earthworms has a reason to live. If you think hard enough, if you look hard enough, you'll discover the secret of life. Life is like a roundabout. Where you coming from and where you'll return?
